Sun Palace Hotel: Definitely a couples only, not adults only resort

Although the resort was nice, location great, staff were great, I was disappointed that when we asked at the time of booking if this would be appropriate for a mother daughter university grad trip and they said yes. They gave us a room with two double beds which was very accommodating but as soon as we arrived and were given the one hour introductory spiel of the various Palace properties and after having dinner in the restaurant, it was blatantly evident this was a couples only resort. We ask [... read more]ed the manager at the sun Palace to move us to the beach palace and they did so with no problem whatsoever but unfortunately we had to pay for our transportation to the beach palace which I was perfectly fine with but they didn’t have an ocean view room available and I had paid extra for ocean view So needless to say that was very disappointing because this was my gift to my daughter for graduating from university and I wanted it to be special. Only go to the sun Palace if you are a couple not even two girlfriends unless you are partners because you will not feel comfortable . The beach palace was amazing I just wished we would have been advised at the time of booking that that would’ve been the better property because then we would’ve had our ocean view room and been there right from the start . On our return home Sunwing cancelled our flight after waiting in the airport for 11 hours sent us back to another resort that was A three star at best and they told us it was five star we basically slept woke up and went back to the airport the following morning . So that was a bit of a nightmare as well . Sunwing is terrible about communicating with passengers when flights are delayed or cancelled they keep you in the dark and just keep changing the departure time by 10 minutes every 10 minutes it was ridiculous .

Grand Oasis Cancun: Loved Grand Oasis Cancun

My friends and I are all in our early 20's and this resort had it all. I must say though if you are bringing a family or don't really want to party this probably isn't the resort you want. If you are looking to party for a week on a beautiful beach and in a big pool than this is the one for you.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Excellent resort in all categories!

The Finest lives up to its name! The service, food, modern room amenities and grounds, pool and beach, and the kids resort within a resort were all amazing! You can’t go wrong as a family to go here, we all loved it!

Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Simple resort

Ground was super clean and beautiful. Room was spacious with a balcony view of the lagoon and a window view of the ocean. The food was continuously cold and everybody had their little glass for tips which was very intimidating leaving the impression that if you don’t tip you get bad service and in some case was true

Riu Dunamar: Resort was very nice!

The resort was well maintained, always staff around sweeping, mopping, dusting, picking up left glasses or plates. The restaurant staff were very attentive, and for once the red wine was not 'always' cold, a couple times it was.... They had a person with a fully loaded drink cart to travel around the pools, that was pretty cool. Never seen that before. Buffet was good, food was warm/ hard to keep it hot.... salad bar was VERY good, lots of choice. A' la cart restaurants were very good [... read more], and you didn't have to line up for reservations. First come first served and they had lots of room. We only had to wait at 1, and we went 6 times. Wasn't real impressed with the Japanese, it was buffet. Overall, I was extremely happy with my vacation.

GR Solaris: GR Solaris is very good resort

Hotel is very nice, lot of amenities, entertainment was good, rooms very clean and beautiful ocean view, service very good, staff very polite and friendly. Overall very good experience. The only thing I was not happy about: ocean water was not good for swimming and there was a lot of see weed.

Isla Mujeres Palace: Amazing place

Small resort was important to us. It was exactly what like the pictures, food was fantastic, the staff unbelievable..room was terrific. We arrived for our 40th wedding anniversary and walked into our room which was full of flower petals and wine..very thoughtful

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great resort if you like to party

If you like to party, this resort is for you. Drunk people are loud at the night, when they stumble into their rooms, and there's some questionable going ons. There's a lot of extra fees associated with this resort. We got the oceanfront room, so WiFi, and the safe were included. Be prepared to shell out more money for the black wristband. You get way better restaurants and access to more bars and a private beach area. At best, if you're Canadian, this is a low 3-star hotel. If you're in your 20 [... read more]s and looking to have a good time at the beach club, etc., this place is for you. I don't recommend this for families, or people who are older and can afford a better stay elsewhere. As a woman, ladies, be vigilant and have a designated person who's alert at all times around the club area.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Great hotel choice

We really liked this hotel, it is close to the airport, small grounds, great beach and pool. The food was fantastic, best food I've had at an all inclusive. The breakfast is a buffet, lunch and dinner are ordered from a menu, every meal we had was beyond fantastic. Dinner had about six options and lunch had a very big menu with a lot of options. There was always room on the beach and if you didn't get a sun covered spot someone would put an umbrella in the sand for you. The drinks were great and they had waitresses/waiters on the beach to bring you food and drinks. The staff were all great. We really liked how small it was. Every night they had entertainment at dinner - different bands, we liked that vs. the usual shows, it was a nice change. There was no night life other than the band at dinner. We only sat up twice but both nights there were about 10 people sitting up at the bar. The bar by the pool closes at 10 pm and then lobby bar stays open until midnight. We plan on going back to this resort and recommend it for sure. There was a lot of entertainment during the day, always something going on to join into.

Grand Oasis Palm: Great family resort

Lots to do with the kids/ family. Was an interesting mix of families, adults and millennials/ college students as well as nationalities. Overall is fun for everyone! Multiple pools provided ample places for kids to swim and play and the kids club was great for them to go play and dry off and take a break from all the swimming.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Awesome place to party

Rooms were clean, food was great, lots of places to eat..... awesome day & night time music , a great place, not boring like other resorts, always things to do, the outdoor bash at night has great themes and goes on into the morning of partying and dancing, and the Bash grill is open with plenty of food before you call it a night.....

Paradisus Cancun: Great resort great time!

