This was my second trip to the Eldorado Seaside Palms. The first was in 2023 for 14 days with my wife and the second in April 2026 was a short trip to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. Dad & Daughter Only Trip! With the fantastic help and professionally presented information from Sandra De Faria, we were able to book two Beach Front Junior Suites with King Beds last minute ( in the exact location my wife and I had previously stayed) so we could enjoy the nightly entertainment from the Guacamayas Beach Bar and sit on our decks to people watch and each morning enjoy morning coffee looking at the ocean. While this location is a bit livelier than others away from the beach bar, we were looking for this level of party while there and other locations further away may be more to other folks liking and just as good. It was a fantastic trip and my daughter's first all inclusive Adult only resort experience. The food from the variety of restaurants was still great after ownership changes in the last few years and there are now More Inclusive Excursion options like a Catamaran scuba dive trip and Cenotes Cave Explorations that are included for no extra cost. The pools and grounds were pristine and the pool parties were particularly lively this trip with a large group of other Canadian's from Nova Scotia who had flown down their own bands which made it even more fun each of the 4-5 days were there! My Daughter was concerned before arrival that the resort my be too old of a crowd for her, but soon learned there was a great mix of all ages to mingle with while there. The staff and service was Excellent like before with many familiar faces who have worked there for years and can remember a face...so it felt like coming home, which I truly appreciated living and working in the hotel /resort industry for the last 40 years. Drinks were great and the bar tenders know how to make EVERYTHING you can imagine so have fun trying to pick the next one while in the pool. We had time to take in the weekly Fire Show and outdoor buffet extravaganza which was superb with entertainers that really know how to put on a show for the crowd! Each night there were other musical entertainers at various outdoor bar locations to enjoy as you moved around the resort along with a Silent Disco night one evening and acrobats during our short trip. It was a quick trip that made some really great memories for my daughter and I and we truly look forward to going back again in the future with help from Sandra and Trip Central!

Overall, the stay was conventional. There were moments during the vacation when it was impressive, however most of the time I found the resort and employees lacked the five-star polish. The greenery was outstanding, the entire resort itself was clean and my room was well-kept. The food, service, pleasantries from staff, beverages was hit and miss. I was very disappointed with the culinary selection, the food was definitely a three-star. The one spot where I found the environment to be stellar was the resort gym. The gym employee manager Leandro was very engaging and always took the time to chat. My hat goes off to him for his demeanour.

We spent a week here and had a wonderful time. So much so that we didn't feel the need to leave the resort. The food, drinks, activities, ambiance, and the guests were all a pleasure. We stayed in the garden view suites which in hindsight was a good choice because I could imagine the ones that are facing the beach and closer to the amenities could be loud. The food was great, and with the slightest bit of planning you can get everything that you need. The main buffet is smaller than some of the larger resort buffets but they have theem nights and we were happy with the selection. The beach is small and there is a crew there the entire time removing the sawgrass. We still quite enjoyed it, and a short walk out there are schools of fish. The resort is beautifully kept, peaceful, and I could see myself back again.

Nice property and big great food and stuff I would go back to this resort, we enjoyed the trip. Very clean and organized people are very nice and willing to help, lot of restaurants to chose from with great variety of food.

Rooms are a little dated so if you’re a princess don’t go. Rooms are very clean and comfortable thought. Over all the grounds are very well kept and staff work daily to insure this. Restaurants with reservations can be tricky because all the bookings start on the Friday for the following week, although if you are a late eater say 900pm most let you in without a reservation. If you love to swim in the Ocean may not be for you lots of see weed every morning but staff work endlessly to clean it and water is shallow inside the break wall. Pools are very nice and all have swim up bars. Food was very good but small portions so don’t be shy to order two entrees. I would rate the over all experience a 8/10 and would recommend this resort

Extremely lush grounds, very large rooms, and a good selection of restaurants! Beach at the Palms is nice and quiet. Resort is not too large. Great selection of mixed drinks! Transportation to and from airport were good.

Grounds and rooms are very clean and nice. All the food was good. Beach was kept clean and free of debris thanks to the hard working staff. Pools were very chilly though probably due to the cool weather in the evenings. Overall great experience and would return.

More pros here than cons. Spacious room, well stocked fridge, very comfy bed, many english tv channels, clean, nicely furnished balcony in the Premium building. Food is good quality, and bar drinks are well made at most locations through resort. Beautiful lush grounds! Many staff throughout grounds. Spotless and well cared for. Not too big to get around, nice size resort. Beach service was great. Live evening entertainment very enjoyable, like singing or musicians (no Michael Jackson show!). Held outside, no large indoor theatre. Cons. Beach is small, a bit rocky in spots, and narrow. Water is calm but very shallow, less than waist deep so cannot swim but a float can be useful. Snorkeling is ok for beginners, small fishes and a few Rays. Not nearly enough lounge chairs, and packed tight together to get a spot in the sunshine. Must play towel game before 8 am to get a spot you will be happy with. Even Premium building with its private pool had limited loungers. The building can hold almost 200 guests, but only 28 sun loungers are on pool deck, all usually reserved by 8 am. Activities really limited and not always what is listed will happen. Buffets are very small and scattered through resort, not much food choice, and needed more staff to keep up with refilling stations or serving coffee. Dinner reservations are given to members first, so can be hard to get for regular guests. Hint - just take anytime they give you and show up early, they can usually seat you early since many do not show up at their reserved time. Not all food places are open each day, so it can take some extra thought to plan dinners ahead. Pools are tiny, unless you go to sister hotel Suites side, and that pool is loud with activities. The Premium room is worth the upgrade to be able to use that pool. Concierge wanted to sell services. More pros. Service overall was wonderful, friendly happy staff. More inclusive deal adds a few free excursions if you desire to go off resort. Great shower and shampoo/conditioner/gel. Easy walking paths to beach, and carts to ride to Suites lobby, where most restaurants and largest buffet are located. Bathrooms at restaurants are all clean and cared for. 2 theme nights held each week in courtyard are the biggest buffets and well presented. Room service is very good and needed some nights if you cannot get into a restaurant. Heard great things about the spa services. The Mezcal bar has some of the best creative drinks we've ever had! p.s. Air Canada actually served free beer and wine this year on the flights and lots of movies to choose. Summary. Would prefer to see a large central buffet with more selection that is open for all meals. A larger size pool with more loungers available would be great to have. Unfortunaltely the beach won't improve. It was a great week and very relaxing.

