In Central Europe lies the tiny country of Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein operates under a constitutional monarchy. The Prince of Liechtenstein lives in the Vaduz Castle, a quaint little palace on a hilltop built with gothic influences. Many of Liechtenstein’s buildings are medieval, gothic, and baroque pieces of architecture. The Castle Liechtenstein built in the early 1100s is the property of the Royal Family, also built on a hilltop overlooking the city. Aside from the gorgeous castles, you may visit the Liechtenstein Museum of Fine Arts in the capital city of Vaduz to experience this museum of contemporary art. Or, if you like immersing yourself in nature, Liechtenstein is the place for you! Liechtenstein is the only country located fully within The Alps mountain range, creating lovely landscapes and mountainous terrain for tourists to explore. The hiking trails of the Grauspitz Mountain, Liechtenstein’s highest point standing at 2599 meters, is a nice place to enjoy the outdoors. Vaduz is a brief stop on many Liechtenstein Tour itineraries, allowing travellers to catch a glimpse of the alpine scenery as they pass through to other exciting cities in the bordering countries of Austria and Switzerland.
