Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Amazing resort

Would definitely go back here. Everything is beautiful the grounds are kept immaculate the food is wonderful. We tried all the restaurants and was not disappointed. My grandson certainly enjoyed all the pools. I love the beach if we had an issue it was people reserving the chairs at 6 o’clock in the morning and never putting their butts in them until late afternoon. Our butler was really super Louis. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great time!

We really enjoyed staying here with our 1.5 year old. It was our first family trip, and the resort didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed to pool area, which always had events going on such as water Zumba and games. The weather was amazing and we enjoyed how close everything was to our room. The room was great for us, spacious and comfortable. The restaurant offerings had a lot of variety. Thank you for welcoming us! Will hopefully be back.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Magnifico

Not a thing to complain about. We were upgraded as soon as we got in. The food was terrific everywhere! The service was excellent. The grounds are spotless and the beach was a Punta Cana beach. The weather was 89 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny every day... Pretty boring?

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Amazing getaway

This was by far one of the best resorts we've traveled to thus far. Is it an older resort, yes. But once you see by pass the chip in the pool you will be amazed with what the remaining of the resort has to offer. We highly recommend splurging and paying a little bit more to get the swim out! You have your own little oasis on your patio leading to the swim out! The a la carte food, was good. However, the buffet food was just ok. We never starved.

Zel Punta Cana - All Suites: Good resort for relaxing

We had the swim up master suits which was great was able to walk right into the pool from the room. Lots of green ares was great to relax. Bit far from the beach, but frequent shuttles were available. Ideal for matured people. Food was accessible, but being a Canadian used to good food, it wasn't a great experience. We had access to other hotel's resturants own by the hotel, that was a great option.

From the moment we arrived to the moment that we left , we were thoroughly impressed!! Beautiful room, friendly staff, great food and a beautiful beach! We are looking forward to returning some day!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Key Glitches

Beautiful beach, awesome pool, great buffet. *Towels and mini bar not always restocked.* Beautiful property, quite large necessary to take the trolley to and from lobby OFTEN. Some Staff awesome. *Keys rarely worked, 5 times my key card did not work so had to return to lobby each time to get reset. Major pain and frustration. As waiting for trolley and return quite long!* *Airport a nightmare.*

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort

The resort was beautiful, very clean and well maintained. The a la carte restaurants were fantastic. The food overall was very good in the Buffett. The beach was nice. Lots of chairs. The pool area was large and never seemed crowded.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing vacation

The hotel was beautiful. We had a great time! We noticed that the floor around the pool was very slippery and dangerous at some point. We also notice there are no railings going up or down the stairs to the rooms. The only downfall was finding out that our luggage cost extra. Our agent didn’t give us a heads up which we would have packed accordingly. We would have appreciated him pointing that out.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Restaurant Reservation System ruined our vacation

Everything is perfect about this resort but something as basic as reserving dinners ruined our vacation. Royalton doesn't have a reservation system for free. Only Diamond Club members do and this is not advertised. They advertise it as "reservation-free" system and it is first come-first-serve. What happens is that everyone starts lining up at the restaurant at 5:45pm. When the restaurant opens at 6pm, all diamond club reservations go first. Then, they start getting people in from the line until [... read more] the restaurant is filled. Once filled, they start a waiting list and give out beepers. So when you are making the line, you don't know how much diamond club reservations there is, how much is the capacity of the restaurant and so you don't know if you will make it in the first or second seating (typically 1.5 hours later). You don't know when you will eat. Being a kids' friendly resort, you can imagine that you won't be able to manage how angry your kids (and you) should be when you stand in that line. This resort is not cheap and something as basic as reserving restaurants should be done. I was able to checkin online and reserve my room online so why I cannot reserve my dinners online before I even go. One other thing regarding this is that the people in the waiting line get frustrated and agree and start throwing words at the restaurants' managers like "this is ridiculous", etc. This is very stressful for those employees who are managing angry guests. So the lack of a reservation system also affects the employees and not just the guests. Given how angry I am at the hours I had to stand inline to eat dinner, I am putting the lowest grade on this resort.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Perfect beach

Even if the resort was full, it never seemed that there were too much people. There was always a long chair available or room in the pool or on the beach. he beach is really beautiful and there were a lot of sea turtles in the algae. The animation team is funny and does a great job at keeping people busy. The buffet is always detailed and provides a lot of different food. La Brisa and Kyoto were our favorite themed restaurants.

Vik Hotel Cayena Beach: All our hopes and expectations were met and exceeded in Cayena Beach VIK hotel

Because we have mobility issues my sister and I needed a small hotel with everything in walking distance. All our needs were met and the service was exceptional, thanks to Barbara Z. and all the staff. We enjoyed the well kept grounds, El Cano restaurant was cozy and intimate. We loved the ocean breeze and the view of the ocean at breakfast and lunch. The food was good but we did miss genuine dairy products like butter and milk and cream for coffee, they used margarine and condensed milk. Our  [... read more]room was very spacious, attended to everyday, clean and well supplied with towels, toiletries, water, soft drinks and beer. We spent our day relaxing in the shaded pool side and swimming in the pool which was never really crowded. Our holiday was for rest and relaxation so that we did not seek any excitement or entertainment. Occasionally we heard blasts of music from the neighbouring resort but our room was well insulated and quiet and the noise was over by 11:00 pm. We had hoped to be able to swim in the ocean but unfortunately the waves were too strong, either a red or yellow flag situation on the beach. We did enjoy walking along the beach in both directions. The beach in front of Cayena was badly damaged and repairs were under way. Anyone who loves to battle the waves would have a great time but it is not safe for small children. We were a little disappointed in what was available at the snack bar. We would have liked to snack on healthy food such as fresh fruit. However, fresh fruit and other snack food was available at the buffet to be taken out for later. The weather was lovely, neither excessively hot nor humid. It rained very lightly on a couple of days but not for very long.

