Any time of the year you can find non-stop, direct, connecting and charter flights to Amsterdam from Canada.
Available Scheduled Service
Direct and Non-Stop:
A lot of people like to fly direct and non-stop. They like the convenience of taking only one plane, even if it costs a little more. All year KLM has direct and non-stop flights to Amsterdam from Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. Daily flights are available from Montreal and Toronto all year. KLM flies daily from Vancouver between May and December and weekly between January and April. KLM flies multiple times each week from Calgary any time of the year.
Connecting:
Connecting flights does involve changing planes at some point on your journey. The advantages of connecting flights are more airlines and airfares to choose from. This can sometime add flexibility on departure times and you could end up with discount airfare. You will need to take connecting flights from Ottawa, Halifax and Winnipeg. You can choose to take connecting flights from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.
Available Charter Service
The advantage with charter airfare is pre-set prices. They are set the summer before. At times charter airfare is discount airfare when compared to scheduled service.
Sunwing:
Sunwing’s charter flights are available out of Toronto weekly between June and September.
Air Transat:
From January through December, Air Transat has several weekly charter flights to Amsterdam from Toronto. Air Transat also has weekly charter flights to Amsterdam from Vancouver and Calgary between May and December.
Making it Easy
The good thing is that tripcentral.ca’s flight reservations system takes the confusion out of it. It lets you see a variety of flight choices at the same time. You can track and compare non-stop, direct, connecting and charter flights. Being able to see multiple options at once makes it easy evaluate the different airfare.
The flight reservation system on tripcentral.ca highlights the cheap flights for you. It also highlights the best value airfares. This lets you compare value versus cheap flights quickly and easily. You may have wanted cheap flights but found the value flights more to your liking, or vice versa.
Finding Cheap flights
Airlines every so often make available discount airfare or have seat sales. Cheap flights usually book up quickly so try and book about four months before your trip. Sometimes discount airfare can still be found within one to three months before the departure date. Normally discount airfare books up first so to get the deals you want to book early. Booking last minute can make it difficult to find cheap flights.
Value of Seat Sales
Savings from last minute seat sales causes some people to wait on booking their tickets. They assume they will find cheap flights to Amsterdam at the last minute. The problem is that seat sales are not as common as some people expect. There is real risk waiting for seat sales. There may not be any. Ticket prices might even increase closer to the departure date. Also the flight just might sell out. Seat Sales are great way to save money, but don’t expect one when you want it.
Making your Trip Yours
This is your trip, you want the best and should compare or investigate all aspects of your trip, not just airfare. You can always call a tripcentral.ca’s travel agent and ask what they experienced on their trip. It is good to discuss the different options with someone who has actually been there. The smallest things sometimes make the biggest difference.
Your tripcentral.ca travel agent will listen and find out what is important to you. Then they will give you advice so that your whole travel experience is based on your departure, budget and comfort preferences. The focus is not on what is popular but what you actually want, whether it is discount airfare, specific locations or activities. Your experience in Amsterdam is just as valuable, if not more, than any cheap flights they might find you.
Border Cities
Occasionally discount airfare and seat sales can be found at border cities. If it is more convenient or less expensive for you to fly out of the border cities you may wish to explore that option. Just keep in mind any expenses or inconvenience involved with getting to a border city. Savings from cheap flights in border cities may not be real savings once the cost of getting to the different airports is compared. Cheap flights are only valuable if they save you money.
