Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Wonderful Property - Amazing everything
My husband and I spent 5 nights at the Valentin from April 1-6, 2015. Everything about this resort was top-notch. Food, staff, rooms, pools and beach. The resort was at capacity but you never felt like it was crowded. If you wanted privacy, you got it. If you wanted to be in the mix, you got that too. It's been said before and is so very true - the staff go out of their way to make your experience everything you want it to be and more. The lush gardens and walking paths were breath-takinginly [... read more]
Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: below average
First of all I would like to start buy saying it's our 3rd time in Mexico and we've always stayed at 5 star resorts. That being said this may sway our review for this resort. The resort is in major need of renovation. We changed rooms 3 times and were lucky enough to get room 222 which had a renovated bathroom. Our previous 2 rooms had an old bathroom with no fan and mold on the ceiling. We would like to thank our WestJet rep Kerry that helped us out tremendously with this matter as well as Laur [... read more]
Melia Puerto Vallarta: All Inclusive resort?????
The resort was beautiful, well maintained. My room had a very musty smell about it. Was mentioned 3 times never taken care of. As for all inclusive not so had to pay for: Mini golf, trampoline, coffee bar, some foods off the menu. Buffet was almost exactly the same every night. The items listed as all inclusive where in fact mostly for the younger children or events you had to pay for. As a whole not overly impressed.
Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Ok resort
this resort is over priced for over 5K is not offering what you can find at other similarly resorts. pros: rooms, grounds, beech, services cons: running water smells like sewage inacceptable for Mexico resort isn't a small island.
Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Amazing resort!!
Everything was amazing! The food was so good and always a large variety. The staff was always there for you. Great service at the pool. No need to get up for a drink. The only negative point was the beach, there was a lot of seaweeds.
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Super
Can't say enough good. The food, rooms and all the staff are so nice. There is a sea food restaurant where you reserve a la cartes. The restaurant has a few tables for them and a few that are not for the restaurant. We sat of to the side that wasn't for the restaurant and the manager came over and offered us an a la carte meal. I don't care for sea food but I did have the salmon and it was so good we booked another at the same restaurant and I again had the salmon. The best!
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good Resort
We had a good time. We stayed in the Koba part of the resort (kids area) which worked for us. We were gold members and enjoyed the better drinks at the club house before dinner. Book your reservation into the restaurants as soon as you get their!!! The Koba was far from the beach but an enjoyable ride on their bus system. The beach was covered with seaweed 20 m deep from shore. The resort was trying hard to clean it up but it was endless - good effort on the workers. We were pleasantly surprise [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great jungle/golf resort
This was a great hotel situated about 1 mile from the ocean. We were able to use the facilities at 4 other resorts that were on the ocean so we were satisfied. The food was great, the people were friendly and very accommodating. There was no problem getting shuttles to the ocean. There are costs associated with golfing at this resort. Overall a great property.
Live Aqua Cancun: Beautiful
The hotel staff was very welcoming and for the most part efficient. Occasionally it was hard to fine wait staff by the pool areas. The restaurants were all very good. The gym facilities were enough that a decent workout was possible.
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Stench on the Beach
Grand Bahia Principe Tulum has gone down in quality since we first went there about six years ago. There were no chips or cookies in the fridges. No towel animals in the room. No longer able to use the facilities at Akumal. The beach stunk because of the seaweed that was not cleaned up. No one used the beaches for a couple of days because of the stench. The Oasis restaurant was terrible .... very little and poor quality food. One of our beds was missing a sheet until I happened to catch a maid a [... read more]
HS Hotsson Smart Acapulco: good
clean good size room amazing panorama view! even when ling on bed .the all area of hotel including beach pools food elevators 100 per cent clean. people arriving or living in good order manner, not disturbing! the hotel needs a good chef.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: It was an incredible resort to stay at!
The resort had beautiful grounds, great food.good entertainment and nice rooms! The only negative thing I can say about it was that the beach had way too much seaweed!I would go back to this resort again and I would recommend this resort to everyone.:)
The Pyramid Cancun: Great time!
Hotel was very clean and all staff were very helpful. Definetly a party resort and would recommend to anyone looking for a good time. Great location that's not far from town and easy to get to and from.
Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Amazing Resort
The Resort was clean, everyone was very friendly, the food was great and the view was breathtaking. Being able to sit on porch sipping a hot coffee and watching the whales in the morning was unbelieveable.
Royal Solaris: Great resort for families with small children
This resort proved to be the perfect spot for my family. It catered very nicely to my 2 small children and I appreciated how clean and well kept the grounds were. For a 4 star resort, it had 5 star service, cleanliness and entertainment.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort
This resort was very well kept, food was good, and resort really had great things for the kids. Good shows (especially Michael Jackson show) and shopping area as well. This was our second time back....Would definately go back!
Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Loved the room and the surf!
spacious rooms, free wifi (which is great) - only issues are would prefer not to need towel cards and a bit more variety for the meals. Also - most "fun" area in the pools was off-limits to kids (cave pool-bar)
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Luxury resort!
The hotel was beautiful and very luxurious! The service was top notch, the accommodations were very comfortable, the food was delicious. The only thing that we didn't like so much was all the seaweed on the beach
Hotel Emporio Ixtapa: Clean, decent accomodations and nice staff
The hotel is older and somewhat dated but the rooms were very clean, the housekeeping staff did a great job. The bed was comfy but a lighter duvet would have been nice. A/C worked well. We didn't do the all-inclusive but had dinner one night, a lunch and breakfast on our last day. The food was good. Next time I think I'd opt for the breakfast plan for convenience. The grounds and pool area were nice and there were plenty of chairs and beach towels. Check-out was extremely slow, they could defini [... read more]
Las Brisas Huatulco: Awesome Week!
My husband and I travelled to Las Brisas in Huatulco for the first time in March. We thought the resort was outstanding. Loved the grounds and the beaches. Lots to do if you like to be busy. Offered many activites daily. The food was great and all the staff were very friendly. We hope to get back to Las Brisas next year.
