My stay last week was absolutely wonderful. The entire property was quiet, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding. The beach was incredible — calm, clean, and just steps away. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was so positive, kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They made the experience feel warm and effortless. The location is also fantastic, close to so many amenities while still feeling like a relaxing escape. This was my second trip to the island, and I will definitely be coming back. If you’re booking, make sure you choose an ocean view room — you will not be disappointed.

The hotel was torn down shortly after we left in 1992, so we were very excited to return and see the “new” version. The location is perfect—close to everything and situated on a beautiful beach. The property itself has incredible potential. It’s large enough that it never feels crowded, yet small enough to be easy to navigate. The resort was clean and pleasant-looking overall. We chose the all-inclusive option and were glad we did. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of choices. On four days we had lunch delivered right to us on the beach, which was both delicious and a fun experience. Dinner each night was excellent. While there are theme nights, there is still good variety. The lasagna one evening was fantastic. Another night featured grilled meats on the BBQ, and there was also an Indian-themed night—which wasn’t my favorite personally, but it was nice to try dishes I’d never had before. On Wednesdays, Pacifica opens, and we had the best sushi along with a Pad Thai that was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The dinner staff were attentive and polite every evening, providing great service along with the excellent food. If I returned, I would avoid a first-floor room. The balcony wall is solid at the bottom, so when you sit down you can’t see the view. The property itself feels a bit tired, and the rooms could definitely use some updating. There was also one day when we had no water due to repairs. A heads-up would have been appreciated, as we ended up going to dinner that night feeling less than fresh. I’d also like to give some staff shout-outs. I can’t say enough good things about Kirsten at the bar. She made me a specific margarita on the first night, and that became my drink for the entire week. She even researched where I could buy the tequila she used. Gregory was a true jack-of-all-trades and helped us with a couple of issues. He was the most pleasant person on the entire resort. The dinner waitstaff were very attentive, and Rhonda along with Sarah (the supervisor) made a great team. Unfortunately, we did have a couple of significant issues that were never addressed. I asked twice to speak with a manager and was told both times that one was not available, which is not acceptable. While there always seemed to be a lot of staff on site, only a few appeared to be actively working. Management was not very visible, and some staff seemed disengaged. Food: 10/10 Resort: 6/10 For what we paid, I expected more. In summary, I loved the location and the potential of the resort, but unfortunately it did not appear to be managed very well.

Great hotel, room and beach view was amazing. The pool was awesome and the afternoon swim up bar was wonderful. Very central, shopping plaza across the street. Had a european meal plan so did not utilize the dining on site. The beach was beautiful, however had red flag days, so we kept to the pool.

The hotel was lovely. We had a room overlooking the pools and ocean and waking up every morning viewing such a vista made every cent worthwhile. The white sand and crystal clear water brought out the kid in us. The staff was ever present yet never intrusive. Your wants were always met. A return visit is in the future.

nice location, ran into some issues while staying there. no hot water for several days, toilet not flush, informed the staff, they fixed the problem right away. Asked for a microwave, received in a few minutes. Very pleased with the staff. The only concerns is there should be upkeeping with the building.

The hotel do not have many all- inclusive guests. We were told often that we could not have more food. I don’t even drink alcohol and food was scant. Al la carte we asked for 2 appetizers and they said no. We had to argue at most meal and we are ladies that don’t eat much. Water out in hotel for 2 days for broken water main and staff were not helpful and some down right rude. I would not recommend this place and am working on trying to get some money refunded. A person should never be hungry at all- inclusive. Some of the staff were sympathetic and tryied to get me more food. Towels in room had to be hunted down and laughed at when asking for 2 towels per person. Really??

Accra Beach is a perfect location! The hotel was clean and the staff was amazing. Close to Blakey’s, Tapas, and walking distance to St. Lawrence Gap. Convenience of a strip mall with everything you may need right across the street. From groceries, take out to souvenirs. You can also find authentic foods too. The hotel has 2 restaurants and is located on the beautiful Rockley Beach. Barbados is as beautiful as I remember. We will definitely stay here again when we come again with the family. A couple of suggestions, it would be nice to play island music for your guests at the pool bar/beach. Quiet is nice but not much music all week. Night life is definitely off resort. Second, put a complimentary bottle of rum and a couple bottles of water in room for guests that would be a nice touch. Fridge is not stocked. Last thing I would add, develop a system where you have a coloured band for all inclusive guests versus asking them their room number single time they eat and drink. It’s very confusing for those who are all inclusive. Other than that, the hotel and staff were amazing!