Feb 21- March 6, 2024 I will start by saying that this is not a 5 Star resort. ROOMS - no plugs for IPhone etc. you had to unplug hair dryer, coffee maker or lamp in order to charge phone, IPad etc. The room was dated. You could actually see light coming in around the door frame. Not sealed properly. Sink had no stopper. Bath tub and sink hardware were falling apart. Also fridge was not cold and not replenished daily. Cleaning staff were hit and miss with towel and face cloth distribution.  [... read more] BEACH - nice beach but not enough shade or chairs. You had to get up at 6 am to secure a shady spot. DINING - food was good and a la cartes were quite nice. Only real problem with dining was that you could not always get the dinner reservation at the time that you wanted. DRINKS - drinks were not as good as the other 5 Stars that we have been to. Alcohol was bar grade and often out of stock. No gin, no Rose wine etc. LOBBY BAR - Not enough staff. Coffee machines often not working. SPORTS BAR- The staff was unable to get NHL games which I will never understand in this hi tech universe. So many Canadians at the resort but no hockey!! The Sports Bar itself was great and the staff were excellent. NOISY - lots of couples arguing, yelling and slamming doors late at night. No sign of security to stop them. This is not a 5 Star!!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Beautiful Resort But There Are Some Issues

The grounds of this resort are absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly. There are activities to do or you can just relax by the pool or at the beach. The issues we encountered were all about our room. Our group consisted of 6 ladies and we requested rooms with 2 beds. We were told that only 1 of approximately 15 buildings had rooms with 2 beds. We had to switch rooms on our second day. Throughout our vacation, we had problems with getting towels and snacks replenished. Sometimes this happened multiple times a day. This was extremely frustrating and inconvenient and left us feeling disappointed about our overall experience on our long anticipated vacation.

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana: An excellent resort for a family!!!

This place is a spectacular resort and it is the perfect place to go with a family. We had 3, two 8 year olds and four adults and everyone had a great time! ALL the staff were just so kind, genuine and lovely. (and I mean literally ALL staff!!) Excellent location with multiple pools are perfect to take the kids each day without them getting bored of same pools. The entire resort is prestigious and absolutely well kept at all time. A huge extra shout out to Moises who works at the water slide pool. He is absolutely THE BEST person you will ever meet and both my family and our friends family are thankful to meet him. The taco truck was an extra treat for us and I still miss my fish tacos!!! Restaurants were pretty nice and the food was good. My family are huge foodies and we love our food. Some of the foods weren't prestige- top notch, Michelin star quality/taste but they were good enough to enjoy and have a good time. Everyone at this resort works very hard. They treat every guest as if they are their own family members. We weren't a preferred guests, but we didn't notice anything different or didn't feel like we were lacking something- so to be honest, don't go spending extra money for "preferred" package. One negative experience would be doing the dune buggy excursion, and it was really a waste of money. The dune buggy was not safe (the break didn't work lol) and the "cave" is just a little area where it's all man-made. That was the only thing we didn't really enjoy to be honest. Every night, there was an event which was quite entertaining and it's just fun walking around enjoying the scene. The kids enjoyed it too and bonus part is every night before the main show, they always had show for kids which was perfect! The resort does not have any life jackets, swimming toys/equipment so make sure to bring floaties, balls, goggles etc for your kids. Also bring laundry clips to clip your towels to the chairs! Overall, this resort was an excellent place for our family to stay! I give them 9/10 overall and I would definitely stay here again!!!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

Rooms were great. Enjoyed our private patio. Food was amazing. Proximity to the beach was very close. Everything was great! I would definitely return. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Epic Girls trip

This was my third trip to this resort. Start to finish, an amazing trip. Rooms were perfect. Meals were great. Modesto, our butler was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. I loved seeing staff from years past. Roberto at the lobby bar was hilarious and makes the best margarita. Thank you again Majestic for another perfect trip.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great family resort

We had a great time at Royalton Splash - family of 4 (two adults and two children ages 9 and 12). Buffet food was totally fine, a La carte restaurants were excellent especially Hunter and Grazi. Perfect beach, great pools and water slides were an amazing bonus. Recommend paying the extra for diamond club if you can afford it.

Occidental Punta Cana: Good location

Food was lacking in quality and variety. Pasta was not cooked sufficiently. Had to request burgers cooked more to remove pink. Service for water , pop , coffee always very slow and sometimes completely forgotten Resort was well maintained and clean. Lots of loungers both at beach and pools.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Meliá Welness Punta Cana

We throughly enjoyed the Meliá Punta Cana. The staff were super friendly and they went over and above to please us. Beautiful location, stunning beach, awesome food and fun pool activities. We enjoyed our daily water exercise classes of Zumba and Water Aerobics. Thank you to Javier and LeeAnne for their fun classes. Other than the horrible departure home, at the airport, and our leaky fridge, we totally enjoyed our stay.
