Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Trouble in paradise

The hotel room was beautiful, it was spacious & had a lovely bathroom. However the first 3 nights neither of us slept well. In further investigation we could see that our bed had been broken & repaired (not well). It was like sleeping with a huge hump in the middle of our back. Our friends staying in another rim had the same issue with their bed. About 4 days in we had a leak in our ceiling in the bathroom. If you needed to use the toilet it would drip on you. We called 4 times & every time they [... read more] said they would be right there, nobody ever showed up. Finally at 11pm my friend who spoke some Spanish called the front desk & someone finally came. It was extremely hot & humid, so when you got dressed up for the ala'carte it was very warm, none of the restraunts seem to be air conditioned. After dinner we would come back to our resort only to find all entertainment was over. We never did see any entertainment in our resort. The pool where all the fun was happening was way way too hot. If you had a sun burn it was actually hard to get into.

Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta: AMAZING PRESORT AMAZING STAFF

From begging to end a wonderful vacation. Central location, close to airport,downtown and shopping.A class service with a smile, beach area and pools fantastic with premium liquors and they have Corona!!! The No reservations for the All-Cartes was amazing and would definitely go back. Oh did i mention the 24hr room service, stoked beer fridge in room and the fact that the entire resort is ocean view with breathtaking sunsets daily. Reef Club Playacar Beach: Small frendly resort

Small resort, excellent location 15min walk to 5th avenue, beautiful beach, friendly staff, food good but buffet almost always the same choices, older but a lot of improvements being done. This was our 4th stay, would stay there again

Excellence Riviera Cancun: favourite resort!

This resort was almost perfect! If you could put that pretty water that I have had at resorts in Cuba, at this resort, I don't think I would ever go to any other resort ever again. I know this is not the resorts fault. The resort....wow!!! Everything about it was great, it looked like everyone had a great view and the rooms very nice and well kept. There were also snicker bars, m &m's, and oreo's. We did not upgrade and felt we were not missing out on anything! The food was good and there was a large menu you could order off room service , open 24 hrs. Breakfast was good, you could choose the buffet or there were at least two other places to order off a menu. I loved all of the options for lunch, several restaurants opened depending on what you felt like. if you didn't feel like throwing on a cover up or t-shirt, there was a place on the beach to get lunch. For dinner there were no reservations needed which I love! If the restaurant you chose to dine in that evening was busy, they would give you a buzzer and you could wait at one of the fabulous bars while waiting for a few minutes. I think there were 8 restaurants to choose from, all great. There was also a new coffee shop, called Aroma, it was soooo good. Amazing specialty coffees, as good as Starbucks! The beach was great with lots of loungers and never a problem to get one. Nice white powdery sand. Lots of places in shade or sun, depending on what you are feeling. The beach service, fantastic, hardly finished one drink and someone there asking if ready for another! The pools were the best I have seen. There were lots of floaties to grab and laze around the lazy river, very relaxing. There were also several chairs around the pools, sun and shade. There was also an amazing spa, the building was gorgeous. I did not do the spa experience, but everyone that did says it was great. You could grab a floatie and float around it, the soft music and the smell coming from it, was so relaxing in itself. I will go back to this resort some day and plan on doing one of the spa treatments. There were so many good things about this resort, one being no beach chair reserving, loved, loved it! You could go to the beach at 10 and there would still be lots of chairs, and the beach towels....never a shortage! I loved the entertainment here. There was always something going on. Music at pool everyday and the beach being so close you could hear it, really liked this aspect of this resort. There was always music at the little plaza - pre dinner everyday, really enjoyed this and then more action at theatre at 9 or so, everything quite entertaining, would have to say Michael Jackson show was my favourite. I could go on and on about this resort. We have been to a few over the years and always have gone a 4 or 5 star, but this was far the best, I cant wait to return here.

Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun: Fab Fiesta

Loved this hotel. Great pool, comfortable room, excellent food. I would go back to this resort and the only change I would make is to book an oceanview room. The specialty restaurants do not need reservations and you are not limited to how many times you can go to each. One of the only downsides is you do have to reserve your poolside chair early or you will not get one.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Fabulous resort!

The only thing that lacked was the beach due to seaweed,algae,etc. The room was beautiful,cool and very clean.The restaurants were all amazing and presentation of food impressive.The gym was state-of-the-art with top notch equipment.Service on the resort was outstanding.Pools lovely with choices of privacy or fun.Entertainment is nice.

Riu Vallarta: Excellent Resort

Grounds where very nice and well kept, pools clean but a little small for the size of the hotel, Steak house was a nice change but average, Nirvana restaurant was good and would recommend, had a reservation at Sir George's but was not able to eat due to myself wearing dress shorts (make sure you bring long pants) rooms where clean and towels were plenty,beds where hard as a rock so make sure you ask for a mattress pad when you arrive, AC worked great in rooms 8075&8076, and where nice and quite  [... read more]away from the court side rooms,the in room bar and fridge were only stocked every second day but our liquor bottles were empty for 4 days and we had to call for replacement, the buffet was excellent and had many different choices for all to enjoy as we had breakfast lunch dinner there most of the time and service was great. P.s I have already recommended this hotel to a co worker and they are there now.

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Wonderful resort!!!

This resort has exceed our expectations. It truly deserves to be rated with 5 stars. Awesome amenities and room service. Wifi available all over the resort including the rooms. Great beach area with amazing coral reef, perfect for snorkelers. Staff is very friendly and willing to do anything to make you comfortable. Excellent food choices in all dining areas. rooms are large and comfortable.

