Catalonia Riviera Maya: Best Staff ever!!

It’s a beautiful resort. Not too big, not too small. Tons of options to sit back and relax. Didn’t feel crowded even at a full buffet. Lots of shade options as well as sun. The buffet food could have been a bit better but the restaurants amazing dinners made up for it. But the staff.. I would return just for them! Pedro and Oscar are the most fun bartenders you could ask for!! I’d go back just to see them again! Nobody is hounding you on the resort which was amazing. People come by and a [... read more]sk if you’d like your hair done or a massage but quietly dismiss themselves as soon as you say no thank you. Very kind people there. We had an awesome honeymoon to say the least!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: It was a Amazing hotelbeautiful

The grounds beautiful at night. The animals are amazing. The staff was great, very good hotel. If you have allergies they look after you Ten Out of ten. The rooms were kept clean every day, the food lots. Overall it was a very good trip ps not recommended if you are a smoker.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Fantastic Family Vacation!

This was our first time to Mexico as well as one of the Barcelo Resorts. We are a family of 5 and always book 2 rooms. We've travelled a lot throughout the Caribbean and have stayed at many all-inclusives. This resort has something for everyone to enjoy. It's huge and you can use the services at the other sections too. Very easy to get around and the grounds are beautiful. We like to switch it up between the pool and the beach, we always found chairs but it's probably a good idea to get there early. The FOOD was very good. The buffets had lots of variety and the service there was pleasant and quick. The a la cartes were really good too, the Japanese was our favorite. We didn't have any trouble booking these but I recommend being flexible with your times, there are a lot of people to accommodate. We did one EXURSION, to see some of the Ruins followed by swimming in a cenote. We booked this through our West Jet Rep and it was well worth the price, including meals, transfers, gear and even though it said a half day, it was closer to a full day. Lots of fun and very interesting. SNORKELLING from the beach is awesome. Our favorite part was finding the turtles! It's such a cool experience to swim with them. You can do this every day if you like. They are beautiful. There's so much to do at this resort, all day and into the night. We had lots of fun and a fantastic week!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing resort

Had the pleasure of vacationing at the Iberostar in Myan Riveria Mexico What a lovely resort the ground are stunning both at daytime and night time Plenty of wildlife to see Hawks being trained through out the resort Beautiful Peacocks Flamingos Parrots lots of little creatures very amazing!! Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Family Resort with Nature vibes!

Made some great memories at this resort! Lots of wild life and jungle vibes all over, and plenty to do for the kids. Folks at Kids Club were A1. Food at buffet could be little hit or miss, but not bad. Restaurants very hard to get reservations. Beach very nice, but hard to get out and swim with the rocks. Pools/ water park were great tho! Snack bars by the pools were great places for easy lunchs

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Wonderful Spot!

The resort was fantastic! Beautiful rooms, pool, and beach. All of the food was fantastic, both the restaurants and the buffet. Loved the koi and the turtles in the main area of the resort. Both the family side and adults only side had tons of fun activities to go to. All the staff were kind and friendly. East walk to the town of Playa del Carmen but there was lots to do on the resort and we didn’t feel bored just staying there most days.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Amazing Resort - Brutal flight delays

Sandos Playacar provided a memorable experience during my attendance at a destination wedding for a friend. It's worth noting at Sandos Playacar, that local bars typically close by midnight, with some exceptions extending until 1 a.m. Regarding dining options, the main buffet located near the Meeting Point offers a satisfying array of dishes, including delectable spicy tacos prepared fresh from the grill. However, one inconvenience to consider is potential flight delays impacting travel to the resort, as it requires an additional hour of transportation via shuttle or car from Cancun. Accommodations, while somewhat dated, serve their purpose adequately considering that most guests spend minimal time in their rooms. Notably, room service maintains a commendable level of efficiency, particularly during non-peak meal times.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort

We had a great time. We have always done adult only ,but this resort was so big and the children were so well behaved. So much for the kids to do. Urban show is a must but get there early as seats fill fast.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Wonderful Vacation

The location of the hotel is very beautiful. We enjoyed all the services and facilities surrounding the hotel. The beach is very clean and well-maintained. The staff at the reception were friendly and accommodated all our wishes. The resort offers many restaurants for dining. We would suggest that the food could be improved by offering more international and healthy options, as it was the same every day. The room service was amazing; the cleaning staff were nice and family-oriented. Barcelo Maya Riviera: Amazing 2 weeks at Barcelo Palace

I thought two weeks would be too long but we were sad to leave and could have stayed another 2 weeks. Resort amenities the beach the food the service was outstanding and the staff are so professional and eager to make your stay memorable. The staff at the Water Sports and dive shop are so helpful and knowledgeable. We went out on the Hobie Cats daily. I recommend upgrade to premium level for additional services.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Fantastic resort…booking again!

