- Day 1 Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Hello and welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa! We’ll kick things off in Entebbe, where you’ll meet your Trip Manager and new crew before we hit the road southwest. It’ll be a big drive day, but the views will do the heavy lifting — towns, roadside markets, rolling green hills, tea plantations and rural villages. We’ll stop for lunch en route, with a few short stops along the way. By evening, we’ll arrive near Bwindi, home to one of the last remaining wild mountain gorilla populations on Earth. Tonight, we’ll settle into our chalets, gather for an included dinner and get ready for tomorrow’s gorilla trek. Locations Visited: Entebbe UG, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park UG.
- Day 2 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park Ready to come face to face with a gorilla? We’ll start early with brekkie before heading into Bwindi with Local Guides and trackers. The trek can be short or challenging (depending on where the gorillas are wandering that day). When we find them, we’ll spend one hour observing a wild mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat. You'll watch them feed, interact and move through the forest. Plus, we've got a packed lunch along the way, then we'll return to our chalets for dinner and a good night's sleep. Locations Visited: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park UG.
- Day 3 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Kalinzu Forest Bye-bye, Bwindi. After breakfast, we’ll head north, watching the scenery shift from dense forest to crater lakes and open savannah. By midday, we’ll arrive at Kalinzu Forest — one of Uganda’s top primate trekking spots, home to chimps, monkeys and hundreds of bird species. With Local Guides leading the way, we’ll follow forest trails, listening for calls in the trees for a chance to spot wild chimps moving through the canopy. After the trek, we’ll roll through Queen Elizabeth National Park on a transit game drive en route to our stay. Keep watch for elephants, buffalo and antelope (and maybe even big cats) before arriving for dinner. - Day 4 Queen Elizabeth National Park to Murchison Falls National Park Today's first stop? The Equator. We'll snap a few pictures at the Line and then continue on the road to Uganda's oldest and largest national park. By afternoon, we’ll enter Murchison Falls National Park and take a transit game drive to our accommodation. Be on the look out for monkeys, warthogs, elephants and more as we get our first taste of the wilderness then settle in at our stay. - Day 5 Murchison Falls National Park Lions, elephants, giraffes, antelope and maybe even leopard - that's what we'll be on the search for on our sunrise safari this morning, while the park is at its most active. Later, we’ll cruise the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls, watching for hippos, crocodiles and birdlife along the banks. After lunch and downtime at our stay, we’ll hike to the top of the falls before heading back out after dark for a night game drive. Locations Visited: Murchison Falls National Park UG.
- Day 6 Murchison Falls National Park to Jinja via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Murchison, you were amazing. But we've got places to be. Today we'll journey east towards Jinja, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary along the way. Safari on foot? Yep. We'll head out with experienced rangers to track Uganda’s only wild rhinos. It’s a rare chance to see these incredible animals up close while learning about the conservation work helping bring rhinos back to Uganda. After lunch at Ziwa, we’ll continue to Jinja, a relaxed riverside town known as the source of the Nile and East Africa’s adventure hub. - Day 7 Jinja to Busia Spend the morning on the Nile, with the choice to raft its famous white-water rapids or take a more relaxed boat cruise to the Source of the Nile. After lunch at the lodge, we’ll freshen up and hit the road for the border crossing into Kenya. We’ll cross into Kenya this evening and continue to Busia for our overnight stop. Tonight's agenda: check into your hotel, and grab dinner at a local restaurant. Locations Visited: Jinja UG, Busia UG.
- Day 8 Busia to Nairobi via Lake Victoria Say goodbye to Busia after breakfast as we continue south through Kenya, settling into one last big East African road trip day. We’ll stop near Lake Victoria for lunch and time to stretch our legs by Africa’s largest lake. It’s a relaxed final scenic stop before we continue towards the city. Aaand, we're in Nairobi! - Day 9 Nairobi to Masaai Mara via Nairobi National Park Well, of course we're kicking off with a game drive. Grab your camera, and let’s hit the road. Hop on! Today, you'll have the option to cruise through Nairobi National Park on overland trucks. Keep your eyes peeled for waterholes, cityscapes and wildlife. If you like, you'll also have time to visit the Sheldrick Elephant rehabilitation nursery, where you can watch baby elephants play and bathe in the water, and hear the fascinating story of their road to recovery too. Plus, we'll visit the neighbourhood of Kibera and check out the incredible work of the people at Mirror of Hope. Passing through the Great Rift Valley, we’ll get to our Maasai Mara stay. - Day 10 Masaai Mara It's game drive time. After trucking around in search of Africa's elusive big cats, we'll settle down by a scenic spot for lunch. And then head back on the road for some more wildlife spotting. Oh, and if you're here at the right time of year, you’ll even have the chance to witness the Great Migration. In the evening, you'll have the chance to visit a Maasai village, meet members of the tribe and even learn their traditions. Locations Visited: Maasai Mara National Reserve KE.
