Legends Beach Resort: Don't waste your time, you'll be disapointed...

We've been there for 1 week in May. NEVER AGAIN! For the same price, we could have been in a much, much, better place. The Legends is not an hotel, or a motel, it's worst than an hostel! It's a place for junkies... Lot of drugs, pills, etc. No security and unsafe lock in the room. Smells awful everywhere on the site. Very old rooms, everything is broken or does'nt work, food variety none, no towels, no safebox in the room, no fridge or coffeemaker in the room. At our arrival, we were ch [... read more]ecked-in by the security guard who gave us our key and that was it... It was pitch black outside & we had to look for our room... If you want to invest that price (1230$/per person), keep looking you will find a REAL nice hotel.

Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Amazing Beach

I have been to this resort 7x. The rooms are rought around the edge's but it doesnt bother me. AC worked well . I won't do AI here again. The food this time, was very very repetitive and poor quality. Kitchen food budget needs to be INCREASED!!! Limited fruits offered were extremely overripe. Tray of rice in the buffet was cold as if it just came out the fridge. Jerk chicken left from night b4 becomes BBQ chicken the next day for lunch. Desserts not worth mentioning. It was mango season and  [... read more]not a mango in sight!! Tea pot at buffet couldn't plug in due to electrical issues. No fruit for frozen smoothie drinks at the bar, fountain soda is flat. No sense paying for food I won't eat and alcohol/drinks I won't drink. Location is prime and beach is world renowned. I would definitely return for those reasons. Great location, great staff. Food is the biggest let down here. I have seen much better in previous years. There is food everywhere just off the resort.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Outstanding Resort

The staff and management were great and went to the level to help you out. The beaches and grounds are groomed daily and as well your room were cleaned and stock with all the water and drinks. They have a couple on free tours that a must. Wish we could have stayed longer

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Solid 4 Star Resort

Hotel is a dated, wouldn't rate it as a five star. Good price for all inclusive stay compared to other 5 star rated resorts. Hallways are poorly lit and elevators are small and old. Elevators can only fit about 6 people at a time, or 2 people with luggage. Staff use the same elevators as well with their carts and trolleys taking up almost the entire elevator. Has the standard big whirlpool tub which takes up half the bathroom. A small single person stand up shower, and single sink. Water pressure in the shower was poor and temperature fluctuated often between hot and cold water. AC worked fine and kept the room cool. King size bed. The beach area was small and rocky along the shoreline. Kids pool area and main pool area were large and usually had enough poolside chairs and umbrellas available. The selection of Jamaican food was excellent. The themed nights at the buffet were pretty terrible. Spanish and Asian food selection did not do the cultures any justice, and should try to be improved. Not prepared with the proper and quality ingredients, did not taste good and was not close to being authentic. Desserts were usually the generic big slab cakes and mousses, bread pudding and some type of fried dough balls. Bar service was usually quick, and mixed drinks were prepared decently with a good mix of alcohol to the rest of the drink. The staff were friendly and professional. Had very pleasant interactions with most of the staff in front desk, bars and restaurants. Needed to request for our mini bar to be restocked on two different dates. If you track sand into your room from the beach it will stay there on the floor, housekeeping cleans the room well for the most part but doesn't appear that they sweep/vacuum floors during the week stay.

Riu Montego Bay: The beauty of the people

I was able to visit the Riu in Montego Jamaica along with my family in May 2019. We arrived mid afternoon with a welcoming smile from sunswing staff and she was able to guide us to the front desk to check in right away. Then a kind gentleman took our languages and walked us to our rooms, on our walk he asked us our name, where we from, is it our first here and so on. I travel often and see people doing there jobs just because they have to but you can see that they don’t want to be there. Everyone of the staff from house keeping, dining, bartenders, landscaping, towel attendee, lifeguards and especially the entertaining crew were AMAZING. I would call a few names but I don’t want to leave anyone out. They were friendly, kind, approachable, helpful, supportive, open to communicate and interacts with all there guest of all ages. Another thing that I loved about the staff is that they never made you feel that you needed to tip them and when you did they appreciated it. I didn’t give each time but I got them same kind smile which never changed. The food was good but the environment brought me and my family such joy and I would recommend anyone to experience it. I hope whom ever is reading this will share my review with the staff and express to the how great of a job they are doing. I will continue to brag about my trip to everyone I know n don’t know. Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing resort

Grand palladium is amazing. It’s structure and design is so incredible, huge, like you are at a palace. Plenty of dining options. Over 10 restaurants to Choose from we didn’t get to eat at every one, but the Food was just mediocre but staff are very nice. More detail could be put on the seasonings for food. We food a lot of options bland. Will stay again for the great design clean atmosphere and staff!

