    Phoenix Vacations

It's hard to imagine a vacation playground in such a stark, desert, urban setting, but Phoenix has a lot to offer. This warm and dry climate is perfect for golfing and is home to some of the world's best courses. Desert mountains offer spectacular sunrises and sunsets, whether in view from a restaurant vista or from a hot air balloon outside town. Scottsdale is the main resort area, where expensive properties form a suburban strip of hotels. Strip malls and free-standing buildings house hundreds of restaurants of international variety and quality, all within a short drive of the resorts. Shopping and nightlife are especially good at "The Borgata", where a high concentration of neon lights, restaurants, and nightlife are located in a clean setting. Upmarket boutiques and shops grace the Biltmore area, the oldest section of Phoenix. Some historic buildings and points of interest include Wrigley Mansion - a picturesque and manicured hilltop mansion owned by the Wrigley's gum family, and Taliesin West - a homestead designed by award winning architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Horseback riding trails, dude ranches, professional sports, and shopping, are among the most popular daytime activities in addition to enjoying the great poolside relaxation. Nearby Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon are common daytrips, but an overnight in Sedona is required in order to see the famous red rocks in a sunrise and sunset setting. The Grand Canyon is more than a day trip, unless done as a flightseeing tour.

Getting Around: A car rental is a must on a Phoenix vacation, as the distance between attractions is far too great to walk.

Where to Stay: Hotels like the Arizona Biltmore and the Arizona Grand Resort offer superior quality accommodations to visitors. Our travel agents can help you select the perfect spot for you and your travel guests!

Weather: Phoenix temperatures average 12C in January and 34C in July.

Phoenix vacations have a lot to offer a wide range of clientele. Choose this destination as an alternative to Florida or California, or if you are interested in spending time in America's Southwest.
