Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Beautiful Resort but needs time to
This is a Beautiful Resort. The architecture is outstanding. The Rooms, Food and Service are amazing. Not fond of the seaweed in the Ocean. Had a wonderful time here with my husband - February 18 - 25th. I would recommend this resort although I was hoping the Hideaway was further apart from the Royalton Resort. I wanted a little quieter and smaller Resort. Still had a great time! Special Thanks to Sigfriedo, he is a great asset to this Resort!
Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Fantastic in almost all regards
We loved the service, the food, the staff, the drinks, the snorkeling and the rooms. Our only disappointment was the rocky beach access everything else exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 9.
Riu Palace Pacifico: Great vacation resort
When we checked in our room was less than what we had expected - it was on the first floor and our patio faced a vacant lot - we did get this changed on our third day. The service is amazing and the resort is very clean. It was difficult to get into the restaurants but the ones we did get into were fantastic. Lots of entertainment thru the day and night. We would definitely return.
Iberostar Waves Cozumel: iberostar cozumel - place to stay
This resort is extremely well run. rooms do need some upkeep, (some have been done already however, the one we stayed in was still quite run down although clean and comfortable. Food - great, staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend this on to friends.
Grand Oasis Riviera: Had a very nice time Tulum!
Hotel was very Mexican, Oscar was the drink maestro! And Noeli made the best morning coffees! Lots of sun! Great beach and friendly staff, Tulum is a very special place. Kids had lots to do with so many activities close by if that's the type of vacation you're looking for you can't beat the location.
Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Overall Very Good Resort!
The Grand Sirenis is architecturally stunning! Beautiful grounds and overall pretty clean. We had problems with our room and had to be moved twice so we got off to a bumpy start. We had to push a little to get satisfaction. The resort eventually upgraded us to a suite to compensate. Better for adults than families with young children.
The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Disappointed
The resort itself was well kept and clean. Language was a barrier. Beach was very small but the pools were lovely. Buffet restaurant was not open all day as most resorts and had to wait to be seated. I liked the size of the resort.
The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Good overall with a few negatives.
Had a room in the one of the older buildings, it was clean but shows some wear. The built in clothes drawers smelled very bad and the main shower head did not work, the hand wand worked fine though so we used that instead. The staff was very good, Lydia, who cleaned the room was excellent, so was Gama at the swim up bar. I had a problem one night getting a ride the restaurant by the beach for my wife, who has mobility problems, we were told this service would be available, but the fellow on the [... read more]
Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great resort but...
I have been to many Carribean Resorts and this one certainly measured up to the better of them all. HOWEVER... I was very disappointed in the beach - too rocky, slippery rocks and plus plus seaweed which was stinky after a few days and made entry into the water unpleasant. I don't use the pools much but they looked fine to me. The "Eco" aspect was interesting and the on- site trails were fun. The shows were very good and the entertainment good. The food was good and the wedding we attended was l [... read more]
Occidental at Xcaret Destination: great getaway
We loved this resort, stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute. The food is plenty, the drinks are yummy and the staff is wonderful. It is a for start which is correct. The only negative would be that excursions and shopping are a bit pricey, but these are outsidef of the resort. The night shows were fun, although are later in the evening at 930.
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Job well done. fun resort , beautiful accomodation
Beautiful resort, well laid out, good food, average beach , very nice pool. Close to Playa Del Carmen. Fun bars and ggod variety at buffets. A la cartes were average Will definetly recommend. Blue Bay rocks
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Won't go back
This was once a great property however it has gone downhill over the last year. The air conditioning in the room was intermittent with no dehumidifier so the room was extremely damp, the sheets as night were cold and damp, there was an infestation of mosquitos. I have so many bites I had to go to the doctor. The beach had seaweed a foot high and 3' deep from the water. We were in the Golden Club with a priority exclusive check in, when we arrived we were left standing out in from of the main lob [... read more]
Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: You can't not have a good time here!!
Hotel was really great and could not believe the value for money for a family suite, I was really impressed. The views from the rooms and pool to the ocean, are gorgeous. I liked that there were lots of healthy options at the buffet and restaurants. Big Bens was very accomodating to get me a salad although not on the menu, and the head waiter at Manhattan's was amazing and even stopped by to shake my dad's hand and wish him well, when he saw we were leaving. We were a group of 13 ranging from 9- [... read more]
Iberostar Waves Tucan: THE BEST
This was the nicest resort I've been to. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms and grounds were spotless. Beautiful animals and scenery to look at. PERFECT!!! The pool was great and lots of lounge chairs available.
Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Good service
Only one thing wrong with this place; only one.....its big! Grounds, while gorgeous, well kept, and lovely are huge. Maybe that's too much for me in my early 70's but a lot of walking is required. Otherwise, and I mean it.....otherwise it's wonderful! First are the people: friendly, eager to please, good sense of humour and accommodating. Second is the resort itself: clean, beautiful (coati, swans, flamingos, peacocks and hens, etc) well laid out. Third is food: too much of it, beautiful presenta [... read more]
Ocean Coral by H10: Good resort some issues
The resort itself was really nice - the rooms were well kept and clean. However the restaurants were difficult to eat at (they don't allow reservations but what they don't tell you is that you have to wait in line up to an hour to put your name on a list - yet it's not a reservation - just to be told you *might* get seated before the restaurant closes. This could have been communicated better as we specifically asked about making reservations at the front desk you were assured they were not need [... read more]
Grand Palladium Vallarta: Great week
Great location and beach lots of place for long walks . Restaurant are all good. Beeper system at restaurants is great idea.Waves are fun but watch out for rocks when they push you in!! Have lots of chairs
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Too bad
It is too bad that a beautiful destination vacation has to be ruined by sub-standard food! Generally most was overcooked, and quite criminal that crabs had been sacrificed for no reason, as they were inedible. The grounds were nice, the weather was perfect!
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: LOVED the resort
We enjoyed our stay at this resort and would go back without any hesitation. The grounds were beautiful! The food was very good in the ala carte restaurants as well as the buffet. The rooms were clean and we had no complaints with our accommodations. The beach area was the only negative of our trip but we knew that from tripadvisor when we booked.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Excellent hotel- still some teething pains to over
Accommodations were superb as were the food choices. Staff were very gracious and accommodating and most issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. However, it does seem that most of the shade umbrellas are in the Diamond or Hideaway sections. I don't mind going down early to reserve an umbrella, but if there are few or none to reserve, that does become an issue. There were only 4 umbrellas in our section and at least 25 in the Diamond section. Granted they do pay a little more, but shade is [... read more]
