Food Excellent with lots of Variety Only I pool, groups tend to take over pool space The big bar is central, lots of lively people All staff were excellent! Lots of noise and drinking, not sure i would go to back very noisy beach nice rough waves most of time , liitle swimming could be done. Rooms very nice,

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Bay Resort. It is small, and very family oriented. There are 2 a la carte restaurants, which were excellent. The beach is beautiful and clean. The staff is so friendly and really make a point to get to know you, especially your kids. Great place to stay if your looking for an all inclusive experience.

In over 40 years of travelling to resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico and South America I cannot recall a better all-round resort than Sugar Bay in Barbados. My wife and I loved the fact that it was not one of those ultra large and ultra blingy resorts. Beautifully maintained and lushly landscaped grounds, an incredible beach area, multi-blue sparkling waters - they were all there to be viewed and enjoyed. The food was outstanding in terms of variety and taste. Rooms were terrific in terms of space, amenities and décor. The resort itself is a very short distance from the airport and located on the fringe of the island's major city, Bridgetown. However, the major plus for our week in the resort had to be the staff and the residents of the island. Bajans are a delightful people, polite, helpful and cheerful. They go out of their ways to help you enjoy your stay in the resorts, in town and anywhere around the island. It's no wonder my wife and I said that we would definitely return to this island paradise again.

The hotel was fabulous! I knew from the previous reviews that it was a nice place but it certainly met all of our expectations and some. We had someone at the airport waiting for us holding a sign with our names on it. Check in was quick and the room was spacious and clean. We arrived late but was able to get dinner and the theme was French and we had an amazing meal. It set the stage for a great week! The staff were so very friendly and accommodating. Always with a smile and never expecting a tip. And when you did give them one they thanked you and expressed their appreciation. How refreshing. The drinks at the bars were delicious. Discovered the BBC which is Baileys, banana and coconut. To die for! The beach...oh the beach...what can I say - I do not typically swim in the ocean for fear of jellyfish but it was crystal clear and absolutely breath taking. I swam regularly every day and only went to the pool later in the day. There was always a chair to be had and you need only ask the staff and an umbrella is brought to you. We would walk the beach until you met with the boardwalk and continued as far as we could go. A great start to a day. Loved loved this place!
