Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Resort

The Hotel was great and very clean. The grounds were very nice and well keep up. amazing staff and lots of food to choose from.The public area such as the pool and beach were great with very friendly staff.and i would refer this resort to many others..

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Definatley Not a 5 star or even 4 star Resort

Found the rooms to be okay, however tough to get air conditioning to work and TV stopped working half way through the week, couldn't get and extra Towel or toilet paper without being interrogated . Reception Desk staff are less then excited to help with any requests. Lots of walking cause the trolleys may come if your lucky ever 30 minutes. Buffet restaurant had dead flies everywhere and tables and chairs where stained and dirty all the time. Pool and beach where the highlight but sand fleas and Mosquitos where rampant .

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: AMAZING RESORT

Resort was excellent and amazing. Some times public washrooms were short of toilet paper and/or hand soap but nonetheless did not take away from it being an amazing resort. Room was well kept and our chambermaid Yuri was out of this world. Made us feel soooo special as every time we returned to room there was a special arrangement made by her with curtains and bedspread. Spectacular, so talented. Food was good and satisfying and service as well. Again they also made us feel special.  [... read more] We sometimes even had our table waiting for us and was also sometimes decorated with a special arrangement of flowers just for us. Grounds were spectacular, sooooo tropical, beautiful and magical. Only comment would be that the lighting from rooms to main area be more well lighted (we were at 2525). Beach at Megano was BEYOND EXCELLENT. Debbie was absolutely right about its beauty and calmness. Our only critic is not enough shelter for shade, major shortage of huts. As we had to put an alarm to make sure to find a spot and the draw back with that is that you are on vacation and should not have to put alarm. Our sunset cruise excursion was also amazing, catamaran, supper and dolphin show. We loved it so much we intend on going back next year and inviting friends along with us. We also want to mention that on bus taking us to hotel they did not have English welcome brochures from Sunwing. And on bus coming back guide only spoke French.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great resort

Hotel was beautiful and everything on the resort was, the beach was beautiful and the pools were a fun time. The people were great helped every time I had a problem and the restaurant was awesome and great service. I definitely would come back.

Melia Las Dunas: Great service & beaches

Beautiful beaches and great service. A few bugs in the room and cleaning could have been done better. It's Cuba so I wasn't expecting much for the food, we survived but left hungry that's for sure. Pool and deck could have been cleaned better, along with dinning areas and lobby. WiFi was poor but we didn't care because we were on vacation.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Good

Overall this resort is a 4 star. The grounds are beautiful. The beach is gorgeous. The only thing I would say, is they kept making very hard bread, it's what they eat in the Cuban culture, however most of the guests were Canadian and from Europe, so we like a nice fresh white bun. Finally they caught on, as the Cuban bread was wasted, no one was eating it. The a la Carte restaurants were very good. Most days the buffet was very good too! Food was very tasty! Sometimes it was repetative, but not bad. There is always a lot of pasta, rice, chicken, pork, veal and fish. Those are the main staples. Sometimes there was crab, and shrimp. Hector and Ariel were awesome servers at the buffet! The pools were awesome. The shows could have been better at night. Not much class. The same thing all the time with their butts shaking... overall it was a stunning place, they just need to make a few changes to make it a 5 star. we would go back again.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Nice resort

The grounds were beautiful. Pool was clean. Staff was friendly. Not enough interaction with the guest. Food isnt the best. But its Cuba. The rooms were clean but we didnt always get towels. The housekeeper didnt clean the floors as often as he should have. The sheet were not changed for the entire week spent there.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing vacation!

Just spent a week at Sanctuary and it was amazing! The beach and pools were wonderful and so relaxing (with a great swim up bar). The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Even the food was all delicious for Cuba... LoL. But the best part was definitely the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially our butlers Zadys and Mercedes. We’ll definitely consider coming back in the future!

Valentin Perla Blanca: Exceeded Expectations

Prior to travelling, my husband and I were growing concerned about the abundance of negative reviews regarding this resort that were on the Trip Advisor website. We are not at all fussy travellers, so we prepared for the worst and hoped for the best, with the mind set of "make the best out of it" while boarding our flight. The g [... read more]rounds were beautiful and clean, always toilet paper in the public washrooms, which were also always very clean. The buffet wasnt great, but we definitely didn't go hungry. Always something to eat, even if it's just fresh fruit, pasta and bread. A la carte resturants were great, Spanish was amazing! The staff were fantastic, always friendly and very appreciative of anything you offer. The beach was gorgeous, although quite a bit of seaweed. Entertainment was fantastic. Honestly, the only complaint I would have had was a four hour bus ride to Cayo Coco to get home after a storm destroyed the Santa Maria Airport while we were there, however... the tour guide on that bus was amazing, and we were able to see many small towns that would normally be missed. So, that was no longer a complaint. Worst part about the trip, was the flights... man Air Transat has small seats! Hahaha!

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Great quiet resort

Very quiet , not too many people but all together amazing . People at the front desk should speak better English and be able to exchange cu currency to us. We had 4 different numbers given to us in a matter of 15 min.

