Riu Caribe Cancun: Unforgettable Vacation!!

Our family of 8 just returned from an incredible trip to the Riu Palace Penninsula Cancun. We travel often and have experienced many different hotels in Mexico but this hotel is now our most favourable! The hotel was immaculately kept clean and all staff were exceptional and very professional. All staff truly went above and beyond to help make our vacation unforgettable. My son and I have gluten and dairy allergies and upon speaking the chef on the first day, they prepared special gluten free pa [... read more]ncakes and pasta for us each day! Riu Dunamar: Riu Dunimar - Beautiful Resort

Resort was absolutely beautiful, new and fresh and modern. Service/staff were amazing, friendly and always happy and smiling. Food quality was the best we've ever experienced. Negatives: no coffee maker in room (which was huge for me). No slippers/robes in the room. No room service available at this resort. Not enough chairs around the pools, had to get up before six am to save chairs (which you are not supposed to do, but everyone did), some guests saved chairs and never came back to use [... read more] them. Beach was not well maintained with tons of seaweed that is just left. This resort is a new development, north of Cancun and we felt very secluded. It felt odd to have no where to go, which resulted in great RnR.

Sun Palace Hotel: Perfect balance vacation

Sunpalace is sophisticated but simplistic at the same time. Buffet is not Hugh like other resorts However the quality of the food is superior. The Italian restaurant amazing. Salmon, egg plant Parmesan, rack of lamb, deserts, out of this world. The oriental does sushi, Thai rolls, Pad Thai well. The snack bar provides great quality snack food, wings, tacos, falafel ( yummy). The beach (wavy)and pool are outstanding. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Did not make it to the place.

We had to cancel our trip. Due to a medical emergency . I hope that the place will be good for people that will spend their vacation there. Trip central staff have been helpful in order to help us cancel our vacation. Next vacation I will book with them again.

Temptation Resort & Spa: A great experience!

The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. I really liked the shower! The food was delicious and I liked that we had access to food most (maybe all?) Of the time. Service was great!!! Everyone was so helpful, and nice! I really enjoy that there was a good mixture of party atmosphere and quiet. The DJ and music was always great! And I enjoyed the variety of music and different themes. It was a great experience.

Grand Oasis Palm: 5 stars, not so sure

You canno do reservations in advance for a la carte dinner and have to do line ups the same day to reserve a spot, if lucky ! You have to wait in line for a table and then line up for buffet .... not a good experience waiting that much to have a meal during vacations. Accommodations are good for a 5 stars hotel.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Yet another wonderful trip at this resort!

This is my second time staying at Excellence Playa Mujeres. I went last year on a mother daughter trip and we had an amazing time. This year I came with my boyfriend and he was absolutely blown away by how great everything was. Wonderful rooms (particularly love the shower and the jacuzzi), can't go wrong with a soothing turn down service either. Immaculate grounds and pools- I like how the pools are refreshing. Great food, loved having the fresh pizza's on the beach, highly recommend the Italia [... read more]n, French and Indian restaurants. Surprisingly good bloody caesars! I wish we could go back tomorrow!

Grand Oasis Palm: Great resort for families with young kids

hotel is great and perfect for kids - not your party resort amenities was a bit dated but not bad for the price we paid Don't overlook the baby club - there is a hidden area for younger kids need to venture out for shops and retails, but do create a quieter setting

Grand Oasis Cancun: Was not so happy with resort

I was not happy with the hotel as it did not have 24/7 drinking bars nor did my room have a safe. Although julia from trip central helped me out A lot and made things very easy. Although I booked a early trip back because the hotel was very bad. And very bad service. I had to wait 20mins to get a drink. At a bar.

Riu Dunamar: Fantastic resort

The Riu Dunamar exceeded all my expectations, the room was large with everything I would expect and more. The grounds were clean, well maintained with lots of beautiful shrubs, flowers, trees. The water slides were fantastic, and it was great that there were 2 levels of slides available, a separate water slide for little ones and a bigger one for big kids of all ages. The food and service was amazing, no complaints at all.

Grand Oasis Cancun: The Grand Oasis

The trip was fun, and the beach and pools were very good for partying with friends. Would recommend this place for groups of friends in their 20's/30's. Definitely would not recommend this resort for children. Also, be warned that if you go and you are under 25 you will get charged $30 USD as soon as you walk in without being warned. Also, you are expected to tip everywhere you go despite that its an all inclusive, and water is a very scarce resource. You get 1 bottle of water each day on t [... read more]he resort but if you want more than that you pretty much have to beg. There is a convenience store across the street that sells it.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Grand oasis

1- Non refundable 30 dollar insurance fee upon arrival which was never indicated to us. 2- Limited to a select few restaurants and activities without vip black wrist band which was not specified when buying the all inclusive package. 3-limited to 1 bottle of water a day and could not buy or find any bottled water on the resort. Had to go off resort to buy water. 4-food made our party sick and was very limited. The Italian restaurant was the only good spot and Gregorio the server wa [... read more]s excellent. 5-servers/bartenders demanded tips for everything or would not serve you. Overall, we enjoyed our stay due to the pool bar, beach and nightlife. I would hardly call this resort an all inclusive based on points specified above.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Great Vacation

First visit back since renovation and we loved it!! Had 3 couples with us and everyone was happy with the resort. Quick and easy check-in, rooms were clean, amazing food and fun atmosphere!! We will continue to visit!

