Temptation Resort & Spa: Amazing Service, lots of staff, no line ups, great food.
We were thrilled to find a resort that had enough staff to treat everyone like they were special. At no point did we ever have to ask for anything. The staff were asking us. When we went for supper we never had to wait for a table, when we went for a drink we never had to wait at the bar for a drink. Lots of beach on each side of the resort, great water sports, and free sale boat rides daily. One thing we liked was the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very quiet. We had nice quiet[... read more], comfortable sleeps. It was fun and sexy, yet quiet and relaxing. We really loved this place 10/10.

Sandos Cancun: Great resort!!
I just wanted to say the service was exceptional... the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially our waiter Gonzalo.
The resort is very beautiful and the location by the beach stunning. The food was great with a wide variety of choices.
Our flight was delayed several hours and we were allowed to stay and eat and drink as much as we wanted, plus they provided showers in the Spa, which was lovely.

Moon Palace Cancun: Wonderful Vacation!
The Moon Palace is an extremely large resort with three sections (Nizuc, Sunrise and The Grand) with 2,000+ rooms spanning more than 3 kms right on the ocean. As the pool is right at the ocean, it was lovely having the view while lounging around the pool.
We stayed at Nizuc and it was a very beautiful setting. Rooms were very modern and lovely with extremely comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and always willing to assist.
The Awe Spa is amazing and a must for anyone to experience[... read more]! It is exactly that...an experience!!!
We were travelling as two families and while we all really enjoyed our March Break vacation, I personally missed some things that I had had during trips to the Dominican Republic:
* Given the expanse of the property, there was significant walking to all areas including the pool and meals. There were golf carts that could shuttle you and a coach that ran regularly between all three sections but a lot of time was spent getting from one place to another.
* While there were a variety of restaurants, most did not take reservations so we had long waits to get in to eat especially if you went anytime after 7:00 p.m. I would have liked more options at each section of the resort.
* While there were evening shows, the stages were outdoors and we had rain one day so the Fire Show was cancelled as a result. These areas were also quite small in comparison to the resort size and I found the quality to be okay on the ones I saw. I was expecting more for the families to do in the evening after dinner.
* While there were many activities such as aerobics, zumba, volleyball etc., I didn't find that the staff tried to engage you into getting involved to have some fun around the pool. Our last day however there was an awesome St. Patrick's Day party in the pool featuring a live band, dancing, games etc. that was amazing the entire day! Such a wonderful way to end our vacation! I would have enjoyed seeing a little more of this type of fun throughout the week.
* Resort credits are not as easy to spend as one may initially think as you are capped as to how much you can use for any area (i.e. $300 for spa and in the gift store you can only purchase a very small selection of items) and you have to pay 16% on anything you use. That being said we did the Dolphin Experience which was unbelievable...a must for any family and ended up costing us approximately $71 US which was significantly cheaper than the usual $149 US per person for other experiences in other countries as we were able to use credits! I also had a facial at the spa with my daughter which was fabulous!
* Despite the abundance of chairs around the pool, there are not enough and we found we had to get up early and put towels on chairs just to have a spot.
* This year beaches along the Mayan Riviera are having difficulties with tremendous amounts of seaweed washing ashore making swimming in the ocean uninviting.
The Moon Palace is definitely a beautiful resort with amazing grounds and I would recommend it to anyone.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun: Perfection
We stayed at the Hyatt ziva Cancun turquoise tower for 7 days. The unique location in the hotel zone is the one of the main reasons I booked here for our honeymoon. As guest in the turquoise tower, the hotel provide complimentry shuttle service from the airport. Upon arrival to the hotel, we met our Butler, Joel, he turned our honeymoon into something magical with all kinds of surprises. The level of service he provided exceeded all expectations. The room is very stylish with great views. The be[... read more]ach is probably the best in Cancun because they blocked off all the big ocean waves. The restaurant and bar have elevated designs, but I feel like the food can be improved as they are a bit plain. All in all, this is a amazing hotel and I would recommend it to all my friends

Secrets Playa Mujeres: A little to far off the beat and track
There is no real grounds area. Main restaurants too far away, have to take shuttle, when raining very unpleasant. Room was good only after moving twice. They do not offer single room rates. Beach fair as too much overgrowth around beach brought in animals and bugs.

