Melia Cayo Coco: Lovely Resort

It is an older resort but it is well maintained. In my opinion it's the perfect place to unplug and just relax. It's not an oversized resort so you get to know the staff and they get to know. We have been here 3 years in a row and every time we meet new people and make new friends. The staff even remember us and welcome us like family. Beautiful grounds, miles of gorgeous beach and a terrific staff what more can you ask for. Oh and a very short ride from the Airport to the hotel!

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: A great resort.

Nice hotel, well kept grounds, very good food, friendly staff, good size pool. 24 hour snack bar, very convenient. Good entertainment at night. Buffet had a good selection. A La Carte restaurants were very good.

Sanctuary White Sands: Amazing resort

We had a wonderful time! My husband and I came here thinking it might not be as good because almost all resorts we’ve been on which is our fourth time in Cuba I thought it might not be as clean or low on supplies but honestly it surprised us all. The food was okay like anywhere else. I say okay because I’m picky with food but everyone else seems to like the food. And the hotel was very clean. No need to exchange to pesos cuz they only take usd and sometimes Canadian. We had a lot of water so water wasn’t an issue. I didn’t like that the room cleaners would just come in sometimes in the morning to clean if you are a late sleeper. Cuz they would just knock and walk themselves inside which was annoying. But overall very good resort. Lost of mosquitoes so take bug spray and flys

Sol Cayo Coco: A Lovely Vacation!

Very happy! Among several hotels considered for our first time to CC, I always came back to Sol. Great staff who are hospitable, work hard and go out of their way. Security staff found my lost sweatshirt. Grounds/building maintained well considering materials on hand and the beachfront is the best along that stretch of three hotels. Good food and service at the buffet. Beautiful clean room?

Hotel Mojito: Amazing Staff outweigh any shortages you may experience

My husband and I stayed at the Mojito Jan 24-31, 2024 and although we did experience 2 days without coffee, bread and air conditioning, we really had a great time. This was due to the staff. Yorbelys in the bar was HANDS DOWN the nicest, most friendly bartender we have ever had! He spoke amazing English ( as well as 3 other languages) and was a wealth of information and went over and above in meeting our needs. If you are a person who needs a fancy room, and scalding hot showers, then no, this wont be the place for you. But if you want peace and quiet and relaxation, and can deal with minor inconveniences / annoyances and the price is right, then you will be pleased. * There are some dogs there ( including a mom that just had pups) if you can, in your checked baggage bring some kibble or treats, I feel they are relying on scraps, and for me, this was hard to see...

Starfish Varadero: Good resort for the price

This hotel was a good bang for the buck. The grounds were well maintained and looked after. The staff were friendly, with or without a tip and I found that the staff in the buffet were exceptionally attentive especially with the crap they deal with from rude tourists. I found that nothing was lacking with regard to food, water and electricity. We had a superior room which was fine....nothing extravagant but had a nice bathroom, great mattresses, working tv and fridge and a balcony. The  [... read more]only downside is that the elevator was out of order most days. The only thing I would do different is book a bungalow next time ....closer to beach, own eating area and less steps. Overall, we were very pleased with our $800 vacation.

Hotel Mojito: Not so great

The hotel is very old and not maintained well and is very run down. There is a lack of food and drinks and options in general. I would recommend to go somewhere else if you can. Glad we experienced but will never go back

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Paradisus Rio De Oro- Nature Paradise

If you are looking for a lovely winter escape to a quiet nature paradise Paradisus Rio De Oro in the Holguin province fits the bill. This is the second time we have visited this resort and this time we returned with a group of friends. We were pleased with the quality of the amenities (fabulous beaches, snorkeling, pool, gym and hidden coves), the food, great a la carte restaurants, bars and our rooms- especially those corner suites. Nous avons été absolument charmé par le personnel, la propreté du complexe . Rien au niveau nourriture n'a manqué. Nous prévoyons déjà y retourner l'année prochaine. Même la plage était très accueillante !

