- Day 1 Nairobi to Maasai Mara via Nairobi National Park Hello and welcome to Nairobi! Meet your Contiki crew, grab your camera, and let’s hit the road for our very first game drive. Hop on! Today, you'll have the option to cruise through Nairobi National Park on overland trucks. Keep your eyes peeled for waterholes, cityscapes and wildlife. If you like, you'll also have time to visit the Sheldrick Elephant rehabilitation nursery, where you can watch baby elephants play and bathe in the water, and hear the fascinating story of their road to recovery too. Passing through the Great Rift Valley, we’ll get to our Maasai Mara stay. You're free to spend the evening chatting & bonding with your crew. This is completely independent of Contiki and follows the operator’s own terms, safety standards and insurance cover.. Amboseli: Premium camping is classic camping, levelled up. Our road crew will set up these tents for you - all with premium facilities like chill-out zones, communal bathrooms and all the creature comforts.. Amboseli: Nope, you're all good!