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Amazing!

Everything was beautiful...very boutique atmosphere..LOVED it. Everything was perfect and exactly what we expect form a 5 plus star resort. The rooms were comfy and clean, the food was simply to die for...we have been unable to match the food anywhere else! GO!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Very nice resort

Very nice accommodations and a very nice resort. The rooms were spectacular, and the service was good. In my opinion the food was average, as I have stayed in the area before and had better food. The service was good. The beach area was average, as the water going into the ocean was very murky and not clear at all. Not good for swimming. If you have a need to go into the ocean, I would not recommend this resort.

Marival Distinct all Suites and World Spa: Simply the Best!

The Marival Residence Luxury Resort is exactly what this location is, luxurious. Staff are excellent, informative and kind. The resort is kept clean, the restaurants are top knotch and the pool area is well looked after. Whether you go as friends, couples or families you are sure to enjoy all of the amenities. The suites are fantastic, with 2 full washrooms, kitchen, front room, dining and laundry (if you are so inclined). Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Very Nice Resort at a good price!

The hotel was great. The room spacious and very nicely decorated. We had the 4th floor of section 7 facing the garden. It was very quiet and conveniently located next to the small quiet pool. The beach was disappointing but we heard that from previous reviews so it wasn't a surprise. There were lots of chairs on the beach though so that made up for it. one other thing that I didn't really like was that the pools closed at 7PM. They said that they closed at 7 to clean the pools but I never once saw anyone cleaning the pools other than in the morning. The entertainment at night was average. Nothing really blew us away. The could work on that part of the experience. On a couple nights we left because it wasn't very good. The food was good. We could always find something good to eat. Maybe more cooked vegetables. There were a lot of proteins but not many veggies to choose from. The restaurants were good and we always managed to get a reservation. The french was our favorite. we weren't bothered by the timeshare people like some reviewers. We were told how to deal with them just in case but it wasn't needed. Prices in the gift shops weren't much different than the prices when we went to 5th avenue shopping. If I had my time back I wouldn't have gone. there were too many people picking at us to go into their stores. It really turned us off. Maybe try somewhere less touristy. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone that is interested in going for a relaxing vacation.

Allegro Cozumel: Occidental Allegro Cozumel Mexico

Actual hotel and lobby very clean but room was very uncomfortable. Beds were hard as a rock. Showers did not have consistent hot water. Also the room was very small. Beach was very wavy. Hard to swim and sand was very coarse.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Fantastic resort

This hotel was very clean, well kept and the staff were amazing. I did find the beach was what I expected but still well kept and clean. Would definately go back. The rooms were so clean and were cleaned every day. The food was awesome and always had something different to pick from.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice clean, modern resort.

The resort was clean, buildings were modern, and all amenities in our room worked great. Air conditioning was good, shower worked well with lots of hot water. The pools were great, although often difficult to find a chair as there was high occupancy during our week stay. Negative point was its not beach front, which we knew, but the next resort is no longer part of the same company, so no access through this property to the beach as was available during a previous visit here. Riu Santa Fe: Lives up to the hype!

The Riu Santa Fe was absolutely amazing. Beautiful grounds, great rooms, and the food was very, very good! All of the workers were extremely helpful and positive which really enhanced our experience. The beach was beautiful and although the undertow in the water is no joke, it is still possible to swim on most days. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is private but close enough to other resorts to make for a fun walk if you want to explore. We walked the beach into downtown on more than  [... read more]one occassion which made for a great half-day activity. The downtown area is very safe with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Lastly, the weather was absolutely perfect. We came in late April/early May and it was cooler in the mornings and evenings but warm/hot in the sun during the day. I think I only saw a handful of clouds in the sky in the entire seven day duration of our trip. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning to Cabo in the near future!

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: Not a 5 star resort.

Grounds great. Rooms and restaurants look very cheap/ Ex beds do not have cover. Restaurants look like you are at fast food court..... Most of the restaurants staff do not speak English. Waiting for food is too long.... The staff at Finest Playa Mujeres have a LOT to learn from Excellence Playa Mujeres and The Beloved

Grand Palladium Riviera Resort And Spa: Beautiful resort!

We loved our stay! We were a party of nine - including 5 adults, two kids, and two babies. Great food, great service. Friendly staff. The hotel and grounds were clean and well maintained. No complaints!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: The place to go to relax!!

This resort is immaculately clean, well maintained and provides friendly and helpful services in every department. Staff are friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and memorable.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great resort

Well, more positives than negatives. We took the adult package (building #2 on the 7th floor) which was very beautiful, convenient, relaxing and accommodating. In the adult facilities, regular staff was amazing, watch for Jose, in the 8th floor adult lounge, Erik at the adult pool bar, Hector at the adult section lunch and dinner buffet and Alexis and Carlos at the adult breakfast buffet. The buffet was the only disappointing feature. For non themed regular buffet, the selection was not that great for lunch and dinner. Lots of stew type dishes with the very basic proteins that were a little bland and not too imaginative and unlike other resorts a noticeable lack of seafood other than the basic white fish. Themed and breakfast were good in the buffet, Italian, Mexican, salad bar and a snack station. The ala carts are the best bet, which we discovered after the second day, French (best), Italian, steakhouse, and Mexican, all were very good. The bars, other than the adult, seemed to be a little short staffed as they were trying to keep up with the orders which in turn caused some delays. Overall I would recommend this resort for couples like us or even families as it seemed that there was enough entertainment and activities for children.
