Memories Paraiso: Amazing beach!

This resort was beautiful, very comfortable and pleasant overall. Things that stood out was the beach (breathtakingly beautiful), The night entertainment was off the hook, they are talented at what they do (loved the Micheal Jackson tribute and the international dance show were the top ones). the entertainment team was great but Lisandra and Adrian were top notch quality people. The person that def made all this trip well worth it was the beach bartender Armando, and the burger guys (sorry I for [... read more]got their names). They gave us a 5 start treatment, I would come back just because of them. but def the overall customer service is terrible, when we got there they could not find our reservation because their system was down. the girl at the front made us feel terrible and just said oh well give you the room for one night and see when the systems come back. They did not tell us anything else, we had to figure everything out on our own and no one had the correct information. it was 50/50 the chance that you would get the right info lol. Do not come here for the food, customer service or service but come here to meet some golden human beings who truly care and love what they do. but most of all this beach is truly a dream.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Hotel needs upgrade.

I am disappointed in the Sunwing service. I received an email alert the day before my departure letting me know the quiet pool was out of service. Departure date November 17, email notice November 16. the pool had actually been closed for two weeks. It did not reopen on the Tuesday November 20 as noted in email and was still a week away from opening after I came back November 24. I would of made other arrangements knowing this. The Sunwing Rep. was not helpful at all with checkout information,  [... read more]actually was lying or totally misinformed, she did not offer extended check out or shower options for early check out, I found out more info from passengers than the actual Rep. The room did not have garden view as promised and the hotel had to change the mattress and fix the toilet. The rooms was very old and in need of repair. I am a repeat Sunwing and Memories customer (6 times at Memories) and was totally turned off by the Rep at the hotel. My duty free pre-order on the plane was not available on the plane on my return trip and am now trying to make arrangements for refund, another time consuming task. I will need to seriously question Sunwing's ability for future trips. I travel about 5 months of the year and this is my first direct complaint to an airline or hotel.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great first trip

Great first trip as a couple. Beaches were beautiful, staff went out of their way to help whenever possible, pools were clean, excursions were exciting. Downside: food was barely tolerable and bed sheets smelt of mold.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great place Sanctuary

This is our second visit to Grand Memories Sanctuary. The pool, restaurants, bars and beach are all nice and close. We enjoy being able to eat in the restaurants for all meals. The staff is very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We plan to go again.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Remember Holguin

The room had insects. I found cockroach in the desk's drawers three times. There are also lots of mosquitoes. Also they don't change the sheets / towels daily. I have nothing else to say...no need 200 characters

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Good place

Great place for vacation. The breakfast and lunches were great. Dinners were not the best. The drinks were awesome. Staff friendly. Beaches were good not much on snorkeling. Is far to travel from resort to resort. Get money exchanged before you go. They will rip you off on exchange.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Relaxing experience

Nice lobby area connected by corridors. Room and furnitures shows age but it kept clean. One night the toilet malfunction but the service person came within minutes and looked after the problem. Service of hotel personel in general are very friendly and attentive. Plenty of food in the restaurant, Just stay away from the fish or the wine.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: super resort:

It was wonderful trip experience, so closed to the beach, just 2 mins from my room, lots of drinks available with very good service bartenders, lots of foods at the buffet sections, so many tropical fruits coming out of my dreams, the chefs were very nice & singing songs as they were cooking up my foods. There were 4 different restaurants to choose for a romance dinner in the evening. After the diners, one can go to the bar to get more drinks, then there were shows every night. Resonance Blu Varadero: Great resort

The resort was very beautifully maintained and everything on ground was tip top. The food was good, repetitive, but lacked the 4 star service that you would expect. Most of the week we had to serve our own coffee at the buffet and our own drinks at the machines. But the Beach was beautiful, always upkept and lots of space and lots of chairs. Bars were always stocked with great service and great drinks. The people on the resort are extremely friendly and there is always lots to do. Venture into t [... read more]own if possible and meet the people and follow excursions. There are lots of possibilities and arguably this resort could pass for a 5 star if the buffet service was upgraded and the people served you in the ways you would expect; also if all buildings for rooms were upgraded as well. The room we stayed in was upgraded and very nicely kept. This was in building 24, highly recommend requesting this building as I do recall seeing some other buildings still outdated. Overall the resort was amazing and worth every penny, we did enjoy our 7 night stay.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful laid out Resort

