- Day 1 Arrive In Calgary Arrive Calgary International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. The Jonview Roadbook you received will have all the information needed for your holiday/trip/journey. As the gateway to the west, Calgary boasts fine dining downtown one night, and horseback riding just outside the city the next day. Overnight in Calgary.
- Day 2 Calgary To Brooks A short drive just east of the city and the landscape is dramatically transformed. Drumheller is known world-wide for its massive fossil fields set amongst a dramatic landscape of wind-shaped rock formations. A visit to the Royal Tyrrell Museum reveals the history of these creatures and the people that have spent their lives researching them. Overnight in Brooks.
- Day 3 Brooks To Waterton In the morning, you are treated to a visit to Dinosaur Provincial Park where prehistoric creatures once roamed and flourished. Active dig sites continue to reveal new fossils every year, and the interpretative displays and staff depict the prehistoric world where these mighty creatures once roamed. Continue on to Waterton set in the middle of Waterton Lakes Provincial Park - a spectacular and vast park that features some of the best hiking in the country, as well as many local suppliers for canoe, kayak and bike rentals and cruises. - Day 4 Waterton We suggest planning to spend the day exploring the park. Day trails offer easy to moderate routes that take you incredible natural settings. Alternately, you may independently book a cruise on the lake that follows the shoreline southward across the international border with the United States. Overnight in Waterton.
- Day 5 Waterton Lakes To Fernie/Cranbrook Head west today over the provincial border to British Columbia, perhaps stopping in the high-altitude community of Crows Nest Pass. You may wish to independently visit the Frank Slide Interpretative Centre, depicting the massive landslide that covered the mining town. Arriving in Fernie, take some time to explore this outdoor adventure hub that boasts hiking, biking, a summer farmers' markets and outdoor art displays. Overnight in Fernie.
- Day 6 Fernie/Cranbrook To Nelson Today travel farther into the British Columbia interior, and consider a stop in the small city of Cranbrook. Replete with local history, the fascinating Canadian Rail museum and the colonial period buildings of Fort Steele tell the story of the opening of the west. Continue on to the small city of Nelson on the west arm of Kootenay Lake, where outdoor bistros of the Victorian downtown serve up local delights amongst compelling scenery. Overnight in Nelson.
- Day 7 Nelson To Osoyoos Today the road leads along the Canadian / United States border and the small towns that dot the highway. You may wish to stopover at Gladstone Provincial Park, and perhaps spend some time on the beaches of Christina Lake - its clean, deep waters being one of the area's best kept secrets. Continue on to arrive in Ososyoos and relax for the evening in this pleasant lakefront community. Overnight in Osoyoos.
- Day 8 Osoyoos Beach-lovers rejoice - a day at the waterside under the sun on the shores of Osoyoos Lake rivals any oceanfront destination. Tour-friendly winery estates are set astride lush vineyards next to the arid landscapes, providing a dramatic contrast of ecologies. Overnight in Osoyoos.
- Day 9 Osoyoos To Vancouver/Whistler* Heading over your last mountain range en route to the coast, you may wish to stop at the popular Harrison Hot Springs. The public springs offer mineral-enriched waters that soothe the muscles of weary travellers. Harrison Lake offers a pleasant place to relax, or rent a paddle boat and do some exploring on the calm waters. Continuing westward, arrive in the bustling metropolis of Vancouver.
