Showing her age

Overall disappointing to see the hotel charged $50 usd a day for a resort fee when it had to do with housekeeping and use of the gym facilities and Wi-Fi when the housekeeping never came, even though we called a few times Wi-Fi was sporadic and who uses the gym when they go to Vegas? I also had an incident where the soap dispensers were leaking. when we arrived into the room, there was soap all over the bathroom floor and all over the countertop we had called to ask for someone to come and help [... read more] clean it up and provide toiletries based on the soap that was empty. when we return to our room, there was a bag on the floor with supplies for us and more towels to clean it ourselves, the soap was not cleaned up. I tipped the front desk $40 US to provide us with a room that was joining and also a better view of the strip and we were given a room that stared right into the horseshoe. Overall. Disappointed.

Good time

Hotel was clean and actually quiet in the hallways most of the time, beds where comfortable all the pools where closed except one but they looked like they will be great when they reopen. The koi , sucks, flamingos and turtles were great to see...

Not a complaint

Great location, center strip. Good access to Linq Promenade for affordable eats and pubs. Price was right. Other resorts have extra glitz but I prefer old school Vegas and Flamingo fit the bill. This was my 7th trip to Vegas and honestly this was my favourite hotel to date.

Great place!

Upon arriving for check in we were greated with excellent service by the staff. All were pooite and welcoming as well as very engaging with answering our questions. Check in was quick and efficient. Although we were about 1hr early for their recommended check in time, they found us a room abd off we went with bo extra fees. We were offered an upgrade, however kindly declined as we would not be spending much time in the room as our stay was for 3 nights. Once we made it ip to our room, we were pl [... read more]easantly surprised, it was VERY clean and AC worked wonders! All the resort is clean throughout. Staff are exceptional, even with having guests smoking on/in resort grounds, there is very little odor to such. We have tried the food court, which is good for a quick bite, but we must highlight the service and food at Carlos’n Charlies’s, we kept returning!! All in all, we would return 100%! Very pleased with our stay!

Fabulous Resort!

Just returned from the Flamingo resort. My daughter and I were there for my Birthday June 15th - 22nd. We had an awesome time there!! The hotel was Awesome ? Everyone was so helpful. The rooms were clean and provided all the things that you needed. We stayed in a flamingo Room and had a lovely view of the Go Pool ? Our fridge kept our drinks super cold. Beds are comfortable. The wifi is super fast and the daily housekeeping service was very good ? Lots of towels and wash cloths daily, toilet t [... read more]issue,kleenex, new cups and toiletries. You NEED to visit this hotel it was fantastic and on future visits I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!! Hotel was ok

The rooms were nice, the staff not customer centered, I wasn't provided info on bell desk, waited in long lines to ask questions. Whereas other hotels the employees eager to respond and assist. Could not sit at poolside unless paid for seat, people reserved with towels and spent most of the day away from pool.

Mostly positive experience

The second night in Vegas my husband's wallet was stolen somewhere between our hotel elevator and a nearby restaurant. At first the lady at the front desk was helpful telling us we could use our room phone at no charge to cancel our credit and debit cards, etc. When I was having some trouble and went back to the desk for more help she became very rude like I'd already used my allotment of support and now she was just annoyed by us. The next morning when I went back to the front desk to ensure we [... read more] weren't charged for the calls, another incredibly rude lady informed me that i was charged and there was nothing that could be done about it. She was instantly rude the second I walked up to the desk despite not having met me before or knowing why I was coming to talk to her. I was directed to talk to billing so I phoned them and they directed me back to the front desk. I managed to locate a manager who ended up being very kind and helpful. He was empathetic about out situation and removed all the phone charges from our bill. Lesson learned, don't bother talking to the front desk for help, go straight to management. Apart from the front desk the hotel was great. Very clean, really nice cleaning staff, nice rooms, beautiful pool and nice atmosphere. Great location as well on the older side of the strip.

Awesome trip

it was very clean and uplifting while being there. felt like home. very friendly workers. recieved alot of help from staff from all restaurants and floor of casino. met many different people from all over the world. it was fun going to visit different places . We enjoyed going to meet rick from pawn stars and hells kitchen for a meal. we also enjoy the two cirque de soleil. we spent time at the sphrere and we also enjoyed time at the hockey game and vegas even won woohoo.

Poor customer service

the hotel grounds and amenities were great, nice room but the resort fees, check in and service level were gouge, terrible. Check in was under Terry not Sylvie causing a very long wait and frustration. not enough staff at hotel to help people. very very poor check in. No human interaction was very disgusting.