Grounds were imaculate and well maintained. Beach was kept clean of natural and man made clutter. Loungers all in good conditioand clean. Staff and gardeners very polite and genuinly interested in your wellbeing. Down fall was the house wine as it was horrendous.... you could buy international wines but they were priced higher than at home. Mixed drinks and cocktails were hit and miss for mix and consistancy. Food of dining is bad, little choice. Change money is bad- cashier is a lout and a thief. Beach and ocean are good. Service is bad. Sometimes the drinks doesn't have on the beach's bar(beer). Garden is good.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: No beer resort

The biggest dissappointment was Sunwing's decission to add stop to Saskatoon on our way there and back, which added extra 2 hours each way. Hotel run out of beer several times during our 7 days stay. They did not have clean beach towels for exchange either. Food was not great but it was expected for Cuba hotel. Beautiful beach and crystal clear water were there to compensate for everything bad. Staff is very friendly.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Still a good Resort

This was my second visit to the Sanctuary Grand Memories this year and unfortunately there has been a change in management which was very noticeable. The Sanctuary and the Gourmet restaurants are not the same in service and quality of the food as it was in March. Hopefully the management changes are corrected as this resort was amazing just a few months ago. We had two butlers, Noel and Gretchen. Gretchen was very friendly and always found us in the morning and asked what she could do for us th [... read more]at day. Noel on the other hand would avoid us and only asked once during our stay if there was anything he could do for us and that was at 4:30 pm. The rooms, beach, pool and the grounds are still spotless. The beach area at this resort is well maintained and beautiful. The gardener does a great job maintain the grounds and is often seen making little handmade gifts for the guests. All the snack bar staff were efficient and Roxana was very friendly and would always offer to bring your drink or food over to you. This is still a good resort and hopefully they will work out the management issues, overall it was still a relaxing vacation but defiantly not the same resort as it was in March

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful beach, but we won't go back to this hotel.

The first thing that bugged us about this trip was that our direct flight to Cayo Coco was changed into one going via Santa Clara. It made our flight almost 2 hours longer. The hotel itself is well kept. The grounds are beautiful. The beach is truly amazing. Maid service was great and the room was always clean with plenty of towels. The water temp in the shower was always cold (colder than ocean water) but since it was always more than 31*C during the day it wasn't that big of a deal. The food w [... read more]asn't great but you can always find something. It's Cuba and we weren't expecting 5 star dinning. Overall a relaxing vacation but I doubt we will go back to this particular resourt.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing girls trip at Memories Caribe Cayo Coco

This was a very nice mid-sized Resort. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was so amazing - lots of palapas and palm trees. Transfers and check in were very quick. The staff at the resort truly made this a memorable experience. The service was excellent. They were very friendly and always respectful. The food was not fancy, but the fresh made meat and fish were very good. The pizza at the beach was very good. The Mediterranean a la Carte was very good. The drinks were delicious and [... read more] always plentiful. The room was simple but had everything we needed. We would definitely return.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautifiul and Clean Resort. Friendly Staff

The resort is large with many ammenities. If needed, carts will taxi guests to where they need to go. The a la cartes were good, but seemed undersubscribed. The butlers were eager to please with the little extras that make a vacation special.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: I'm confused how this resort has 3 stars

200 words is not long enough for me to review this terrible resort. I'll point form it. -the food is terrible. nothing is warm, they are always out of food. if you show up 10 minutes after the buffet opens they are already all out of chicken and eggs. (happened on two different lunch times) -staff is rude. and pushy a server kept asking my husband for his cologne before we left on our last day. he asked my husband so many times he felt uncomfortable staying at the bar. and we walked around unt [... read more]il we left. They also are mad if you don't tip them, I didn't have money at the swim up bar and when I went twice to get a beer he sighed or just completely ignored me. -someone pooped in the pool, and they just scooped it out didn't inform any guests and went on with they're day. -everything felt dirty or was broken. Memories Jibacoa: Great Relaxing Resort

Small Resort surrounded by beautiful mountains very picturesque..needs some work especially the showers in the rooms, but I have been told that will be completed in the spring 20!9. Pool was beautiful, Beach was gorgeous! Staff all amazing! Drinks plentiful. Spanish Coffees out of this world. Buffet needs a bit of improvement, but they were working on it. Hiking Tour, walking tour through the mountains breathtaking! Trip to Havana well worth it....I must compliment the Managers. They were so involved in all the different activities, halloween, beach party etc...They went to all the A la Carte dinners and asked all the guests if they were satisfied, if anything was lacking...suggestions for improvements etc. They were totally involved 24 hours a day! Kiki and company were awesome. Thank you for taking the time to chat with us and making our stay so comfortable. FYI: Wifi available in room, balcony, pool , lobby and beach area.