The grounds and beach and food and resort staff were all amazing. We stayed on both the Palms and Suites side and both had its perks. Palma was better for the non party type but not ideal room layout if you have accessibility issues. Restaurants were easy to get into, even at nearly full capacity. And the food was just amazing. All staff were incredibly accommodating and always asked about allergies or sensitivities. The vegan restaurant was amazing too. Finding special coffee had its challenges but machine in room made a good basic black.

Hotel grounds were very nature-centred which is amazing! Very peaceful and quiet, lots of bali beds and places to lounge by the water. staff were extremely kind and attentive for the most part but waiters can forget about you when dining halls get busy. Room was nice and clean with a comfy king sized bed, but we found that the blankets were just sheets instead of duvets which is not ideal. We also found that they do not switch out sheets and pillowcases daily and they only remade the bed with old sheets which was not the greatest either. The food was amazing at the italian and mexican restaurant, but the buffet is a great safe choice too. The breakfast buffet was our favourite due to the make-your-own omelette bar. Overall, we would come back again!!

Big old hotel but very clean and tidy. Service was great. Beach was awful. Swimming, snorkling not existant, very shallow with some construction in the water. Big hotel with carts going around all the time. Nice jungle area with lots of wild life and pretty flowers, very fresh air.

this resort is amazing with lush gardens, best food ever and service to match. most a-la-carts require no reservations. The arrival at cancun was event full as we were stopped at customs with having half a pack of cig over our combined limit and it cost us $99 can . BEWARE. The staff was amazing, the food was amazing, the room upgrade we received was amazing. The only negative was the lack of bar at the reception for arrival or to relax during our stay. the other negative was the lack of communication between sunwing vacations/and Lotus. We missed our orientation due to this and important info regarding this resort and activities.. the drinks were all topshelf dreinks and were amazing

What an amazing resort ! The grounds are absolutely stunning , the palms are so beautiful and so well kept , the rooms are massive and beds very comfortable. The food was also great, the steak at the Italian is a must and the Flower pot drink at the Mezcal bar is so yummy . Every single day the workers met you with a smile and a Hola . The drinks were delicious! I cannot say enough positive and I cannot wait to go back

This is one of the best resorts I have been too. From check in to check out they went above and beyond. Food was great and wait staff were fabulous. Grounds were beautiful kept by a fabulous team. Great party or quite spot for 2 this resort has it all. We would definitely go back

This is what I found positive about this resort: The grounds are very well maintained, everything has been recently renovated, and is in perfect condition. Customer service is excellent—the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit outdated by design, but they have been recently renovated and are very clean. The linens and towels are fresh, and there are enough beach towels available. Cons: The food selection at the buffets is poor and does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Also, the beach had a lot of seaweed and was not cleaned daily. During our 10-day stay, the beach was not cleaned for three days in a row (August 9 to August 12) making it impossible for guests to swim.

This resort is beautiful, the grounds are immaculate and lush. I believe it's the staff that make this resort so good, everyone is friendly, kind, and so helpful. This is a large resort with frequently run shuttles to take you to wherever you want. In general the food was great, from the al la cartes to the buffets, the food was fresh, hot and delicious! We had a beach view room which meant we were steps to the sand. There are parts of this resort that are very dated and in need of renovations, however, all areas were kept immaculately clean and well stocked.

The El Dorado Seaside Palms resort was absolutely fantastic, stunning grounds, beautiful beach front room, food was very good (not fantastic in the Japanese or Italian which are the only 2 that you need reservations for), but I do have to give a shout out to the Gourmet Pub! Absolutely yummy! There were several little hideaway restaurants/bbq’s as well. This is the perfect resort for an adult getaway…..10 days was really great! The service was pretty good except for on the beach… they weren’t always around. There seemed to be little hidden spots/excursions at the resort that we just heard of from other guests…..like the flower pot drink in a beautiful bar, a catamaran excursion to another island which is all included!! Really really fantastic resort! Go!

Overall this is a very good resort! The staff are very friendly. They are very accommodating in helping you anyway they can. The grounds are always well kept and the cleaning staff do an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. The guys that look after keeping the beach area clean work very hard and I would like to commend them on an excellent job. The food choices met and exceeded our expectations. Thanks for a memorable vacation!

We chose a hotel chain we have come to really like and returned to its few properties many times over the years. The most important thing for us was the amazing food in the many a la carte restaurants that was patented as "Gourmet all Inclusive." But not any more. Only two specialty restaurants that you need to make a reservation for and the rest of the buffets are pretty mediocre and most breakfasts that could be ordered off a menu came cold and we sent back till after a two more tries they finally cooked . Absolutely pathetic and disappointing. We will never return to any El Dorado properties in the future. This is no fault of trip central, we chose the hotel. Trip central, as always, were efficient and prompt; a well oiled machine with a very knowledgeable staff.

This was my second time at this resort and it is excellent! The grounds are beautifully kept, food is delicious, employees are so friendly, and there are lots of activities to do during the day. There are not the typical “resort shows” at night, but this was not a big deal for me. The only downside is the distance from the airport (one hour and a half direct, longer if you are stopping at other resorts), but otherwise, I would definitely return for a third time!

We loved so many things about this hotel! We booked a junior beachfront room and it was so close to the beach. Actually the size of the resort was perfect as everything is within a nice, easy walking distance to all of the rooms. The food was delicious and we especially enjoyed the beach bbq dinner. The resort had activities throughout the day and evening for every type of person. We were with a large group and some enjoyed the fitness activities and tequila tasting during the day. We all enjoyed the night life from the silent disco, the fire show, mariachi band and nightly dance party at the bar. We spent most of our time at the beach. While the beach is not huge, we never had a problem finding chairs in the morning, the water was warm and clear and the staff worked hard to clear up the sargassam each morning. We did the beach and catamaran snorkelling trip that the hotel offers at Maroma and it is not to be missed. The beach was stunning, the lunch buffet was excellent and the catamaran trip was so fun. The staff at this resort is incredible. They were always smiling and super friendly. Our large group is already talking about meeting at this resort again for our next holiday together!

Absolutely beautiful from the grounds to the food, drinks, people and the beach we loved it. The beds are comfortable the cleanliness is impeccable Beach service beach grill the vegan restaurant was yummy and I am not vegan.

My boyfriend and I had an incredible stay at the Seaside Palms section of the resort. The food was great, the grounds were absolutely beautiful and lush with plants and palm trees. And above all the staff were incredible. We wanted to make a shout out to Veronica and Martha, who we grew to love. They went above and beyond to make our beach days the best! And a special thank you to Mildred for helping us when our flights were delayed, and ensuring we were set up and comfortable! Highly recommend

This is our fourth time visiting this resort. The food, entertainment and staff are, without fail, amazing. This time, parts of the resort were under construction, but did not affect the great time we had. The beaches were kept clear of the weeds, the food was gourmet, the staff was always friendly. The only downside was the mini bar service - once in our week there and room cleaning - three times in the one week.

