Absolutely love this resort!
This resort ticks all of my boxes. Very clean, great food, grounds are beautiful, staff are wonderful. Didn't want to come back. This was my third time at this resort. Had a spectacular view of the gulf from our balcony.

Great Family Resort
We just returned from a week at the Moon Palace Sunrise and it was a great week! Rooms were clean, grounds were clean, LOTS of food options. It was easy to get reservations for dinner using their App. Water slides, mini golf, basketball, pickleball, tennis, FlowRider at Sunrise and at the Grand, which is no charge. Buffets were a bit smaller than I expected but there are so many à la cartes, it was never super busy.

Facilities not too good
The food is amazing, but the facilities are not great. We were to have 3 rooms with either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds, but we had 2 rooms with 2 king bed and the other with one queen bed which was not what we agreed. Also, we stayed in a place called Sombreto and on the 2nd floor. The elevator was did not work throughout our 7 night there and all our luggage's were carried by hand by the staff. We were told the elevator has been down for quite a while. The staff were great and nice. Sometimes, room cleaning does not provide enough towels. The Airconditioning was not cooling even after coming to fix it. Too much emphasis on selling membership. Not a place to go for a 2nd visit.

Amazing trip with my kids!
We stayed at the Moon Palace Cancun resort fo 5 days and my kids (13, 24, and 25) were active and entertained the whole time. We had a day trip to Playa del Carmen and another day trip to Xenses and Xplore Fuego which were fantastic, and no trouble with transportation to and from the airport and resort to our day trips with reliable taxi service. My kids tried every pool and activity and all the restaurants. Great staff and service, and No complaints from my kids who want to do a repeat of the same vacation.

A wonderful family stay at Moon Palace Nizuc!
This hotel has more that anyone should ever need to experience a week of pure rest and relaxation. We stayed at the Nizuc location and I am very happy that we did. It was less busy than the Sunrise location yet we were still able to access all of the amenities of both locations. The pools are wonderful and there was always lots of room to find loungers and lots of clean towels available. The beach was a bit of a disappointment as the ocean was quite murky - but that could have been the time of year we attended (January). The service was impeccable - drinks and food by the pool all day and the buffet had plenty of options of healthy, good quality food. The rooms were fine but the layout is a bit inconvenient. We had no issue as a family of four having enough room to feel comfortable but the rooms are a bit dated but very clean. Our ocean view room was a very nice perk and it was conveniently located close to the pool and Nizuc lobby. To secure restaurant reservations you need to be proactive and call in early to make sure room is available. We were a group of 13 and as a larger family and we were able to try most of the places and all spots were a pleasant experience. The amenities at Sunrise were very fun for our two children (8 and 6) namely the Wired Lounge and the Playroom. The hotel entertainment staff also had great events going on daily such as soccer on the beach and face painting. The hotel met all of our expectations and we made lasting memories.

Nice week in the sun
The Moon Palace Sunrise was a nice resort. Lots of amenities, very clean, loads of food and drink choices, staff were unfailingly helpful and lovely, without being intrusive. It also had an app, which made it easy to order anything you needed, find your way around the resort, etc. The hotel itself is about 4km from the road, behind a gate, so if it is sun you are seeking, this is a great place to stop. If you want to experience the Mexican culture, I'd probably choose somewhere else. We did not try out the spa or golf course, but they looked nice enough from when we walked by. Things to watch out for: - long lineups for food, and for the few restaurants where you needed a reservation, they weren't easy to get. It requires booking through the resort app, and most times we looked, there weren't any times available. - expect this is at all resorts, but the hoarding of loungers around the pool starts at 7am - people throw a towel or sunscreen on a lounger, then disappear for a few hours, so by 8am, it can be challenging to find a couple loungers together. There are some areas if you pay more (I think they were called Elite or Diamond members), where some seats were reserved. - after you check-in, or if you approach guest relations with a question, you are going to get pushed hard to attend a presentation at the Grand, which is another resort on the Moon Palace grounds. They will try to entice you with resort credits and/or a day pass to The Grand (usually USD $99), but it does require you to listen to a sales pitch. I recommend reading the fine print, as in "how long does the presentation actually take our of your day", and how much of the resort credits can you use for an activity, and what tax do I have to pay out of my own pocket to use them - believe it was a 16% tax on resort credits) - we booked two tours through there: for the first, the transit didn't show up, and it took the hotel nearly an hour to sort out an alternate transit. And we had to figure out our own transit back - the hotel paid for it, but we had to organize it. For the second, the tour to the Chichen Itza ruins, it was an 11 hour tour, and 8 hours was spent on the bus (whereas the person selling the tour said it was closer to 5 hours) - did not feel the Chichen Itza tour was good value for money.

