Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Titanic of Cuba

Poor hygiene. Hotel has deteriorated considerably. Japanese restaurant makes you sick. Two of the four restaurants closed. Waterfall not repaired in two years! Rooms filthy and not cleaned daily, no towels, drinks, sheets not changed. Cockroaches everywhere. Hallways and stairs poorly lit and slippery. Ran out of drinks daily but had for some special guests only. Staff ignored all requests. Guest relations and managers rude and inefficient-patronizing and dismissive. Beach gorgeous. Many [... read more] broken chairs. Very expensive for lack of amenities and service. Is a two star at most. If it was the Titanic, guests are third class passengers. Bring your own lifejacket.

Iberostar Grand Packard: A Worthwhile View

The hotel is central of most major tourist attractions and restaurants. The best feature of the hotel is the 6th floor view from the infinity pool area which faces the El Morro castle. Sunrise from this hotel is an attraction of its own. The facility is about a year old so everything is new and pristine. The hotel is on the higher tier of cost, but worth the stay.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Fantastic Trip

We stayed here from October 15-22, 2019. We booked an ocean view room and the view we had was amazing! When checking in, we arrived a lot earlier than check in time and was given our room keys and was so pleased with our room. The food was great for Cuban standards. We were never hungry. The staff was always smiling and happy. We are hoping to come back again soon!!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Good Hotel

Rooms were clean beds comfortable public washrooms very clean bars and restaurants and pool areas are amazing..Meals are very good with lots of choices for everyone... Staff were overwhelmed @ times but all in all they were friendly and very helpful in everything

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Outstanding family resort !

My wife and I celebrated our 65 birthdays by spend 8 days with our sons and their families (10 of us with the g/kids ranging in age from 3 to 16) at this resort........perfectly suited for a family vacation. From the excellent choice in restaurants, the kids camp, the quality of food, the various activities(for all ages) the nightly shows to the choice of entertainment and the level of service the entire family rated this resort as a 10. Service from check in, at the restaurants , by the pool or on the beach to maid service was superb. The staff were all extremely polite, fun and very caring....... Jesus & Myra at the beach roof top bar went out of their way to ensure for my second visit there was a bottle of Jack Daniel's behind the bar. Johnny, Pepe and all the event staff did an excellent job and appeared to be always having fun A couple of recommendations would include a new location for the beach volleyball (too many pebbles) and the need to keep birds away from the pool area ( especially by the umbrellas & lounges near the restaurants)

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Resort

After many vacations to Cuba our week at Iberostar Daiquiri was as good as it gets. This was our fourth time to this resort so obviously we enjoy this place and this time everything was exceptional. Our room ideally located,the staff worked hard and were exceedingly pleasant and fun to be with. Since it was off season the buffet changed location for supper several times and the final night was set up by the pool. The other guests at the resort were a fun bunch who seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves and forget the outside world during their vacation. The beach was really good and the new jetty a welcome addition especially if one likes to fish. The resort is small and older but well maintained which we enjoyed more then some of the new resorts with all their glitter.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: 2 Star Hotel

I just came back from a week long vacation at the Iberostar Daiquiri (Oct/19) and was not extremely impressed with the overall quality of the hotel. Although it was clean it was quite old. We were 3 people so the room that was provided for us was a king bed and my son had to sleep on a pull out couch. There were days when the maid staff did not re-fill the fridge with water and pop. The main bathrooms were constantly out of toilet paper, they unplugged the hand dryers and there was never any soa [... read more]p in the dispensers. The pool bar snacks were not great and only ran in the afternoon. There was nothing available past 10 p.m. As it was off season the resort decided to close 1/2 of the amenities so their was only 1 ala cart available each night. They advised me they were full but a 1/3 of the tables were empty and did not have any place settings. The night time entertainment was severely lacking. We went to the night club to see the dancers each night. When they had games they were basically drinking games against the staff. The entertainment lacked any real creativity. The lobby had singers most nights and they were excellent. The night club then closed for the evening so everyone had to congregate at the lobby bar. I attempted to use the gym one day but thought I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion as the room did not have any air conditioning. The staff for the most part was very friendly although there were a few men who were a bit pushy for attention. Weather was amazing and the beach was clean and comfortable.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: THE BEST STAFF IN THE WORLD!

This resort should pride themselves on the staff they have working for them. I will never forget my experience there with all the entertainers. Jormer Entenza was the most incredible host. Clean hotel and the views of the beach was worth every moment. However, I experienced an unfortunate incident of harassment by another guest and their party and nothing was done to assist me. WestJet Vacations was also notified about the incident and did nothing as well.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Good value for the price!

Very nice resort, friendly service at the front desk, rooms were fine, cleaned later in the day not in the morning but good job, buffet restaurant great service and very good food, enjoyed morning fresh fruit juices, bakes fantastic, good selection of items. Romantico restaurant I would suggest some music in the background (perhaps romantic music) food just ok, Italian food was good but the best a la carte turned out to be Caribbean restaurant. Bars could have more servers as it was always lined [... read more] up, on couple of occasions beach bar run out of glasses, so no serving unless you had your own cup. Beach activities great! the team is very good. Entertainment at night very enjoyable, great team of professional dancers and singers. We enjoyed very much evenings at 8.30 with Cuban music entertainment. The restaurant by the beach was not open -not sure why? Over all very good value for the price -worth to go back :) Beach and water breath taken :)

