Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Resort!

It was almost perfect! Only issue was the offered 24/7 free internet we never received in the room only in the lobby. Nice polite staff, clean, very well maintained resort all the way! Transportation, food varieties and quality was great! We will go back!

Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Awesome Experience

This was our first time at a family resort , have travelled to Mexico 6 times always stayed at an Adult only 5 star resort .Have to say we had an awesome time . The rooms were great , clean ,bed very comfortable .. we were in the adult only section so it was peaceful and we overlooked a courtyard, had a hammock on our patio so it was relaxing. The food was one of the best we have had in Mexico... French, Asian , Mexican and Italian Restuarants stand out .. seaside grill was great for lunch and the worldcafe for breakfast buffet was great .. something for everyone !! Not as excited about their theme night buffets ie Mexican and Western. food not as good at these . Drinks were great just ask for the good stuff up on the shelf.. house red wine was surprisingly good.The staff were so freindly and helpful. Overall an awesome week . Only real complaint was the "time share " people on arrival , after a very long day travelling {unfortunately it is too far from the airport} this is not what you want to be doing when you first arrive at the resort!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Coba Disappointed

Second trip to Coba in 2 years, disappointed in what is now "Coba Beach" beach huts in NEED of repair to provide shade, seaweed cleanup lasted well into mid morning. Last year able to use Ackmual beach which is sandy very little seaweed and buffet for convenience, this year restricted so much more back and forth to Tulum/Coba for lunches etc. With Coba orange bracelet was denied access at Tulum lunch buffet as hostess said beach cover-up over full one piece suit was too short.........at the same [... read more] time a guest with a see through wrap and thong suit breezed into the buffet......... I totally felt our Coba bracelets was the reason for the denied access. We insisted the hostess be reasonable when we saw the see through cover-up and then the hostess let us into the buffet......very upset & disappointed!!!! Package supposed to have upgrade to "Golden Lobby " first 3 days requested Diet Coke in our mini fridge with no success, also stopped for beach towels (part of upgrade) however unavailable. After visit in 2014 nothing but great things to say encouraged friends to join us in 2015 however 2015 trip was a huge disappointment so will not be returning.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: very nice experience

This was a great resort to go to to just relax. The staff is what made it most memorable for my sister and I. Our absolute favorite staff members were Javier and Miguel in the buffet and Teotl in the entertainment staff. It was a very welcoming resort and there was always someone available for us if we had any questions. The rooms were great and food was delicious. Overall a great experience!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: A Little Slice of Heaven

The service, the grounds and restaurants were superb. The meals in restaurants were all served with love and the dishes were all presented nicely. I travelled with two twenty year old girls ,and they did not want to leave the resort. I have been to a Sandals before and Royalton compares to it. Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: I can now say that I have been to heaven,

Villa Del Palmar is a place that makes all of your dreams come true. You are pampered from the time you arrive until you leave. You become part of the family. I anxiously wait to return. My only concern was the internet, I was constantly trying to Skype to home and this only happened on a few occasions, regardless of all of these problems I was never reimbursed. On my next visit I would not pay for internet.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Pretty Great

We stayed at Royalton for 5 days for our honeymoon. Its a great resort. The room was amazing with the private terrace jacuzzi. The bars were pretty accomodating for non alcoholic drinks. We felt like we had a great time. Service everywhere was great. The only thing is you wont find good coffee or tea. Its way too strong. And the beach wasnt great. Too much seaweed! Also, not enough umbrellas on the beach for shade.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good resort, but choose the right building!

The Hotel was good, a solid 4 star experience. However, there is a lot of variety in the buildings (there are 9). Building 2 had a very unpleasant smell (combo of disinfectant and pest spray). We switched to building 3 and it was great! Food was terrific, staff very personable and helpful. "Emerald" service is nice, but overpriced. Beach isn't great, but much better 10 minutes walk to the left.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Fantastic and immaculate resort

The hotel is contemporary and beautifully designed. We had a swim out room which was a real treat and divided our time between "our" pool and beach. The grounds are lovely and well groomed. The entire resort is immaculate.

Riu Santa Fe: Not our favorite, but still a great time!

We had a great time at the Riu Santa Fe. It hasn't been our favorite Mexico trip but we still really enjoyed ourselves. There were a few things that were not great, such as how spaced out the resort is. Its quite a walk from your room if you want to see the ocean, or go to the lobby or the pool. The staff was great and very helpful. Great entertainment as well! The food was not very good, we went out to eat in town a lot of the time.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Definately a 5 Star Resort

The attention to detail by the hotel staff was excellent and the quality of the food in the restaurants on the Sian Ka'an site was amazing. There was no issue with the beach being located at the other Grand Bahia resorts as the transportation was always available if required but due to the excellent pool facilities we felt no need to leave the Sian Ka'an. Riu Emerald Bay: AMAZING!!