We totally enjoyed our last minute getaway purchase through Tripcentral. They're super efficient and attentive. El Dorado Seaside was everything we were hoping for. The weather, the nature and the vibe was perfect for us to truly relax.

I was impressed all around with the resort. We stayed on the Palms side in the 3700 series rooms (not oceanfront nor swim out although we did have a nice size balcony). The food was fantastic, drinks plentiful and the rooms spacious and clean. We had no issues making reservations for the various restaurants (there was only two of us), our favourite was the Pub and the Asian. Breakfast we were at the Market Buffet and loved it. We are Canadian and enjoy my Caesar drinks. They have a no name clamato Juice and some seasoning jug so not too bad except they use salt for the rim instead of celery salt. The beach, smaller swimming area, shallow but perfect to slip into and cool off. Take your snorkelling equipment as not available to rent. The beach beds were plentiful and free (except a few for premium guests which were well labelled). Lots of lounge chairs. No crazy saving of chairs needed (although a few guests did) Lots of various areas to hang out on the beach, find your own which matches your mood. Aqua fitness with G from Netherlands was great and memorable. Lots of staff, always a greeting, helpful and smiling. A few activities during the day if you wish. OK shows at night. Nothing memorable. Didn't partake in the bars. Did hear a few guests complain about the noise from the bar at night and their rooms were moved as it went until 2 pm. Felt very safe, nice paths, great night lighting in the foliage. A marked 5 km course for joggers or walkers. A bit of a transfer trip to and from the airport (1.5-2 hours) depending if you have other guests at various resorts to drop/pick up and traffic. I would go back again. Danielle at Trip Central was helpful throughout the process of deciding which resort would be a good fit for us.

I wasn’t going to submit a review but I was asked to submit one by Tripcentral so here it is This is a beautiful facility The grounds are lush and well maintained The room was large and the bed was very comfortable Many of the staff were very friendly and spoke good English They went out of there way to make your stay something to remember Unfortunately there were many issues we encountered that detracted from this beautiful location The food was average at best the only thing large about the meals was the plate Portions were very small Most of the meals were very bland with few spices The crispy octopus at Arrefices was excellent and the tenderloin at Mia Casa was delicious and cooked perfectly several times the plates we received weren’t what was described on the menu A dry crispy steak burrito that wasn’t deep fried at all Ceviche with plain shrimp no lemon or lime marinate A dry sweet and sour burrito that wasn’t sweet and sour at all I was told they fired the chef because of complaints At the seaside market Many of the chafing dishes were empty When asking for the fish we were given a small potion of skin and bones hardly any meat The same thing with the pork A small portion of skin and fat hardly any meat The beach BBQ was decent although they were never ready for service at the 7:00 am they stated The staff wandered in with no apparent start time and they were in no hurry to prepare for the growing line up Gloria on the omelette station always had a nice smile and was very friendly The other staff were unfriendly and didn’t seem to be interested in communicating with their customers. The seagulls that swarmed the tables were ridiculous.they would dive bomb the tables taking food right off the plate in front of you Literally 20 to 30 seagulls descended on the tables when they were vacated and the staff for the most part did nothing to alleviate the problem Breakfast at culinaria was decent although the waiter we had was terrible we ordered espresso with hot water, he told us the machine was broken So he brought us a cup of the house coffee the only cup we got several tables came in after us and finished there meals and left before we were even served. I asked to speak to the manager but the waiter ignored our request after waiting for 20 minutes I asked him again When the manager came over I explained our predicament she was very apologetic and I could tell she was surprised when I told her what the waiter had said about the espresso machine being broken. Most of the time there was only 1 waitress for 500 feet of beach. The waitress did the best she could but with the volume she was expected to serve she frequently forgot who ordered what and the beer was usually not cold by the time it was delivered I found the draught beer they served unpleasant. No corona or model anywhere on the resort Fortunately our room was a beachfront so I was able to go back to my room for a cold can of Coors light. Every day there was a backhoe running up and down the beach spewing desiel fumes on everyone, very unpleasant it should have been done at night when no one was there. The lounge chairs at the beach were very uncomfortable as they had no cushions on them. We had to bring pillows from our bed everyday in order to not end up with a sore backs! Many of the staff spoke very little English and didn’t understand what we were saying so they were unable to answer our questions. This also led to the wrong drinks being served if you received them at all The fire show was great the performers were very talented I highly recommend seeing it if you decide to go there The meal was very unorganized we also noticed the the second week we were there about 10 of the chafing stations had been removed so there was less variety to choose from I talked with many people who had been to the resort several times in the past and most said that with the new management company they wouldn’t be returning This is unfortunate as it really is a beautiful property with great potential I was really looking forward to this trip but it was a real disappointment for us.

This was a nice place to stay, facilities were beautiful, food was okay, and the staff were friendly. Best meals were the lunch walk ups (tacos,burgers, hotdogs, nachos) because the food was cooked right infront of you, and got it fresh off the grill. Breakfast at the beach BBQ was also great. Food was very satisfying. I wasn't as impressed with all of the dining meals however, although that doesn't mean the food was bad. I would go back here. Alot of falling coconuts, nobody was injured, but there was definitely a few incidents that made everyone go "that was close". Maybe harvesting a few before they get to that point would be a good idea. At least the ones above walkways. 4/5 because our experience was good overall

El Dorado Seaside Palms is a great resort, great food and a great entertainment team - Luis is fantastic and such a pleasure! Tons of people we met have been repeat guests for years which speaks volume

We loved everything about the Eldorado Seaside Palms. The resort is immaculate, staff are super friendly, the food is excellent other than lacking in choices at lunch. Dinners are great. The entertainment during Halloween and Day of the Dead was beyond spectacular. The Bali beds and loungers are plentiful and one never had to get up at the crack of dawn to “reserve” one. We will be returning for sure.

This resort is a beautiful Mexican experience! The grounds are well kept with amazing restaurants. Our room was spacious and staff was super friendly. The “Day of the Dead “ celebration was outstanding!

