Sol Cayo Coco: Wonderful resort

We have stayed at Sol Cayo Coco 5 times past 2 years and never fails to please us. It is the wonderful friendly staff, beautiful grounds and not to mention 2 magnificent beaches that keep us coming back. Looking forward to spend more vacations here

Melia Cayo Coco: Lovely Resort

My husband and I are in our early 50s and this resort was a great place to just chill. No kids with harried parents or hawkers on the beach. Food was good and of variety, drinks were delicious and the people amazing. Go, you won’t regret it.

Melia Marina Varadero: Would not go back!

This is my fourth trip to Cuba. This resort has potential but didn't meet my expectations. Food was very good but they constantly ran out of plates, glasses, spoons. Lineups were long. It was difficult to get water or coffee at the buffet. Staff were very busy - perhaps more staff is needed. The lobby bar frequently did not have wine and other items. Very few servers and the lobby bar was several people deep. The grounds appear to have adequate lighting standards/poles but the lights are burn [... read more]ed out making walking in the evening dangerous. Some staff are wonderful, others dismissive. We attended one ala carte. It was good. Unable to book any others as they were full. We attempted to book them on our second day. The beach is quite a distance away from the far end of the resort. A Trolley is available for rides around the resort but during some periods there is only one trolley for the whole resort. It was necessary to call maintenance to the room on a couple occasions. They came very quickly. We couldn't get the room cleaning sorted out. Occasionally they missed our room, it appears that the towels are only replaced if left on the floor. We observe the cleaner one day - she worked hard but did not appear to have any disinfectant or soap. She used only water.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Terrific Resort

The hotel was welcoming and clean. Staff really try to help you and make sure your needs are met Food was average. The grounds were beautiful. Beach was fine but not as pretty as those in Cayo Coco Lots and lots of places to walk. The snack bar was awesome and we went there more than the buffet

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Beach

This is our second time to this resort in the last two yrs.because of location and beach. The resort is ok but needs an upgrade to food selection and restaurant service quality just not there when we were there also not enough beach chairs or pool area. People had to get up at 7 o'clock to get half descent lounging areas. The resort visually looks great but needs lot of work not enough workers there to support client's needs. Hotel Camino del Mar: Absolutely Awesome!!

This was an amazing vacation! The Melia Cayo Guillermo and their staff more than met our expectations!!! Rooms were charming...grounds were gorgeous...Food was very good...and the staff were phenomenal ! Melia Marina Varadero: Definately not a 4 star resort, 3 at best, the pool in the picture is not from the melia marina

We booked the Melia Marina View Room, The level Our package included a private dining room/bar and 7 a la carte restaurants. The dining room meals were good, however, the drinks that were available in the bar were limited, far less than appeared on the drink menu. We went to the Chinese restaurant and it was the worst meal we have ever had The entire meal was precooked, and very small portions. For desert they served us ice cream, 70% melted on the plate. The swimming pool water was extremely  [... read more]cold, very few swimmers, not enough seating and most of the lounges were broken. The pool are was very dirty. It needed a good pressure washer spray. To buy the Cuban dollar (CUC), your cost is the same as buying a US dollar. Our room was overlooking the marina, however it was also over the nightclub below, and immediately behind our room, at ground level were 6 industrial size air conditioners. We were moved to the pool side which was much better. We asked and were moved again to another Melia resort, The Hotel Paradisus Princesa del Mar, Junior suite, Royal Service, no kids, very nice at no additional cost.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Our Cuba Cottage

Our second trip to what we now refer to as our Cuba Cottage. Wonderful place if you like sparse crowds, stunning beach, good food, excellent music entertainment, and a Rock Star staff. We have made many friends here and will return again. Built in 2004, it is one of the older resorts on Cayo Santa Maria, but it is spotlessly clean, and you are quickly made to feel welcome.