The last time I was in Barbados was back in 2001. I have to say the only reason we stayed at the Accra was because of Rockly beach. It is the best beach I have been to in Barbados. The water is always warm and very clean. The waves can get pretty large at times but they are tons of fun to boogie board with or jump over. It was our first time staying at the Accra hotel. I have visited this hotel many years ago but never stayed there. My boyfriend and I travelled with my sister, her husband and their 2 children 6 and 9. We all paid for the all inclusive package. We had no issues at the airport and had airport transportation to the Accra included. On arrival to the Accra we were not greeted or welcomed like at other destinations or resorts we have travelled to. We checked in and had to pay the daily hotel tax fee right away. About $10 Barbados per day...on our tickets it said it would be paid on check out and I mentioned this to the lady at the desk but she insisted it had to be paid on check in...so we paid it. They gave us the blue band that was suppose to be for the all inclusive package. After we were told we needed the red band so got them exchanged. We went to our room 226. At first the door cards did not work so I went back down to the front desk and they activated them...The view of the room is of the Quayside plaza. The room was basic. Had a small fridge that was empty. King size bed, working shower and toilet and enough space for our clothes. Sometimes the water pressure from the shower would be very weak but it was usualy around 5pm to 6pm when most people are showering and getting ready for dinner. The cleaning crew always did an amazing job cleaning our room. There was only 1 day they missed. There was the 1 main restaurant called the Coco patch. It had breakfast buffet each morning. Breakfast was suppose to be at 7am but sometimes they would not be ready and kick us out....there would be some lunches and some dinners at this restaurant also. Sometimes the other reastaurant called the Pacifika would be opened instead. The food was pretty good. A lot of variety for meats, fish and rice. I found the vegetables were a bit lacking or the same. There was a list of menus for each day. We found that sometimes the meals would be buffet but then it would be an la carte. Or it would say a la carte and it would be buffet. So the consistancy was not there like most things in this hotel. The a la cartes would take 2 hours some nights. But the food was always delicious. Dinners were usualy from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. We found it odd that there was an a la carte at lunch. I rather be outside and be enjoying the weather then be sitting inside at an a la carte. So we only did that the 1 time. There was a bar menu that you could order off of for lunch that had snack foods like fries, burgers and sandwiches and it would be delivered to you on the beach. It would take about 30mins to an hour to ge the food at times and sometimes they would take orders at 12pm and sometimes 12:30pm...I went to order food at 12:25pm and it was too early that day.....ordering drinks was interesting..depending which bartender was working. They would ask our room number each time we would order drinks even having the red all inclusive bands on. We had a list of drinks that were for all inclusive. So we went down the list like usual. There was pop, juice and large or small bottled water you could order also. They had different beers and blended non alcholic drinks and milkshakes for the kids. Some drinks were strong and some made just right...depending on the bar tender. After 5 days of ordering a blended fruit drink and asked for malibu rum...1 bartender told me it was at an extra charge.....I was shocked because I have ordered this drink before many times and no one else had said anything to me. So I just ordered another mixed drink called the coconut kiss which has malibu rum in it. The espresso is also at an extra charge even with all inclusive. $7 usd....🤦‍♀️ so another inconsistant thing that we noticed. There was no entertainment in the evenings so it was kinda boring at the hotel at night. There was only 1 night they had a live band which was great! Its too bad they don't have more entertainment weekly. Walking around at night was safe. My boyfriend and I did a few times and had no issues. We got ice cream from Chilly Moos from across the street. It was alright nothing special..$8.50 Barbados for 1 scoop. We walked to Masseys one night which is 15mins away. Bought some groceries and souveniers. The 99 grocerery store in the Quayside plaza had essentials also. The best of Barbados store is a great store for souveniers. The surf shop sells boogie boards and clothing at duty free prices. There are a lot of food options also for people who arn't doing the all inclusive package. There is a breakfast place, pizza, indian, chinese and delicious doubles. 2 doubles for $9 barbados. They were amazing!! There is a Chefette, KFC and Burger King down the other way. A lot of restaurants and bars so there are a lot of options. We went on 1 excursion with Tiami excursions. I spoke to Rachel at the front desk. She was the most knowledgable person. She knows her info and booked us the snorkelling with turtle excursion. We went on the sunset excursion time. We were picked up at 2:30pm. We went on a small catamaran and we sailed to the turtle area. Our guide was feeding the turtles bread so we all got to see them. I just loved it. Such an amazing experience!! They served us drinks and we had dinner during sunset on the catamaran. The excursion was about $100 usd. It was great to be back in Barbados esp for Rockly beach. If we were to travel to Barbados again we would probably not do the all inclusive package and would stay at a different hotel.