Unreal place, Hugo and Armando were the best, all staff was very nice and took lots of pride in their work! Food was excellent, shows were entertaining and the weather kicked ass especially being from Canada eh! Lots of things to do for all ages and family’s as well. I was with my buddy 30 and myself 31 and enjoyed downtown nightlife as well. Suggest trying this hotel with upgrade to oceanview!

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Outstanding facility

Dreams Sands has the best beach in all of Cancun...We have stayed at many different resorts all throughout Cancun & Mayan Riviera and nothing compares...And of course the service, food, facility is what we come to expect at AM Resorts,,,,excellent!!!!!!!!

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Amazing Resort and Exceptional Vacation

My family had a great time at the Grand. It is really a Grand resort. The food, pools, people, shows and the services – All exceptional. Thank you to each and every hard working person at this resort. You are all great.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Bad service and outdated rooms

Rooms are old. Mini fridge was not stocked up on arrival and they only stock and every 2 days with minimum product. The room did not have drinking water. Extra charge for safe $7 a day. Customer service is very poor. Swimming pools are only cleaned first thing in the morning and not maintained throughout the day although there are large amount of people swimming. The buffet food was very poor quality and very small selection, it seem to be leftovers from other dinners the night before

Temptation Resort & Spa: Party 24/7 Fun Resort

This hotel has been rebuilt and refurbished in the last year and it's beautiful. It's clean and the staff are absolutely fantastic. You are never guaranteed the kind of room you booked unless you booked a very high end one and then if it says 'oceanview', you may have to stretch your head around the balcony to see the ocean, but once you get there, you won't care. The food is excellent, there are a lot of options. Even breakfast has Sea Flirt instead of the buffet if you like. The party sta [... read more]rts every night at 10pm at Bash which is the club onsite and it's always a good time. It doesn't end until about 3am. You can get cabanas if you like. I have been to this resort 11 times and am planning to return in November. If you like to dance and party and talk to a lot of friendly people at a resort that is somewhat small so you get to meet a lot of people, this is the place for you. If you don't like crazy, rowdy fun, avoid this place. One warning - if you go here, be prepared to meet a lot of different kinds of couples (and singles) - some are swingers (NOT ALL), I met a guy that was traveling with his girlfriend and her husband, I met single guys and single girls and all different ages of couples and friends. This resort is topless optional, it's not nude and they don't allow nudity in public places - don't be afraid of this place! BUT if you don't have an open mind, stay away. This place is whatever you want it to be. I went as a single female this time and just partied and had fun with my friends. A lot of offers for other things, but I just say no thanks and then still make friends with them. Everyone is lovely and complimentary and welcoming. Everyone has been there multiple times. If you go once and you like it, you will never go anywhere else. Ages range from about 25-70. The beach is small, I love it because everyone hangs out at the pool all day.. I like the breeze on the beach in the morning and then head up to the pool when the party starts after lunch... you will always find a beach chair.. pool, not so much, but you don't need one. Everyone just puts their stuff along others' chairs and gets in the pool. You won't want to sit anyway. If you do, you can go to the Quiet Pool on the other side of the resort. (You won't see a soul). Not sure what else to say, I hope that helps a bit :)

Moon Palace Cancun: Too Many Kids!

Tripcentral had no idea to which section of Moon Palace we were going - Sunrise, Nizuc or Grand. We ended up in the Grand but spent most of our time in the other locations. Grand is a giant day care centre. Kids running wild everywhere. On top of that, all the facilities at Grand were taken up by the 1000+ participants attending an East Indian wedding. There is nothing like sitting next to some bum who thinks dressing for dinner is an undershirt and no deoderant. Room service was right on time but we did not receive what we ordered. Like all Mexican resorts, the staff were outstanding - with the exception of those people working the lobby. The Guest Services people, when not eyeing passing guests like a predator waiting to pounce, often sent us to 4 (yes, 4) different desks before we found somebody willing too help us with a question or concern. And, there was constant pressure to listen to their sales pitch to join their "Club." If you're looking for relaxation, this Resort is not for you. The resort is well maintained and the rooms are very nice. No need to waste money on a better room. The bars are not fully-stocked. For example, no Grand Marnier. If your favourite drink is the Golden Margarita, like me, you will have to do without. The wrist bracelets now also serve as your room key. A very convenient innovation. And, there are no towel cards to worry about either. The less stress, the better. The pool attendants were very nice and could always produce a new chair or umbrella for us, if required. However, the pool water was hot. Not warm - hot. Not refreshing at all. I really can't see us returning to Moon Palace.

Melody Maker Cancun: Two thumbs up!

The Melody Maker was above our expectations! we stayed the week of April 16 2018 The Staff was fantastic, very pleasant, always had a smile & eager to help in any way. The complex was always very clean with staff always staying on top of things. Food was terrific, with lots of variety & presented well. Drinks were "very" sufficient, & not skimpy like other resorts. Rooms were very clean & housekeeping did an excellent job everyday. The pool & area was great, could use more umbrellas thou [... read more]gh. The beach was top notch, clean and lots of loungers. Bonus was they had a lifeguard on duty. We would highly recommend the Melody for anyone that wants to relax & take it easy.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Awesome vacation resort!

This resort was clean and well maintained. Beautiful grounds, lovely beach and pool areas. Many restaurant choices with well prepared meal options. There are quiet areas and busy areas with activities and music most all of the time. The evening entertainment was always enjoyable at many areas over the entire resort.

Melody Maker Cancun: Great Resort

This was a great resort with lots of superb service. We have been to many many all inclusive and this has been the best by far. 2 pools, individual beach umbrellas, hard working staff, great price. Would go back in a flash.