Started by us not having a ride from the airport to the resort. Got there and it was pretty good for setting, for weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries. Not what we went there for but was alright! The staff was all over the map though... the booking staff was straight lying about proper times for dinners. The food was hit or miss. I enjoyed having a swim out pool, with bar,from the floor rooms, and the rooms where phenomenal. The people on the phone, or in the 'help' desks where terrible on help, unless you know spanish. The hotel had recently been bought out from another company, which made it not in full operation. Otherwise the hotel grounds itself was amazing and very well cleaned , they had random stuff happen at night ( saxophone was a plus) beach was great We went to the host the day before to make sure we had a bus ride to the airport, they told us they will have staff come and pick us up at 7 with luggage straight to travel bus In the am we went to the front around 645, just to be sure and the front desk staff told us it left at 630 am every morning. So the host staff do not know how to communicate one bit and we had to call another cab for the airport. Even when I broke out in hives I asked for some dry oatmeal, they said it will be ordered, yet they never did. I personally told the food delivery hours later for some and they easily brought it. Either way we did meet some great people and had fun, even with the skunks 4.5 star, not 5

Amazing trip, super relaxing. Great hotel, friendly staff, amazing food. Will definitely be returning in the future. Liked the Facebook page as well, very informative, the app is also good. We are very satisfied. Pool staff was great, especially Nuala, so sweet. :)

Nothing bad to say. Food and drinks top notch. Main buffet has lots of selection and different theme nights. Loved the beach bbq themed nights. Had a beachfront room and loved it. Resort beautifully kept. The staff were all amazing. Will definitely return to the Eldorado Palms.

I've been to Riviera Maya 9 times now - and 8 of those trips have been fantastic in every way. This place is over-rated, over-priced, and underwhelming. Nice rooms, but constant noise from late night bars and music spoiled the natural beach front. And the food is average at best. I don't go to Mexico to eat burgers and fries - the local cuisine can be/is fantastic. Just in very short supply at El Dorado Suites. To really ruin for us though - I bought a hat in the gift shop, for $60 - already money enough - and you can imagine my reaction when my CC statement comes in the following month with a $600 charge! Yes, folks - you are reading correctly! Impossible to reach the resort, the gift shop, etc. TripCentral themselves did not offer help with this problem. I am still fighting to get this fraud corrected. We also had the trip interrupted by a family emergency - certainly nobody's fault - and in using TripCentral to book tickets to the US, we were charged commission over and above the published price! Even in an emergency! TripCentral were also no help in the unused flight from Westjet. They got paid, so case closed, I guess. A very unsavory experience overall. Don't go to Dorado Suites - and don't expect any support beyond booking a trip and taking your CC info from Trip Central.

The hotel was very clean, however we were disappointed with the beach because we did not have access to the water in our section . The water and the beach sand was separated with a 2-ft concrete wall. We had to walk further out to have access to the water. The hotel and the grounds were great! I would only recommend this hotel if the beach was not an important factor.

This was my second time at this resort. I went as one of a group of nine this time and stayed in a luxury junior suite. The other 8 stayed in swim-up rooms. Enjoyed everything from the room to the views, service and food.

The staff are kind and friendly, the resort was beautiful, covered in palm trees so plenty of shade. The food was amazing, 5-star meals for sure. Loved it! Room service was great too, everything was perfect!

This resort at best on a good day is a three star resort for Mexico. It is advertised as a 5 star resort on most sites likely due to the success of there hard sell tactics to get guests to buy memberships and these poor souls in tern provide these inaccurate reviews to protect their investment. We saw many unhappy guests who were savvy to the hussle and know what a 5 star resorts entails in Mexico. To be fair, most staff were very nice and each restaurant had some good dishes but they all fell short from what's expected by a 5 star resort. All the rooms are dated and not being kept up. The smart tvs are not set up for Netflicks etc. And the wifi is too slow to cast etc. Our fist room flooded, the toilet and TV didn't work and our upgraded room had a better view but the jets on the tub did not work, nor did the slidi g door lock and again trouble with the TV. The food outside a few dishes was horrible, no fresh OJ ever and they try to pass off watered down juice as fresh. The entertainment was second rate and the personal concierge admitted their job is to sell guests memberships. We made the best of it but I will not cushion this review. We have traveled extensively and know what 5 stars requires. For the money you can do better without feeling hussled at every turn.

The good: We stayed on the Palms side versus the seaside suites and much preferred the rooms and the beautiful grounds where the palms is situated. The Palms side is also where most of the night life occurs and also where the beaches are better. Night life and entertainment were great. The food was better depending on the restaurant selected - the Asian and Italian restaurant up by the main entrance lobby were the best. Make sure to wear very light clothing for the Italian restaurant as it tends to be exceptionally warm. For the most part the service is good and the staff are very friendly. The entertainment up at the pool was also a lot of fun. The not so good: The seaweed! No matter how hard, or how many people worked each day, the seaweed did have a negative impact on the beach experience. We were at this same resort 2 years ago in early March and the beaches were beautiful. Unfortunately not this year. Both my husband and I got diarrhea - a first for the many Karisma resorts we have travelled. We spoke to another guest who had a similar story but we had not eaten in the same restaurants. Despite this we had a great holiday and would still consider going to this resort again but perhaps more in January or February to try to avoid the seaweed.

Gorgeous resort with very nice pools and well kept gardens. Was a little disappointed in the quality of food. It was good but not the usual great. Rooms are a little dated for a 5 star. The towel game is going strong for a place at one of the pools. While the beach is beautiful, there is no access by the main pool area and seaweed is abundant. The other beach areas where you can swim is only thigh deep and impossible to actually swim there. Staff is super friendly and fun. Drinks were good. Weather was perfect. They really made an effort with masking and safety protocols. If you fly with Air Canada, beware that the rep is never in the office. Covid test (antigen) was not free. Most resorts it is included. It’s a long (took 2 hours) drive from the airport but if you take a private car, it’s about an hour. Overall a good time was had but wasn’t quite as good as I expected from a Karisma resort. I’m sure this is a result of covid and I hope they can get back to their usual standards soon.

The room we booked was the beach front second level, the view was breathtaking , the room was specious and clean, the fridge was filled everyday , you have 24hr room service, drinks were great, the beach it's self was okay , it had some seaweed but the workers were cleaning it everyday , the ocean is not deep , the food was okay the best food was at the ala carte resturant , the buffet was find, the sandwich resturant outside was good, staff was great, very friendly, would have to hire more people as sometimes you have to wait , overall we loved it here and would love to come back ❤

Stayed at ElDorado Seaside for Christmas and NYE. There were theme events and big parties on 25th and 31st of Dec. Fire show from Cancun was visiting one day. Hotel has two lobbys. I was staying close to the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Maid service was prompt and at the highest standard. Hotel has clean beach with shallow water and pools. There were plenty of restaurants at the resort with decent selection of food. Pcr test for travelling is available at the hotel. One possible downside was small selection of alcohol at the resort. Wine is limited to red and white wine. Whisky – only basic choices. Overall it's a great place for vacation.