We loved this resort and we are already planning to return next year (going to try Maya next year (same resort, different rooms and more restaurants)). There is so much to do for all ages. The waterslides, lazy river and wave pool are fun for all ages….the pools are amazing! The beach was really nice. My son loved Star Camp (9 yrs old)! We also played Tennis and had a blast! We loved the Teppanyaki restaurant….highly recommend it (fantastic food and a great show)! Buffets were all great. We loved the burgers and fries in the shopping centre Hamburger restaurant. Star Cafe is like Starbucks and a great go to place for snacks and drinks. The resort is huge…if you have mobility issues, that might be an issue (no elevators) , but there are shuttles (golf carts) running constantly around the resort. We walked about 10km a day. When booking a room ground level is that, 1st floor is the 2nd floor and 2nd floor is the 3rd floor…something to be aware of (as noted above, no elevators). We had a junior suite by the pool on the second floor and we loved it. Very spacious and clean. Loved that your key card is attached to your wrist band! Smart and handy! A few negatives…. All items in the stores are ridiculously priced (bag of chips and gummy worms were $43 CDN…stuffed animal was $60 CDN….2 packs of baby wipes were almost $50 CDN). Bring everything that you think that you need and more. Not much poolside drink service (1 person working a huge pool) and only one bartender working at each bar, so you can end up waiting in line for 20 mins for a drink. Get multiple drinks at once and bring your own large cup to keep them cold (Corkcicle, Stanley etc…) They used to greet you with a cold towel and glass of champagne upon arrival (as other all inclusive resorts do), but they have stopped that at Lindo (unsure why)….it is something that I like and this was missed. Overall a great resort…which is why we are going back next year!

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Amazing Resort!

We had a great time at this resort. 1 Hour from the airport. Super clean. Felt very safe. Wasn’t lacking anything. Lots of food options. Lots of activities. All staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great trip!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. The staff were all very professional, friendly, and accomodating. It was just my husband and I on the trip and we had requested a room with a king bed, but when we arrived we were given a room with two doubles. They moved us to a new room as soon as a king bed became available, which only took a day. They were great! We got out parasailing, which we did find much more expensive than other resorts/islands we've been to. But it was fun, and the staff running the parasailing were very nice. I got a massage at the spa one day and I have nothing but good things to say. My massage therapist, Luisa, did a great deep tissue massage. It was a full body massage from my toes to my head. Very relaxing! The food was one of the best parts of our vacation. The a la carte restaurants were really great. It's worth noting that you must make your reservations 10 days before your trip at the time you check-in. We knew this in advance, but we spoke to some people who were unaware of this and weren't able to get reservations. So make sure to take a look at restaurants and menus in advance and get your reservations booked. There are no a la carte for breakfast and lunch but the buffet was surprisingly good! Tons of options and good quality. You have access to all Bahia resorts (Coba, Tulum, and Sian Ka'an) when you stay at Akumal. Akumal is by far the best of the 4 so we only ventured on to the others for dinners. All in all, we had a wonderful trip and would definitely recommend this resort.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Pretty but disappointing

As a repeat guest (been 5 times) we found the resort is now pushing very hard on guests to purchase memberships. Prices have gone up but service has decreased. Buffet menus are primarily Mexican food with fewer options. Many amenities not available for non-members. Entertainment now has a cost.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Not a 5 star

Poor food, no themes at buffet despite lunar new year and Valentine's. No flexibility for unusual circumstances. Rooms are worn out. Buffet staff not allowed to join tables to accommodate family groups I'd these larger settings are occupied

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Overall review

Beach was fabulous, just not enough loungers & beds at the pool & beach , people saving them & not using them for hours , food was not to my liking buffet food was always cold , room was a bit outdated but clean , night entertainment was only bands & singing , service was great , staff was very friendly

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Truly a gem in paradise

This resort was my best resort ever! We really enjoyed the food, nearly every meal was perfect, even lunch at the themed restaurant was so good. We also enjoyed the dressing up for dinner every night.The staff was exceptional, always happy to greet you. We enjoyed how much effort , assortment and enthusiasm was put into activities and entertainment. The grounds were beautiful and carved through the jungle terrain which made it a real nice experience. They were constantly tending to keeping the [... read more] grounds immaculate. Another real highlighlight here was Cafe Sisal which was like having a Starbucks on the property and we would enjoy almost twice a day, a real treat at no extra cost. As usual with these large resorts we were disappointed how much pool chairs and floaties were hoarded by all the guests with most chairs gone by 7 am. I wish that the resort would police their policy of not saving chairs. We were in the cheapest rooms available, they were good but a bit dated.

The Grand Sirenisis an amazing resort. Everyone at the resort were so helpful.The grounds were outstanding and it was lovely to see the wildlife. The food was delicious and well presented. We had an amazing time and would recommend this resort to everyone

Barcelo Maya Palace: Wonderful resort

We had an amazing vacation at the Barcelo Maya Palace with our group of 6 (ages 7-75). The resort had lots to do, the beach was lovely (but bring water shoes for the coral!), the food was always delicious. Our only complaint was the shows didn't start until 9:30 pm so it was too late for our children to stay up after a fun day in the sun. Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Definitely a 3.5 star!

The hotel was not bad, we went with kids so buffet was what we were expecting, and buffet was available only for breakfast. That left us with Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican and Japanese (French was for adults only) not a lot of choices. Italian and Japanese was really good. Rooms were clean. The kids loved the pool , it was nice , not that big but it was nice. Unfortunately my wife loves to be on the beach, but this hotel beach was not very good, lots of stone couldn’t even walk in, very sm [... read more]all area so we couldn’t use the beach at all.
