Getting Around: The main and largest airline carrier in Colombia is the Avianca/SAM, which covers both domestic and international routes. Aero Republica covers similar territories as Avianca, AIRES services smaller cities and towns, while SATENA flies to difficult locations such as the Amazon, the Pacific coast, and dozens of other smaller towns and villages.
The best way to travel around Colombia is by bus or minivan. In the coffee-growing areas, the most common mode of transportation are the Willys jeeps.