Exceeded expectations: people, food, bar, pool. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. A special thanks to our concierge, Stephan... he was amazing. Yes, we had to get Covid Tests which costs about $130 US, but that went very smoothly.

We spent a week (Dec 14 - 21) at the El Dorado Seaside Palms for some R&R and escape from life. This resort is a great place for doing just that with an amazing beach and tall palm trees throughout the resort. The resort does a great job making their resort feel like a magical place. The staff were incredibly thoughtful, friendly and helpful towards our needs and requests. Staff followed covid protocols and we never felt unsafe from the staff. We were able to book our return covid test at check in, and did not have to worry about anything as they communicated reminders through email. The food was amazing and we would like to especially highlight the food at La Carretta, which was absolutely amazing and represents the flavours of Mexico especially well. The tacos, stuffed peppers and mole dishes are a must eat, and be sure to have some churros and flavoured coffee to end your meal. The beach BBQ was a great place to have breakfast and lunch, as there is nothing better than eating on the beach! There weren't many negatives to our stay, however we need to mention a few things so future guests are aware of what to expect. First, upon entering the ocean from the beach area, there are many rocks and corals in the sand, so be careful when walking around in the water. Second, the room decor in our suite was from the late 90's and felt a bit dated, though this should was fine as we did not spend our time hanging out in the room apart from the end of the day. And lastly, when walking around the resort, the mangrove forest areas towards the back of the premium suites can have pretty strong smell from the stagnant water. This resort was an absolute dream and perfect for those looking for a quiet retreat from the ordinary. Enjoy some lime margaritas on the beach while suntanning. Sit on the swings over the water or spend the day on the bali beds (get there early to get one!) while drinking cheladas. Or lay on a hammock with a book watching the sunset. This resort is truly a hidden gem.

This is our second visit to the El Dorado, but the first to the Seaside Palms. Love the laid back atmosphere. They are doing an amazing job during this time of "Covid", making sure masks are worn in restaurants and enclosed spaces and supplying an endless amount of sanitizer. Felt very safe. Everyone we spoke to was double vaccinated and in some cases already had a booster shot. Everything at the resort was keep very clean. The rooms are a little strange in that the sitting area was totally separate from the bedroom area, and the t.v. was in the bedroom area only, along with a deep lounging bathtub. We asked for extra chairs, which did not ever arrive, so we moved the couch to the bedroom area in front of the t.v..........problem solved. The restaurant and bar staffs were excellent. Food, once again, did not disappoint, it was very good.... We will return.

EDSS, was amazing. We traveled Nov 1st-10th. Stayed in the beachfront room 3004. It is literally 26 steps from the patio to the sand. Want to acknowledge all the hard working and friendly staff. Thomas from the beach always had a warm fresh towel for us, Dani from the restaurant greeted us with a smile and Mario our conceriege who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment. You have to go to the mezcalito bar and get the chocolate pot drink. Also check out the liquid smoke drink. Both are fantastic! All the restaurants were good, I enjoyed every meal. Tip, bring a floatie for the ocean. Also painted a bowl for a keep sake. The vendor is set up beside the pool store. He has great prices and makes your creation look like a masterpiece. Overall, worth every penny. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Hotel was nice, swim up suite is great with pool bars you can swim/walk to .Rooms are nice, but loud air conditioners and bar fridge Concierge services, but they don't do to much... talk a good plan, to no effect A Lot of un-maintained palms, so be careful of falling fronds and coconuts. Water at beach is only a couple of feet, so if you like sitting instead of swimming, you will like this restaurants where OK, nothing to special and Mexican should be sooo much better in Mexico, poor service and food, with all kind of people waiting inside the restaurant for a table.. on large guy would not even move to let us out.. Italian was the best! You also have to get up early (5.30am) to get bed on beach and by 8 for a decent chair.. No bars in lobby 's, and very little entertainment, just band or singers in sea side bar... not enough chairs and tables for everyone.. We liked the hotel, but would not return, as there are too many mosquitoes and they do not spray.

We went to Sensimar Seaside Suites a little apprehensive since our previous few times in Mexico were at another adult only all inclusive. I am very much a "if it's not broke, don't fix it" kind of person, but here we were trying something new. My initial impressions were not great but looking back, I was comparing my stay here to my previous stay at the other resort where I was very familiar with the surroundings. At Sensimar/El Dorado we felt a little lost. It's not big as far as the number of people, but the resort overall is quite large so navigating around was not always easy at first. But as the days went by and I got to talking to other guests and hearing their reviews on the restaurants and becoming familiar with where people were gathering after supper we started to really enjoy ourselves. The food was absolutely incredible. I think I would rate it higher than our other experience. If you like meeting others, this place was perfect. I like making new friends and there was no problem her because you saw people frequently. We played beach volleyball every day and the beach itself was great. I went snorkeling a few times and when the water was rough I stayed within the barricaded area where the waves were calm and saw plenty of fish, and when the waves were calm on our last day there I swam out to the wave breaks about 400 yards from shore and there was treated to an incredible amount of different fish. It was excellent. I went kayaking one day and enjoyed that a lot. My wife was more comfortable relaxing and reading on the beach so she got to enjoy that. The loungers were hard to come by if you were not up early but as the week went on the resort got less full and the beach seating became more available. We did not sit by the pool at all so I have no comment on that. The service on the beach as far as drinks goes was lacking, but I had no issues going for a short walk to one of the bars and refilling our drinks. The pina coladas were great and others seemed to enjoy the icebergs a lot (margarita beer mix). Our room was a little dated, but we spent little time in there. The beds were super comfortable which matters most to me. We took advantage of the jacuzzi tub in our room a few nights and the showers were big which was great. Overall we had an excellent stay and would gladly go back.