Disappointing. Not what it use to be.
This was my 12th trip to Moon Palace but my first since Jan. 2020 (for obvious reasons). What a major disappointment in almost every conceivable way. Though the cost of going has gone up approx. 50% since 2020, everything from service, room essentials, food, golf, amenities etc. has gone down hill. From blaring music at a wedding that shook our windows (from 200M away) until 11pm. Both wheelchairs we were issued came with severely under inflated tires. Our room did not get cleaned one day and the beer we requested was left on top of the dresser instead of being put into the fridge and the coffee was not replaced. The golf used to be included by redeeming "Resort credits" now its $250USD per person before 7am. The course is in great condition (as hardly anyone plays it) but the sand (mud) traps are abysmal. Unfortunately, as much as I use to love Moon Palace, I will never go there again and would never recommend it to friends like I use to.

Very nice 5 star hotel
Huge complex There are 3 resorts that you can access the Sunrise, Nizuc and the Grand. We were able to got to their lobbys and have drinks or food no problem even though we were in Nizuc and the Grand is a diamond elite. Hotel is very clean, staff is nice, food was excellent, pool area you have staff that brings you food and drinks to your chairs. The only bad thing is that there is lots of seaweed on the beach and the first 5 feet in the ocean. We stayed pretty much by the pools area due to this. You have an APP for Palace resorts that you can download on your phone, you can reserve the restaurant's from there, you can order room service, you can order coffer and etc and have it prepared ahead of time and grab and go at the coffee shop. You can also order extra towels, drinks, bed and even toothpaste or toothbrush to your room all free of charge. There are shuttles to go from lobby to lobby (bus). There are also 8 passenger golf carts that bring you almost everywhere in the resorts. There is a kids pool area in the Sunrise, a surfing wave pool in Sunrise that is free. There are watersides in the Grand but these you have to pay per day. There were live bands playing songs by the pool from around 1PM to 3PM in the Nizuc that played 80s and 90s music which was nice instead of the dj music. Overall very nice and highly recommend.

Not impressed for a 5 star
Resort is great, lots of food options, pools are nice. However rooms are dated and small, no sound proofing, you can clearly hear people walking past at night. I had to complain twice about loud drunk groups of people. I would stay at the Grand Moon palace, a newer hotel, rooms are spacious and modern.

Awesome Stay!
The food at the Al a carte restaurants was amazing. We ate at the buffet once and was ok. The Starbuck-like coffee bar with unlimited gelato, truffles, chocolates, cake, fresh sandwiches, crepes was a favorite for my spouse and son. The resort is huge but we didn't mind walking. There are a lot of trolleys. Rooms were quite clean and no musty smell. Internet was solid throughout the resort. Pool and bars were great. Pools are beautifully designed. We ordered room service quite a few times since we have a toddler, it was definitely a perk. Only turn off was the number of times the promotional people kept calling our room after requesting not to in person.

Beautiful resort!
A great resort where you get 3 in 1. Lots to do for the kids, restaurants were wonderful.. or favorite was Tavola at the Grand. Nizuc pool on the west side was out favorite with a waterslide and swim up bar. Sunrise was ultimately the best, better than the Grand in our opinion. Rings are small. We were a family of 4, with 2 double beds. Hubby and I did not fit in the double, so I slept with a kid each night. Finally got a rollaway on night 4, which helped, but no space to put it. The Grand isn't so grand..a lot of people coming and going and the other 2 buildings were just as beautiful. The waterpark wasn't as much of a hot as we expected. One waterslide you had to have a 2some, and another was down for the week. Staff were amazing..friendly and informative.

