Catalonia Montego Bay: Awesome trip

The holiday inn sunspree was a very nice hotel. Rooms were a little dated but clean. The pool was nice overlooking the ocean. An awesome man made island that you could walk out to from the beach. Overall a very nice resort.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Fantastic Staff!

The hotel grounds are compact which is fantastic. The bar, restaurant, pool, beach and activities are all within the same vicinity. The entertainment staff were amazing as were the land and water sport staff. The restaurant and bar staff were well-mannered, very polite and genuinely nice people.

It was not what we were expecting at all! I went with my husband and my 2 kids,6yrs and 7yrs old. It was an Okay hotel it's NOT modern. First, there were no towels in our room when we arrived to the hotel. We had to keep asking the front desk to provide us with more. Second, there was no good entertainment as we were use to alot more variety like in Dominican Repulic Bahia Principe Fantasia was the BEST for families as it cost almost the same. I can say though, the food in the Japanese, Buff [... read more]et and Italian was good, especially the Jerk chicken. The water park and the beach was the best part but other than that my family and I will NOT be returning.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Not so great stay

Food was great. Restaurant and bar staff were awesome. The cleaning people however took liberties and helped themselves to my daughters makeup, her hair straightener (which later mysteriously showed up..when we previously looked EVERYWHERE) I lost money out of my purse. My friend Christina also lost money. One of our students lost underwear. And another person in our group also lost money. I’ll go back to Jamaica but not that resort.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Very Good Resort

We had a fantastic vacation at the Holiday Inn, Montego Bay. Very clean, friendly staff. The food was good, lots of choices...you can never get hungry while at this resort. My only down side is that the AC was very noisy during the night, took me a while to fall asleep. Because of the noisy AC I will only give it 4 stars.

Jewel Paradise Cove: What a "Jewel"

From the moment we arrived at the hotel until our departure we felt the customer service experience was top notch. The food was very good, not a huge selection but a tasty selection. Will do Jamaica again!!

Sandals Dunn's River: Fantastic Resort

We could not be happier with our stay. We read the mixed reviews and we’re a little bit skeptical going in. This resort exceeded our expectations. The service was top notch, food/drinks were great, and property was meticulously maintained. We would strongly recommend this resort to anyone, and will 100% return.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Best Trip Thus Far!!!!

I had a great time in all areas of the resort my only complaint would be is I thought I would get a better taste of jamaican dishes I really wanted to taste curry goat oxtail fish more seafood etc. Other then the food the hospitality was out of this world the best people I have ever met extremely caring funny and generous if I could have remembered everyone I would mention them all but in a nutshell they ALL do their jobs great 100% great!!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Nice tropical getaway

The resort is split in two areas connected between family and adult only, beaches are not spectacular but nice, food was good, be careful around the pool the stone is slippery and many people had accidents slipping and so bring health insurance, one lady broke her arm and they charged $14K to her credit card. Hoped to do snorkelling but this is not the place for that. Rooms were nice.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Amazing resort

The Holiday Inn Resort in Montego Bay is an amazing place to go for a vacation whether with family or friends. The food is excellent. Grounds are well maintained and so is the pool. They have a private island you can actually walk to. Rooms are clean. The dining room staff are the best friendly and helpful. On this trip we were 18 guests and 3 needed assistance and dining room staff were there to help bring their plates from the buffet. My husband and I were there to renew our 30th wedding anniversary and it could not have been better. Our thanks to Nicole Deforest at Trip Central for helping us with booking and all extras we requested. Very helpful and patient agent.

Catalonia Montego Bay: You get what you pay for

I did not enjoy my stay, the bathroom was very tiny, the hotel smells and it was very old. We had to buy water and there was no fridge. The food was very limited, also the a/c was very loud. The hotel is located too close to the main road, the traffic was really loud, I don't think that your meals should be so close to the swimming pool it should be in a different area

Riu Reggae: Amazing Resort!!!!!!!!!!!

The resort was amazing! Went and got what we expected!!!! Everyone was so nice and food was amazing! Will go again soon! I also got engaged here so will never forget this resort!!! Will recommend to everyone!

Riu Negril: Family friendly

It was beautiful, the dancers were amazing and the entertainment was plentiful. The food was amazing and had lots of choice for allergy suffers like my son. The only issue i had was with the day staff not cleaning the room, i had three kids and a few clothes on the floor. She took the tips and tried to skip my room like she had done the days before even though we needed toiletries and bedding to be replaced. She was rude to my kids and myself and huffed and puffed while she added new sheets whic [... read more]h smelled bad and didn't replace the cover. My baby was ill and needed a nap so we covered the whole bed with towels to mask it. Other than her (other maids/staff were very kind) it was amazing and the excursions and entertainment were great ( bit pricey). i also reccomend the massages : ) it was gorgeous and really felt like paradise.

