Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great week at GBP Tulum!

We really like the resort (I have stayed at Coba so was familiar with the complex). It's not perfect - we found that our private buffet (in the Club Diamond upgrade area) ran out of certain food and plates occasionally, and the service was a bit slow, but really it didn't bother us too much. We had a beautiful room, 3rd floor overlooking the ocean, and when we arrived there was a bottle of sparkling wine and rose petals on the bed (I had emailed the resort to ask for a nice room and their response was a generic "we have recorded your preferences", so it was a nice surprise.). The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The two a la cartes were great, and you can go over to Coba to eat at their restaurants, which we did. There are lots of activities and evening entertainment, can't comment too much as we didn't participate. All in all it was a great week and we're pretty laid back so the little issues didn't matter. I have found that the GBP hotels seem to be the best bang for your buck at that price level.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Thoroughly impressed!

This resort is excellent. Staff, accommodations, food and atmosphere. Food is good, but don't bother with seafood. Worst meal of the week. Salmon was served at room temp, which is worrysome, and my dish came undercooked. There are two distinct sections. One we called quiet , and the other a more party atmosphere. Both sections have their pros but we preferred the quiet area near building 6,7 and 8. The beach was disappointing. The beach is no reflection of Blue Bay though. OverLl this resort is one I would recommend to friends and family.

Tesoro Ixtapa: Ixtapa is Amazing

The hotel is nice, very clean, and the staff make the hotel! Everything is very well kept, security is very aware of what is happening and working all of the time to make sure guests are looked after. Wait staff on the beach were fabulous!! The buffet was ok - the a la Carte much better, but I don't come her for the food. I go to Ixtapa for the weather, the beach, and the fact that you can walk almost anywhere you want to go here.

Casa Velas: Beyond our Expectations!

Have stayed in a lot of 5 star resorts and Casa Velas is certainly at the top of the list. Staff were wonderful. Rooms were roomy. Food was excellent. Beautiful property. Sweet little beach club. What more could you want?

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful resort

The resort was fabulous: beautiful grounds, rooms, very friendly and helpful staff and fantastic food. Best all-inclusive vacation I have had and I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone I know!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Excellent Resort

This hotel is visually beautiful, the beds were like a dream, the room awesome clean and comfortable. The shower had a double rain shower, a seat, and a hand held, the jacuzzi tub awesome. Restaurants were amazing, food was delicious. The only issue I had was the beach was murky and weedy and I am a beach lover. If you want a better beach go to Cancun or further south in Mayan Riviera

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Valntin Imperial Maya

This hotel is fantastic. From the amazing gardens/surroundings to the beautiful rooms, to the amazing staff to the fabulous food to the fantastic pools to the pristine beach. I don't have enough good things to say about this resort

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Will definitely return next year

When you walk in from the street it is like entering an oasis. Great food. Very clean. Quaint. Well maintained. Great bar tenders Ola Pedro ! Fantastic experience.We had a room on the first floor away from the pool. Nice and quiet. Room 124

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Huge resort

First time in Mexico. We loved it! Resort was huge! Everything was extremely clean, rooms grounds, etc. Staff were excellent! It is quite a way to the beach (five minute drive) but shuttles are excellent. We mainly hung out by the pool. They were never crowded and we never had any trouble getting a lounge chair. Also enjoyed the food. Ate at the coba main buffet and also the other resort tullum main buffet. A la cartes were also great:)

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: great vacation spot

Pools were great- whole family loved lazy river. There is a nice quiet one if you want or lots of activities at other 2.If you are a like long walks on beach or out in ocean this may not be the right spot for you. Very rustic - beautiful, but because of all the large rock area not good for long walks. 2 beautiful small spots- great for small children just wanting to play in sand. It is a nice spot for snorkeling-IF you get a very calm day-if not crazy waves. The food was average to other resorts [... read more] we've been to -we have been to Grand bahia's, Riu's, beaches and a few others. Buffet did nice selection. Almost impossible to get into a la cartes. It is also book through concierge.( One in each building) Don't let them fool you - you can book at front desk which is better cause concierge is also there time share people!!!!! This is the one thing that really bugged me. Rooms were big ,room service was very nice. Never had any issues with our stay at all. Grounds were gorgeous!!! Monkeys toucans, raccoons ,and another few animals I cant remember the name of. Restaurant service was slow but most staff were very friendly Great family vacation. We don't like to go to same place twice but I would definitely use there resorts again.!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing resort.

This resort was perfect for us. It was just the right size and laid out very well. It was clean, the service was excellent, the food was great. I loved the proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly. You had the choice of spending your time on the sandy beach or at one of the refreshing pools. You also had a choice of going to the party pool, the kiddy pool or the combination pool. Great kids program. And great entertainment throughout the day and evening.

Samba Vallarta: Very relaxing quiet resort!!

I found the staff at this resort to be top notch! The grounds were kept immaculate! My only suggestion for this resort would be to improve a little on the food. Other than that, it was amazing!! The location was great as there was so much to do right in the vicinity!

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Beautiful Destination

The RIU Palace was a beautiful resort. The hotel was very clean and the service was fast and friendly. The food was good and the drinks were great. Definitely worth the upgrade to stay at the Palace!!