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: The Best Ever

The resort was beautiful including our room which was amazing. Very peaceful atmosphere. The staff were exceptional as there was nothing they could not do for us. The two restaurants which we dined at served food which was comparable to cruise cuisine. There were also great views of the beach and ocean from these restaurants. Overall, an amazing vacation!

Occidental Costa Cancun: Good for the money

We found this resort last minute for a cheap price. The resort was clean. The food was good. The beach was small. Only 1 pool. Some of the music played was not appropriate for children. We had a late pick up on our last day (5:25pm) and were told we could not eat or drink past 1pm. We also found the service very lacking on our last day at lunch so we didn't leave a tip at that meal.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Horrible!

Rooms were disasters. No blankets, terrible service. Not clean. Mini fridge didn’t work. Party resort for sure, but still should be held to standard. Food was decent only at the steak house but the buffets were absolutely terrible.

Grand Oasis Palm: Family friendly

The resort was nice and very family friendly. There should be an adult zone in the pool bar area. Didn't like how you book the al a carte and not enough staff to work the bars. Standing in lines is not fun when your on holidays. Resort was clean and well maintained. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Excellent

New renos are great. Food was top notch. Party atmosphere was great. Can join in the games or watch from afar. A relaxing place to recharge. Cant wait til we return. Service was top notch. Drinks were great with lots of brand choice.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Poorly Run Resort

Stayed here during mid march and was very disappointed with my stay. The staff here for the most part lack any kind of customer service - unless you are female or tipping they will not serve you. One instance at a pool bar the bartender refused to serve me as I wouldn't give him my hat. The only staff who were truly a pleasure to deal with were the ones working in the coffee shops. The food here is beyond disgusting and lacks any kind of quality/care. The meat is low quality (when it is actua [... read more]lly cooked) and the rest of the buffet food looks and tastes like its 5 days old. The a la cart restaurants are just serving the same buffet food on a plate and the staff at these restaurants are also tip demanding and lack any care for their job. The resort is full of 20 year old "dudes" running wild drinking four loco and cause mayhem at all hours of the day and night. The staff at the hotel also have many extra fees including wifi, safe and will even try to say you damaged a hotel room (as they did with me on my first day of checking in). I was accused of damaging a door that was made of scrap wood and after demanding to speak with the manager, it was determined that the scrap wood used was not cut straight and the door was not damaged but just had a gap in it (not a crack) The best part about this resort was the beach and being able to get a chair at the pool or beach anytime of the day. I would not recommend traveling to this resort.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: exceeded expectations

Secrets, The Vine, Cancun lived up to their claim of "unlimited Luxury". This resort and trip was first class all the way. Our hotel transfer from the airport was seamless and did not take long. They were very organized at the airport and we were connected with the transfer company quickly. The drive was direct to our hotel and took only about 20 minutes. We were greeted as we arrived and taken to check in. We received a glass of champagne on arrival. The check in was handled well with informat [... read more]ion clearly explained. The bell hop took our bags and on the way to the elevator, we met a representative for V.I.P services (beware). The rep tells you he wants to explain the room credit ($200.00 USD) you received for staying there, which he does, but then proceeds to tell you of a further $400.00 USD you can receive and how it can be used. In the cryptic explanation we discovered that to earn this extra credit we had to endure a breakfast meeting with a rep who would explain the "packages" that they offer for long term commitment to their brand. We declined to persistent, but very polite attempts to get us to meet. Anyway, that is a part of their deal so we were persistent in declining as we didn't really have any interest in that, so don't know if its a good deal or not. We went to our room which was quiet nice in its appointments but was simply a king bed suite. Basic, but quite nice and all we needed. This was the "room of the day, run of the house" deal that saved us over $1000 overall. In speaking with guests who stayed in the preferred levels, they didn't seem to have benefits over and above ours that we felt would have been worth the extra money, although we could have upgraded if we wanted to. The resort is spotless, the staff are excellent, and we developed fun relationships with bartenders and servers in both restaurants and bar service areas, like the pool area, and various bars and lounges inside the resort There were may options and different types of food available. The resort is dedicated to make it a resort where you can relax, enjoy fun times, but it is definitely NOT a party resort and if anyone gets a bit loud or boisterous, staff are quick to address it. They also follow some reasonable guidelines where they can restrict a patrons alcohol intake if it seems that they are getting drunk and out of control. We liked this and felt comfortable knowing that staff watched for this. Security at the resort from what we saw, is second to none. There are staff at the entrance to the front gate, and at the stairway to the beat who take your name and room number, and check it against the master list they are given. It is unlikely that people who don't belong there can get in to the grounds easily. Security also monitors the halls, making sure doors are not left open. We didn't realize that the door handle required and extra action to ensure it closed, and security came to our door to explain that they had found our door unlocked, which was good, but we hadn't been told about this when the bell hop brought us to the room. There are plenty of good lounge chairs, and an abundance of pool towels so you don't ever run out. Great vacation and we loved it.