Not impressed

Although the Flamingo is my favourite hotel, I was not impressed this time whatsoever. I had to argue with them 3 days in a row, to have them clean my room. It wasn’t cleaned nor were towels were brought in, and the garbage was not changed. The fire alarm went off during the last night before we left and the day before we were leaving, I ended up sick with the flu. 2 nights in a row people were screaming down the halls. I love the Flamingo but this time upset me. I will still go back because [... read more] we’ve been so many times but it was not a good experience at all!

Flamingo Amazing Hotel

Clean and gorgeous Hotel. Location is perfectly located for walking distance. I would recommend Just one thing missing is the coffee machine in the rooms. Julia at Trip central is a pearl. she gave us all the information and help required to organized our first time in Vegas. Thanks again

Great location

Our stay was great, the location is key the value for our money was excellent. We loved that it was mid strip and had so many great places right close by ie food, entertainment and shopping. I will definitely be staying here again!

Great resort

The hotel is great. From the doorman to the person who serviced your room. The room was clean and bright. The Go pool is great fun on a very hot day. I had breakfast at the Mexican restaurant and had a great Mexican omelet. Checking out was easy just did it on the tv. I would stay again at the Flamingo it was very pleasant.

We had a blast!

The trip was so affordable through TripCentral we couldn’t resist. The hotel staff at reception were great and upgraded our room at no extra charge. Really great view. Perfect location to access everything on the strip. Rooms were clean, pool was fun. Drinks are pricey so either bring extra money or get your own at CVS.

Fun resort and middle of the strip

The Flamingo is a smaller very central hotel. It's near all the great restaurants and beside the linq promenade. The casino is good. The room is clean and the bed was comfortable. Remember that this is a 3.5 star hotel. The carpet on the 22 floor hallway is a little big for the floor but who cares. I recommend this hotel.

Nice Place

The room was very clean & the bed was so comfy. Great view of the habitat from the 9th floor. I was charged 39.00 extra per day (x 4) for a resort fee that I wasn't aware of at the time of booking. So going to Vegas is out for us now cause it was more expensive than we thought. Food was over the top .....expensive.

Perfect Spot!

The Flamingo staff was very welcoming and sweet from the front desk to the servers to the maintenance staff!! Perfect spot on the strip where you could go in any direction or stay right in the middle of the action!!

Great Place

You can see that there working on updating the place. New restaurants & coffee shops are easy to find. The sanctuary out back with real Flamingos was an extra bonus to check out. No problem checking in or out, will be back for sure

Nice place

The Flamingo is an excellent location, attractive, well staffed and clean. The rooms are very nice. The bird sanctuary is not to be missed. The buffet is average, I recommend to avoid the coffee in the buffet. The resort fee is a little irritating. It included local calls but not toll-free calls. I got charge for a call when inquiring on the rewards card in the exact hotel. That drove me crazy but otherwise a great stay.

Great location, mediocre resort

The Flamingo Las Vegas was a comfortable enough hotel, but certainly not somewhere we wanted to spend a lot of time. The rooms are updated, but the beds are hard and there was mould in the caulking around the shower. We were not given the room we booked when we checked in, so we ended up changing rooms on our second day. Not a big deal, but a little annoying. Also upon checking in (at 7:00pm) we were harassed by staff wanting to sign us up for a tourism presentation that would give us ticket [... read more]s to a show. We were exhausted and just wanted to get settled. However, we did sign up. It was sold to us as a presentation over a nice breakfast - 2 hours maximum. The next day we went to the presentation and it turned out to be almost four hours and it was a high pressure sales tactic to get us to purchase a $20,000 timeshare. But, we did get Cirque du Soleil tickets out of it! The casino in the hotel is similar to the others. When you go to some of the other properties (the Mirage, New York, New York, the Venetian) you can see that the Flamingo has little to offer in terms of "flash". We were not there when the pools were open, so perhaps if that section of the resort had been open (we were there in January), it might have had a greater impact. We also had to pay the full resort fee of $40 a day even though the pools were closed. We had a very bad experience in the casino as my purse was stolen. That could happen anywhere. How it reflected on the Flamingo was how poorly the staff responded. I was very disappointed in their lack of care and concern for an event that basically ruined our vacation. It took calls from our travel agent to the hotel for any kind of gesture to be made to try and improve our trip. Overall, if you are just looking for a place to sleep and it's a cheap option, it's not terrible.
