When is the best time to go?

The weather in Illinois varies between two extremes – offering very hot summers and terribly cold winters. Illinois’ winters are generally severe, with intense rainfalls and snowfalls. On the upside, this offers winter sport fanatics a reason to visit. The temperature during this time typically falls around the -2C mark.