Hotel Bella Costa: Will never stay there again

Very unkept resort, Grass was 2’ long in places. I have 3 kids ages 4-9, there was no kids club operational, only one entertainment activity at 930 nightly with nothing during the day to entertain the kids or adults. Pool had no water in it for 10 of 14 days we were there. They did offer to switch us hotels but my family of 15 was with us and it was really difficult to keep us all together. It was amazing. We like how they trit us there. The hotel was clean. The food and drinks was good. People are friendly. We really like there. Hopefully we gonna come back there for the next vacation. Thank you guys

As expected the Iberostar Resorts performed at a very hi quality standards. Everything they offered, from Food , multitude of restaurants beaches,, rooms cleanness, immaculate resort excellent food variety ...everything. The fact that in Playa Paraiso there are 5 Iberostar resorts coupled together with privileges all around is a bonus. Everything was excellent without any fault...way to go

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Best Resort in Dominican for Couples

The hotel was gorgeous upon first stepping foot inside for our honeymoon, the service is topnotch and genuinely given by the wonderful staff which strive to make your visit that much more special and enjoyable. Rooms were always kept clean along with the facilities, every day our room was decorated with different arrangements to keep our stay welcoming along with the delicious chocolates and beverages in our mini fridge. The shampoo and other cleaning products were very nice for our hair and skin. The food was the least of our concerns during the whole vacation because of the great reviews my wife and I read before deciding, gluten free was an important aspect because she is Celiac which is a serious allergy to gluten so that kind of care and attention was vital. They delivered, she didn't seem to have any reactions or symptoms. Food was plentiful and delicious, the amenities like the pools and volleyball, ping pong, numerous open hut type areas where you could lay by the beach and enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean was wonderful. I highly recommend Iberostar, it's left such a good impression that we will choose this hotel establishment at other future destinations abroad.

I thought the staff did an amazing job when you consider the lack of tourists due to the collapse of Thomas cook...went out of their way to entertain us......pools were great....lots of activities....and the food wasn't all that bad....rooms were old but clean....still trying to get things back after last hurricane....problems were dealt with as quickly as possible....my husband and I would definitely return here

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing

We had a really good time, my son love the kid club , the room service was good and clean . Beach was nice and the pool very clean. The food in the buffet was ok no complain was varity to eat. The ladies in the kids club amazing my son love them.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Beautiful resort

Well, the pool was already under renovation....we had to trot over to the pool at the star prestige section. The staff was excellent. It made for a lot of walking. The beach was quite nice. the water was warm, if a bit cloudy...probably due to some hurricane. Food was quite good, but not as much variety due to there not being too many people. Over all, I would recommend this hotel.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Room for major imrovement

Hotel is in declining repair, common areas, hall ways all in need of paint and updated lighting. Our room was ok but was missing light bulbs, very common theme in most rooms. Buffet was typical and menu never changed. Specialty restaurants were better option. Pool area was good but resort ran out of towels. Would not recommend this resort and would not consider returning. Beach area in terrible shape with no maintenance, no effort to fix walkways, tidy up loungers, groom the beach area.

Hotel Bella Costa: The hotel was okay.

Nice, impressive lobby. The staff was very friendly and courteous even with some of the tougher to please members of our group. There was 3 elevators but one never seemed to be in service. There was no out of service sign, it just seemed to not operate. We couldn't figure out the number of floors. The elevator had 7 floors plus the lobby but we only counted 5 from the outside. Go figure? The hallways were well light. On our floor, there were some bare wires hanging out of the wall. Just hangin [... read more]g there. Nice rooms. Mine was great. The patio was almost as big as the room. It had an awesome view of the ocean, palm trees and the pool. The only problem i encountered was the phone didn't work. I tried to call down to complain about the noise in the middle of the night, the phone was dead. The food sucked. It really had no flavour but that was all over Cuba. My rating would be 8* of 10

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Resort with Amazing Staff- Coral Section

The Grand Village (Coral Section) is where we stayed and it really is a paradise. From the moment you arrive you are greeted like family returning home. We arrived very late to the hotel , but the check in was fast and easy as they had everything ready for us, we were then taken by golf cart to our room where they had the room cool and the hot tub warm for our first night. Our Villas were amazing and the new addition of the step up jacuzzi was a great way to relax during your down time ,  [... read more]or to settle in for the night, with a beautiful view of the ocean. On our second day our main room AC went down,(but the bedroom AC was still working great so everything was still OK and cool) , the staff was there right away to try and fix it, unfortunately they did not have a part and said they would return the next day. Again the next day they came and still did not have the part so without asking they offered to move our room to another villa, which we did with their help.The staff in this section are beyond amazing and really know how to make your stay the best it can be. The meals were amazing as well. Lunch at the beach grill right on the ocean , can't be beat! And the daily lobster was an added bonus. We ate most meals at the Grand Village but did try the buffet once, however , the main buffet was under renovation so we they had something set up in one of the restaurants for guests, it was not that great so at that point we decided not to eat outside the villa section. The only cons from our trip was that the resort does need some updating. The paths to the beach needed repairs and it is very dark at night with few lights along the paths actually working.Also, some nightly entertainment in the lobby area of the main resort when relaxing after dinner would be a nice addition as well. But overall , my wife and i had a great trip and will be returning again very soon.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Excellent Resort !

Resort grounds were clean and nicely manicured. Every area of resort was easily accessible. Lazy river was fun. Food was great & lots of variety. Staff throughout resort were all friendly , always approachable and made us feel welcome.