Melia Trinidad Peninsula: Tripcentral strikes again

Our advisor O’Neil hit another home run when He recommended this resort. We have been to Cuba over 50 times and have never been to a finer Resort. Incredible Swim Out suite with Ocean View in the Adults Only section included an outdoor Whirlpool, Hot Tub. Level upgrade included à la carte dining for all meals plus snacks. Lobster was the evening special on day and we enjoyed excellent meals every visit. Gourmet Restaurant were just OK, similar to all previous resorts. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Best bang for your dollar

We arrived home last week from a week stay at Sanctuary at grand memories Holguin, this was our 9th trip to to Cuba and probably our most enjoyable. The Hotel although very large and required a lot of walking, was excellent. The grounds were beautiful and well cared for The rooms were cleaner than any we have stayed in and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We purchase the premium package which gav [... read more]e us an extra al la cart as well as our own dining area.We also had access to two butlers Carlos and Eddy who were very helpful in booking our dinners and looking after our needs. Although the bus ride is a bit long approximately 1hr 45 minutes it is worth it as you get to see some of the real Cuba. I would recommend that if you travel to Cuba, leave your loonies and toonies at home and go to the bank and get some American 1s an̈d 5s for Tips as there banks will not take coins or ripped bills. If you don't mind doing a little walking and you want a first class Hotel, I would certainly recommend the Sanctuary

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Amazing resort as always.

Over the years as I have been going to this resort what can I say. It keeps getting better all the time. I have met so many friends and to this day I still talk regularly to some of them, and it's been over ten years since we met. The staff is wonderful some have been there for 30 plus years. I met one elderly lady that has travelled to that resort 100 times. Now that says something about this resort. All as you have to go is one time and you will fall in love with Luna Mares. Take plenty of small items like toothpaste, bandages, deodorant, toothbrushes candy for the children, medicine, they need it all and you will see their happiness. Only thing now, I have to wait till Oct to visit my second home.

The One Gallery Hotel: It's an awesome resort.

This was our second visit and plan to return.The staff are wonderful people, beach is the best. The food was good and lots of it. Clean,comfortable and very well run.The staff became good friends we are looking forward to visiting them again next year.

The One Gallery Hotel: Beautiful Art resort

The One Gallery is a beautiful resort. The grounds are well maintained and everything is pretty close together. The art work is unique and interesting. The lobby layout is weird. The sitting areas are all separated by large pillars making watching night time entertainment difficult and not enough indoor seating. There is ample outdoor seating on both sides of the lobby. The pool is not very deep but is big. We didn't try the secondary pool. Pool chairs were hard to come by unless you went early  [... read more]and put out your towels. The staff everywhere were friendly. The rooms were cleaned well and we had a very nice attendant. Our toilet didn't work for 2 days and received a number of excuses from the customer service. After they "fixed" it whenever it stopped working again we had to hit the side of the tank to get it to flush. We also had very little water pressure all week. The buffet was good. The cooking stations are in a separate section. There was a lot of seating areas. The animation team at the pool were good. Very repetitive but came up with fun games each day. As it was cold and rainy many days I feel like they could have done more to keep people entertained. The cigar bar was a nice little hideaway and the sports bar was excellent. The snack bar had good sandwiches and a pizza station at lunch. The night entertainment was good. The beach is beautiful! The pool bar was our favorite location. The staff Yoel went out of his way to serve people, make conversation and make his guests feel special.

Starfish Guardalavaca: Very happy to have discovered Starfish Guardalavaca

The kind of place that works best for our group. Smaller, not too noisy with lots of opportunities for off-resort hiking and exploring. Food and rooms were great and staff were friendly. The cuban music and culture are alive and well in Guardalavaca. These are the reasons we keep coming back to Cuba.

Starfish Guardalavaca: Lovely resort

Loved this resort. It is smaller but everything we needed. Grounds are well kept, nice clean buffet. Very comfortable rooms with quiet a/c, Fridge, safe, roomy balcony with chairs. Linens were nice and white, comfortable mattresses and pillows. We had hot water, except for a few hours one day. We hiked away from the resort in a different direction each day and thoroughly enjoyed the countryside and people we met. The chairs at the beach were much better. The beach itself was excellent . I just can't say enough about the staff. They were always there to help. Food was good for Cuba.