This is our third time visiting this resort!! The Emerald Bay Resort is fabulous. Our two week stay was more than enjoyable, plenty of good food to eat, sunbathing to our hearts content and after supper greatly enjoyed our drinks in the lounge. We only took the elevator three times and used the stairs as we were only on the 5th Flr. We also really appreciated the towel art every day for the 1st week!! Fabulous!! The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Awesome Resort!

This resort was so baby friendly. We got there expecting a play pen and a high chair and we got a bottle warmer, a crib, high chair, play pen, bottle sterilizer, baby bath, stroller, etc. ! Talk about full service! The resort was beautiful and staff was very friendly. The Seafood restaurant on the waterfront was delicious! As was the Italian restaurant!

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Perfect Place for Families

this resort is a boutique hotel, only 109 rooms, perfect size for families. Easy to get around, rooms are close to beach and restaurants. Great kids club and pool area with slides for small kids. Restaurants are good, 24 room service was our favorite for breakfast. Aroma was best restaurant. Lupita was good too. Beach is beautiful and lots of beach chairs. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with really nice rain fall showers. There are free catamaran rides to Isla Mujeres.

Grand Sunset Princess: A perfect place for cat lovers!

Even though this resort has many good points, I'm going to start with the one thing that I found absolutely unacceptable. There were a lot of cats on the grounds of the hotel. Since I absolutely adore them, it was hard to see that many of them had injuries and there was one black kitten on the Sunset side that had such severe eye infection that she was almost blind! Many people (including myself) complained about the need of vet assistance to the hotel management, but the front desk supervisors  [... read more]said there is nothing they can do, which is a SHAME AND COMPLETE NONSENSE!!! How much would it cost in Mexico to hire a vet to come to the resort once a month and provide help to the poor defenceless animals? They advertise themselves as a 5-star resort and they claim they cannot spare pennies to help these deserving animals?! Really? Other resorts in Mexico and even in Egypt have been doing this for ages, but somehow Grand Sunset/Riviera Princess in Riviera Maya claim there is nothing they can do? Here is an idea: how about starting a fund at the front desk to collect money for the vet help - I'm certain many tourists would like to donate. On the positive side, the beach does not feel crowded, unlike in other bigger resorts. There are always a lot of sun loungers available for use any time of the day. The buffet food was good quality and tasty. Even though we stayed there for 2 weeks, I can't say we got tired of it. Among the a la carte restaurants, La Hacienda was our favourite - the seafood dinner was absolutely delicious! The cooking show at Miso was also great fun and a memorable experience. Finally, this resort has separate smoking and non-smoking buildings, which is great, you just need to make sure you are getting what you requested right at the check-in.

Grand Sunset Princess: Just what we needed!

A gorgeous resort that gave us everything we needed! Stunning grounds with so many options to sit and relax, gorgeous beach as well as several pools to choose how loud or quiet you would like it! Food was great with tons of healthy options - a little less salt in it would have made it perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful and aimed to make your stay enjoyable and stress free. Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Great Location and Value for the Money

Hotel was well maintained and food was very good. Rooms could use updating. Looks like they've started to renovate some of the upper floors. If you're looking for a nice beach, go to the Zona Romantica. Beach at the hotel is very coarse gravel. Make sure to request non-smoking room if you don't smoke. If you don't get one, ask to change rooms at the front desk.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Awesome resort!

My boyfriend and I went to the Grand Bahia Principe Tullum April 28-May2 for a quick getaway. It was his first all-inclusive experience so I wanted it to be a positive experience for him. I contacted the resort ahead of time to make arrangements to celebrate his birthday. The resort accommodated our requests and ensured all our needs were met. Service was excellent. Food was great and plenty. We will definitely return.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good value.. Great time

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the resort.. Food and drinks were good.. room was big and bed was comfortable.. Only negatives were the beach was not that great.. Not a lot of shade available.. It is narrow and a lot of weeds wash ashore.. My biggest complaint though is the lack of respect by certain tourists who bring glass beer bottles into the pool area and can't be bothered to take or put their empty glasses back.. Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: First Class Resort

Rooms were beautiful. TVs in the room had movies, HBO,sports. Restaurants were great. Didn't have a bad meal. Service excellent. The nightly shows were very good. The sports bar was great. I watched NFL draft, playoff hockey and Blue Jays baseball.The 3 different hotels within the Resort were well separated. Hotel is fairly isolated. An hour or $50 cab from Cancun or Playa. The beach was nice but the water was not clear as I expect for Mexico. The main complaint was lack of umbrellas for the cha [... read more]irs. If you can't be in the sun all day. This is an issue. With all the money spent on this resort, could have bought a few more umbrellas, for pool and beach. Hate getting up early to fight for umbrellas and chairs. Need a food service on the beach or have food in the beach bars.
