About Cambodia Tours

Birthdays are not traditionally celebrated in Cambodia; so most of the older Cambodians might not even know their birthdays.

In Cambodia, it’s considered disrespectful to point at people or things with the soles of your feet, which is why it is important to keep them tucked away when sitting.

The birth rate is three times higher than the death rate. In fact, about half of the Cambodian population are under the age of 15.

Cambodians are resilient people. For instance, there are villagers in Cambodia who have adapted to regular flooding and built floating villages such as Kampong Phluk to cope.

Spiders are sometimes served in Cambodia as a local delicacy.

Why go on a Cambodia Tour?

A country recovering from quite a dark history, a Cambodia tour offers an intoxicating atmosphere for visitors. Get dazzled by the architectural beauty of Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Stroll along the city of Phnom Penh, and get enamoured with its cafes and quaint little boutique shops. Experience rural life on a slow boat across the Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in south-east Asia. Try Amok, a traditional Khmer dish and have a real taste of the Cambodia lifestyle. There are multiple of activities and an incredible range of scenic locales for tourists to choose from in a Cambodia tour.

Need a little bit more convincing? Aside from having a picturesque landscape, Cambodia’s real treasure is its people. Despite ages of tumultuous struggle – from years of bloodshed, poverty, and political instability – the Khmers have proven themselves to be very resilient and passionate. As a matter of fact, no visitors come to Cambodia without getting drawn in by their unrelenting optimism and unbreakable spirit!

When is the best time to go?

Cambodia is great to visit all year round. The country is generally subjected to two distinct seasons – dry (October to late April) and wet (May to late September). Within each season, variations in temperature  could be experienced, with May and June the hottest of the year with temperatures in excess of 35C at times. It also tends to be humid between the months of March and April, while it tends to be cooler around October and December (24C-26C).
