Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Best resort ever!

We had the best all inclusive trip to Mayan riviera Grand Sirenes ever! We were there April 19 to April 27, the weather was sunny every day, the buffet was fabulous and the grounds were impeccable. We also enjoyed at day at the spa, and the dolphin show right in the resort. The ice cream bar and lazy river were also a highlight. The concierge was always friendly and very helpful. We would definitely return!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Lives up to Bahia past experiences

The only issue I had was that the beach was not as nice as other Bahia resorts I have stayed at. There was way too much seaweed. The shoreline of the beach was really short and the water was not crystal clear and very rough waters, There was a red flag posted for the whole week we were there. We made the best of it but I don't know if I would return to the Bahia in Mexico again. The resort was too far from the airport as well.

Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas: Not too bad

The resort,people and food were really good.The only problem we had with this place was the beach or should I say lack of. The beach was very small and water was very dirty and nowhere to swim. Other than that it wasent too bad.

Riu Palace Mexico: amazing place

this was by far the most amazing trip we have taken the resort, service and staff the food and the day trips, the beach and shopping all excellent, My wife and I are already counting down the days when we return for next years vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Not so amazing resort

We felt the property was beautiful, the food was great. We did not get great service (with the exception of one server), our room had a noisy fan and a poor quality air conditioner - we complained twice and never got satisfaction

Grand Riviera Princess: Very Nice Resort

My wife and I visited the Grand Riviera Princess on April 22, 2015. We were very happy with our stay. The service was excellent.. from the front desk staff to the room service waiter, we were treated very well. We stayed on the Riviera side of the resort, in a deluxe suite. The room was fine but a bit tired. The beds were very hard which made for a difficult night sleep. The bathroom had a leaky shower which could pose potential danger if you weren't careful. Water on a marble floor isn't a good [... read more] combination. The resort has several nice pools. A good mix of more lively/party pools and quieter ones if you are just looking to relax. We didn't spend much time at the beach but it was beautiful. The food in the buffet restaurants was great for our tastes. We didn't try any a la cartes as we weren't interested in keeping to any schedule. Other travelers that we met seemed to enjoy the Japanese the most. The beach had a snack bar where you could make a burger or nachos etc. Overall, we had a nice trip. We would go back.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Awesome and Amzing

Hotel accommodations after the renovations were fantastic, the restaurants were all top notch. We ate at all of the a la carte's and were never disappointed. The staff were all very friendly and were eager to please anyone with a request. The sushi bar and 24 hour pool bar were a nice added.touch. Swimming with the sea turtles and stingrays was the icing on the cake for this quiet gem of a resort. The only downfall was the lack of nightly entertainment.

Beach Palace: Fantastic Hotel!!

A group of 12 adults just spent one week at Beach palace. This hotel is close to a big mall (walking distance) close to night life and is on a beautiful strech of beach!!! Very clean and all staff where genuinely kind and helpful. Food at buffet and two other restaurants (Asian and Italian) was excellent.

Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Great Holiday

Loved everything about this resort. The service was best we have ever had at an all inclusive. It was our 3rd time to Mexico and definitely our favourite resort. First adults only and definetly the way to go. Food: Enjoyed every meal and only ate at buffet about 3 or 4 times as there are so many other options. Room: we upgraded to oceanfront since it was our 25th and had beautiful views and loved sound of ocean at night and morning. We were on 2nd floor. Room 256 big balcony compared to others oceanfront Entertainment: Best staff ever. Always something to do if you want. Shows at nighttime were good and a few outside which I enjoyed. Big thank you to Hector Caroline Pamela Victor and Omar and Rudolpho at the desires in evening :) and not to forget Israel who worked hard to get you some shade and bring you an umberella poolside . Beach: We are definetly beach people and we had no issues. Water was beautiful once you stepped over some seaweed. Hardly any rocks and yes not a lot of sand but we are there for the water. Drinks: never had to wait for a drink always served beach and poolside promptly. Loved the chocolate martinis at night lobby bar and the mojitos at pool were our favourites .

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Bahia principe coba

The grounds were nice, however the service at the buffet was not good. They were always out of everything, and I had to ask 3 different people for a drink before we got them. The room was nice and in a good location, however it was our second room, as the first, had a broken air conditioner and mold in the room. The second smelled musty but overall was not too bad.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Good resort with minor complaints

Beautiful grounds, nice beach although full of seaweeds and windy on the water. We enjoyed a few restaurants while our stay at Valentin. Did not like the birds flying through the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch buffet. Birds even took some food out of my plate while I got up to get something. Enjoyed the french restaurant the most. Enjoyed the evening shows and the various bars which had any kind of drinks you asked for. Negative comments: 1. Too many smokers at outside bar outside lobby [... read more] and by the lazy river pool (which is where we went swimming). 2. Too far to walk to the beach to get shaded area, bathrooms were too far to get to from the beach. 3. Not enough concierge at this somewhat big resort, did not see any concierge other than in the lobby. There were 1 at times and other times there were 2. The jacuzzi did not work in the room we stayed in. Did not tell anyone because it was on our last day that we noticed that it did not work. We had to request face cloths three times during the week, maid did not leave us face cloths each day. Over all I expected more out of this resort, we went to El Dorado Seaside last year and I would definitely recommend El Dorado over Valentin.