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Good Food, Lacks Towels.

Rooms - Dated, but clean. Biggest issue was consistency. We had 2 rooms, 1 room got towels daily the other lacked towels at least 50% of the days there. Housecoats in one room only , Spare toilet paper in one room but not the other. The beds were super comfortable and lots of English TV stations. No snacks but 8 bottles of water and a couple soft drinks and beers daily. Beach - fantastic, lots of chairs, close to bars, snorkeling right off beach. Beach towels are an issue. Golf - Course wa [... read more]s really dried out. The greens and tee boxes were good but the rest was yellow. A bit dissapointing, expecially since renting clubs was 40 each, plus caddy and cart fee made golf about $150 (USD) plus drinks and tip. Water Park - Was fun, did get a bit busy but a great extra perk. Food - Excellent, everything except dining under the stars (food was cold, less selection). Everyone was happy with restaurants and the buffet shockingly did change many items throughout the week. The jerk hut was fantastic. Service was just okay. A few bartenders went out of their way for tips but overall was only impressed by a couple of waiters.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Great Family Resort

The staff are amazing and the small resort makes it better to get to know the staff and to build a relationship with. My kids had a blast and want to go back. 3.5 star in quality of the hotel but a 5 star for the kids club staff. The hotel itself is a bit outdated.

Riu Reggae: Favolous Resort

We been going to different Carribean resort, at Punta Cana, Mexico, to try other country, we choose Jamaica. Debating which resort we are going to stay, we end up choosing Riu to experience this hotel also. This is our first time in this hotel, so glad that we choose the RIGHT one! A special recognition to Jaguar, Hollywood, Spice, Lady Momo, Black Beauty, Spark, Jayjo ( not sure if this is correct), Fresh,and the rest of the entertainer. They are so talented and really showed the definition of Entertainment. My favourite show is the story of AFRICA and comedy show they did last Saturday, the end of our vacation. The Food, wow fresh and Authentic. Love the Jerk chicken they are serving at the beach. Sweet potatoes is real man! Love it. Room is always clean and organize. I forget the name of our housekeeper but she is very nice also. We are at the first floor of the right side of the lobby, it was very convenient, sound proof, steps away from the beach and pool. I can't think of any negative comment with my experience in Jamaica and in this hotel. Amaizing! Thank you all Reggae Staff and specially to entertainers. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Perfect vacation

Went there May 6, 2019. Smaller resort, but perfect. 15 minute bus ride from the airport. Beautiful beach/sand. Clear ocean water with no weeds/grass. Food is awesome, especially if if you like the local food - jerk chicken, oxtail, curried chicken, curried goat, beef & chicken patties and much more. The non-local/standard resort food is very good as well (pizza/pasta, turkey, roast beef, grilled steak, chicken, burgers etc). All the staff are great. They want to return here instead of exploring other destinations or resorts.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great Resort, Rooms So-So

This resort was marketed as a 5 star. The food, service, amenities and housekeeping are definitely 5 star, however, the accommodations are quite basic for a 5 star. There was no hot water for 2.5 days and they ran out of washcloths for 2 days. The ceiling in the room literally lifts up when a breeze comes through the room. Walls are VERY thin and you can hear people speaking in the next room and in the hallways.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Hotel

This year is our fifth time third at the Luxury side. We were in room 26511 fantastic view. I love the grounds. I do my daily walks by walking around the hotel which took approximately 20 minutes. The food, drinks were plentyfull. My only complain is that the beach on the luxury side need to be improved upon.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great Resort

Stayed from may 13/19 to May 20/19 Excellent resort nice and clean, great staff, amazing selection of food and drinks. Great resort for family vacation there is something to do for adults and kids which makes it good resort for family. My fourth trip to this resort and I am already planning to be back in October with my wife,daughter,son-in-law and grandson.

