Valentin Perla Blanca: Disappointed!!!

Love the beach, beside that not a place I would ever go back too. They are rated 4 stars!!! HOW who rate this?? We went for 7 day May 4- May 11. Wasn't a happy camper at all. We skip breakfeast and lunch most day nothing to eat, no bread no eggs just shortage of something. No have that's what the response was from the workers. Never ever I would pay what I did to go and starve and be short on anything. Yes I know Cuba isn't a place for Food but still never like this. I wont recommend this place  [... read more]to anyone.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic Beach!

Hotel was very clean: room, pool and beach were well taken care of. Food was ok. Hotel staff was friendly. Beach was beautiful. Water was green and blue. Had a lot of cabanas to escape the sun. Nightly entertainment was good.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing vacation!

This resort is the best I've ever been to in Cuba. The food is of course not fine dining but the good drinks and service make up for it. The beach has sand as soft as baby powder and they will bring your drink to your beach chair as well as beach snacks. You never have to get up. Butler service is very helpful and everyone was friendly.

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Planning our return already!

The resort was excellent. The people who worked there were polite, courteous, helpful which made our stay even better. Only one complaint, fix the card readers on the room doors. We went through at least 5. Recommend this resort highly

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Seamless

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Better than expected

I titled the review this way because I had read alot of negative reviews but they were unwarranted.The resort is new,rooms are nice and beach although some shells in the sand was great.The beach you could walk for miles and no sinking,the water was always calm because of its location.The food although repeated was good,and the ala cartes were great.The workers were some of the nicest we have ever met in our years of travel.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Good resort

The resort was very nice and the rooms were quite nice. We had a bit of trouble with keys not working and it was around 30-40 mins to get that fixed. Beaches are incredible and the food was alright. Service was good depending on which snack bar you went to.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful trip

The hotel is a nice small property that was only minutes away from everything. The resort was always clean. Service was great. The beach had a numerous amount of shade. The pools had a decent amount of seating but at peak times it might be a little challenging getting a spot. Our only complaint was the small selection in the buffet compared with other resorts we have gone to. Having said this the snack bar was one of the best we have had. Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Never Again

First the pros: the resort was lovely. Well laid out and easy to maneuver around. It sits on a lovely private beach. The resort was clean and well maintained. The cons: the food, and the selection at the buffet, were the worst of all trips I have taken to Cuba. It was lacking in a lot of areas. It was hit and miss with the wait staff. The staff, particularly in the bar area, left me wondering most times if I was invisible. Not a busy time at the resort but wait times were ridiculous. Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Challenging Resort

This was my fifth trip to Cuba, I know what to expect when travelling there. The resort was absolutely beautiful, the grounds were beautiful, the beach was amazing, room was as expected. Unfortunately the food was the absolute worst in all of my trips south. I would not recommend this resort unless you want to eat vegetarian for the week. No pasta, no pizza, no bread, rarely any fish. Eating really was a challenge.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Quiet resort and wonderful beaches

This was our 4th visit to this resort and I have to admit that the resort is in need of lots of upgrades. None of the water features such as fountains and pools were not working, but the landscaping was beautiful and lush. The lighting in some areas was poor making it a bit dangerous walking along the walkways at night. With the American embargo being in place and being in the path of hurricanes, one can understand the slow progress of renos and the lack of some food items. Valentin Perla Blanca: A bad resort.This is not 4.5 stars ,but a maximum of 2.5-3 stars

I do not recommend to choose Valentin Perla Blanca for rest. Rested there from 12 to 26 April 2016.This is not 4.5 stars ,but a maximum of 3. The local phone in the rooms does not work. The computer doesn't work. It is not always possible to connect to the Internet via the card. Restaurant and kitchen for so many people are small and always full of people. There is no shop and pharmacy.The beach is very dirty. Sun loungers on the beach is not enough, although full in stock. Almost one gangway to [... read more] the beach and those are broken.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Best Time EVER

