Honest review of Bay Gardens Hotel

As the hotel is on the busy main street it was quite noisy with traffic at times. The layout was nice and easy-to-use but stepping up to get to the main eating area may be difficult for those with knee or hip issues. The design of some of the rooms encircle around the inside of the hotel so any entertainment using a microphone was heard and very loud. The location was within walking distance to grocery stores, some banks and mall shopping. Taxi's are cheap and are the best way to see areas of interest.

Very nice hotel

The hotel is clean, with nice food, friendly staff and close to a beautiful beach! There is a shuttle bus to the beach every hour or alternatively 15 minutes walk is a good option. 5 minutes walk from the Hotel is a large shopping mall and CIBC bank.

Cozy and friendly resort!

First of all, they have shuttles every hour, taking guests to the beach. We preferred to walk, as a good exercise. 1.5 km one way, not too long a trip but sometimes there are no sidewalks and the scenery is not the greatest. The beach at the sister hotel (the Beach Resort) is very nice. After 10:00 one may not find available umbrellas, but beach chairs are plenty. The sand and water are great. The rooms are kind of tired but very clean. It's not luxurious but one has all the basics well covered. Beds are absolutely the most comfy. No big problem with mosquitoes, even with all the rain we had daily. Careful with the cute cats roaming around the premises, they are lovely but full of flies. Even for All Inclusive plans, except Breakfast, most meals are a la carte. Fantastic food, however, be prepared to wait a little. Anyway, staff is extremely friendly and helpful. With or without tipping, they will do their best to assist.

Nice resort and good location

Hotel is close to everything , grounds, rooms and shuttle service was great. Food was good and staff was friendly. They also had karaoke on 2 nights for entertainment. It was also a bonus to use the facilities at their bay gardens beach resort, which staff were eager to help set up chairs and unbrellas. Would go to the Bay gardens hotel again.

Great Hotel and Friendly, Helpful Staff

We had a quick check-in and were accommodated with a ground floor room. We were located away from the renovations. The grounds are immaculately manicured and maintained, and very nicely landscaped. Our inclusive breakfast provided us with several choices, as well as a custom ordered (made in front of us) omelette. Staff were very attentive. We had the use of their sister hotel resort and spa on the beach with a shuttle between. Pleasant hotel with nearby shopping

Hotel grounds are well kept. It is an oasis in the busy town. There are 3 pools and they are generally uncrowded. More umbrellas are needed as shade is minimal. Included breakfast was very good. Reduit Beach is a 15-20 minute walk. Shuttle available but does not start until 9:30 am. Best to get to beach early as it becomes very crowded when cruise ships are in Castries.

Bay Gardens Hotel

The hotel staff was friendly from the moment we arrived. Gorgeous flowers around the property. The rooms were very clean and fresh. We enjoyed our stay very much as well as the beach at their sister property the Bay Garden Beach Resort and Spa a 15 minute walk or 5 minute shuttle ride away. We would definitely go back!

My wife and I are seasoned travelers having stayed at everything from the Ritz Carlton down to simple B&B's. The Bay Gardens Hotel was everything that we were hoping for. A small property in the heart of Rodney Bay , yet still a quiet and tranquil retreat. Several small buildings nestled around three separate pools with nicely manicured grounds. Thursday night was the Manag [... read more]er's cocktail party with complimentary drinks and snacks. A nice touch to meet and interact with all the staff. This is a small resort but very comfortable. Lots of dining options or grocery stores within a ten minute walk of the Hotel. The beach is an easy 10-15 minute walk or 15-20 minute walk to the Bay Gardens Resort were you can use the chairs, order drinks ect and charge it back to your room . There is also an hourly free shuttle if you ordered one too many of those drinks. There is also a water taxi next to the resort if you want to go over to Pigeon Point / Island or the local bus gets you pretty close as well. Staff is friendly, helpful, polite and courteous. In summary if we return to Rodney Bay we will stay here again>

Great small hotel with a large presence

The Bay Gardens Hotel was an excellent choice for our last minute winter getaway. Aside from the very reasonable cost of our trip, we were totally amazed at how beautifully maintained the grounds were. Although the rooms are somewhat dated, they were very clean. The staff are the best I have ever encountered anywhere - the fact that there was no language barrier probably helped. The walk to the sister resort on the beach was not bad (about 15 minutes at a leisurely pace) but when it got too hot  [... read more]the shuttle option was perfect and relatively punctual. The breakfast that was included was better than we expected. Always fresh fruit available and eggs cooked to order. The restaurant was very good and not overly pricey. We did save some money by walking 5 minutes to one of 2 grocery stores. The one near the Royal Bank is better. We only stayed one week and will definitely be back.

Great Place

We had a wonderful, peaceful time. The staff are wonderful, especially Margaret,(thanks Margaret) , she kept our place so neat and clean. The pool at the back was great, we had it to ourselves a lot of the time.

If you are looking for a clean friendly hotel, you have found it. Keep in mind - it is not on the beach. But the hotel offers free shuttle service to access the beach at their sister hotel. If you care to walk to the beach it is only a short 10 min walk. There are many shops and restaurants very close by. There are 3 grocery stores within easy walking distance. We picked up roasted chicken at one of the grocery stores for $12.00 CDN. There are 3 pools.
