Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Very Nice Resort

We were a bit worried before we left only because we heard from others that one pool was closed along with the main buffet and theater. Luckily for us everything opened by the time we arrived! Our room was perfect,clean,nice ocean view,fresh smell. Our balcony was large but only 2 small chairs and a table.It was large enough for lay out beds but not available even when requested. I also ema [... read more]iled the resort before we left and requested a pool view along with the ocean view that we paid more for, we did get our pool view but was of the kids pool and not what i was thinking but wasn't a deal breaker either way. My sister was also travelling with us and had to switch rooms upon arrival because her room had a musty smell, issue was taken care of quickly. The food was very good. We ate at two of the a la cartes and the buffet with no complaints. The coffee,cappuccino and ice coffee with rum cream at the lobby bar were all delicious and a must try! I gained a few pounds on this vacation. The staff was amazing! Entertainment staff, Macaroni, Lettuce, Pineapple, sparkles, Chocolate were all amazing! the bartenders and wait personnel are great and work very hard to make sure your taken care of. The cleaning staff are great, Everything was as it should be, very clean and well kept. The only downfall of this resort for me was that I like to be able to walk off the resort and wander around town, not much to do or see within walking distance. Overall our vacation was great and would recommend to friends. Would also return for a relaxing vacation.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Fantastic resort!

Stunning resort with exceptional service. Great food, great entertainment and a wide variety of activities. All the restaurants we tried were terrific and offered great choices. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable. The staff are kind and accommodating.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Friends relaxing

This was my 14th time to cuba. This was best hotel i have stayed at Grounds great. Room great pool. Ocean. Entertainment best i have seen. In Cuba. Different every day. Food well can always find something to eat it is Cuba and they do the best with what they have. Would recommend this resort. Had great time Staff fantastic. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Absolutely Amazing Place!

Staff were so friendly and hospitable, answered any questions or concerns we had. All the restaurants had amazing food and the staff were there for your every need. The grounds were immaculate and clean everywhere we went. The activity team at the pools and the Theater employees were so entertaining and made the pool time so much fun. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Awful experience!

This is the third time at this resort and this time we went with our friends. Unfortunately it was a really bad experience: 1. The main buffet was closed for the last 5 months. This would not have been a problem if the quality of food would have been the same( days when they went off of bred, ketchup, tonic water,etc. Flies allover the place-all of us went home with food poisoning ) 2. No entrainment-at least 5,6 people hired for this but nothing happened- the kids show ended up in the lobby i [... read more]nstead of the theatre 3. No lights on the resort-we ended up using our cell phones to be able to see where to walk 4. A la carte:Mediterranean- we got there and they gave is the menu but also told us that half of the stuff on the list was not available ( shrimps, smoked salmon, etc) 5. On the 4th day of our stay it was a huge line-up for the carts...we ended up walking on the other side of the resort, which is not bad, but considering we had the kids with us and no lights in the resort... not a good experience It is too bad i cannot post the picture for you to see how a really bad food poisoning can look like😞 6. Washrooms: only one little bottle of shampoo, etc for the 3 of us for the entire stay. They are really trying to save money from everything. We are really upset with tripcentral also because of the false advertising-5 star resort when it’s not even up to 2 stars... and they were made aware of the changes at the resort-as per the air transat rep in Cuba

We were very pleased with the resort, staff, food and entertainment, this was one of our favourite trips, everything from booking, flight and stay went perfect we couldn’t be happier except for the fact of having to come home

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Okay vacation

The main buffet was under renovations so we had to be shuttled to another location and trolleys were always late and food wasn’t great. No juice at the resort, only sprite and coke offered to kids at breakfast. Once the main buffet opened on our last day, was much better. Beach was beautiful, pool was fun, resort needs work.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Awesome vacation

It is a fantastic resort, the room was very clean and nice , the grounds were very beautiful, the pools were awesome-big and clean , the beach was very nice as well- even though the hotel was 93 % full they were plenty of empty chairs . The restaurants were also very nice - we when to 6 of them- Italian, Brazilian (very good) , Japanese ... !!!! The entertainment team was fantastic! It was Super vacation!

Great beaches, staff always helpful and a smile. pity the buffet was closed for Reno's but thats the way life goes. we will be back next year. Rooms could do with a fresh coat of paint. Grounds are well kept.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Best vacation by far

Wow. To start, there are so many misconceptions regarding Mexico and travelling as a tourist. We stayed at the Iberostar ParaiÅ›o Del Mar in the Riviera Maya for one week October 28th to the 4th 2019 We’ve been travelling to the tropics since the early 2000’s and by far this resort and country have far exceeded our expectations. With its grand size we were thankful for the shuttle service and 24hr service available. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, friendly and genuine. Front desk staff is incredible - Eduardo is a huge asset to their team and has only been with this hotel for a short time. Nurture his growth in this industry. He has a gift. (Shout out to Fatima who has worked at this resort for 18yrs) - the animation team was engaging and inclusive and brought everyone together. There are so many lounge chairs, sun and shade spots, lots of covered beds. The food was the best we’ve ever had, lots of options and quality was great. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great honeymoon!