Hotel is situated on beautiful Rockley Beach. Caribbean is clean and warm. Great to wade into. Beach staff very helpful. None of that annoying loud music blaring. Enjoyed the sun, the water, and walk along the beach and Boardwalk. Hotel is clean, staff are helpful, 3 bars to serve your needs. We didn't go all inclusive, nor did we eat at the hotel. Not that there is any problem. ..just choice...grab a coffee and relax. Evenings out at Oistin's Fish Market or sampling other restaurants in the Gap. Our room was in the original section of the hotel, but has been updated. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, good balcony overlooking pool and ocean. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Have stayed here three times and unfortunately do not plan to again. It has fallen to a three star. The bar tender at the pool was great and so were the waiters at breakfast. Had to ask for face clothes each day, The ice machines were broken and my sister and I who are both diabetics came to lunch at 11.30 and when we asked for lunch their response was that lunch was served at noon. Even though we explained we needed to eat now. Had to leave hotel to get something to eat. There should be a place open all day so that one may get something to eat in a emergency.

Lounging by the pool hearing the crashing sounds of the ocean just meters away was an incredible experience. The hotel itself is absolutely breathtaking. But its the staff here that make this place so amazing. Every morning you are greeted by friendly welcoming faces who go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied and happy. When coming back to the hotel my boyfriend often used the words "were almost home". Everyone is so personal and accomodating, it was truly a pleasure staying here.

The hotel was well-located with good space in the rooms and friendly staff. The food was a very pleasant surprise. Everything from casual fare like pizzas and sandwiches to fine dining in the Pacifica restaurant was quite good. The three pools were fine for those who didn't want to brave the beach or for kids. About half the beach was red-flagged for dangerous swimming virtually every day of our visit with good cause. Very strong undertow slammed my skull into the ocean floor during our visit and the water along the beach was often bereft of swimmers. We went to other lovely and tranquil beaches nearby for swimming. The hotel should do something about their gym. There is old and minimal equipment there and it's located in a dark and humid spot with an awkward upstairs loft. It seemed to be well-used by guests. It was not up to the fine standard of the rest of the hotel.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Accra. Great beach, great staff, all kinds of restaurants within walking distance, would stay again, tripcentral.ca was bang on. Thanks Eliana with your assistance with booking our room the night before our trip, which included our parking. All went very well.