Wonderful experience!
This resort is large, well maintained and focused on catering to its guests. The food was high quality. We found many of the a la cart restaurants to be the best we have ever enjoyed. The staff were all kind and attentive. Rooms were clean and well appointed with CHI blow dryers, flat irons and hair products! We are planning a return visit! Every staff wore their masks at all time and there was a high attention to hand sanitizing and cleanliness in general. Antigen testing was quick and efficient! 10 out of 10 for this resort!

Please note that after checking my Visa statement, I have been charged multiple times for the golf carts. I was staying in room 7218 with Mr Ed Doyle. Our total bill should have been $410 US and it was split in two between us. Ed got charged $210 which is correct I got charged $210 two times ( incorrect ) I also got charged another four times $84 for a total of $336 US ( incorrect ). Can you please help me reverse the all those extra charges?

Decent vacation
We had a pretty good time at this resort. Overall not a bad vacation but we were missing some things to make it amazing. Pros: nice resort, good drinks, lots of space around the pools, decent food at the restaurants, 24hr room service + bistro. Access to the grand with a day pass was also a great experience to use their facilities such as the day club + water park. Cons: terrible service at most of the a la carte restaurants - dinner one night took almost 3 hrs from start to finish with 1/2 hr to 45 mins in between courses, resort was very busy and at times the bars were so busy the bartenders wouldn’t even acknowledge you until you were waiting for 10-15 mins, many areas of the resort need maintenance - cracks in the paint in the rooms, cracked and missing tiles in the pools, small things that haven’t been maintained over time, the beach was probably the worst part of this resort. I know this area has a problem with seaweed that renders the beach unusable, it does have a strong smell and when we made our way down within 30 seconds we were covered head to toe in sand fleas, not a great experience there. There is also not great night life and it gets very boring at points. If I were to go back I would spend the extra money to stay at the grand side, where the facilities are better maintained and there is more to do.

Overall Good Experience Aside From...
Hotel staff, excellent, food... 8/10, Suit comfort: 6/10. After the short but taxing travel from Toronto to Cancun with our 1.5 year old, we were greeted pleasantly during our checkin. Unfortunately we had to wait 40 minutes outside our suit because our bracelet door locks didnt work. Turned out that the door somehow shut itself and the safety chain flipped into its slot?!.. After 40 minutes the door was finally opened. Once we did get into out suit, my side of the king bed felt like it dropped into the floor below (exaggerated of course) but the springs were clearly worn out. We're not the type that like to complain, but having my 1.5 in a soiled diaper, family hangry, and the rain made the perfect storm. We asked if we can order room service from our bell man after we made it in, he said of course, download the app and or turn to our smart tv app. After he left we immediately looked into this and unfortunately NEITHER of them worked, so we patiently waited for dinner service. Lucky we had milk in a thermos for the little guy and some snacks in our backpacks. The rainbow/silver lining during all of this was after they investigated the situation, they offered my wife a spa treatment to melt some of her frustration away :) Happy wife, happy life we all say. We had arrived for a wedding, which was beautiful under the weather conditions we had. Would have been nice to have the childrens play/ water slide area open, but it wasn't. This was our little guys first 'sun' vacation experience, although we feel he had fun, but his experience could have been 10x more enjoyable we felt with further exciting memories & captured moments. We've been to two other Riu resorts, @ Dominican Republic & Jamaica, both were over the top phenomenal experiences. But Cancun Moon Palace Sunrise definitely fell below our expectations being a 5star restore. The last domino's to tip over were the batches of seaweed and diluted caribbean sea with sediment which no one stepped into. (As in, NO one was on the beach at all) Over all, disappointment would be an understatement for our first experience as a little family. Our lack of research on the part of the beach/ seaweed we take ownership of, but it would have been appreciated if Palace Resorts offered day pass or travel options to their sister resorts where enclosed or clear beaches were available. Cheers to safe travels to all, hope our experience will shed some highlights and checkpoints to tick off before you finalize your booking.

