Excellent hotel

We had a lovely, relaxing seven nights at the Alohilani at the end of February. Wow, was it a windy week, but otherwise it was delightful. The pool bar area is spacious and comfortable, and we spent more time there than at the beach (remember: windy!). Like a lot of Waikiki, food and drink can be a bit pricey, and the resort fee is also fairly steep (US$48 a day). But the rooms, services and amenities are all very good, and the huge lobby oceanarium is a great touch.