We stayed for 10 days in Barbados. This was our first family vacation with our toddler (18 months) and some other family members. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday and travelled all over the island. We will definitely be back to the island! We are an easygoing bunch but unfortunately this hotel is good in some areas but also needs a lot of improvement. There are definitely areas that can’t be overlooked so I will start with the pros. The hotel is in a great location. Lots of restaurants within walking distance (Champers is referred to as the best restaurant on the island by the locals, I don’t think they are mistaken) and Accra beach is stunning (aqua water, white sand, no seaweed and just the right amount of surf). There is a very convenient plaza right across the street. You can save a lot of money (and time waiting) by buying some duty free rum on the way in and then mix + beer across the street. Great breakfast spots and Just Grillin is delicious and fast. The pool is also beautiful and there is always loungers. Now on to the bad. First impressions were not good when we got into our room. The lobby was beautifully redone but our room was not. Our flight was delayed so we got into our uncleaned room (chunks of dirt and sand, concentrated in the bathroom) around 6:30pm. There is also a mixture of replaced items (I.e half the tiles) and many pieces are damaged (lamp shades, the sliding door shutters, etc) or moldy (our bathroom door was covered in mildew and so was our family members). Through out the trip everyone’s coffee maker, air conditioning, etc was hit or miss. No one can get hot water in the morning. We asked to have our room thoroughly cleaned in the morning and room cleaning was always questionable. Sometimes there would be garbage bags in the cans, sometimes they would sweep, etc. The one day we forgot to leave a tip our room was cleaned very well so I think it is just dependent on the cleaning person. If they don’t provide a blanket you can ask for one. Only 3/4 of our group had thin blankets on the bed. Service is very slow at the hotel. To the point where our toddler would wait 1.5 hours for French fries ordered at the beach bar while we had a drink so we learned quickly not to eat at the hotel. Breakfast is also $60 bds..it’s $20 bds across the street, faster and tastes better. The slow, overpriced items are consistent at the hotel. Nicer to get out and see the area anyway. Four individuals had gastrointestinal issues within the first couple of days while everyone was still eating and getting drinks at the resort. My husband spent a day puking (something that has never happened while on vacation before, even in Cuba). Apparently there are some major issues with water quality going on. The sewers are overflowing and contaminating everything. Our group thinks the hotel served them tap water causing these issues. Locals recommended we only drink bottled water. However, there are no unpotable water signs posted. While this isn’t a drinking water quality issue, there is a water outlet just a couple of feet up from the hotel on the beach where the board walk begins. It absolutely reeks at this location and you swim nearby to this at the hotel. I hope they can work these issues out. It really is a great location and the main area of the hotel is perfect. However, when we return we will be trying a different hotel.

Beautiful property. Lobby, grounds and pool area are very nice. Room had ocean view, which was spectacular. Sand beach was one of the best we have ever been on. Rooms were a bit tired and need some work. Fan in bathroom was non functional as it was in our friends room. Hot water was not available the first day. After complaining to desk, it did work later on the second day , but a lot of water was wasted before it warmed up. We became aware of the sewage problem in Barbados on the third day of our stay. The sewage system cannot handle the volume and several sewer grates were bubbling effluent onto the streets , which then would enter the ocean untreated. We then checked on the internet and found that the Canadian Govt had issued a travel advisory on Jan 8 in regard to the sewage problem on the south shore of Barbados. We were most dissappointed that Trip Central did not make us aware of this, since we did not go there until Jan28. The local newspapers talk about this ongoing infrastructure issue having been going on for several years. We stopped swimming in the ocean and started buying bottled well water that was imported from Tobago. Very doubtful that we will return to this overpriced and under-serviced island.

Excellent location, perfect beach, wonderful staff, great food. I love this location because it is surrounded by very good restaurants, all within walking distance and the food is very good. Transportation is right at your door should you choose to use it, and taxis are right next door also. There is a boardwalk which you can use for walking or running, and it is safe. Staff is very accommodating, friendly and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My husband and myself thought this was the perfect location to stay. Not far from the airport, and lots in the area. Groceries, restaurants, beaches, bars, entertainment. Basically had it all. The resort itself is great, very helpful, and even upgraded us to a suite in honor of my husband's 50th. It's things like that you appreciate and make you recommend and return. Also had amazing service and help from our agent Ailsa Walker at Trip Central.From start to finish she could not have been more helpful, and will definitely book through her and Trip Central again. Even recieved a call from her last night to see how the vacation went. Very personal service.

The hotel was beautiful and it wasn't too large and an overall quiet place to stay. I can't comment on the food because we didn't go all inclusive but there were lots of great places to eat. Enjoyed Bert's bar and grill, Champers and the Tiki bar on the beach as well as Just Grillin across street. And have to say the ice cream was good too.

The grounds were pretty. The beach is amazing...soft white sand and turquoise water. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and having an ocean view was great. What makes this resort outstanding is the staff. From the front desk staff to the pool man all were so friendly and helpful it made staying at this resort a pleasure.

My fifth trip to Barbados and will choose the Accra again! The facility is constantly being upgraded. Staff are gracious and friendly. Clean and attractive facility, beautiful beach on the favored south side, onsite restaurants, entertainment,
