Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Incredible Experience

What a wonderful week of fabulous food, great service, and amazing accommodations.. The service was outstanding and we always felt that people would go out of their way to help. The proximity to the golf course was exceptional as one of the reasons we stayed at this resort was the course close by. This is our 5th time visiting this resort and I am confident we will return.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: A beautiful spot

This resort is quite lovely and we were impressed. The resort has a focus on wellness…..it has a beautiful reception area, immaculate grounds, amazing food and beach area. We were impressed with the quality and variety of food, cleanliness of restaurants, friendly staff and well maintained rooms. Pickup on shuttles was timely. It was not difficult to immerse yourself in the mindfulness. and beauty of this place. Apparently the spa is lovely but not our thing; sales were high pressure. We [... read more] experienced difficulty finding our transfer time and the staff were not able to help….a bus for Sunwing just happened to show up. There was not a rep on site.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Awesome Resort

Grounds: were beautiful Rooms: were nice, we had pool view on the preferred side. Beach: nicely kept. the downside is the seaweed, but that cant be helped Food: Very good! I like the no reservation required. We never waited more than 20 min to get in. If you want a/c while you eat, you need preferred This is by for one of the best resorts we've been to and would go back next year.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Cozy beautiful resort.

Beautiful grounds with different palms, blooming trees.It was like a small Zoo: ponds with interesting different fish, ducks, flamingos. Peacock wandering around.Especially we liked our walks to the lobby along the way surrounded by mangrove trees, small ponds and lawns, where we could meet iguanas, interesting birds, turtles. The pools were good maintained, but we prefer the beach. The beach was nice, with palms, you could find a free sunbed for yourself any time. The food was very-very good and tasty. We could find everything for us every time. We did not go to any a-la cart restaurants. We used the buffet only. It was more convenient for us, because we were with a small grandchild. The only inconvenience were the sea weeds, but we manage to swim a lot in the very warm ocean water. The people, working in the resort were very attentive, friendly and hard working! Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Great resort

Hotel, grounds, pool, food were all excellent. The only complaint would be that many children were out of control, running around the buffet, grabbing and touching food while parents seemed to be unaware. Not the resorts fault of course, but annoying. Was almost tripped by kids running around. There should be more supervision by hotel staff. Also, the rooms were in need of upgrading, flooring was buckled in places. Perhaps there should be an adults only section.

Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

The resort is very accessible for anyone with mobility issues. Rooms are very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the restaurants and room service. The preferred club was worth the extra cost. Room location and the butler service was excellent. The beach is an enjoyable walk. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Resort is 1.5 hours from the airport that is the only downfall.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Worst experience ever !

Poor experience. The rooms have virtually no sound insulation, making it very difficult to sleep due to noise from neighboring rooms and floors above. The dining experience was equally disappointing, as Royalton Splash guests appear to have fewer restaurant options and lower-quality food choices than guests staying at Royalton Punta Cana. The resort creates the impression that Splash guests are second-class customers. Would not recommend.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Average to Good

Good things: 1.There was no shortage in fruits for buffets and there were enough breakfast options. 2. Nice Greek ala carte restaurant. 3. Showers at the beach were working good 4. Towel handling at the beach were friendly, however some towels had small stains which is ok and normal as long as they are clean 5. Swimming pools were nice however there were many dirty stuff in them that was from the users so It is normal to see those. 6. Internet was good in the area except for the beach which is normal. 8. Rogers roaming had no issue at all in the resort and also in the region. 9. Hard working staff were almost all nice mannered. Bad things: 1.More than 95% of the foods were not tagged their content in English. 2. Even though the room was renovated there were plenty of spiders. 3. The ocean water was full of seaweed and the water was mixed with too much sand and therefore it was not pleasant at all to swim or snorkel. some days the beach was smelling like toilet too. 4. There were too many local merchants at the beach and some of them were not morally good people, some of them were extremely pushy to sell you stuff that you don't need. 5. Even some of the people from the resort did not have good behavior if you did not buy their packages after they explained to us. 6. The best food I liked there was pizza and that means a lot. It means if a restaurant does not have enough good food you would end up going for French fries and pizza, however I would not say that it was bad however they could put a bit more effort to make the dishes better. 7. Ala carte restaurant of Mexican was just ok a bit salty, The Mongolian was very good except that a piece of broken plate was found in her food after biting it she found out. 8. Room temperature was not greatly controlled it is either too cold or you have to turn it off. But this problem existed in a few other places that we were in the past. 9. Fast food at the beach closes too early 10. On the arrival at the airport it was not very easy to find our shuttle. 11. At the registry of the first minutes of arrival I am expecting that sales men do not approach us too much so we can get to our room and get some rest in that hot climate. 12. some nights was for sales men to have their jewelry demonstrating on the desks for sale, they were also a bit pushy too. 13. We were buying this package under the assumption that we were allowed to use one more buffet of a different resort but that did not happen. Might be our mistake. I don't have time to go back and check all the papers. 14. We also were not allowed to go and check at least one of the other resorts for their night programs. Our night entertainment was just ok. Yet I appreciate their effort.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Relaxing Vacation