Amazing resort
I must say, moon palace cancun was an incredible resort with top shelf service. The only thing I would say is, I had to pay for an upgrade to the grand moon palace while the rest of my group (10 people) did not and were upgraded for free. That said, having to pay the upgrade did not play a role in how I feel about the trip. I would definitely go back to visit the grand moon palace! My 15 year old son thoroughly enjoyed his trip as well did I! Sean.

Moon Palace Cancun did not disappoint!
Wonderful Family Vacation! We stayed at the Moon Palace Sunrise section from April 16-April 23, 2019. It was an awesome experience. Beautiful resort- well kept, clean and stunning grounds. The food does not disappoint! Loved the breakfast Buffet, Gondola (yummy Italian restaurant -ask fro Mario -best waiter) and Momo (Japanese cuisine). There's so many places to eat! The resort is huge but we stayed mainly by the Sunrise section. Great pools, kids section is cute and the swim-up bar service was fast and drinks were delicious. We stayed in the Sombrero building which is the furthest from the lobby-it's about a 5-7 mins walk. If you prefer not to walk, they have golf cart shuttles all over the resort and to the other sections Nizuc (we went there as well) and The Grand. There is plenty to do on the resort but the highlight for our kids was the arcade (Wired Lounge). Awesome fun when you have kids aged 9 and 13. The hubby and I really enjoyed it too as it is for all ages. My daughter and I also got manicures and pedicures - staff is great, especially Magdelena and Rita. Overall, had a fabulous time and would go back. Thanks for the great service and food Moon Palace!!

Beach unusable but the Pool and Kids Activities are amazing
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The resort is huge and I didn't like how far our room was from the main building. The beach was unusable too much seaweed to walk or swim. The pool, playroom, wave runner surfing and the water slides for the kids were excellent. The food was the best I've ever had at an all inclusive (I've been to many in my time). We were tricked into taking a tour of the Grand Moon Palace with promise of free golf clubs. This turned out to be a time share pitch. This took 3 hours of our day and the sales people were aggressive. I hated every minuet of the tour/presentation and they didn't end up honoring the free golf clubs. STAY AWAY from the Grand tour. The kids and our family enjoyed the vacation. If you are a beach family this is not the place for you. If your kids love activities and sports and you want good food this is a perfect spot.

Relaxing vacation
We spent a week , Aug 17th to 24th in Moon Palace Cancun. It is very nice resort and service there is excellent. There was a little hiccup getting there. First our flight was delayed for an hour which happened also on the way home a week later because the flight from Toronto was delayed again. Not sure why but it seems the same flight Air Transat TS550 is delayed every Friday. When we got to Cancun the Air Transat agents at the airport told our driver that we are at Sunrise part of Moon Palace. But when we got there it turns out we were supposed to be at Nizuk. Regardless, the welcome by the stuff was just amazing and very quickly they transferred us to right section , check in was quick and we had a very nice room at great location close to all amenities. We also had extra roll- away bed in the room as we requested. We had scheduled meeting next day with Air Transat agent with all info and time of pick up on the day of departure but he was an hour late, since the agents desk was in Sunrise section of hotel not where we were staying, it was kind of waste of time to go back and fort for that meeting and kind of lost half of the day. He apologized and said he had meeting with other client at different place , so why did they schedule him to be at 2 different places at the same time? Like I said the resort is very nice, clean and service is very good from Bellboys, serving staff in restaurants, waiters by the pool, towel lady, entertaining staff etc. The only little disappointment we had was that we could not swim in the ocean. It is so polluted by seaweed that is inaccessible. We understand that is not hotels fault , it's the mother nature, but still it would be nice to be able to spend some time on the beach as well. Therefore the pools are just overcrowded and everyone reserves their loungers with towels very early in the morning. Another bit disappointment we had was a food. The buffet is quite small and did not have very much selection and La carte restaurants lack at tasty food. We were not hungry but just expected a bit more from that kind of resort. We vacationed in lower star rating resorts before in Riviera Maya and must say the selection and quality of food was much better. For example the Brazilian stake house in Moon Palace had that feel of service but meat was over seasoned and overcooked. Also we were under impression there are so many restaurants available but we quickly realized that was not the case. There were couple of Buffet in two sections of resort we were allowed to go, and abut 4 la carte but meals in la carte were just not that exciting. Also we had quickly learned that we need to go for dinner quite early,if we went later the lineups and wait for restaurants was just to long.I guess the good thing was there are no reservation required for restaurant's except the teppanyaki dinner at Momo, oriental La carte. I have to say that was actually the biggest disappointment. It was not easy to get reservation for teppanyaki dinner for the time we wanted so, when we got to restaurant and our group for the teppanyaki table was seated we had to wait almost and hour for chef to arrive and start cooking. All the tables around us who have been seated at the same time had almost finished dinner and we didn't even have a chef. The restaurant manager came after almost 45 min waiting, to apologize there was a mix up in the kitchen. When chef eventually arrived he cooked up dinner quite quickly and that was it.Just compering the experience in other resorts the teppanyaki dinner was much more fun with chef being more entertaining, it was a show and the dinner with guests engaged in entertainment etc.I had the resort app on my phone and got the message to review how is our stay so far. I have commented on situation with teppanyaki dinner but had no response. Over all it was nice to get way with family and we did have relaxing vacation apart the Air Transat being a little disorganized and a small things I have mentioned. I must mention the tripcentral.ca agent Jack was pleasure to deal with from the day we booked vacation with all information he has given us by word and email's and trying to accommodate our requests for centrally located room, roll-away bed to following up with us after we came back.