Myself, my husband and another couple stayed here for 5 days in April and had an amazing time!!!!! Beaches were absolutely beautiful and staff was so friendly and helpful. We had 2 butlers during our stay.....Yohena and Daily and I must say these two ladies made our entire trip!!!! We never had to worry about anything and they were always on top of EVERYTHING. Remembered all our drinks after the 1st day and made great recommendations when we wanted to switch [... read more] it up....I would definitely recommend this resort and if you can request specific butlers I promise Yohena and Daily won’t let you down!!!! Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Very nice resort

The grounds were very well maintained. The staff really friendly and helpful. We loved the beach, lots of palapas. We also like the pool but would have liked more shade. The food at the buffet for Cuba was pretty good, except only 2 à la carte. We liked our room, had a great maid Leidy Laura. The corridor could have been cleaned more and an issue with the towels, not that great for a new resort. The drinks were great,loved the quietness & staff. Would go eventually back.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Not what I was expecting!!!

Had one incident with the waitress that refused to provide us with a clean table to sit at for breakfast. There was not a lot of people left at the time but for whatever reason it was none of the tables were cleaned for us to sit at. We asked one waitress (Gracie) to please clean table while we go to the buffet to grab our breakfast. After a 20-25 minute wait to get just some omelets (with no veggie available to put in only ham and sausage) made we come back to find that the table has not bee [... read more]n touched. So we proceeded to sit at the only table now that was clean but it of course was the PRIVELGE ONLY table. She quickly came to inform us that we could NOT sit there but we refused to move. Then when one of the other waiters came to offer juice and coffee, she yelled over at them and order them not to serve us. So we were denied all service. After that we never ate at the buffet. They were out of a lot of things periodically (bread, juices, hamburgers, rice)(no face clothes even). Wi-fi was very poor, always cutting out. The location of the resort is very isolated. The resort was nothing that we were expecting. Most of the people are very friendly and accommodating.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing beach

Overall this resort was ok but wouldn’t return. Beach is amazing but the resort and staff have a way to go if you want to feel really comfortable and welcome. Pool is just ok and food is blah at best. The grounds are maintained very nicely so if you appreciate flowers and greenery you’ll enjoy this resort.

Valentin Perla Blanca: A great time

It is what you make it .... don’t have high expectations on the food and all will be good ! Lovely staff and people on Resort - I enjoyed my stay ! The weather was fantastic and met some great friends . Traveled alone for the first time and I felt very safe ! And would do it again , in a heartbeat

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Terrible Resort

We didn’t have any water for a few days and when we did there wasn’t any hot water. Multiple high value items stolen from rooms and was reported but staff didn’t seem to care. Rooms were locked at all times.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Cuba’s finest gem

Hotel has very friendly staff. The beach was clean, two pools offer activities and relaxation. Hotel clean. Food was typical Cuba food. Entertainment had a good variety for everyone. Very close to many tourist attractions, however long bus ride to airport.

Melia Buenavista: Nice Resort, Nice Friendly Staff.

A beautiful spot for sure and our room was excellent except the first day we were greeted by a large cockroach which I informed the front desk about. Nothing was done except they took the info. No more after that. The beaches and the coral were nice but a little rough water and the sand was a bit rough on the feet compared to other beaches in Cuba. All the dinners were ala carte. The trip from the Santa Clara airport to Melia Beunavista was really long..our butts were real sore. ;-) One thing is we will never travel Sunwing again. We had a very bad experience all the way from Ottawa to Holguin where we had to make a stop before Santa Clara. Parents did not care at all that their two kids were literally kicking, banging our seats behind us, even grabbed my arm twice. When we got to the resort we wanted to make sure we were not seated close to this dysfunctional family on the way back home and we contacted Sunwing and they did nothing at all. Three days of worry while we were trying to enjoy the resort until we realized we the customer would have to look after this ourselves at the Santa Clara airport, which we did and got our seats changed. Flown a lot and this has never happened before. But the resort was lovely for sure.
