Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Almost 5 star
This resort is a few steps away from being a 5 star. We (gf and I) upgraded to the Adults only select club. I highly suggest this. My whole review is based on the fact that I upgraded to the Select Club Adults only section. If you stay select club adult only, you are in a different section in the back with a private pool just for adults, along with a nice swim up bar. The rooms are also renovated and are spacious, well above average. The walk to the beach is a good 10 minutes. We enjoyed this wa [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Just as fun the second time around
I have never gone back to the same resort before but 2nd time here. 3rd time for my daughters. Great resort. Love walking into Los Cobos and walking around the town. Went on a glass-bottom boat tour that was worth ever penny! The one downside of this resort is - it is very dangerous to swim in the ocean. Pool swimming only I would recommend.
Fontan Ixtapa: Loved it!
We travel extensively throughout the Caribbean and ixtapa has become one of our new favourite places in the world. The hotel lived up to its 3 star rating. We found staff went above and beyond for us, the rooms are basic but more than adequate and we thought the food was great. Over Easter week was insanely busy though and when we return it will not be over Easter. Very happy with both the area and the hotel.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: royalton cancun
Resort was amazing. Staff were available and couldn't have taken better care of us. Food was very good. Can't say enough about our trip everything was incredible. Tour operators were funny and informative
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing 1st Resort Experience!
Amazing hotel grounds, great food variety, nice beach that went on for a long time, great service from the hotel staff and clean room. We also really enjoyed playing paddel ball and the on-site mall and shops. Would definitely return!
Barcelo Maya Caribe: BARCELO MAYA CARIBE- INCREDIBLE VACATION!!!
We stayed at the Barcelo Caribe for the first time. It was nothing short of amazing. We are beach people, so everyday we would head out to the beach, it didn't matter what time of day, there were always chairs and shaded areas. The resort is extremely kid friendly, we are an older couple and like our quiet times, not a problem there, we were amazed at the way they cater to the kids. Snorkeling amazing right at the beach, saw turtles, stingrays, loads of fish big and small. Food at Buffet I would [... read more]
Selection Riviera Cancun: Almost all we'd hoped for
May14-21 at Sensatori Azul, positively a great experience...shame about the beach. Arrived early and fortunate to receive an upgrade to a room that was ready. such a treat to be welcomed and shuttled in a luxury van rather than wait for numerous others to get organized before we were on our way. Food Aplus, gourmet inclusive is truly what we rec'd. Excellent drinks (Crown Royal and Dos Equus on tap). Fantastic room with no issues at all. Top notch staff doing there absolute best to make you feel [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort, but limited at night
This resort had some great food and was very clean. The beach was pristine. However the pools and beach are all closed after dark and there was not much to do in the evening. I would highly suggest more available at night.
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Second stay in two years and we will go back!
We once again took our four kids, staff are very hard working and try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, extremely clean resort. Great beach but not swimmable waves and under tow too large but great pictures.
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing getaway
From day one we had a fantastic time, no work, no thinking, just plain old relaxing and enjoying the resort and all its activities. Every one was extra friendly. The beach was clean and the food great.
Grand Sunset Princess: Fabulous resort!
The resort was everything we could have asked for! A beautiful resort that is very well kept. A clean and comfortable room. In fact the rooms are quite fancy! The food options are endless! The service is wonderful and kind, they all try really hard to please you. I can't wait to go back next year :)
Zel Cozumel: Great resort!
Loved this resort-although not our first trip to Cozumel, it was our first time at Melia. Stayed in the Gardenview building, on the 4th floor and loved the view of the ocean and also the view across the island from our front door. Loved that there are two pools-one for the adults and a great pool area for the kids. Ate at the buffet the whole stay and had no complaints-enough of a variety to keep us happy. And if you talk sweetly to your very friendly servers, they may even get you a bowl of Ice [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort
Overall the hotel was great! The rooms were pretty standard but they were clean! The service was good not great and the food was good...great selection! The hotel was quite far from the beach but they do have carts to carry you! The grounds were good...well taken care of ! The kids club was good but didn't think there was a lot of supervision! I wouldn't leave my 4 year old there alone!
Secrets The Vine Cancun: Spectacular Vacation
This was our second time staying at secrets the vine. Food very good especially Olio which was our favorite restaurant. Staff very friendly, rooms were large with great views, white sand beach. Will definitely return
Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Disappointing
The hotel overall is great, the food is so so! But if you book the Adults Only " Diamond Club", it is disappointing - the pool is full, no where you can find a empty chair everyday, even though you paid more as Daimond Club. The managment is horrible, I booked Ocean view Juccuci room, but I was placed in the swim- up room for two days, I had to move for two consecutive days before I could have the room that I booked. The worst is that I only booked four nights vacation there, the misktake of th [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Best service we have ever been treated to!
The smiling faces of the workers and the inspiring activity group greeted us each day as we dined at the buffet and beach. We returned to a clean room and abundant supply of towels. Always your pick of lounges on the beach and activities galore. The buffet was fantastic with changes in the menu every day. Bar service was quick and extremely friendly. What a trip!
Grand Palladium Kantenah: Great Vacation Getaway!
Very nice facility, well kept and very clean, great food and entertainment and bartending staff. Huge resort so there was always new areas to explore, this was my third trip to a Grand Palladium Resort and would have no hesitation with returning to another.
Moon Palace Cancun: Best Vacation!
Very clean and spacious resort. Friendly staff. Huge pool. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Resort credit is a bonus but even if you decide to just rest in the resort they host their own shows/markets/live music so never gets boring. Enjoyed visiting Beach Palace/Sun Palace on their courtesy bus that goes to the hotel zone every day. RECOMMENDED!!
The Pyramid Cancun: Awesome resort
I Loved it! Always something going on. Perfect for a younger crowd. Great drinks, service was good and the food was amazing! Everyone at the resort was very helpful especially if you wanted to go Into town.. I would definitely recommend this resort
Grand Oasis Cancun: Good, not great
I went to this resort expecting a party resort, and that is definitely what Cancun Oasis caters to. The service is pretty bad overall, but there is lots of alcohol, a good beach and fun parties every night. The room was better than expected; however, the air conditioners break a lot and it made me sick/cough when it was on (probably mold). The Italian restaurant on the resort is great, but all other room options are mediocre, especially the buffet.