- Day 11 Masaai Mara to Sagana Rise and shine, Kenyan explorers! You can opt in for another game drive in the Maasai wilderness this morning. Then, were off to Sagana... Time to settle down in our riverside base for the night. So, rest up and keep dreaming of all the adventure that awaits us tomorrow. Locations Visited: Maasai Mara National Reserve KE, Sagana KE.
- Day 12 Sagana Love adrenaline-pumping activities? Boy, you're gonna love today. White water rafting. Rock climbing. Archery. Ziplining. There's no end to all the fun you can opt in for here. Best part? You've got an onsite restaurant (with a pool & bar) to fuel up as you go. Locations Visited: Sagana KE.
- Day 13 Sagana to Amboseli Bye bye Sagana, you’ve been epic. We’ll hit the road with a stop at a local restaurant for a buffet of delish regional dishes — the perfect refuel before the journey continues.Aaaand, we’ve made it to Amboseli. Time for a game drive, so keep your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife — including some of Africa’s last “tuskers” roaming these plains. And if luck’s on our side, you might even spot them with Mt Kilimanjaro in the background. Then it’s off to our chalets for the night. Locations Visited: Sagana KE, Amboseli KE.
- Day 14 Amboseli to Mto Wa Mbu via Arusha This morning we'll have one final game drive in Amboseli before heading across borders. So, say goodbye to our Kenyan guides and overland truck and hello to our Tanzanian ones in their safari vehicles as we drive to the town of Arusha. Here, we'll visit the Shanga Community Project - a wonderful initiative that offers employment to disabled community members through arts & crafts. Welcome to Mto Wa Mbu - our home for tonight (and also the gateway to some of the best national parks in Africa). So settle in, grab dinner, and spend some time with your crew. - Day 15 Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Crater See ya in a bit, Mto Wa Mbu. We've got a couple more places to tick off. We’ll head out on another game drive across the crater floor, keeping watch for the Big 5 and plenty more wildlife along the way. Was that a lion?! Oh… just your tummy grumbling. Good news — it’s time for lunch. Then it’s back out for one more game drive in the world-famous Serengeti before heading to our campsite set right in the heart of it all — surrounded by wildlife and as close to living in nature as it gets. - Day 16 Serengeti We'll spend a full day seeking out the game of Africa's plains, with predators in hot pursuit of their prey. If the wildebeest migration is around, then you are in for a wildlife treat: millions of wildebeest and zebra grazing for as far as the eye can see really is one of Africa's greatest spectacles to observe. A buffet dinner awaits us back at our safari camp. Locations Visited: Serengeti TZ.
- Day 17 Serengeti to Mto Wa Mbu We’ll start with a hot breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive through the Serengeti. We’ll keep watch for big cats, elephants, giraffes and plenty more as the plains wake up around us. After a picnic lunch en route, we’ll exit the Serengeti and continue towards Mto Wa Mbu, with a shopping stop at Safariland if time allows. - Day 18 Mto Wa Mbu via Lake Manyara Wakey wakey. You guessed it - it's game drive time! Home to its famous tree-climbing lions (yep!), Lake Manyara serves up a totally different safari vibe. A Maasai village tour? Mountain biking around Mto Wa Mbu? Canoeing across Lake Manyara? You've got loads of activities to choose after lunch. Plus, if a night game drive sounds like something you'll love - this is your chance! It's our final night together, so come join us for a delish dinner to wrap things up. - Day 19 Mto Wa Mbu to Arusha via Tarangire National Park It's our last day on safari and our last chance for some wildlife viewing. So opt to jump on one last game drive in Tarangire National Park? This epic national park is famed for its two African giants - the elephant and baobab trees. Keep your eyes peeled! And with that, our wonderful, epic, surreal trip has sadly come to an end. With full hearts and memories made, it's time to say fond farewells to your new lifelong friends, and to our African adventure.