Sandals Dunn's River: Phenomenal Everything!!

We had expected a great time as this well reviewed resort, and ended up with an unbelievable time. The staff were fun & very accommodating. The grounds were pristine & beautiful at all times. The rooms were cozy & I can't say enough about the amazing food... Jerk chicken? Yes please!!!

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Fantastic Tropical Getaway

We just got back from our third year in a row and we will definitely return. The staff offer friendly, welcoming greetings each time we go. Check-in is so easy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. What a super view of Montego Bay! The beach is clean, the many cabanas offer shade, and the water is perfect for taking a dip. A wide selection of water sports are offered. So much fun! There's a wide variety of food, the service is warm and friendly, and the bartenders offer specials, or your choice.

Sandals Dunn's River: This resort is a Home away from Home to all!!!

I loved staying at the Jewel, the environment was welcoming and full of love and respect by all. The Jewel I recomend to one and all as an ideal place to get away from you day to day, with lots of activities and such a fun environment. At the Jewel you never feel like a customer, they make you feel as if your family. One love, One heart as they say!.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: second time just as great !

We travelled to GBP Jamaica Aug 2018 & May 12-19 2019 . For us this resort offers everything we want. Beach is amazing the farthest beach is the one we prefer, much more shade and breeze , not as crowded. We love the food here. The A la carte's are fantastic. Have not tried Italian could not get in either time, Buffet always has many options. The staff at this resort are always friendly helpful and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. We made coffee in room every morning , sat on balcony. . We enjoyed the morning buffet at the steakhouse. It was right outside of building , perfect. . You can have lunch at Piscis beach grill. But prefer the air conditoned main buffet , where there are more choices and it's nice to get out of the heat. Our maid was fantastic. Vanessa at main lobby was such a great help and got us in our room sooner than expected.

The hotel was nice but the food at the buffets was a bit repetitive and generally overcooked and dried out. We arrived at 12 noon and were told our room would be ready at 3 but it was close to 5pm and they did not seem to be very sorry or try to make up for the inconvenience. The staff were either very nice and welcoming or were the total opposite and very unresponsive and cold. Speaking of cold, we woke early one morning to only cold water, needless to say no shower that morning. Then we can b [... read more]ack to our room at around 6pm to find we still had no warm water and when we asked the front reception they said it would be another 3 hours. We were desperate for a shower after a full day at the beach. We are not fans of cold showers and that started the night off to a not so pleasant mood. The evening entertainment was very amateurish. I felt at times like I was at a high school talent show. Our trip was not a total disappointment as the weather was great and the beach was amazing but I do think the hotel needs to address some of these issues that we encountered, especially with the staff. At times I felt like I was really interrupting them and they did not look like they cared at all. No smiles or thank you, even when yo tipped them. It seemed like they felt entitled to the tip, not that they needed to give any special service or be polite and maybe smile, just entitled to it. In Canada I feel we treat customers better and most service people do not even get tips here, unless they really provide great service. A smile and some compassion goes a long way!

Dreams Rose Hall: Just as amazing as the first time

This resort truly does have the whole package for families. All of our requests were accommodated, food was fantastic, service was exceptional. We traveled with friends of ours and their children as well and we already cannot wait to go back. Rooms: Simple, clean. We stayed on the ground floor and had a walkout room which was so convenient to have as we were one minute from the waterpark ,buffet and spa. Restaurants: BBQ was delicious, Mangos and seaside both had great options for lunch, we  [... read more]booked two a la cartes and the italian was pretty good and three palms was alright ( the food and atmosphere seemed kind bland ). Beach: Private, lots of lounge chairs, small but perfect for small kids. Waterpark: So much fun. We had the best time and would recommend this resort to any family looking for a vacation with their kids.

Riu Negril: Great resort

Great resort for the most part. could use elevators for the third level rooms, as a long climb at the end of the day! No coffee makers in standard rooms and a long walk to the Sports bar....only place for coffee in the morning other than in the buffet. Those are the only complaints, great beach, entertainment, food and staff were all fantastic! Would go again in a heartbeat! Everything Irie !
