Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort!

Good rooms, decent food, beautiful grounds, fantastic staff, the gym needs some work a couple of broken machines and the floor is slippery. The a la cartes are good, avoid the Gourmet (not that great), Mediterranean is really good and the Hibatchi was one of the best I've ever had!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Akumal did not disappoint !!

Everything was perfect starting with our booking with Carole Williams from trip central who made it flawless for us , check in was less then 15 min. greeted with sparkling wine. This being our second time to Akumal we really enjoyed upgrading to the adults section where the rooms come with a huge whirlpool tub ,adults only infinity pool overseeing the ocean. Beaches are absolutely amazing , the man made barriers made for calm waters no matter what the conditions were , snorkeling was an every d [... read more]ay excursion we didn't half to pay for as the fish are everywhere ( keep a piece of bread from the buffet the fish eat out of your hands ) They host shows every night which are top notch . We played tennis every morning and beach volley ball throughout the day. Food from the buffet was good with a great variety , the A la cartes are second to none and plentiful as you have access to there 3 sister resorts . We were able to book 9 different A la cartes on our 10 day vacation ( Don Pablo restaurant at Tullum was buy fare the best ) We even spent a couple hours cooling off and had a couple drink at there casino while playing 3 card poker ( won $ 200 bucks lol ) There are to many perks to list but here are our top ones . 24 hour room service , free shuttles to anywhere of the 4 resorts every 10 min , 3 beach bars , beach alcohol servers ( no waiting in line ) adults only infinity pool with a private bar , adults only restaurants and Ala cartes . The one thing i would change if i could would be the room temperature is not cool enough at night ( temps. are preset at 22 degrees )

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic Resort

Very beautiful and clean resort. Having access to the 3 other resorts on the Bahia Principe grounds is a bonus. The only negative is that the resort does not allow the rooms to go lower that 22 degrees which was uncomfortable to sleep in.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great resort

For a couple in there 50's wanting a week of sun, food, drinks and beach, this was perfect. The food was great, lots to choose from. The beach, no seaweed, no rocks, and you can walk forever on either side. The resort has a great layout, lobby, pool, and ocean are basically near each other. The rooms are nice too, no issues and no bugs. We want to go back again, we prefer Samana over Punta Cana.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Everything was fine

The resort was clean, rooms and grounds. It was a very large resort so you waste a lot of time walking or waiting for a golf cart to take you where you need to go. It was a fun atmosphere at the pool, but not very relaxing because staff were constantly walking around trying to get you to buy a massage or a tattoo, and music was constantly playing. The food wasn't amazing but there was nothing wrong with it either. Nothing fantastic but no complaints either.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort!

Having stayed at the Bahia Punta Cana before, this was our first time staying at Esmeralda. What a nice change, the place definitely has a classier feel to it, lounge chairs are all clean and creamy white. The place has a more intimate feel compared to other parts of the Bahia. The trend continues on the beach area as well with less people and more availability of seating. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Fabulous Vacation

Wonderful resort, beach, food was great & room was lovely! Zero complaints. So happy I chose this beautiful paradise. We walked to the local town and felt safe. Lovely exotic beach and breathtaking warm water surrounded by coral reefs. Great snorkelling off beach. Great for families, couples and seniors.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Upgrade to the Ambar

I would suggest if you are looking for a real 5 star resort to upgrade to the Ambar. Most photos on the travel websites are actually of the Ambar, which the security guards will not let you to walk around if they see your different colour bracelets. We first checked into the aquamarine and the ceiling in our room visibly cracked was leaking water, no shower curtain so the washroom was soaking wet after a show. As we have stayed at Ambar prior we decided to upgrade at this point, the difference between food, service, drinks is unimaginable. We would never stay at Aquamarine again, I would say it is equivalent to a 3 1/2-4 star hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice Resort

This was a beautiful resort. The beach was amazing, and there were always lounge chairs available at the beach and around the pool. The food was good. The staff was great. The entertainment was okay, could have been better. Would definately go to this resort again.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great Vacation

The only disappointment was the fact that the hotel did not recognize our past visits to Grande Bahia resorts. I guess this will make us reconsider our loyalty in using these resorts only when we have travel.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic Vacation