Melia Internacional: Horrible food

The hotel was nice , clean beautiful view but the food was really bad , we ate the same S*** food for 7 days and the food was placed at the same location as always never changed places . I will never come back to this hotel. The food was hard and bad flavor. I won’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Good holiday for price

Hotel is starting to look tired. Lighting is a huge issue on pathways and in buildings, bring a flashlight. Check in fairly easy and took us to our rooms explaining where things were along the way. Food average for Cuba, no yogurt or cereal to speak of, also some mornings no to little bread for toast. Service was pretty good all around. International and Tex mex al a crate pretty good. Rooms large, we had a king bed, but pillows are really flat. Water was replenished regularly as well as beer. Rooms clean and towels replaced. Tv worked great. Safe worked great and it is large. Bar service was awesome. Lobby bar huge, drinks awesome. Chairs are really low and tables high, not very comfy. Entertainment brought in was good, resort entertainment average. Ladies toilet @ lobby was shut down due to flooding one day. Toilet paper and soap an issue @ times at pool. Not much for day time entertainment at pool. Played darts a couple of days. Pools kept fairly clean and grounds tidy. Beach beautiful-lots of shells so you may want water shoes. Lots of palapas @ beach and some at pool. No blender drinks @ pool, just mixed drinks and beer. Never had an issue getting a lounger, but resort was only 67% full.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great time

Had a great time,met great people stuff was awesome food could’ve been a little better but the la la carts were awesome . Rooms are nice and clean had some issue with the blow dryer that was fixed the next day

Melia Jardines del Rey: Such an AMAZING beach!

Resort was very large with a good layout. Food was good at the restaurants ( but very very small portions) but buffets were awful. Food was very repetitive and never ever hot. Drinks were all very tasty. Coffee is one of the best things about Cuba! Service was great from the staff.. all were helpful and friendly. I got the week for $799 so all in all for the price I paid i was happy with the price and resort. I wouldn't want to pay much more then that considering the food was not the b [... read more]est I've had in Cuba and this was my 4th trip. Resort is close to the airport which was super handy for the transfer there and back. I would definitely go back again for the right price but I tend to not go to the same resorts as I like to try new ones out

Melia Jardines del Rey: Fantastic service

The grounds were maintained well and were lush and beautiful. The staff are amazing and are always friendly and helpful - always with a smile on their faces. The beds were harder than I'm used to but you cant please everyone - so no big deal. We love the people in Cuba so we keep going back. We have visited this resort twice and will likely be back.

Melia Las Dunas: Great resort

Las Dunas was a pleasant surprise. We have travelled to Cuba many times (10+) and have been progressing getting disappointed with Cuba and the service provided. Melia Las Dunas changes that the food was good BBQ everyday at lunch was amazing.. the room was well taken care of and the staff was awesome and very attentive. We would go back again

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Beautiful resort!

We had an absolutely amazing time last week at Melia Peninsula Varadero resort! It honestly exceeded our expectations, and that’s saying a lot as I’m quite picky. The food wasn’t great but that’s to be expected in Cuba. But everything else was absolutely amazing! Great service; clean and very well kept resort; large rooms; incredible beaches; no bugs; even with lots of guests, nothing ever felt overcrowded; family friendly but even as a couple, we had a lovely time. Melia Marina Varadero: Good resort at a great price

Well maintained and the food was good for being in Cuba. I've been to Cuba a few times and the food is normally lacking in taste. However this resort found to be good. The staff and beach make this our favorite vacation to Cuba so far!

Memories Cayo Largo: Wonderful time!

Spent a week at this resort and would 100% return! Beautiful beautiful beaches and such a great little island! The only downfall is sometimes the beaches can be washed away but the beauty is that you’re never far away from something even more wonderful down the island!

Sol Palmeras: Resort was awesome!

Staff was very helpful with my food allergies which was a huge relief. We had a great celebration for my father's 50th birthday. We came with 19 people and we had a great time. Mine and my sisters room was a little dated but nonetheless very clean. Maid service was wonderful. The rest of our friends all had updated rooms that were very nice. the beach was wonderful and lots of beach chairs to go around.Thank you for the great service and wonderful stay.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great resort for young families

We stayed at this resort as a family of 4, two children aged 5 and 6. This place was really great for their age as the pool was shallow and the water slides were the perfect sizes. The food was okay at the buffet, the a la cartes were very good. Highly recommend the Japanese restaurant, the chefs were great with the kids and food was very flavorful. The beach bbq had a nice atmosphere as well! The beach was phenomenal, white sand, nice waves, but you have to go early to get a good spot. Melia Peninsula Varadero: Good bang for your buck

My family With kids (6,4 and 11 months) really enjoyed our stay at This resort. The kids club always had great activities for the kids to do. There was a variety of shows for kids and adults. The entertainment staff at the beach and pools were very entertaining. The food was good always something for everyone. The a la cartes were really good. My only negative was the pool temperatures were really cold. The kids and adults could only play for a bit before our lips turned blue.
