In conclusion, despite a few positive aspects, this experience was quite disappointing.
Overall, our stay was okay. The food was good, and the service was acceptable. However, several aspects of our experience were disappointing.
First, we specifically requested a room with a King bed, but we were informed that it depended on availability and was at the hotel's discretion. We had no other option, which was frustrating.
Additionally, the first night, we had Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel, but starting the next day, the connection was only available in the lobby. Despite[... read more] multiple requests, we were simply told all week that they were working on resolving the issue, but nothing improved.
Finally, the most disappointing part happened at our departure. Although our flight was scheduled for 2:00 PM, our all-inclusive bracelet was removed at noon during check-out. This meant we no longer had access to lunch or the bar to get water. This situation left a very bitter taste and ruined the end of our stay.
In conclusion, despite a few positive aspects, this experience was quite disappointing. Due to these issues, I will not return to this hotel.

Improved from last visit. Great Location
My husband and I visited for 2 weeks at the beginning of February 2023. We have been to this hotel several times before, but not since Wyndham took over. We were very pleased.
Highlights: snorkeling right out front of the hotel. Coral wall was as amazing as ever, except for near the entry. I swam to the left from there to almost the pier.
Food improved since our last visit. Buffet pretty good, but as usual, a bit repetitive. Fresh papaya and pineapple daily were delicious. Wish they would[... read more] have had flan more often. Husband happy with bacon from grill (if he asked Virgilio.) Cornelio and Miguel both outstanding waiters, some of the other staff could be more attentive. Coffee was terrible, very weak, it used to be so delicious there! We started to get cappuccinos instead. Usually, they were better. Snack bar no longer was a buffet, but rather was cook to order. Keira and Luisa happily took orders and food was fresh and quite tasty. Loved the shrimp quesadillas. There were some special meals, like a fish fry one day at lunch on the beach with live music and one evening there was a Mexican night at the Gran Salon. I wish we would have known about these in advance, as we missed these special meals a couple of times.
Beds as hard as ever, which is my preference. The hotel itself requires repairs, which repairmen are seen doing almost daily.
I enjoyed interacting with the activity staff. Excellent Spanish lessons and stretching classes, from Iyuli and Alonso, and Juanita and I taught each other. Gabriel refereed the very fun pool volleyball, which I loved! They also did a fabulous night show with lights and shadows. I especially loved the shadow dancing! So talented, Iyuli!
The hotel has a policy of cutting off armbands at noon, even if the guest's flight is much later. This is a very poor policy. Hopefully, the management will reconsider this. Also, apparently smoking is no longer permitted in public places in Mexico. (I am surprised by that, I would be surprised if that won't affect tourism.)
We had an amazing time, a very enjoyable 2 weeks.
I would love to return.

Excellent staff
The staff did an excellent job keeping the grounds, pool and public areas spotless. The restaurants were also spotless and the food was plentiful with a wide variety to choose from. Rooms were also cleaned thoroughly. Staff super friendly and very accommodating.

Not what we were expecting.
Such a disappointing week in February 2018. We have been there at least five times and thought we knew exactly what to expect, which was a basic 'resort' close to town, excellent and friendly service, good food and fabulous snorkeling on site. That was not our experience this visit.
The food was so unappealing due to the rehashing of dishes. For example, refried beans which were good on day one for lunch and supper were less good on day two, mushy looking for the next 2 meals and then appeare[... read more]d as soup the next day. I actually got stomach flu and stayed in bed for a whole day of our trip.
I am not sure what happened to the snorkeling. The coral wall seemed very damaged and, in fact, the old snorkeling area has been relocated to the other side of the pier. They have actually built a shallow area with a breakwater you can swim over, which was a good idea.
The wait staff were largely sullen and seemingly unhappy, demoralized and disenfranchised. The only staff that seemed happy were the activity staff. ( I did especially enjoy my Spanish lessons, con muchas gracias, Alonso!)
This resort used to be our favorite in Cozumel, but no longer.