Just got back from a 4 night get-a-way at this resort (Dec. 28-Jan. 1) and my husband and I were very pleased. The resort is very quiet and caters mostly to couples which was perfect for us. The drive from the airport was pleasant although it was almost an hour and a half long. When we arrived the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The lobby of the Sensimar side is very dated which we noticed made some visitors concerned. Our room was not ready as we arrived at 1 pm but we were encouraged to go eat and enjoy the grounds. We ate our first meal at Culinario which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend their ala carte breakfast as well, which we enjoyed daily. The service was excellent, especially Cecilia the hostess. We got into our room a little before 3pm. We were on the first floor and our room had a swim up pool which was a nice touch. The room was very clean and had a Jacuzzi tub. The jets did not work but it was great for a bubble bath. We spent each day on the beach with the exception of one day that rained from morning to night. The beach is small and protected by large sand bags so it is more of a wading area, waist deep. A lot of sea weed but the workers remove it all day and it really wasn't a problem. We got out to the beach early and never had a problem getting loungers however they were not very comfortable. Lizbeth the waitress on the beach was awesome and very attentive. We stayed in the warm ocean water until sunset each day. Little tip is ask for premium alcohol when ordering drinks as we enjoyed Grey Goose Vodka when requested. The 24 hour room service was fast, accurate and of good quality. We really have no complaints. We tipped the excellent service which appeared to be much appreciated but not expected. We normally stay at Sandals resorts but opted for a less expensive trip this time and although the facilities were a little dated, the food, alcohol and service were comparable if not better. The staff are totally dedicated to helping guests, especially the personal concierges. Sheila (our concierge) was the best help one could ask for. The grounds are very well kept, thanks to the workers. There are better beaches out there but the food and staff make up for that.

The beach at this resort was beautiful and unique with natural coral and exotic fish in the water BUT if you are not 50 + and or European DONT go here . This resort is geared towards its European visitors and the entire time we felt like we were in seniorville. No offence but we were just disappointed in the lack of entertainment and things to do in the evening . There were absolutely no younger adults (we are in our 30’s) and if you were at all loud in any way ( we had a small speaker of music playing on the beach with us ) you were complained about and talked to by staff . It’s rediculius . The worst part is I read all the reviews prior to booking and NOONE mentioned that this is geared for like retirement age and english people ( we are Canadian ) (I only mention the type of people geared to as this affected their food choices ) we were in Mexico and could barely find a freakin taco !! Everything was fish n chips and pastas . Food was mediocre and everything in the resort and it’s sister resort (one side is sensimar one is el dorado) was extremely far so it either took forever to walk there or it took long waiting for a golf cart to take you . I will say the food at el dorado side was much better .

My husband & I stayed in a premier swimup on the older side of the resort and absolutely loved it! The rooms were redone but you could see the age but did not affect or impede our stay or enjoyment. The food was absolutely Devine for an all inclusive & the service with many many kind staff was great to have!!

We enjoyed our stay greatly. The Sensimar is a traditional type resort, great staff, clean, good amenities. And having access to the sister resort, Seaside Suites balances out nicely as it is new and very modern - but also great service, food, also very clean. Entertainment options also good, restaurants very nice. We would definitely return.

We had a great time. Our room was spacious including a large balcony. The staff were so friendly with everyone always saying hola. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment, the food was delicious and the bartenders were great at their jobs.

We had 10 days of perfect weather, amazing food & drinks, wonderful massage & aqua therapy & had our every whim looked after by Arturo, Anna & Ivan! We could not ask for more & highly recommend every Karisma resort we have been to!

We were amazed at the quality of the place! The food, staff and cocktails were definitely 5 star and worth going for - not at all what you’d expect at an all inclusive. Go for the swim up suites and the more attractive Sensimar side. (The Eldorado side isn’t nearly as attractive). Local excursions into neighbouring Tulum were easy to coordinate independently.

This hotel has been one of the most wonderful places I been ; we’ve been here for 7 days and the room ; pools food mostly gourmet; pool beach and service from the front desk room service and restaurant service was great ; and actually we went to do couples excursion ; shopping at playa del carmen and next day going to the Marina beach to enjoy with rtv speed boat and seadoo and again it was amazing ; i know than in México many persons doesn’t like to go because news said to much negative problem ; but I’ll tell you if you just gonna go to the resort and staying there until your last day you for sure gonna be okay ; nothing going to happens ; this side to f this beautiful country is pretty secure and well take it and secure with alots cops all over ; now if do you wanna go out of your resort for f do you speak spanish you have not problem at all and if isn’t just go away during the day and you gonna have always an excellent profesional service to taking care of you . Thanks everyone In sensimar sea side suites all of you guys are amazing .

TIP: Joining the facebook group for this resort prior to the trip was VERY helpful! If you go for the rooms, you'll be slightly disappointed. The Sensimar side of the resort is older, so there are mature palms, but the rooms are dated and dim. Rooms: Originally, I was in 4028 (end of the hall), overlooking a pool. I was afraid it was going to be too loud, but there was barely anyone in it! (Tbh, I didn't even dip my toe in it because there wasn't much action.) I did find the AC a bit loud and midway, it completely broke, leaking, and shooting out ice. However, the problem was rectified and we were moved 2906, in the Premium Beach Front block. (I wouldn't write a negative review based on broken AC, unless the resort did nothing to solve the problem) I also found the AC in 2906 a bit loud, it sounded as though it was raining outside, but hey, at least it was functional. Being a beach front room, I think it would've been good if guests were able to exit their rooms via the patio door instead of walking all the way around the front. TIP: If you like to watch tv before you go to bed, I'd recommend you download some movies. I don't know if they have satellite or dish, but the quality is quite bad and the channels are very limited. They seemed to play the same movies every other night. Not a big deal for most, I'm sure. Service: Most of the staff were very friendly, greeting you with a "Hola" whenever they would cross paths. About half of them would go above and beyond their usual tasks. Personal Concierge: Absolutely useless. Alejandro, our original concierge, didn't offer us any tips or extra info. Booking of the 2 restaurants was soo archaic and can only be done during certain hours from 8:30am - 2:30pm. Concierge literally has to call each restaurant, where the phone seemed to ring endlessly. It was a time killer! Alejandro also said "restaurants are fully booked". However, when we went for our reservation at Klay Talay (Asian), it was only 1/4 full! So if you can't make your reservations, literally just walk in and ask if they'll accommodate you. You can use any of the concierges if yours is closed or unhelpful. Again, the facebook group for this resort was much more helpful than the personal concierge. Food: My favourite restaurant, that you didn't need any reservations for, was without a doubt Mia Casa (on the Seaside). Food also seemed to taste better there. Other honourable mentions goes out to: Seaside Market (for breakfast), Beach BBQ (breakfast & lunch, primarily for the convenience and atmosphere), & Culinarium for lunch/dinner. I didn't like Driftwood (lunch), Klay Talay (Asian by reservation), Seaside Market (for dinner, no variety), or Arrecifes (dim, nursing home atmosphere). You definitely won't go hungry! Overall, I think your experience varies on what you order. Sometimes there are inconsistencies in terms of how one dish tastes/looks depending on the night. It may say roasted chicken on the menu, but you end up with stewed or something like that. There are soo many bars on this resort, it's quite possible to not even go to half of them during a week's stay! Drinks: Most of the drinks have added syrup/sugar, so I learned to ask them to make a drink less sweet. If you want the Top Shelf liquor, you have to ask for it, re: Grey Goose, Don Julio, etc. Crowd, Noise-Level, Activities, Shows, etc.: I'm not sure if I went during low season, but the crowd was a bit older and things were quite tame. I usually make it out for every nightly show, at other resorts, and this time, I was only able to make it out to ONE. They were quite late, ~9:30pm. I usually tend to participate in all pool-side activities, but for some reason, I only made it out to one. I think it's because the beach was just so nice, that more people tended to migrate there, instead of the pools. Animation team wasn't super aggressive in recruiting people to participate. Crowd was older, primarily British, then American, lastly Canadian and most people seemed to keep to themselves. Overall, I'd return again and would recommend it to friends/family with some comments on what to expect!

