the first think we wait a lot of hour for our room and front desk was not realy amical they did not said to us we did not have a frigde in our room the food was realy bad it's us who bring money there they should thinking to give us sometime some change in food and have hot food not cold and they don't have very activiter either for me if nothing change their it's not me I will talk to about this place toi my friends

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Wonderful place!

Amazing beach. Very nice and worm personnel. Some rooms are renovated, some are old, but everything is very clean. Meals are ok, nothing fancy, but everyone will find something on his taste. Activities every day.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Awesome Resort

I like the most is the swimming pool and friendly staffs. This is my 2nd trip to Holguin to Playa Holguin. The beach is not so bad. The catamaran service is amazing and the bar, food are awesome in the beach. Also, Playa Memories half way to Guardalavaca town.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Very Disappointed

This was my 5th time at this resort and I was very disappointed the hotel is going downhill...There was a shortage of flour so we had little to none of bread the food in the buffet was the same every night except for one night there was only 2 days out of the week that there was hot water to shower..There were problems with lighting around the resort that was very concerning because there are alot of stairs there and there were alot of elderly people there. Sol Turquesa Beach: Fantastic service, amazing staff!

Although the rooms were a little dated, everything was very clean, staff were friendly and we had an amazing time. Lots of stairs to the lobby though, so if you have mobility issues may not be the best for you. The food was also really good!

Iberostar Selection Holguin: fantastic week

This hotel is new and stunning, Robert and his wife in the lobby took total care of us and provided us with every thing you could ask for, special call out to Alex and Jerge in lobby bar, and Henry and Serquey in beach bar, these people are the best, food was good, room great, really was a great holiday, would go back in a heart beat"" beach iis still on going but will be nice once all is complete""

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Not great, needs lots of improvement

We started out terribly with the standard room which the regulars call the "barracks". The smell of mould, walls torn apart, electrical wires sticking out of the wall and the very very low ceilings caused us to not even bring our bags inside but to go back to the desk and upgrade to a villa which was night and day. Food was very hit and miss. Problem was there was no consistency as to what was available day to day. One day bacon, next 2 days none. There was no butter available until the 4th  [... read more]day, they instead came up with the idea of putting mayonnaise on your morning toast, not my scene but they offered something. Very repetitive food menu every single day was almost the same thing at the very small buffet. This resort layout is confusing with things scattered everywhere, it turns out it used to be 3 resorts that are now mashed together with no rhyme or reason to it now. There were restaurants that never opened, signs for things that were either not open or didnt exist anymore. A few positives: Benny's restaurant was pretty decent everytime we went, the staff there is great. The 24 hour bar near benny's was also not bad. The ocean is this resorts saving grace, as it is the most crystal clear water I have ever seen, just stunning. Expect to be bothered some by locals selling their wares. Price was cheap compared to other places, but in hindsight I should stop trying to be so cheap and pay a couple hundred more and enjoy myself.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Wonderful vacation

We stayed in the Royal section and it was well worth the extra. The staff were amazing, rooms are lovely. We found the food to be a bit disappointing, not as good as our last visit a few years ago. Entertainment in both sections was really good. Lots of loungers always available around the pool and gardens, and lots of shady spots. Lots of walking to various areas but we didn’t mind and only took the shuttle at night. Shuttles were always available. We did tip a bit but found it didn†[... read more]™t make any difference, service was always excellent. The gardens were lovely and well kept. We thought maybe more attention should be paid to lights that had broken which made walking at night a bit difficult. We will return as we loved it so much.

Playa Costa Verde: Thumbs up!!

Hotel was kept clean and staff were all friendly,our room was fair our air conditioner wasn’t the best but worked thank god. The beach was amazing and never will you not find a lounge chair a lot available.The swim up bar and bartenders were great! The food I give it a 5 out of 10 but remember it’s cuba lol. Overall it was a clean fun resort and beds were comfy.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing Resort

Was our first time there. Staff were very friendly. Food was ok. Bring own spices, peanut butter etc. Their fresh pineapple and mango juice was incredible. Hard getting hot water. Toilet paper is like gold. Make sure you carry it wherever you go...lol. Pools are nice, grounds very clean and beaches are very nice. Rooms need updated. Villas are nice. We would definitely go back again.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: ‘What we have today’ resort - not ‘all-inclusive’

