- Day 1 Tromso God dag! That’s good day in Norwegian and it’s definitely a good day for an Arctic adventure. We'll meet our Trip Manager and Contiki crew to say ‘Hei’ here in Tromso (AKA the Gateway of the Arctic). Expect stunning arctic scenery, a sunny vibe, and a vibrant cultural scene. - Day 2 Tromso Ready to rise and shine for some Arctic action this morning? You've got a free day to spend away checking out the wonders of Tromso. Better yet - there's also a sea kayaking day trip on the agenda if you're up for it! Locations Visited: Tromso NO.
- Day 3 Tromso to Overnight Cruise A hike? In the sunny hills? With huskies by your side? Yep. You have the option to experience true Norwegian lifestyle and visit a dog yard on the beautiful island of Kvaløya this morning. Then, it's time to hop on to a cruise.Can't contain your excitement? Same. We'll board the Hurtigruten ship in the late afternoon and set sail for the next couple of days, following the wild coastline towards Skjervøy. Dinner is up to you this evening but you’ll be able to choose from the onboard restaurants serving authentic produce, fresh from local communities. - Day 4 Overnight Cruise & Honningsvag Ahoy! We hope the ship rocked you soundly to sleep. This morning we sail through the Magerøysund sound and after an early stop in Hammerfest, we arrive in Honningsvåg.From here, you can join an excursion to the spectacular North Cape (subject to availability), the northernmost point of Europe, which is just 2000 km from the geographic North Pole. The ship continues northward along the coast of Lapland, passing by the Finnkjerka rock formation, the old sacrificial site of the Sami people.Tuck into your cosy, cosy bed for a final night aboard this cruise. - Day 5 Overnight Cruise to Kirkenes The last port on our voyage northward is Kirkenes. Located at 30°E, we’re now further east than Istanbul! The Russian border is close by, and all signs are written in both Norwegian and Russian.Here in Kirkenes, you'll have the unique opportunity to go on an optional King Crab Safari aboard a classic RIB boat. - Day 6 Kirkenes to Tromso Morning, travellers! Today, we're headed to the airport and hopping aboard a flight to Tromsø.Hello Tromsø! This evening, we'll jump on a cable car ride for epic views of the Tromsdalstinden mountain. You'll have some time to check out the views from up above before we head back into town for our final night. Locations Visited: Kirkenes NO, Tromso NO.
- Day 7 Tromso With our hearts full of warm and lasting memories, it's time to say our goodbyes after breakfast. The Norwegians have an expression meaning ‘see you soon’ - ‘Sees!’ Locations Visited: Tromso NO.