Resort was great! Do not let the smaller entrance fool you, the resort is large beautiful and fantastic staff. The entire staff friendly, kind and enthusiastic. Food was fantastic and never had difficulty finding food, even with dietary restrictions. Great time, only down side is slightly rocky beach. I would go back in a second

The views from the new buildings #6 and #7 were spectacular overlooking the ocean!! Each room has its own infinity pool.The room itself is largerr than most hotels have.The restaurants on site are all gourmet. We did not have one bad meal at all. The food is exceptional. The grounds are immaculate. The staff is friendly. The different beaches, pools and places to lie around are incredible. The hotel by the Karisma brand is a must to stay at

This was a great resort on many levels. Lots of shade so that our tender skin could get out of the sun and not turn cherry red. We usually took a bed with good shade that looked out on the ocean but was close enough to the main pool to here what was going one. The best bar tender is at the small bar on the very end of the lazy river. He is tucked away over there but, he makes the best drinks in the hotel. If you are a big beach person, probably not the resort for you but my husband made it out to the reef for some snorkeling and said it was good. I did some snorkeling closer in and saw a number of fish but only 2 or 3 varieties. The resort is in a great location for excursions! Close to many of the day trips and of course close to Tulum and Coba. We really enjoyed the half day excursion called Cenote and Sea Turtles. Food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the pool for our "upgraded" rooms had an algae problem but, as pool owners, we were surprised how quickly the problem was fixed and since we were sitting down on the beach it didn't really make much of a different to us. The music pipped in at the upgrade pool and the Lazy River though was truly awful. The cover tracks of Beatles songs by a jazz singer just have to go! Main pool looked small but could handle a surprisingly large crowd and there were a couple other pools to enjoy anyway! We had a great time and would recommend this hotel to others!

The service was excellent at all the restaurants . Our personal concierge was exceptional. the room was perfect. overall I would say perfect vacation. If thewre was one thing we didn't like about the rsort was the beach. It was way to small and cramped. Water was not clean.

My wife and I have travelled to the Mayan Riviera several times as well as several other locations throughout the Caribbean and this was our best trip ever. This resort is perfect for couples. The attention to detail at the Eldorado Sea Side suites is exception everything from the room, to the food to the staff were exceptional. The check in process was fast and easy and within 10 minutes of our arrival we were being escorted to our room. Every meal we had was very good, and we really enjoyed the gourmet al-a-carts at dinner, we found it much nicer then lining up at a buffet every meal. I have recommended the resort to several friends and family since our return and I am looking forward to our next trip to an Eldorado property. The only problem I had with this resort is now I cannot see myself vacationing at a regular all inclusive again. It will be a Karisma property or nothing.

This hotel is great! Food was excellent, service was excellent, drinks were wonderful, lots of house wine to choose from! Wonderful, quiet, romantic escape. Grounds were very well kept. Beach is a little rocky but nice to be able to snorkel right off resort. Staff are very accommodating! Will adapt recipes if food dislikes or allergies. Italian restaurant was our favorite.

Restaurant 5* - Portions were small so you had to order 4-5 courses however the food quality and service was excellent! Bar and Staff 5* - Never had to wait for a drink, service and quality of products excellent. Hotel Grounds and Pool 5* - nicely landscaped , clean and well maintained. Service and Friendliness 5* - all staff greeted you and stated our pleasure whenever they were asked for something and was very professional, well supervised. Hotel room 4*- Our room was a little tired, lamp shades were battered and torn, no electronic safe in room, room and washroom was poorly lit. Beach swimming 3.5 * - Yes there is seaweed however resort staff work tirelessly to rake it up each morning; and in my opinion there is no need for water shoes there are adequate places to enter the water in nice sand HOWEVER the water in the swimming area is less than waist deep and is a small area so for that reason the beach is lacking in my opinion. Overall we had a very nice stay at the El Dorado however the beach swimming area and our room could not be given a 5 * review.

The hotel room, service, food and entertainment were all excellent. The only negative is the long ride to the hotel from the airport - 60 minutes via private taxi or 1.5+ hours in regular bus with a number of stops.

This hotel was great, however, the swim up pool is more like a swim through. The bar is enclosed so you cannot get to the bar by foot. You have to swim to it. Also, it's all closed up with windows so you need to talk to the bartender through a small window. The temperature of the pool water was sssooooooo cold that no one was ever at the pool stools or doing activities in the water. That part of our trip really sucked because we enjoy sitting at the swim up bar and chitchat with the bartenders and other guests. Also, there are no snack bars anywhere in site. If you want to eat, you have to go to a restaurant. There is no buffet and no snack bars. The rooms were very clean and the grounds were well kept. The food was good and the staff are just awesome. The beach is not the nicest but they do everything possible to keep it clean.

The El Dorado is a 1st class hotel in a beautiful setting! Excellent service, food and staff made this stay wonderful! It is a smaller hotel and therefore we had a chance to meet and visit with people from all over the world! The sad thing is some of the nicest people are living so far away! Five restaurants to choose from (all gourmet).

Beautiful grounds, gorgeous room, friendly staff and excellent food! The activities were fun as well....be careful of the slippery marble by the pool and in the rooms. The size of the resort was perfect - not too big, not too small. Not a crazy wacky nightlife but that was fine with us!

This was our second trip to EDSS. The resort has only gotten better since we were there seven years ago. The food was exceptional. We really like not having to make meal reservations. We received a complimentary anniversary package which included a candlelit dinner on the beach and breakfast in bed the next morning. The staff was very accomodating to all of our requests. We had a beachfront suite that was kept spotless. We ended up purchasing a 30 week Vacation Package and are looking forward to returning to EDSS and also trying the other Karisma resorts and hotels.