The Standard Rooms should be health checked for mold - these rooms are nicknamed the barracks (low ceilings, holes in the wall). Was not expecting a fancy room but definitely clean and safe (patio doors were screwed shut). Upgrade (reception was not surprised at the request) provided with cash only - no receipt. Menus were falling apart (where available) and outdated (many items listed were not available). Worst of all no mojitos available!?! Authentic Pina coladas were found just outside the re [... read more]sort for a fee. ‘Extra fees’ amounted to the cost of a higher rated resort. BEAUTIFUL beach- warm and courteous food servers & room cleaners.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Nice resort

This is the second time we stayed at this resort. Very good location, excellent beach, well-kept grounds, friendly service. Good size rooms. Good food (by Cuban standards). Nightly entertainment - a couple of shows were really good. Downside - really hard to rent a car or even a scooter, unless pre-arranged during the booking. Would likely come again.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Home away from home

Club amigo Holguin Cuba. Love this resort. Which is actually four separate area resorts built into one. They have a main hotel standard room bungalows and villas. Along with three buffet restaurants and about Five al a carte restaurants along with 24 hour bar and two snack bars four pools throughout the resort. To use depending on whether you want a quiet morning or more lively swim up bar entertainment. The hotels beaches are beautiful. Rooms vary from section to section and will p,ease everyon [... read more]e. This is an economical resort. Where the staff treat you exceptionally well and remember guests from visit to visit. Grounds are spread out and lovely for afternoon walks. Food is getting better but really depends on what resort can obtain. Food presentation has improved quite a bit in last few years. Entertainment is everywhere. You will love this resort whether you are a couple or family or group of girls and guys. I return to this resort often and love it

Wonderful place to go and relax. Such a friendly and safe place to go to. Have been many times and can’t wait to return to the most friendly staff that are like family. Clean rooms, grounds are always perfect. If you need anything just ask and they will do their best to provide. Best value for the money

Playa Costa Verde: Great time!!

Had a wonderful time during our stay. Hotel and staff were awesome!! Beach and pool area were great and always had chairs available. Food was better than expected. Staff was very accommodating and pleasent to deal with. We will certainly be back to this resort:)

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Everything you would want

Great resort for families, had lots of activities to keep the whole family busy. All amenities are within a 5 min walk of everything. Buffet food was good for all meals and the seafood lunch restaurant was excellent. Staff was very accommodation. Currency exchange was very convenient as it was at front desk. Evening entertainment was the best we've experienced in Cuba. Best beach so far in Cuba. Playa Pesquero: Great resort

This was our second visit to the PP. Food and drinks were quite good. If you like lobster you will have lots of opportunities to indulge at the a la carte restaurants.I would recommend the resort to anyone who understands that Cuba is not a foodie destination. You will get basic dishes at the buffet, and only the pickier eaters will complain. Fish, chicken, rice, pumpkin, eggplant, beans were the frequent choices. I encourage the hotel to stop using them completely. Tourists should consider buying a reusable metal straw in Canada to take with them , as well as a travel mug for drinks at the beach. We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful and the public areas had sufficient seating for the number of people who were there in January. People reserve loungers on the beach very early ( 7:00 a.m.) , but there were always loungers available and people would share space under the trees if they showed up later. For an interesting night, walk about 10 minutes along the road to the market on Wednesday night to check out how the young locals and tourists have a party (Carnival). It starts to come alive around 8:30 and really revs up later on. Lots of music and dancing. Go and enjoy this resort. Ignore the naysayers.

Playa Costa Verde: Beautiful Beach!

The resort was outdated, especially our room. However they kept the room, facilities and grounds very clean. The food was not the best but was expected from a Cuban resort. Our favourite was the Japanese restaurant. The pool was nice and always enough chairs for everyone. The beach was amazing, beautiful sand and snorkeling. Again, plenty of chairs!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing resort

Good quality food. Clean. Silent. Wonderful amenities. WiFi free and nod bad quality. Snorkeling equipment free. Scuba diving free. Good quality alcohol. No lines. Wooden heart crafting free. Room service (7000) is free. Only shows medium quality. All other is very nice.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca is a fabulous resort with many amenities and recreational options. 5 swimming pools, 8 restaurants, 10 bars including 24 hour. Game rooms. Tennis courts. Water sports, Bicycles, Flee market just outside resort with Cuban town within walking distance. Highly recommend this resort for a fantastic stay.
