Grenada: Spice of the Caribbean

Cruise into St. George’s, one of the Caribbean’s most picturesque ports, where pastel homes and red-tiled rooftops climb the hills above a brilliant turquoise bay. As you step ashore, the aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, and cocoa drifts through the air - this is the Spice Island, where nature and culture blend into an unforgettable experience.

A short ride from port brings you to Grand Anse Beach, a two-mile stretch of powdery white sand lined with calm waters, beach bars, and swaying palms. For a refreshing escape, head into the rainforest to the Annandale Waterfall or seek out Seven Sisters Waterfalls, a series of cascading pools perfect for adventurous hikers and swimmers.

Back in St. George’s, wander through bustling spice markets filled with nutmeg, cloves, cocoa, and locally made chocolate. Visit the historic House of Chocolate or tour a working cocoa farm to learn how Grenada's famed chocolate is crafted from bean to bar. Rum enthusiasts can explore the River Antoine Rum Distillery, the oldest functioning water-powered distillery in the Caribbean, for a taste of authentic Grenadian rum.

For underwater exploration, snorkel or dive the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park - an extraordinary marine gallery where coral-covered statues create an otherworldly scene beneath the waves. Kayaking, paddleboarding, and sailing excursions offer even more ways to enjoy Grenada’s sparkling coastline.

Cultural travellers can explore Fort George or Fort Frederick for panoramic views, visit the Grenada National Museum, or venture into small villages to experience friendly local hospitality and vibrant Creole traditions.

With its fragrant hillsides, colourful harbour, pristine beaches, and rich cultural heritage, Grenada captures the essence of island charm and tropical flavour - inviting every visitor to slow down, savour the moment, and embrace Caribbean life at its most delightful.
