This evening, celebrate New Year's Eve with your travel companions at an exclusive Globus dinner as you raise a toast to the new year and watch the live Times Square ball drop, broadcast from New York at 9 pm Pacific Time. - Day 3 LOS ANGELES. TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE Everything's Coming Up Roses! Happy New Year! Get ready for one of the world's most popular parades--you'll see it live! Globus has specially selected reserved grandstand seating only minutes from the beginning of the parade route for prime viewing. After the parade, return to the hotel for a New Year's Day lunch. Later, for those who wish, join a trip to Santa Monica for a walk on the famous pier, shopping on the Third Street Promenade, or relaxing on the beach. Enjoy free time this afternoon to explore Los Angeles. Consider visiting the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures or an optional excursion to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Gather with your Tour Director and travel companions tonight for a memorable farewell dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)LOCAL FAVORITE For many visitors, seeing the magnificent Rose Parade floats up close is the highlight of the entire event, allowing you to get up close to these intricately designed floats - made entirely of flowers, plants, and seeds. In addition to the vibrant colors and memorable scents, this is a wonderful photo opportunity as you marvel at the hours of dedication and craftsmanship devoted to each design.
