Costa Del Sol Long Stay Escape Partially Guided: Good location

Hotel was in a great location. Close to everything. Hotel itself was dated but very clean. Bathroom awkward and small. There are no elevators so not suitable for those with mobility issues. It was an okay hotel for the price we paid.

We had a wonderful vacation in Torremolinos and Madrid Spain. All connections were on time in comfortable vans and our accommodations at Ecuador Appartment while a bit dated were very clean and comfortable. Our travel agent Colleen Scott was extremely helpful courteous and kind while making our arrangements. One suggestion would be that our excursion to Rhonda was arranged for early the next morning after our arriving late the night before. Also our stay on Madrid was in a comfortable hotel, however the bus tour pick up area was not made clear and we wasted a whole morning of our 2 day stay trying to figure out where to get on the city tour bus.

Excellent location, less than 5 minute walk to boardwalk/beach that is seen from hotel and beside multiple restaurants, cafes and grocery stores, bus stop close. Perfect accommodation for long stays as it has a kitchen and price is reasonable and pool and area is lovely.

The place was clean and well kept. The service staff was exceptional. Few things we were shocked, we took all-inclusive only to realize after a few days it was a horrible mistake. The buffet was exactly the same for 3 meals a day... no water for breakfast... the one in jar was tap water. No coffee for lunch and dinner yet they had (same desserts) every day. You could not get bottled water until 11 am ... yet Spain grocery store sells 1.5 liters for .28 euro!! Restaurants are walking dista [... read more]nce and so is grocery store. Do not go all inclusive here cause you have to spend more money to get better food. Too bad that even other europeans on site thought same as we did... until we figured alternative plan, we actually lost weight in an all inclusive!!! 1st time in all our travel. Usually never post negative reviews but for the price of our packsge and then upgraded to all inclusive only to spend another $1k in outings cause we could not stand the food... now understand why some spaniards go to Caribbean as well.

Sol Puerto Marina: Sol Puerto Marina resirt

We stayed in this resort one week and we really enjoyed our stay there. Very convenient location , just steps from the beach and numerous restaurants and cafe. Big supermarket is also close by. Good evening shows. There is gym and spacious swimming pool.

Melia Costa Del Sol: The best hotel

Very nice hotel, excellent service, very clean rooms, front desk friendly and helpful, food implacable, nice variety and good quality. Amazing location close to everything. Great entertainment. We’ll be back again for sure.

This hotel is pretty great, I must say. Nice and well-kept grounds, public areas right outside the hotel (like the beach and beach board walk). If not right outside, a very short walk away. Like the Torremolinos city square is just 10 min walk away, where you'll also find the subway/metro station that will take you as far east as Malaga and as far west as Fuengirola where there is lots more sight-seeing to do (castle ruins, shopping, bio parcs, etc...) Food was top-notch and lots of options. Often we'd have to cut ourselves off because everything was so good and you often over-eat :p. Minor item was that although we had all our meals included as part of our package, it didn't include any drinks. You have to pay extra for wine, beer, mineral water and soft drinks at the buffet. Not a huge deal but having gone to several Club Meds and other all-inclusive resorts, it would keep the resort a bit more competitive if they included at least some drink options under the all-inclusive umbrella since other resorts often do. I'll also say, if you go in October/November like we did the weather is perfect (not to cold, not too hot). But the ocean water is icy cold. We did a few cold plunges, but you won't be swimming like you would in the summer months. The hotel has a pool as an alternative, but found they kept the temperature of it a little too cold as well. So if the hotel would heat the pool a bit more that would give a better option for the fall/winter months.

Hotel Las Arenas: Great hotel

Located in the tourist area with easy access to the beach. Hotel is newly renovated wit modern decor. We opted for 2 meals per day and the food is exceptional. Variety and quality was superb. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style. Service was very good. Pool and pool area were good with the view of the beach. Bar on the seventh floor was great, with excellent view of the area. Clientele was mostly seniors but we did see few younger families.

The hotel is conveniently located in Torrmeolinis. It's a "conference" style hotel; spread out over 2 towers, large, sterile lobby, very efficient. There's basically only 1 restaurant besides the beach bar and it's a buffet and you feel like you are in a cafeteria.. If you are a pool person, you may struggle to find a place. The rooms are small but the ocean view compensates. ABSOLUTELY must get a "LEVEL" room, their "club " floor. Certain rooms are designated LEVEL and they have upgraded  [... read more]bedding. There's a private "LEVEL" lounge self serving snacks and cocktails along with breakfast and small but lovely swimming pool. And best of all, Level concierge. Eva and Jazmen were incredible resources... The LEVEL was the highlight of the hotel. The 2 beach chairs and umbrella were cheap at 14 euros for the whole day. And Senor JORGE did an amazing job managing this area.

Sol Don Marco: Great place to stay in a fantastic location!

Great location for anyone looking to do some exploring of the surroundings. There are more than enough pools to choose from and the restaurants have a nice selection for the buffets. If you're looking for gourmet selections, this is not the place you. The food is adequate and there are plenty of restaurants just outside of the resort if you want something different. The room is nice and is the right size for those not looking to spend their time in Spain sitting in their room. The staff were fri [... read more]endly and accommodating. I would recommend this resort easily.

Melia Costa Del Sol: Great holiday, you can be as relaxed or as busy as you like!

Great location, every room has terrace with ocean view , great meals, very accommodating staff. It is very close to the airport which is also a bonus. The new rooftop pool is lovely and the ocean is across the street.

Sunset Beach Club: OK for the price

We stayed here on the 3rd week of February and it was okay for the price we paid. We’re a couple in our 20s and we’re the odd ones in the hotel in that about 95% of guests were seniors. We didn’t mind, it’s just an observation. It was our first time in Spain so we went out every day and explored so I can’t comment on the facilities. We didn’t use the pool since it was too cold to swim. From our experience the reception staff was polite and helpful. We requested to be moved to another [... read more] room since we didn’t like ours initially and they were accommodating. NO complains. We mostly ate at the Oasis restaurant and it was okay, nothing special. No problem with the staff either. My only complain is the location. It's not a walking distance to the main attractions. Just a minor inconvenience. Would I go back probably but maybe during the summer.

Melia Costa Del Sol: Good Location

Location is a plus. Across the street from the sea and right on the main passeo (boardwalk that rums for quite a few kilometers either direction. One must take the steps to get to the main square and it could be strenuous for some, but there is a lift with a nominal fee ( more difficult for those with motion problems, although many rented scooters) Public Transport easy to use and reasonably priced. Breakfast was a plus, plenty to choose from and staff was prompt with hot coffee and milk. Pool was under construction, so it was a bit noisy, but that is expected. (we were led to believe that the pool would be open by the time we arrived, but they are no where near it yet - we were there for two weeks) We were not made aware that the hotel had other resorts in the area and could have used their facilities - like the daily night entertainment that was held at the Don Pablo. We found this out by accident a few days before leaving. That is something the hotel should tell their customers.