Catalonia Yucatan: Fantastic Resort!

It was our first time to Mexico and this resort. The grounds and rooms were immaculate, the food was fantastic, the bartenders at the Tequila Bar were awesome! The bartenders at the Chill Out bar were pouring our drinks when they seen us coming! The drinks kept coming, and thats without a big tip. All of the staff were friendly, especially Esmeralda at the Reception Desk, she was VERY friendly and answered any questions we had without making us feel like we were bothering her. The pools were always nice and clean but the beach wasnt very swimmable (only a minor thing, it was still beautiful!) Only downside I could say there really was, is that you can not buy a bottle of rum or anything from the gift shop to keep in your room to drink. We were provided with a pint size bottle of Tequila in our room (We stayed in Room 7023, Privileged), but that didnt last long. Haha. We had a photo session with a photographer on the resort and he was fantastic, and the pictures we purchased, we were beyond pleased. We had a very relaxing vacation (we stayed from April 26- May 3/2015) which is what we went for. Kudos to the staff for making it a great one! Thank you.

Riu Emerald Bay: the resort sure is large

Riu Santa Fe: Awesome trip, great resort

We stayed in building 2, which after seeing the 'party pool' nearest to the ocean, I was grateful we weren't closer. It was honestly, gross. Cigarette butts everywhere, empty glasses all over the pool area, and it was way warmer than the other pools, which meant to me most of the party goers were not getting out often enough to use the washroom. The grounds were maintained beautifully, grass always cuts and trees taken care of. Everything was always being cleaned or was noticeably clean when areas were not being used. We could always find something good in the buffet , the Asian restaurant wasn't the best, the chicken teriyaki was not appetizing and the buffet option for appetizers was a little strange. But I enjoyed the fried ice cream! We ate at the steakhouse our last night, and after a confusion with us not being on the guest list, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We're from Alberta, with AAA Alberta beef so we were all skeptical about the quality, but we all left very satisfied with no complaints. It was a really great meal. Getting transportation to and from the resort was very easy and not a hassle. And it was close enough to town that it wasn't expensive. The only major complaint I left with was the bed and pillows. The pillows were very soft and were not comfortable one bit. And I never have back pain, but by the last few days, I started getting pain from the bed, not sure if it was too hard or not enough support, either way I was very happy to leave and sleep in my own bed the night we left. But overall, we had a great trip and would recommend the resort to a friend.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing Snorkling

This is a small resort but it was one of the most relaxing vacations that we have ever had the staff were always there to help and Wilbert from the Lobby Bar was great. You do not have far to go to snorkel which was wonderful we had seen turtles and stingrays and many different fish would return again

Catalonia Yucatan: Awesome resort!

Super clean, staff all amazing,kind and very professional. Rooms were nice and clean. Pools excellent. Food excellent. A la cartes were amazing. Only down side was the beach, too rocky to swim in :( but if you upgrade you have access to the other side of the beach which is beautiful and you can swim. another tip- xcaret excursion was a waste of money- very disappointing will never do it again. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Could be awesome

Great pools, grounds and food. Nice rooms but maids don't keep them as clean as I like. Toothpaste from previous guest on mirrors, etc. concierge useless. Check-in a disaster. Had drunk people peeing off their balcony, screaming all hours of the night and the only reply we got when we complained was "we don't pre-screen our guest", and they did nothing to resolve the situation that went on for many nights! This is a wild party place and it seems anything goes.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Great family resort! Something for everyone

The hotel itself was great! The service was average. Grounds were clean! Food was great! No one got sick! Love all the animals everywhere! Wish room service was included. The Excaret park is a must-see. Definitely recommended getting an unlimited pass. Too much to do there. Need at least three days to see it all!

Flamingo Cancun Resort: A Sad State of Affairs!!

The staff was friendly and tried their very best to be accommodating, but the policies and overall management of this resort were deplorable!! Two bars - only one bar was open at a time. Drinks limited to two per person per order, so if you're with a party of people, you can't pick up drinks for your friends. The buffet was small, the variety and flavour even smaller. There's ONE two-slice toaster provided for breakfast. They served the same dishes (changed up one or two things) every morning fo [... read more]r two weeks. You have to stand in line at the bar to get a glass of water. Its not made available anywhere else on the resort. There's one a la carte restaurant, good food and great service, but a nightmare trying to make a successful reservation. No free wifi on site, as advertised. Rooms were clean, beach was beautiful. This place has the potential to be great, but due to poor management, the staff morale is obviously very low, which led to one mistake after another, especially with interdepartmental communication. A simple thing like getting two bottles of water delivered to our room took 4 days and 5 phone calls!!

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Outstanding resort !!!

Resort was by far the best I've ever seen or been to. Everything was extremely clean and well looked after, food was great, entertainment was good... Staff were so friendly.. Not a complaint about the place! Amazing!!!