Presidente Intercontinental: awesome holiday

the hotel was great centrally located on the beach and across the road from entertainment, shopping, restaurants. The food at the hotel was typical Mexican the breakfasts were the best. The staff was great as always not my first trip to this hotel. Note the ocean is not swimmable most times high waves, but a great beach to walk.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great kid`s resort!!

Just got back from our 1 week stay at Crown Paradise and it was great! You have to realize you are going to a 4* resort and adjust your expectations, the rooms are a bit dated but very well cleaned and comfortable! The staff is very friendly and helpful and do the best they can to help, some expect to be waited on hand and foot (you need to pay much more for this service!!!). Isla Mujeres Palace: Great Quite Vacation for Adults

My wife and I were desperate to get out of the cold and made a last minute decision to head south. The agent at Trip Central gave us several options that met our criteria and budget. Isla Mujeres Palace met and exceeded all our criteria. The service was fantastic. Staff was not just friendly like most resorts, but honestly really good at their jobs. The facilities were top notch, clean, well maintained and plenty of amenities that made the trip memorable. Things that would normally make me crin [... read more]ge about those huge resorts like walking 20 minutes to get to the gym, pool, beach, or one of a couple of dozen buffet lines or getting up at 6am to get a chair and some shade on the beach only to find out that a 1000 other people beat us to it, weren't an issue here. With only 60 rooms, the place is intimate without being small. There were no lines for anything. We could sleep in, have a casual morning with a light breakfast in bed with room service, work our way down to the restaurant for something more substantial after a short snooze and hit the beach or the pool at our leasure and always be guaranteed a lounge chair, umbrella or palm tree. And always within minutes have someone asking if we needed anything. The food was good. I've had better but comparing the rotating menu to the buffet slop I've had at other resorts in Cuba or DR, this was a real treat. We took advantage of the Chef's Table one night, which really was spectacular, as was the romantic dinner for two on the beach. We took advantage of the 1500 point resort credits and used them for diving, spa treatments and special dinners, all of which were well worth the taxes we paid for each. If there was one thing I had to pick that I was not crazy about, it would be the swimming area on the beach. The water is very shallow (nothing above the waist) and there is only a relatively small sandy area surrounded by seaweed patches and rocks. But if you are going in to cool off and splash about, it's more than adequate. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for anyone who doesn't want loud music, screaming kids or endless buffets. It's quiet but not staid, fun but not crazy, and relaxing without being boring. Close proximity to town and other attractions round out the benefits of this place. We'd go back!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Disappointing for a Karisma Resort

Resort and grounds very nice. Rooms very comfortable, especially the bed. Beach area is small and gets quite congested. Pools are very cold. The food was the big let down. We've stayed at other Karisma resorts and found the food worthy of the Gourmet Inclusive title Karisma resorts advertise. Azul Fives fails to live up to the "Goumet" claim. Food is OK, you won't starve, but has a lot of work to do on this end of their service. If you want a very nice resort with reasonable, but hardly gourmet  [... read more]food, this would be a good choice.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Great place

Great spacious rooms, large bathrooms we had a wonderful view from our room in the pueblo nubes (cloud) section. Lots of food choices and al a cartes were very good, service was wonderful for us anyway. We stayed two weeks feb 20-mar 6. Weather was hot and not a drop of rain. It is not a resort for people with walking difficulties as it is very hilly and lots of stairs they do provide shuttle service which u can catch at many different spots on the resort. All in all wonderful place would recomm [... read more]end it for sure. The only issue was the entertainment they should be on a 2 week schedule with more shows as they repeat after the first week.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Amazing Resort. Tremendous staff and facilities.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Sirenis, and it did not disappoint! The resort is beautiful, the beach delightful, and the staff incredible. [They are terrific with food allergies!]

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Ok Except for a Couple of Incidents

Our stay at the Blue Bay was ok with the exception of the following: A mess up at Cancun airport. We did not receive bus chits from Trip Central so we were running around like two very exhausted, overheated chickens trying to find a ride to the hotel. Worked out in the end. Not enough towels even after communicating our requirements with the housekeeper. Some days we had a mat for the inside and outside of the shower.....some days we did not. Asked for extra hangers during our first week. The [... read more]y didn't show up until about four days before we left during the second week. My friend inadvertently left a skirt on her bed when we left the room for the day. when we came back, the skirt had disappeared. We talked to lobby staff who talked to our maid. Funny.....no one knew anything about it. Interesting how the maid was hopefully the only person to enter the room other than ourselves and the skirt just melted away somewhere. Then the day before we left, I had left a bottle of nail enamel by my bed so that I would remember to polish my nails. That evening.....I couldn't find the nail polish! I noticed something odd....a reddish dried blob on the floor by my bed and later a red mark on my sheets. This was on the far side of the bed....so the polish was carried across the room. Obviously, the maid decided to help herself to my nail polish and the bottle broke! Nothing said to me at all. Nada! The beach is not at all great.....lots of seaweed and crud. Laying on the beach one day, we enjoyed the sound of a tractor going back and forth raking up seaweed....not good. The French restaurant was excellent....the others were a wash. This was talked about by many of the tourists. Other than those concerns, the trip and the staff at the Grand Esmeralda are excellent!