Grand Oasis Sens: OK resort
It was a slightly older resort but very clean and we'll maintained.
There was a large percentage of gay and lesbians population there at this time , so if this offends you I would suggest that you go elsewhere, but e found it to be OK.
If you have issues with climbing stairs, this is not the place to go. There are about 20 stairs to go down to the breakfast buffet, which was very nice. To get to the main pool there is a dozen stair steps and another four to the next level of the entertainment[... read more] pool and another 10 to 12 to get to the beach.
The bars were available at most levels , but the washrooms were not easily accessible or close, there could be more washrooms.
Entertainment was pretty good at the pool stage and Kinky's bar and the piano lobby bar. I would suggest that you go to the concierge office to try to get on the shuttle to the Grand Oasis Cancun resort for the free Caberate show or others that are available. They don't really mention the shows unless you have the San Kan upgrade but it was excellent. If you are adventurous you might try to rent a smart car in the lobby to venture out on your own, or take an excursion or two to Tulum or other sights.
The water was rather rough when we were there in early March so no kayak or snorkeling was available, but the beach is pretty and we'll maintained.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Average vacation
This hotel had its pros and cons. The hotel is beautiful to look at from the outside. Kept very nice on the outside and the beach and pools where very nice. Restaurant staff very nice, bar staff money talks and definitely under staffed for the size of the hotel. Check in and check out take hours. And if your in need of any help you my as well forget about it because no one is there to help you or if they do once again you wait hours. Room keys quit working at least 6 times when we where there an[... read more]d the extra costs to do anything on the resort was rediculous. They call it the entertainer resort and there is some entertainment but just like every other hotel there sure wasn’t something going on at all times like I was sold on.They don’t help with luggage and first impressions they don’t make you feel very welcome. Rooms where clean but had a really bad smell and outdated

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great Getaway!
Crown Paradise Club Cancun delivered! Sun, sand, what else can you ask for. We were pleased to get what we expected. Our room faced the ocean (I believe they all do...a bonus!!!)Although very much a "Family Resort", we were very satisfied with the suite we paid extra for. Our room was one of the quietest I have been in. My husband and I were in suite 2701 which was at the end of the hall which was away from the elevators which we requested. We appreciated having breakfast in the "adult only" lou[... read more]nge on the 8th floor and were happy to end our day there for a drink and some hors d'oeuvres in a quiet atmosphere which suited us fine. Also, don't miss the adult only section in the buffet and the adult only pool. If you can't afford an "adult only" hotel, this will do the trick. We had to wait a bit for our check in but sitting on the beach made the time pass....The ocean is a bit rough, just be forewarned but we still went in it. The specialty restaurants are great but the only negative was when they cancelled our reservation at the french restaurant with only a few hours notice....they did book us somewhere else. I was dissapointed but quickly got over it. Book these as soon as you arrive or the next morning with the Concierge in the breakfast lounge. We went on the Snorkel and Tulum excursion. Both are recommended. Don't forget to put your name for the "Lagoon Cruise" on Tuesdays, with the main Concierge on the first floor. It is free and the Tequilla will be flowing freely. You will be served an amazing sit down lunch on the boat as well. A good few hours was had by all!!!! For a quick, cheap outing, go accross the street to the El Rey Zona Arqueologica....you will see ruins and lots of Iguanas. Great photo ops and a quiet tour at your own pace for only $3.50 American. The jet tub facing the ocean....what can I say! We flew with West Jet and quite enjoy our flight. Book the "Plus" service (only 12 seats per plane) You will get free booze, meal, hot towel and free tablet (which was much appreciated on our flight since the West Jet connect app was not available on the return flight but we still got to view some films to pass the time. Oh, and much more leg room! Very clean hotel and the staff is very friendly and ready to answer your questions. I had read some reviews that mentioned how the mattresses were hard, but for someone with back pain, I can honestly say that the mattresses were awesome. The pillows, not so much but it is what it is. I survived. If you purchase things in American money at the hotel they will give you Pesos back but if you go to the mall a short bus ride down the street they will give you American change (bus is $1 American and comes every few minutes- R1 or R2 will get you to the mall in front of the Westin Hotel) Just flag the bus down, they will stop. You can walk to the famous "CANCUN" sign overlooking the ocean at the public beach but be ready to wait in line as you are not the only one who wants that picture. We were told going early in the morning is best. A 7 minute walk from hotel at the most....All I can say is when can we go back?