Excellence Oyster Bay: 1st class service

We have been to several resorts, nothing like Excellence Oyster Bay. Staff are so pleasant, they never seem to have a bad day. Always looking to make your stay better. The chef at the buffet came out every morning to say thank you and to make sure our stay was all we ever wanted.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Great Family Vacation

Jewel Runaway Bay was a fantastic getaway. Our room was fantastic (premier), clean and located in the topaz building right beside the infinity pool and water park, which was great as that's where the kids stayed! Food choice was great! Staff are friendly and helpful. Snorkeling was amazing, beach was clean and never overly crowded (end of may). The availability of the free water sports was good. The pools were clean and loungers were always available. (go early for shade) WIFI is not reliable  [... read more]but you can find access in the main lobby or by the kids clubs. My only complaint was the inconsistency in the kids activities and night time entertainment. I think this was mostly given to the time of year we visited, as things would be canceled with no communication given or entertainment would be different from what was listed on the daily itinerary.

Riu Reggae: Very good

Staff were awesome from Reception to waiting staff. Down point room was not cleaned twice. Had to call to be done. Did not like beach as feet sink into sand too deep for me to enjoy the ocean. Could have been more variety in the choice of food.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great times!!

This was my 4th time at this resort and had a great time. The food is amazing, the beach is unfortunately not good at all. The pools were well maintained. I would recommend cleaning the beach, removing the seaweed so we can actually swim in the ocean.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Excellent Resort - Quiet a bit of young people and lively

Overall I think this is an excellent resort.... I'm 35. The main differences that I could see from the Luxury Bahia compared to the Grand Bahia, is you get more premium alcohol included (Black Label, Red Label, Jack Daniels, Overproof Rum, CC, Baileys), whereas there is extra charges on Bahia. Also, the food options at the Luxury (at least from ala cart restaurant standpoint) is superior to the Grand Bahia. Grand Bahia beats it on beach and overall design. Wifi included on Luxury side, but extr [... read more]a on the Bahia side. I believe entertainment is equal. The onsite club is on the Grand Bahia side, and is open daily (I believe) from 11pm to 2am. Free, quick, golf cart shuttles are provided from the Luxury to the Grand in about 90 second ride...(wait time might be 5 minutes). So the Club, Kareokee bar is shared, but that was fine. Music was good and lively, bartenders were fast. On the Luxury Side: Rooms: Were kept in great shape, and have 2 services (morning turndown) and evening turndown service if you wanted. The room could be scented at your request (no charge) .. for example coconut, lavender etc. 2 200ml bottles of alcohol provided, and the mini bar charged daily. Lots of hot water and towels provided. Bed was really comfortable. No room complaints. Building 24 I would say is the best, if you want short walks to food, amenities, entertainment, and both beach options. It is louder in the building, but if you are not in your rooms throughout the day it should be fine. Entertainment: Is mostly outside, which we preferred. Is a young crowd that comes out to them. Bar is set up right beside the entertainment for convenience. Something is going on everyday at night. Ending at 11pm. Then if you want more go to the club 11-2am. Food: Top notch, I think there was 4 or 5 restaurant to choose from at night plus the Luxury buffet. Breakfast had 2 buffet options. Lots of food. Fresh juices available. 15% of your options were local Jamaica food type. Fruit, etc, etc. If you complain about the food on the luxury side, you will complain about anything in life. Real Jerk Chicken is available at Los Olas from Fitizroy at lunch ... top notch. Pool: Sufficient pool sizes. The main pool is located next to the swim up bar, and the average age in this pool is about 30, no one is swimming, straight up drinking and bobbing up and down. There is a live DJ playing music with games. Another pool is where 40+ aged people swim and chill, and they seemed to like that. Beach: If Beach is your top thing, then this resort is a no go. The sand area is about 30 feet deep (small) and the beach is very rocky (swim shoes is basically required) to even get into the water. The water depth goes to about 2.5 feet that's it. Man made beach, so large rocks are in the ocean about 100 feet in. Lots of fish by the rocks, small crabs on the rocks. Servers will come to your umbrella to take your orders. If you came to seriously swim in the ocean or to feel the waves, choose another resort. Service: Top notch in the restaurants around food. Bartenders were fast, and drinks were strong, but cups were small [bring bigger, they will fill up]. English well spoken. Grounds were kept extremely clean. Staffing numbers were prolly scaled 1:1 to general public [great]. Lobby staff (including Donna) was kind and accommodating of a room change to be closer to the action on the 2nd night. (as building 26 was very far (but quiet if that's your preference). They will not push for tips at all, but are appreciative. Other: Location is about 75mins from airport, and you will likely be the final hotel stop (3rd or 4th), so plan on arriving 100mins after exiting the airport. Red Strip is the only beer available. 4.5/5 .... only because the beach was so-so

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Beautiful property

Great stay, the staff was really nice and helpful, what I didn't like was this smell of swer in my room 3420 , the smell was a turn off , I did address it with one of the staff and the smell when away that day, but two later the smell return , it was time for me to leave so I didn't request to be move , outside of that everything was very good

Sandals Dunn's River: Great smaller scale resort!

Overall great experience, everything was well maintained and the food was delicious although sometimes a bit repetitive. As a couple we really enjoyed the "smaller scale adults only" type compared to huge complexes. The ride from the airport is about 2 hours, which for us allowed us to sleep (at 9pm) on the way there and get a private small tour of local areas with our ride on the way back to the airport.
