Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Average, not what I expected for the money.
Although I did not eat at any of the restaurants, I heard they were excellent. The buffet was very good, but the beverage service for morning coffee was hit and miss. The hotel is getting a little worn down and should be a 4 star at best.
Impressive Punta Cana: Impressive punta cana
Spent a week at this wonderful resort. Very clean - the rooms the grounds all public washrooms well kept. The staff were absolutely great. With a group of 10, we were called the "Famalia", our dining tables were put together when they saw us coming. It almost like the staff were fighting over who was going to take care of us. Any issues or minor problems were dealt with right away. Our bar staff were awesome especially Freddie at the beach bar and Victor at the lobby bar. There was entertainment [... read more]
Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort
The Grand Palladium Punta Cana was a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. There was not one negative thing I could say about the entire experience. A special shout out to Edwin and Constantino at the sports facility that made our Pickleball experience very rewarding. We hope to return again next year. Muchas Gracais!
Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Excellent Resort
Majestic Mirage was an excellent resort . It’s big but very walkable and flat. The staff are excellent, pleasant and wanting to please. The food was very good. The al a cartes were wonderful, never had to make reservations ( other than the Japanese) and never had to wait longer than half an hour for a table. The buffet had a variety of food. It did get somewhat tiresome by end of week but most do. Overall there would be something for everyone. The daily barbecue on the beach was a great lunch op [... read more]
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Dollar for Dollar one of the worst resorts in the Carribean
This may very well be my 20th, maybe more, All-Inclusive Resort I have been to... by far the worst (dollar for dollar). Even Lower End Cayo Coco, Cuba trips, which costs, a third of this "Hyatt" are better, All Around. I've learned my lesson, and - unfortunately - Dominican Republic has left a sour taste in my mouth.
Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful Resort
We had 2 weeks of nothing short of living in paradise. The Majesty Mirage was clean , friendly staff, excellent food and service was great. Our butler Yordy Cedeno was the best one could ask for as he took care of everything each day. Noemi at at the Italian restaurant and the Seaside restaurant at lunch was awesome. Also ANNA Marie at the Japanese restaurant and Market Place restaurant was awesome as well. All staff made you feel welcome and provided excellent service. Outstanding maid servi [... read more]
Occidental Caribe: Great beach resort
The ground, the pools were fine. Overall rm toilet only flushed when there was something heavier than toilet paper. The shower never did get hot for both of us. Took ages to even warm up. There were black marks all over mirror which was indicative of perhaps mold behind it. The toilet roll holder was broken and the bidet unusable. The housekeeping staff and dietary staff were wonderful. As a good fruit was very limited and food was OK.
Blue Bay Villas Doradas: A fairly good resort
The grounds are beautiful. The walkways are not Conducive for wheelchairs. If you need a wheel chair do not go to this resort. Food is good in the buffet, but big line-ups for dinner. Beach club food is pretty awful. Rooms are very basic, not 3 star. However you only sleep in the room. Blue Bay Villas is strictly a resort. Doesn’t appear to be any local sightseeing there. The staff are very friendly. Some parts of the resort are tired and need renovating.
Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Honest Review
We werent able to get the Junior Suites at Cofresi this time which were spacious, new and clean rooms with modern amenities, large showers, etc The standard rooms we had to take as nothing else available were in Serious need of upgrade-rooms were small shower head hanging off, mold, bathroom window crank window broken so couldnt close very old and not well kept was super disappointing as we had our adult children and friends with us-also to note with not being in a Junior Suite does not allow u a [... read more]
VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Gran Ventana Beach Resort
Grounds are well maintained, always able to find lounge chairs on the beach by moving to the perimeter of their beachfront. Unfortunately around the main pool many of the lounge chairs are saved by hotel guests early every morning with towels and other personal items. The Gran Ventana staff will occasionally remove the towels on chairs early just before 8 am on some days. Rooms, pool areas, hallways are cleaned daily. The Fitness room door was supposed to open each morning at 7 am, unfortunately [... read more]
Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Incredible stay!!
10/10. Everything was amazing. Swim out room highly recommended. Food, grounds, staff all fantastic. Lazy river such a bonus. Incredible beach always able to find a spot with help from the beach staff.
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great Resort
This was our first time at this resort. The grounds are immaculate. The location is perfect, very private. It is a nice walk to Amber cove where you can watch the cruise ships coming and going. It's not a big resort which is what we like. The amenities at Playa Bachata resort are also nice. We were in a luxury Jr suite ocean view room. A couple of times we had no hot water, but it wasn't a big deal. Housekeeping does a great job at cleaning the rooms. We left a note in the mini bar for extra wat [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Alright, But Won't Return
It was an alright place, but not worth the five-star price tag. My least favourite part of the experience was by-far the food. I found the buffet options very limited, and during my stay, I ended up with some digestion issues from some of the fish. Eventually I just played it safe and stuck with plain foods (e.g., toast and jam). I didn't enjoy any of the la carte restaurants; they took too long, portions were very small, and it wasn't that good. Pools were more for socalizing rather than actual [... read more]
Riu Palace Bavaro: nice resort
The resort was very well layed out and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beach was beautiful. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Most of the food was cold and deep fried.
Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Disappointed
Had a good time but to many cons Pool was dirty and the pool deck Service No alcohol in rooms Entertainment not great Husband lost his phone and nobody seemed to be concerned Overall we had a pleasant stay. Japanese and steakhouse restaurants were very good but didn't like the fact that we had to eat at 6pm, we felt very rushed Housekeeping was great they always did something special in our room!
Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Amazing resort
Absolutely our favourite all inclusive resort and beach we’ve experienced! We loved it! The service and food were amazing. Huge beautiful suite with a lovely deck. Palm trees and pristine beach and grounds. It was a truly relaxing vacation as the staff was not pushy but attentive. Highly recommend this resort in Punta Cana.
Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing place
This hotel was great , Very large but you don't feel crowded. Many activities Golf, pickleball, tennis, Beach and pools are beautiful. Staff very helpful rooms are clean and spacious. Many choices of places on site to eat. Casino and sports Bar, Spa is great and shows are entertaining
Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Nice quaint resort
The resort was nice and great staff. All very friendly and helpful. Our room wasn’t very big and little run down but for sleeping it was fine. Food was really good and you had 4 nice a la carts to pick from for dinner that were really good. Resort wasn’t too big but we liked that future and beach was very clean and beautiful. Tons of space at the beach to enjoy. Even the beach bar/restaurant was really good with stone cooked pizza’s. I give this resort 4 out of 5 and would go back to it.
Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Very nice resort
We had good service. Great place for family. Transportation on the site was easy and always present, it is a big site. The personnel was very kind but many speaks only Spanish, the others speaks English, French and Spanish. Big room, big pool and a the beach is awesome and very long, with a restaurant and bar at the beach.
Riu Palace Bavaro: Very nice resort
Well layed out resort. Staff are very friendly. Beach is beautiful and well maintained. The food however, is much to be desired. We have stayed at Riu's in other countries where the food was excellent and this one did not stand up to those standards.