This resort was clean, nice rooms, comfortable beds, great assortment of delicious foods and friendly staff. I especially loved the ala carte restaurants! No need to book. Just show up in casual dress. The Mexican Restaurant was the best! I recommend the chicken fajitas!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: NOT Great....

our room smelled of sewage even after they claimed they fixed the toilet there is ZERO service if you don't speak spanish you are ignored buffet food is mediocre ... the specialty resturants were good but again NO SERVICE the pools are great the weather good no rain but very very humid

TRS Turquesa: Below average

Staff was unaware of the menu options and dietary guidelines. I almost fell Ill because wrong dishes were served which had all ingredients which I was allergic to. I had to personally inspect the dish. Staff didn’t know anything.Most of the bartenders were rude. Felt out of place since we didn’t know Spanish. Felt discriminated. Room service was extremely poor. Orders were didn’t delivered all night. Butlers at our building was never available. Over all trip was disappointing.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great resort all inclusive

Overall it was a great resort, the rooms were beautiful with a great balcony. The staff were nice and friendly However there was no kettle to make tea and we had to pay for hot water which was a bit absurd.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Very Nice!

Generally a clean hotel. Food was excellent at the main buffet restaurant, Japanese restaurant and also at the French restaurant. Did not go the other restaurants. Daily and evening entertainment were all excellent. Never attended any nightly shows. Beach: Lots of sea weed the first two days. Hotel did an excellent job in putting up water barriers to guide them to a designated area. Last few days the beach was very clean. Sea weed smell was still present. Ocean Blue and Sand: Disappointing food and frustrating restaurant reservations

We stayed at Ocean Blue & Sand in September 2026. I booked it because I had an excellent stay at Ocean Eden Bay in Jamaica earlier this year, and I expected a similar standard from the same brand. Sadly, the two experiences were night and day. Food: This was the biggest letdown. In both the buffet and the à la carte restaurants, food was often served cold, tasted stale, and was bland. The buffet had very few options, and the same limited selection repeated throughout our stay. I also had an u [... read more]pset stomach for most of the trip. Restaurant reservations: Booking the Japanese restaurant and the steakhouse was a daily struggle. We had to get up at 7 a.m. and try again and again just to get a table, as availability was always very limited. Yet when we finally got in, there were often plenty of empty tables, which made the whole system feel pointless. If food matters to you on an all-inclusive vacation, I'd look elsewhere. If you do book here, be ready to line up for reservations first thing every morning. The pools were nice and often clean; however, the beach was borderline unusable. There was a lot of seaweed, and the water didn't feel clean.

The people, the food and the resort were excellent The workers are so nice, the grounds and golf course were beautiful Had a wonderful time It was our third time there We will be going again next year The hotel is run very well

The hotel was great. We really enjoyed ourselves. The service, food, pool was great. The staff was always there eager to help. The room was nice a clean but a bit too cold. The beach was nice but a lot sargassum. The maintenance staff worked tirelessly to clean it up. I would recommend the BARCELO BEACH.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Room for improvement

The good: installations look good and are maintained clean. It is a large complex with two hotels (Palace and Beach), the Beach being adults only if you want a different vibe even if you stay at the Palace. There is a lot to do: disco, bowling, golf, bars, restaurants, f1 simulator, etc, but some of them are not included. The bad: the food at the buffet was bad, sometimes overcooked, sometimes tasted as it was spoiled to the point I didn’t eat it, including some of the juices they offered [... read more]. Food variety was also very weak, a lot of sausages in different preparation, if they ran out of something, they didn’t replenished or it would take forever to do so, so there were long lines for things like beef to grab some before it was gone. Chicken was always very dry and overcooked, Regarding the a la carte restaurants, they were ok, way better than the buffet, but nothing extraordinary. We went to the Italian one night and there was a roach in our seat, very bad start. I know in places with this type of weather is hard to keep insects out, but the roach at the Italian restaurant was not the only one, we spotted some more, including one in our room. We have stayed in two other hotels in Punta Cana before, no roaches at all in any of them. Some of the staff at the buffet feel like they hate being working there and that feeling is reflected in their poor service. Activities were not very good compared to other hotels. Night shows were not very impressive either. Unfortunately, the beach was full of sargassum so we couldn’t enjoy it as we wanted. Also, the smell from the sargassum can be very strong at times. I know the hotel has not much control on this other than cleaning as much as they can, but it was disappointing to find a beach that cannot be used.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Definitely a party resort