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the BP SK. For us we found the place relaxing and very enjoyable. Keep in mind that this resort is not for everyone. The resort is located away from the beach and you have to take a trolly to the beach. No big deal for us. We found it relaxing to return to the quiet after a day on the beach. The Beach is fantastic and there is no reserving of chairs. We never has a problem finding a decent spot no matter what time we arrived. The rooms are a little  [... read more]tired and dated and could use a refresh but the room was very clean. The service and the people are what make this place great. All the staff work very hard to tend to your every need. The food is very good. Never had a bad meal at any of the restaurants or the buffet. We did eat at the buffet at the Ackumal while on the beach and had mixed experiences. It was very busy all the time and they kept running out of things and were not quick to replace them. Overall if you are looking for a budget friendly, nice clean resort where the service fantastic, this place will deliver. We will return.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: The ultimate vacation spot!

The resort is beautiful! The food is amazing. I think I gained 10lbs after only being there for 7 days! The staff are super friendly and welcoming and you will probably pick up a bit of Spanish during your stay! lol The excursions were planned well and a ton of fun - we went on the party boat and dune buggy tour of Macao. I highly recommend them both as they were a really good time. I am making plans to come back again next year!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Not a golfer, but this was a hole-in-FUN

Well, technically it was relaxing than fun, but gotta love the wordplay :) On the plus side, it was beautiful, well serviced, food was good, and the entertainment was surprisingly quite talented. The silent disco was definitely a highlight. And the rooftop Jacuzzi was well worth the extra cost. Never an issue getting a chair at the pool (on the adult only side) although this was apparently low-season. On the downside, the website/app didn't always have the correct info about the entertainment/location, and with the trams/golf cart routes take a bit of getting used to, we missed the Circus show :( This issue is also compounded by the booking of the a la carte restaurants, which if you book when you get there, you're already too late. We could only get essentially the 5:30 or 9:30. TIP - Book these before getting there. Or if you have a late booking, show up early to see if it's possible to start earlier (might be no shows, etc.)

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great vacation

The drive to the hotel was long (over an hour) but we would do it again because we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. This hotel is huge but very well laid out with areas for adults, families and kids. Although the hotel was overbooked, it did not seem crowded. There were plenty of chairs around the pool and on the beach, both in the shade and the sun. The beach was sandy and the water clean. The food was very good overall. We found the choice of cocktails somewhat limited. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the entertainment. The weather was fantastic (hot and windy) everyday. We had a great week!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Incredible

I thought everything was amazing the staff was so nice, the food was great, the restaurants were so easy to book. The grounds themselves were so very easy to figure out, the pool and pool bar were very nice and well maintained and the beach was just a one minute walk away my only complaint is I wasn’t there for longer!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Quaint resort charm on a big resort

Loved the small feel of the adults only resort (Sian Kaan) Can feel quite over whelming if you venture out to see the other connected resorts Everything is connected via shuttles, about 10 different lines

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Very good

My opinion. Very good food entertainment, beautiful grounds. Nice guests. Ac a bit warm but a lovely view. Staff in dinning rooms and buffet fantastic. Sunset grill needs a bit refinement but ok. Beach is fun! My only negative comment is that the bartenders could be a little more curtious. Ya mon. All good. Irie mon.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Loved this resort

Food was great, staff amazing and looked after every need. Resort was spotless, only draw back from trip was experience at the airport, from the time we landed until we got to resort was 4 hours and had to pay $5 per beer on the bus while we were waiting for people to get through the automated system. Will definitely make me think twice about going back to Jamaica

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing vacation!

This was our 3rd time to the GBP Tulum. Everything was just as good as we remembered. The pools and beach have plenty of loungers. The grounds are impeccably kept. The staff are so friendly. Our room was cleaned 1st thing each morning. The food was delicious and plenty to choose from at the buffet. My hubby is a picky eater so when he says he likes the food you know it’s good. We can’t wait to go back again next year!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bahia customer service could use some improvement.

The resort is quite large so you need to use their tram system if you want to go to the beach or to your room from the main building. Food is very good and in abundance. Resort is lovely and clean. With the exception of the maids who cleaned our room; the staff only do the minimum that's expected of them. Customer service is not their forte. Information is very difficult to receive as staff is not knowledgeable of what's going on in the resort.