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great time in Cancun
Resort is getting older, but they are keeping up on all maintenance. Staff were awesome, but there were a few minor language problems. Not all staff were as fully trained as required, but they still did there best to be helpful. Food was good. Some restaurants would run out of more popular menu items. I will definitely stay there again on my next vacation to Cancun.

Riu Dunamar: Totally met expectations – Just as described
Resort was perfect size being easy to get around, but yet, large enough to get lost if you wanted. Both family and couples friendly. New, clean and super, super friendly staff. I have never seen so many cleaning and grounds workers in my 20 visits down South. Would recommend to friends.

Emporio Cancun: Nice, quiet and clean resort
We loved our 11 days at Emporio! All of the staff were really friendly, the food was great and everything was well-maintained. The decor maybe a little outdated but they are working on upgrading the rooms. We were in one of the older suites but everything worked fine and the rooms were clean. Everything closes at 11 so it gets nice and quiet when it's time to go to bed. The beach was great too and the sand was groomed regularly. There was some seaweed in the water but it didn't inhibit people fr[... read more]om going into the ocean. Considering what we paid we felt we got really good value for our money.

Oleo Cancun Playa: OLEO - February 2018
OLEO is a beautiful boutique hotel that is ideal for the 30+ age group. It is located approximately 15 min from the airport on the hotel strip. It is only a short bus ride to the mall and even Market 28 is manageable by bus. The beach front and view are amazing! I would highly recommend the OLEO for a relaxing vacation!

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Beautiful resort but beware of upsells!
We went my husband, 5 year old daughter and I to this absolutely gorgeous and clean resort. It is truly spectacular from the moment you walk in there.
But, the second we walked in, at the check in, I’m informed I have a ground level room which was my only request NOT to have. Then I was offered to upgrade my room for a discounted fee of 90$USD a night and I’m lucky because it normally should be 130$... nice way to start. I accepted and got a decent room with a decent view.
We were there [... read more]for 10 days and the resort was barely at 50% capacity. I could have gotten this room for free but they chose to charge us...
Once that bitter taste faded, I was happy to enjoy the beautiful resort with the most attentive staff. They were very sweet and always had a smile on.
My daughter LOVED going to the kids club. They take such good care of the kids!!!!
But, they are turning this beautiful resort/chain of hotels into a time share. Every time you go to the front desk and/or concierge, you are asked to take the 1.5 hour “tour†to become a member of the time share. I expressed a few time that I wasn’t interested but it got to the point that I couldn’t even get a pricing on an excursion cos all they wanted was to sell me the timeshare.
I finally fell in the trap and listened to the speech. I wasted 1.5 hour and at the end I didn’t even get what was promised to me (150$ in leisure cash and tickets to the paying show at the resort). Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. Don’t waste your time listening to that and just enjoy the sun.
Other than that, i Can honestly say, GO THERE!!!!! Love it!!!!
Being brand new everything was in great condition.Beds were comfortable.Housekeeping was great. The grounds were constantly being maintained.Easy to get around and everything close.Looked like a big resort on the picture but everything was convenient - no need for shuttles as at some resorts we have been to.Food was great - I am vegan but there was plenty of options for me.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Great Week of Sun and Fun!
We spent 7 days in Paradise at the Occidental Costa Cancun from February 24th to March 3rd. The flight with Transat was smooth and we arrived with no issues. Transfer was a bit confusing but it all got figured out quickly. Staff at the resort was wonderful and we were made to feel very welcome. Food was good and drinks even better. It is a smaller resort and not in an area of Cancun that is close to downtown or the hotel zone. We were going for R&R and just fun and that's what we got. We d[... read more]idn't do any excursions but lots were available. I would definitely return to this resort!