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana — Beautiful resort, but VERY loud! Sunscape Coco Punta Cana is a very pretty resort with a beautiful beach, lovely pools and wonderful staff. But there is one thing I think people absolutely need to know before booking: this is a party resort, and it is LOUD. In fact, it is the loudest resort I have ever stayed at. Of the six nights we were there, we called Security twice very late at night because people had music absolutely blaring. One of those nights also involved people arguing, crying and fighting. We eventually started wearing earplugs to bed and still regularly woke up because of the noise. It wasn’t just an occasional disturbance—it was a pretty consistent part of the experience. The room: We had a swim-out room, which was fabulous. The room itself was perfectly sufficient, and the swim-out pool was lovely and, thankfully, much quieter than the rest of the resort. The beach: Absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the seaweed was extremely prominent during our stay. The water was basically a murky tea colour, it smelled, and we couldn’t bring ourselves to go swimming in it. This is apparently a seasonal issue, so it’s not something the resort can really control. We enjoyed sitting by the beach and taking in the view, but did all of our swimming in the pools. The beach vendors are fairly aggressive. You just have to be assertive.  The pools: Clean and enjoyable. Our swim-out pool was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The food: I’ll give them an A for effort. They clearly work hard to make the food look appealing and offer plenty of variety. But honestly, the food was just okay—maybe one step above what I’ve experienced at some Cuban resorts, but not much. There were things we enjoyed, but overall, food was not a highlight of the trip. Definitely go to the restaurants in the evening if you can.  The staff: This is where the resort really shines. The staff worked incredibly hard and were genuinely wonderful. Many employees didn’t speak much English, so I found myself wishing I had brushed up on my very rusty Spanish! We tipped very generously throughout our stay because we really appreciated the effort everyone put in: $5 at dinner, $1 at breakfast and lunch, $1 to the gentleman who made my egg-white omelettes, $1 whenever we got drinks, $5 for expedition bus drivers, $20 for the boat captains & crew, $5 a day for our room cleaner, and even $1 whenever I exchanged money at the front desk. $1 for anyone who helped me with my suitcase. Everyone seemed to appreciate it, and we were treated wonderfully. Excursions: We did an expedition that was an all-day adventure to Saona Island and a lot of fun. It involved quite a bit of travelling to get there, but we really enjoyed it. We also went paragliding, which was both fun and scary as hell! Definitely an experience I won’t forget. Overall, I’m glad we experienced Sunscape Coco Punta Cana. It’s a beautiful resort, the swim-out room was fantastic, the staff were wonderful, and we had some really fun experiences. Would I return? Probably not—and the reason is almost entirely the noise. I can handle a lively resort, but the level of nighttime noise was just too much for me. So my biggest piece of advice is: if you want a party, music, activity and a lively atmosphere, Sunscape Coco Punta Cana could be a great fit. If you want a quiet, relaxing vacation where you can sleep peacefully at night, I would choose somewhere else.

Viva Miches by Wyndham: Do not rely on the photos!

This resort is a 3-star at best. While it is fairly new, it disappointed in many ways. We are both seasoned travellers in the Caribbean and would say that it did not meet expectations overall. The food quality was basic at the buffet. The a-la-carte restaurants were disappointing as most dishes were sub-par. The beach had no seaweed which was a bonus, however it was not very clean and the ocean water was murky. The pools at the resort had insufficient filtration and looked filthy. The room wa [... read more]s basic but very clean. The cleaning staff was efficient but would refill our used towels. The mattress was comfortable. We find it unacceptable for a resort to run out of rum, especially given the status it gives itself. If you are a coffee connoisseur, you may be disappointed with the Miches Cafe. The entertainment was mainly for children as it was targeted to Latin Americans who are often on vacation during this time of year (mid-September). We were pleased to see the resort’s initiative to reduce plastic waste - be prepared to carry your own water bottle and to refill it with the dispensers in the hallway. The Viva staff will undoubtedly chase you to attend their members’ meeting to sell you an upgraded status on your vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing place great people

Was my second time there and again had a great time. Food is great. Rooms were perfect had a swim up. Service was excellent Beach unfortunately was bad but not the hotel’s fault. Shows were fun.
