- Day 1 BOSTON AREA Welcome to New England! Your Tour Director is on hand from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to answer any questions.
- Day 2 BOSTON-PORTLAND-BAR HARBOR Head north into Maine, known for its rugged coastline, historic lighthouses, and maritime traditions. Stop in Portland, Maine's largest city, for a sightseeing tour featuring the Old Port waterfront, where cobblestone streets, working fishing wharves, restaurants, and shops reflect the city's seafaring heritage. Continue northeast through Bangor to Bar Harbor, a popular seaside resort and gateway to Acadia National Park. (CB)
- Day 3 BAR HARBOR. EXCURSION TO ACADIA NATIONAL PARK Bar Harbor is located on Mount Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park. Drive through forests, past rocky shoreline and mountain scenery, and ascend Cadillac Mountain for panoramic views of the park and surrounding coastline. At 1,530 feet, Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the East Coast and one of the first places in the country to see the sunrise. The afternoon is free to explore the town of Bar Harbor. Stroll along the Shore Path, browse local shops and galleries, or ask your Tour Director for recommendations on sightseeing and dining. (B)
- Day 4 BAR HARBOR-FARMINGTON-NORTH CONWAY Travel through inland Maine, passing farmland, lakes, blueberry barrens and forests known for their vibrant autumn colors. Along the way, see historic stone walls that mark centuries-old farms and enjoy the scenic landscapes that define rural New England.Stop in Farmington, a community settled by veterans of the American Revolution, before continuing to North Conway in New Hampshire's White Mountains for a two-night stay. - Day 5 NORTH CONWAY Today, travel along New Hampshire's Kancamagus Highway, one of New England's most scenic routes and a favorite destination for fall foliage viewing. Known locally as "The Kanc," this historic roadway remains largely undeveloped, offering uninterrupted views of forests, mountains, and rivers. Continue through White Mountain National Forest to Franconia Notch, a dramatic mountain pass in the heart of the White Mountains. Later, visit a local maple sugarhouse and learn about traditional maple sugaring. (B)
- Day 6 NORTH CONWAY-WOODSTOCK-NORTH ADAMS This morning, visit Woodstock, one of New England's most picturesque villages, known for its historic village green and classic Vermont character. Continue to Billings Farm & Museum, a working dairy farm and living history museum that showcases Vermont's agricultural heritage.Travel to Quechee Gorge State Park, often called Vermont's "Little Grand Canyon," for views of one of the state's most dramatic natural landmarks. Then visit the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham before continuing to North Adams, Massachusetts, nestled in the Berkshire Mountains. (B)
- Day 7 NORTH ADAMS-PLYMOUTH-HYANNIS Travel across Massachusetts to Plymouth, where the Mayflower Pilgrims landed in 1620. See Plymouth Rock, one of New England's most recognizable historic landmarks, before continuing across the Cape Cod Canal, the widest sea-level canal in the world.Arrive in Hyannis, a popular gateway to Cape Cod, known for its maritime heritage, waterfront setting, and connection to the Kennedy family. Here, you will find the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum, local shops, and award-winning restaurants.
- Day 8 HYANNIS. DAY EXCURSION TO PROVINCETOWN Today, travel to Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod. Often referred to as "Land's End," the historic whaling port of Provincetown is known for its artistic community, scenic coastline, and vibrant atmosphere. Have free time to stroll MacMillan Pier, watch fishing boats come and go, enjoy the shops and galleries along Commercial Street, or sample local favorites such as lobster rolls, Portuguese pastries, and fried clams. You may also choose to join an optional sand dune tour through Cape Cod National Seashore. Return to Hyannis, where the remainder of your afternoon and evening are free.
- Day 9 HYANNIS-BOSTON Depart this morning for Boston and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour featuring many of the city's most important historic landmarks. See highlights along the Freedom Trail, including Boston Common, the Old State House, Old North Church, and Faneuil Hall. Spend time exploring Quincy Market, where you can browse local shops and sample regional favorites, including a bowl of New England clam chowder. Afterward, continue to Boston Logan International Airport for homebound flights. Please schedule departing flights after 3:30 p.m. Guests may extend their stay with extra nights and continue exploring Boston on their own.
