Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great resort!
Very nice resort. Food was good. Beach and pools were awesome. It is a very large resort so we had about 5 min walk to beach but we're close to lobby and restaurants. Pool area room would be best (central area)Remember to take bug spray!!!!!
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: room for improvement
The people were wonderful the rooms were aweful! From cracked counters and showers to 50 year old furniture to daily broken locks on doors. The room we got was nothing compared to what they display on there website so be very careful!
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Not bad but not a five star as advertised
The rooms were ok although you could hear every noise from rooms above and beside as well as the hallway. Very large cockroaches throughout the grounds. Not nearly enough washrooms on the resort and not well placed. Food was ok, Japanese restaurant was pretty good, Mexican was awful as was the French fusion. Buffet was probably the best choice. Beach was unusable due to the very bad undercurrent.
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Loved it again
It was our third visit at this resort and we had a wonderful time. We were pleasantly surprised by the improvements made to service and furniture since the last time we were there. Will go back again in future. The only negative was the Sunquest rep who didn't book our return transport properly but that is not the resort's responsibility, and when we asked them for help they quickly provided a solution and we made it back to the airport in time for our flight.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Immaculate setting...
Talk about luxury & the Royalton should rest in the upper echelons. Pristine ocean views especially at sunrise, over-indulging restaurants, tasteful accommodations and an attention to detail type staff. Although only ten months old, and still on the last bits of its' teething process, the Royalton delivers with several pools to wet the appetite if the ocean if just a view for you wherein that case, there are beautifully situated bars, hammocks and loungers. Not all is perfection as mentioned wit [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Fun time in Cabos!
Hotel was big and maintained. There was not a day when you didn't see an employee working. The resort was clean. The room was clean, although there were ants in the bathroom by the sink, which didn't really bother us. The fridge was stocked, and you were able to request for more drinks. My only complaint about the room was that the housekeeper didn't do towel arts. We didn't ask, but it should be done automatically. The entertainment by the pool was great. The infinity and quiet pool were nice a [... read more]
El Dorado Seaside Palms: We had a great trip at the El Dorado!
This was a great resort on many levels. Lots of shade so that our tender skin could get out of the sun and not turn cherry red. We usually took a bed with good shade that looked out on the ocean but was close enough to the main pool to here what was going one. The best bar tender is at the small bar on the very end of the lazy river. He is tucked away over there but, he makes the best drinks in the hotel. If you are a big beach person, probably not the resort for you but my husband made it out [... read more]
Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing resort, very clean
Very nice location, relaxing and quiet. Good food and choices of restaurants. Buildings 3 and 4 are nice and quiet and looking directly onto the ocean. The Jacuzzi is a nice touch on the balcony. Staff very helpful and friendly. There are no shows in the evening, just some bands and the occasional dancers in the lobby bar, missed having the shows at night.
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort. Everyone was so great!
Food was awesome, rooms were very clean and service was A+. Maids were very friendly and if we asked for a specific thing with no time we received it. A la carte restaurants were very good and service was awesome. Beaches were clean despite the seedweed. Will definitely go back.
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful Resort
The grounds are absolutely stunning. Our room was big & clean. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The pools are amazing & it never felt crowded. The entertainment in the evening was awesome. The food was good but our favorite restaurant was the Japanese. We would definitely go back to this resort.
Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Fantastic
fantastic - they did not miss a thing - everyone was so helpful - I had forgotten my charger for my tablet and desk said no problem and hooked it into their computer. computer, .They had a problem with algae but they worked almost day and night to get off the beach. Food was great.
Excellence Playa Mujeres: Absolutely Amazing Vacation!
My husband and I enjoyed every single minute of our week (Sept 26-Oct 3, 2015). Everything was wonderful - the room was super clean and very comfortable, it was always easy to find great food and drink, the beach was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were the friendliest/happiest we've ever experienced! We spent most of our time at the Excellence Club beach and the Gerardo, Alberto and Erik (concierges) and Carlos (waiter) were amazing and truly made it a vacation for us ...not only did they kno [... read more]

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Small friendly resort
Great resort, no kids, great food and drinks, staff are amazing. We had ground floor pool view room, could just walk right out to pool and bar. Would definatley return. Did I mention how great the staff are.
Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Levelled up to the Maya
We have always stayed at and enjoyed the Iberostar Paraiso Beach and finally got the chance to book a stay at the Maya. The Maya has a similar layout but everything is better. The rooms and pool are bigger, the a la cartes, buffets and bar areas have A/C. The food selection offers more choice and much is cooked fresh for you. The beach area is large and very clean although I would like to see the beach loungers replaced. The staff as always at the Iberostar are courteous, helpful and provide gre [... read more]
Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Fantastic Resort - Privilege Package Recommended
The Valentin Imperial Maya is an ideal resort if you want a relatively quiet vacation with access to both a great beach and great pools. The value for money is wonderful, and the privilege package is definitely worth the price.
Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Not quite a 4Star
Large resort, good diversity for those who want to relax, be involved in the activities and to mingle. Barely a 4*. Do not rely on their cart/shuttle system; if you can't walk well, this is not a place for you. Way too much time between shuttles and that is if you can get on it (full).
Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Sirenity at the Grand Sirenis...
My husband and I travelled to the Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach Resort in the beginning of September and our overall rating would be a 4/5 stars. We really enjoyed ourselves immensely! We loved the beach – it has a natural coral reef right out front and a protected bay which was perfect for snorkeling. We saw lots of different fish and turtles in the bay. The resort itself we loved the layout of. It is quite large, but we loved walking around it and exploring. It was nice after big dinners to have [... read more]
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing vacations
Sep. 12 -19, 2015. Third time to the same hotel in 2 years. Best value for the money. Specially thanks to Kristina and Rodolfo that made my kids vacation so special. The food is very good. Japanese restaurant is the best. Everything is clean. The ocean this time was full of seaweed though. Feeding the fishes in the ocean something not to be missed for the kids. Thank you. Keep doing the great job.
Moon Palace Cancun: Amazing!
Service was a hit or miss. But everything else was perfect! Food was amazing at all restaurants. Morning coffee was much needed! Rooms were gorgeous. Too much to do with too little time! Definitely need to revisit.