Room was beyond expectations. Very large with 2 bathrooms, l/r, d/r, kitchenette, huge bedrooom and great outdoor space. Loved the hot tub on terrace. Very private. Beach was gorgeous. Service and people were exceptional!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Wonderful

Great hotel, staff was good. Room was good, food excellent. Well worth the money. It is a very large resort but they have a tram that comes approximately every 10 mins. Shopping center, casino No complaints at all. As a hint use the iberostar app to book al a carts or any communication with the hotel.

Hotel Mojito: Iberostar Mojito

Everything about this resort is wonderful. The beach, the gardens, the pools, the food and most of all, the lovely Cubans who are so kind and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean thanks to the hardworking chambermaids. It was an amazing trip!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Everything you and you family could possibly want or need in a vacation

This place was amazing if you don’t mind the larger resorts. Food was good, entertainment was excellent, grounds were kept very clean. Accommodations were good. The only thing negative that I seen was the hotel REALLY tried hard to promote their services. It becomes a bother at times.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Staff Make A Vacation Pure Enjoyment

Iberostar Daquari – Cayo Coco, Cuba We arrived close to 10:00 p.m. and were greeted by the friendliest desk staff I have ever encountered. One clerk ran over to see if they could leave the buffet open later for us and said we could leave our bags and check in after dinner. Staff were very kind from the start, we went on to find that all the staff in every section of the hotel were just as friendly and helpful. Even though the resort was running at 30% or less capacity, everything was available to guests. High quality entertainment was brought in each evening in the lobby. We did not attend the performances in the theatre, but they looked like fun. The room was average and a little on the small side with some typical wear and tear you find in tropical ocean side resorts. The big plus was that there was an ocean view from the garden level where our room was. The food and liquor was not as good as a higher star resort but beautifully laid out and served by delightful staff. The beach was absolute perfection and the pools were very well kept. The beachside restaurant and snack bar were very good and what they lacked in selection they made up in friendly service. Overall I would recommend this resort for any type of visitor to Cuba, older folks, families, singles and couples. A relaxing or interactive vacation depending on what you are looking for. Note to management that name tags would be a good addition to personalize the staff and help some of us remember names.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Loved it

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this property. The property is meticulously kept. Staff are gracious and attentive. The food was fantastic and the beach and pool were both great. Only one sore spot was the noise from the pool area with music which is very loud on the beach and pool area and while some go to the resort for that purpose there were many who did not sign up for it. Extremely talented artist playing everything from Blues to Flamenco. Real gems which should be featured. As well the location was wonderful where you are surrounded by monkeys, Iguanas, turtles ,parrots ,peacocks and the list goes on. This was a great resort. We will return!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing Resort

This was our second year at this resort. We came back because of the service. The wait staff are efficient and friendly. Our favorite waiter for breakfast and lunch was Ishmel. He went out of his way to please us. The day time activities are good. Water exercise and the dance lessons were two of my favorites. I missed the cookies and cheesecake that were available in the lobby bar last year. The coffee house dose not have as nice pastries. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Good Resort

The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach is the lower end of three Iberostar all-inclusives on the same stretch of beach. The other 2 higher end places must be great because the Beach is a really good place. The food and service were very good with a couple of minor service hiccups. The room was nice and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. But over all, this is a good place to stay.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Not a good experience!

I sent my wife and 5-year old away to spend some special time together. Aside from the beautiful beach, every day she would call home, tell me how much she loves to spend time with our son, then she would make a list of everything terrible at the resort: 1. No toilet paper for 3 days (thank goodness she brought baby wipes) 2. Food was terrible (even by Cuba standards) 3. One day a maintenance person walked into her room while she was inside. Nobody was called or asked to drop by. She pre [... read more]viously thought some of her belongings were ruffled through 4. Wi-fi at the resort was pretty limited (and expensive) Overall we have collectively decided that we will no longer travel to Cuba. It unfortunate, but it was truly that bad.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing resort and even better staff and service!

We had a great stay at the Iberostar Grand in Quintana Roo. The food was excellent, beach was right there! And the entire place was clean and beautiful. It would have been a perfect vacation if we weren’t robbed...by the police! Stay away from rental cars and driving on your own. We rented a Jeep and one night we were stopped for a supposed road violation, even though I was just following traffic. I was stopped and no ticket was given. Instead the local police decided to try and extort $250 US [... read more]D from me. I was held in a police cruiser for 30 mins at the side of the highway at midnight with my wife panicking in our pulled over rental car as they tried to convince me to pay them the $250 right then and there in cash. We had just over $100 on us and they were then trying to get us to an ATM. They finally took what we had and then let us go. Yes. The police. The police in Quintana Roo México. Never ever going back to that country ever again. If you can’t trust the police who can you trust? They are criminals. Stay away. Too bad. The hotels need to get together and fix this problem. The police will drive them to bankruptcy eventually. Small mindedness is killing Mexico. Awful.