Memories Paraiso: Memories Paraíso closed for summer

We were told the resort was closed so we were upgraded to Gran Memories. Customer Service was lacking, at times rude. Beach was beautiful! Pizza was very good at the pizza hut. Pool area smelled of raw sewage and room had a musty smell. Many safety issues, e.g. missing floor tiles, wet tiles on landings, chunks of concrete missing on walk ways, lack of evening lighting. Will not go back to Cuba, will spend the extra money and go to Mexico happily.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Terrible Resort

I found this resort one of the dirtiest resorts I have ever been too, pool area was stinky, water was cloudy. Most of the staff are crabby, service was terrible. The food was cold and tables were dirty.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Hmmm what to say

I should start and say that this isn’t my first time to Cuba, this was our fourth time we’ve stayed in many resorts ranging from three stars to five stars. The resort it’s self was beautiful the people were mostly friendly but there was just certain things that I was not impressed with for one sitting down at the buffet having dinner and staff filling plates of food and sitting at tables not far from us eating well we’re trying to eat supper, was not impressed with the À la carts we we [... read more]nt to the seafood one and was very disappointed our waitress I found to be very rude and when I ordered my meal brought up the wrong meal mistakes happen but when we told her it was the wrong meal proceeded to roll her eyes and walked away, I found a lot that Staff was always on the phones. The best part was the beach the beach bar and the beach grill was the best food, actually was probably the best food we had the entire time there. Rooms were clean but the beds were hard. Pools were Beautiful, The resort to me was a four-star but the food was a three star I know you don’t go to Cuba for the food but it could have been better. I would return to Cuba in a heartbeat but I would not stay at this resort , If you’re someone who likes to go out and look around and do lotta stuff it’s very limited on what you can do you do you have your day trips and excursions but you’re driving further distances to get to them

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Angsana...in a word "Beautiful"

We were guests of Angsana from March 12-19. Having been to Cuba many many times this was our first experience with an “Adult Only” property. At first we thought it was too quiet and wondered if this resort type was for us. The evenings were entertaining as well with live music in the lobby bar from some very talented people. As for the food, we found it to be very good. Although we didn’t use the buffet much the few times we did is was good. We found ourselves eating at the 24hr snack bar restaurant most times as the food offered on the menu there was very good! We were in the main building on the 3rd floor which had beautiful views of the pools, courtyard and ocean. The rooms are quite nice, well-appointed, large, and kept very clean by the great staff. The elevator in the lobby was very handy to get to your 3rd floor room. The beaches were very nice, clean, wide and soft white sand to walk in. Great service from both beach bars as well. We would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing Cuban vacation. With a wonderful staff and a beautiful location you cannot go wrong. Cheers Dapa81

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Some disappointments

We were excited to make this trip as friends of ours had just returned from this resort and spoke highly of it. Check in went smooth considering we were early. Our rooms were fine, no complaints there, house keeping could be better, lack of changing towels and sheets. Our first disappointment was at breakfast. We arrive to no bacon, no bread, the rolls were rock hard, can't blame the cooks, they're working with what they have. Dinner, we're surprised with lobster, steak, pasta station, however t [... read more]hey only offered meat filled pastas, but the meal was satisfactory. They then ask you to fill out a survey abiut the service and food, how coincidental. The next day we went to exchange our beach towels for clean ones, they don't have any, at 9am?? This went on for 2 more days! Then there's no beer for a day, then no draft for 2 more days. The entertainment, actually lack of, was disappointing. Always look forward to beach and pool side entertainment, they have it on a schedule, but no one does anything. The Japanese restaurant was good, the Italian was disappointing, the Mediterranean was ok. Overall, if you're looking just to get away and don't mind these announces then it's acceptable. But if you want more than just the basics, I would not recommend. I'm rating service a 5 star only because of the cooks and the waiters, Yuri was great, but not for house keeping.

Valentin Perla Blanca: You get what you pay for!

Beautiful resort and beaches. But the food is what you would expect from a Cuban resort. For the price you pay, I highly recommend this resort to have a good time. Staff is so friendly and caring, I will miss them!

The resort's pools and beach are amazing. The staff is always nice and very hardworking. The hotel lacks a few entertainment things such as a movie theater, or a game room, bike rentals, etc. But overall great resort.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic vacation.

Just returned from a perfect week at Playa Cayo Santa Maria. The room was large and beautiful. The bathroom had the biggest and deepest bath tub that I have ever experienced in over 20 years of travelling. We always had hot water, even to fill the deep tub. We ate mostly at the buffet, and have zero complaints. Ate once at the Cuban A la Carte, and the food and service was great. The beach and Ocean at Playa Cayo Santa Maria is stunning. The best part, was could always find a spo [... read more]t in the shade. The pools are large and clean. Never felt crowded once. Everyday, could get a lounger in the shade with no problem. Every experience that we had at Playa Cayo Santa Maria was positive. Everyone was always smiling am and did a great job. I would go back again.
