  • Day 1 ARRIVE IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON   Welcome to the "Emerald City!" At 6:30 p.m., meet your travel companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.

  • Day 2 SEATTLE-MULTNOMAH FALLS-PORTLAND, OREGON   Cascades & Culture Explore Seattle on a guided tour including Pike Place Market, Belltown, and the Queen Anne area. Then travel south for lunch at a local restaurant and a [LF] visit to Multnomah Falls, the highest waterfall in Oregon. Continue to Portland for an orientation tour and free time. Explore one of the many craft breweries, music venues, or waterfront restaurants downtown on the Willamette River. (B,L)

    Experience the vibrant energy of Seattle's authentic farmer's market that tempts the senses with an array of aromas, eats, and friendly people. Pike Place Market has been a gathering place and bustling market for more than a century as one of the oldest operating farmer's markets in the U.S. Visitors and locals alike are drawn to the energy and extraordinary array of farm-fresh produce, paper-wrapped flowers, shops, restaurants, bars, fishmongers, street performers, and the first Starbucks - all mixing a rich blend of coffee culture and true Seattle style.

    LOCAL FAVORITE
    Local Indigenous tradition tells the story of a young woman who sacrificed herself at the falls to save her people from illness. This legendary spectacle of roaring waterfalls of Multnomah Falls plunges 620 feet in a dramatic two-tier cascade, creating one of the Pacific Northwest's most iconic natural landmarks. Enjoy spectacular views of the two-tier waterfall in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, the only sea-level route through the Cascade Mountains.

  • Day 3 PORTLAND-McMINNVILLE-NEWPORT   Rugged & Rosy Discover why Portland is called the "City of Roses" with a visit to Washington Park and the International Rose Test Garden. Depart Portland for Willamette Valley wine country and on to charming McMinnville for lunch. Visit the rugged Oregon coast and Yaquina Head Lighthouse andlearn about the headland's importance to the indigenous tribes of the area. The lighthouse remains the tallest on the Oregon Coast and has been guiding ships safely to shore since 1873. Continue to Newport, one of Oregon's most popular seaside resort towns. This evening, enjoy a special [LF] dinner on the water at Clearwater Restaurant featuring local wines and waterfront views for a two-night stay in Newport at the Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites. (B,D)

Watch sea lions bask and gulls glide through the salty air while savoring each bite.   • Day 4 NEWPORT   Marine Life & Light Enjoy a full day at leisure on the Oregon Coast Walk along the beach for spectacular ocean views and opportunities to spot shorebirds and sunbathing sea lions, explore the tide pools at Yaquina Head, consider a visit to the Hatfield Marine Science Center at Oregon State University, or join an optional kayak adventure excursion.   • Day 5 NEWPORT-FLORENCE-NORTH BEND   Sand, Sea & A Sailors' Sentinel As you travel down the coast today, enjoy highlights of the Pacific Northwest including Heceta Head Lighthouse and Florence Old Town, followed by a visit to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, the largest expanse of coastal sand dunes in North America. Continue to the quaint village of North Bend to your bayside hotel. (B)

    ENHANCED FREE TIME
    Explore more in North Bend and Coos Bay, known as Oregon's Adventure Coast and home to Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, sandy Horsfall Beach, the historic McCullough Bridge, the North Bend Boardwalk, scenic walking trails, and a diverse mix of downtown dining and shopping.

  • Day 6 NORTH BEND-GOLD BEACH-REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK, CALIFORNIA-EUREKA   Coastal Giants Travel south to the scenic Rogue River, one of Oregon's natural treasures, flowing more than 200 miles from the Cascade Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, and embark on a [LF] thrilling jetboat ride. Continue along the Pacific coast to Redwood National Park, home to some of the world's tallest trees. Then arrive in Eureka, California's historic lumber center, for a photo stop at the grand Carson Mansion, one of the world's most photographed examples of Victorian architecture and the former home of lumber baron William Carson. This evening, explore the Old Town Waterfront District and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

    LOCAL FAVORITE
    Visit Gold Beach for an exciting jetboat ride on the Rogue River through this wild, remote region. Watch for local wildlife, black-sand beaches, and bald eagles as you cruise through Southern Oregon.

  • Day 7 EUREKA-HUMBOLDT REDWOODS STATE PARK-SONOMA COUNTY-SAN FRANCISCO   Reach for the Sky! This morning, travel to Humboldt Redwoods State Park for the spectacular Avenue of the Giants. Visit the award-winning [LF] Francis Ford Coppola Winery enroute to San Francisco for a wine tasting and adventure through cinematic history. Continue to the "City by the Bay," San Francisco, for a two-night stay. (B)

    TOUR HIGHLIGHT
    Enter an ancient world of towering trees along the Avenue of the Giants, a quiet two-lane road that winds through some of the world's most spectacular scenery with redwood trees that seem to touch the sky. Take the opportunity to marvel at the 1,800-year-old redwood!

  • Day 8 SAN FRANCISCO   Spend Your Day Your Way in San Francisco Enjoy a sightseeing tour of San Francisco's most iconic landmarks and sites. Explore more of with your choice between included Globus Choice excursions.

    LITTLE ITALY
    Take a walking food tour in to savor local tastes and learn about the culinary and cultural history of Little Italy. Enjoy murals and architecture.
    BIKE THE BRIDGE
    Experience the Golden Gate Bridge on a bike! Enjoy a guided bike tour across the Golden Gate Bridge, from to Sausalito. Enjoy leisure time in Sausalito's quaint downtown before riding back to San Francisco.

    Tonight, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Wonderful conversation and cuisine make the perfect finale to your vacation. (B,D)