We returned January 30th, 2015 from this beautiful adults only resort. We had a wonderful time! The service and the people who work at this resort are wonderful! The food was great and the grounds are lush and well maintained. We had a swim up room with a Jacuzzi. When we arrived, the beach was covered in seaweed and we were disappointed, but within a day the whole area was cleaned up and the beach was actually wonderful! Many people were swimming in the crystal clear water , and little fish were swimming around our legs. The resort is pretty low key, no music playing on the beach, the main pool is small and very little activity there. The nightly entertainment is not great, when compared to large resorts, but we were not interested in that anyway. Anything you desired, you just had to ask and it was granted with a "my pleasure". Service on the beach was constant. 24 hour room service arrived within 20 minutes and was delicious, we ordered nachos and pizza in the late afternoon a couple of times, and had a wonderful breakfast as well. My friend and I also enjoyed a sky massage on the beach which was fabulous! We have been to three Sandals resorts and the service and amenities at this resort were just as good or better in our opinion.

This resort was exactly what we needed!! There was a lot to do but we chose not to do much of anything...service was beyond excellent, the best we've ever had!! I wouldn't recommend paying the extra money for the beach rooms and they do not have an ocean view, you just quicker access to the beach.

As a Christmas gift to each other my boyfriend and I decided to take a trip down south. I researched extensively for the perfect place and landed on EDSS and we were not disappointed. Unfortunately our flight was delayed and the bus ride from the airport to the resort was nearly 2 hours and we did not arrive until 2AM. Upon arrival we were brought to a room with 2 twin beds.. I was not impressed and we had to pay to upgrade to luxury room with a king bed. We were quite happy with the new room and 24 room service which we took advantage of as there was no restaurant open at the hour we arrived. The next 6 days were pure perfection. The staff was super friendly, waitresses, bartenders, gardeners and entertainment staff alike! We tried several of the restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner - our favourites were the Beach BBQ, Burger Bistro, Italian and Asian. All were so delicious! Premium liquors and beers were available at all bars and our mini fridge was always stocked. The house wine was also amazing - no need to purchase the ones they try and up sell to at dinner. There was daily entertainment at the main pool which we didn't spend much time at - spent more time at the lap pool and on the beach beds. Nightly entertainment at the main bar was always good. The rock circus show was our favourite. We really have no major complaints and look forward to our next opportunity to return to an El Dorado resort :)

Great hotel for couples celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon. Also, great for anyone with food allergies as we were asked at every meal. Service was very efficient everywhere. Pools have mostly deep water. Difficult to find shallow water if don't swim well. Beach is narrow. Hotel very insistent on collared shirts for men at dinner in restaurants. No place for good coffee. Suggest hotel add a coffee bar. Lots of restaurants and bars for everything else. However, great place for romance with whirlpool tub, lots of trees on property for walks, easy to get Bali beds, etc. Had some great food but some heavy food also.

Want to mention names before I begin. Ebaldo,bartender at premium swim up, Claudia and Christine at Naay Spa. Thanks for everything. We were here 5 years ago and a few things have changed but only for the better. New theatre and suites. Drinks, food , pools and beach were wonderful. Friendly staff and event staff ( Ivan and Theresa) awesome job. Best Guacamole ever! If the main beach is not what you're looking for, head west along the beach between Palladium and Seaside and you'll find an amazing piece of beach that cannot disappoint. Only complaint I can give is the Pub Restaurant that is a reservation only. Food was meh but mostly choice was not impressive. Hotel and staff are top shelf all the way.

We stayed in the swim up rooms and they were great the rooms and grounds were well looked after. The food was good. The entertainment was good and the people and staff were great. I would go back to this resort anytime.

We really enjoyed how relaxing this resort was. The beach side beds are so nice and comfortable. Just get out by 7am if you want to save one for the day, if you ask your concierge they can get a sheet put on your bed for the day, it makes it less sticky. The beach front jacuzzi suit was very clean and romantic. The food was quite good especially the Mexican food, it was very fresh and authentic. The food portions are quite small so make sure you order a variety of things off the menu. Just an FYI the cheese fondue from the Mexican restaurant has about 2 pounds to cheese melted with lots of meat, it tastes great but very heavy. The dress code is not really enforced, most people dressed casual for breakfast and lunch but more formal for dinner. They have made to order eggs and omelette station. The Ariccffices? restaurant has a smoothie station and a chocolate fondue for breakfast, stay away from the donuts and pastries they are a bit dry and stale tasting. Overall we really enjoyed out anniversary trip, make sure if it is your anniversary you tell them ahead of time and show proof of your wedding date they will give you a candlelight dinner and a few other perks. The 10 year anniversary special they put in your door is a 1 hour tour of the facility and a sales pitch to purchase there loyalty program. We were told to stay away based on online blogs so we did not do the tour. This is a beautiful place and I would go back.

Stayed at El Dorado Seaside for 4 days July 13-17. Hotel room was very nice with a large bed and large jacuzzi tub. We had a personal concierge who was extremely good. The highlight was a beach supper we received for free after a timeshare presentation. While we were at supper our room was prepared with flower petals on the bed and in the jacuzzi. A very nice touch for our 30th wedding anniversary. There were a few negatives however. The beach is nice but once you enter the water it is quite rocky so beware. The hotel advertises as a gourmet resort but we found the food was very similar to other resorts we have been to. We also believe we picked up some food poisoning at one of the restaurants. Not a good sign for a resort of this type.

The facilities, staff and service were all fantastic. Food at each restaurant was good, and really enjoyed lunch at the beach bbq place. We stayed in the newer wing with a swim up bar and day bed on the patio - very relaxing. When I can order a cocktail while jumping into a pool and re-surface from the plunge to see it at my finger tips, I want to cry just a little.

Food was excellent, liked the fact that we didn't have to make reservations ahead of time, in case you changed your mind or your time. Staff was very attentive and the spa... OH MY !!! FABULOUS!!!! Would definitely go back!!!

First class resort. The food was terrific and the restaurants and service were outstanding. Six different a la carte restaurants with a good variety. No watered down drinks and everyone was friendly. We felt completely safe at this resort at all times. If you can't enjoy this resort it's your own fault!

Beautiful grounds very well maintained. Libby is small & lacks a central bar area. Food was good to superb & service was excellent. Lack of beach and pool beds during peak season - book a swim up room!