Actually quite impressed
The service staff were always prepared to say "YES" to any of our requests. We had one misleading experience with the commissioned 3rd party company selling the excursions. The table side sushi service at the Japanese restaurant could have been explained more clearly... sushi dinners did not require reservations. They could have used a bit more seafood... Pier 8 was shut down. Housekeeping staff and our pool side servers were the best. Good bang for the buck taking in the use of the other two hotels. Guadalupe was our pool side server and she was on the ball the whole time we were there... excellent service and a great attitude.

Too Many Kids!
Tripcentral had no idea to which section of Moon Palace we were going - Sunrise, Nizuc or Grand. We ended up in the Grand but spent most of our time in the other locations. Grand is a giant day care centre. Kids running wild everywhere. On top of that, all the facilities at Grand were taken up by the 1000+ participants attending an East Indian wedding. The buffet at Grand is crap. There was nothing there that any of us wanted to eat. However, all of the a la carte restaurants at Moon Palace are excellent - except there is no dress code. There is nothing like sitting next to some bum who thinks dressing for dinner is an undershirt and no deoderant. Room service was right on time but we did not receive what we ordered. Like all Mexican resorts, the staff were outstanding - with the exception of those people working the lobby. The Guest Services people, when not eyeing passing guests like a predator waiting to pounce, often sent us to 4 (yes, 4) different desks before we found somebody willing too help us with a question or concern. And, there was constant pressure to listen to their sales pitch to join their "Club." If you're looking for relaxation, this Resort is not for you. The resort is well maintained and the rooms are very nice. No need to waste money on a better room. The bars are not fully-stocked. For example, no Grand Marnier. If your favourite drink is the Golden Margarita, like me, you will have to do without. The wrist bracelets now also serve as your room key. A very convenient innovation. And, there are no towel cards to worry about either. The less stress, the better. The pool attendants were very nice and could always produce a new chair or umbrella for us, if required. However, the pool water was hot. Not warm - hot. Not refreshing at all. I really can't see us returning to Moon Palace.

Not As Expected
Had to pay for day passes ($210.00USD per person/day) to visit certain areas of resort as they were separated in 3 different classes. Beach was non usable due to heavy weed contamination. Resort credits were followed up with a 16% tax. Long waits, up to 1/2 hour or more for a golf cart taxi to get from one end of resort to the other. Food was no ore than average at the best. Constant heavy winds. Would not return.....Not worth the price paid...

Wonderful Vacation!
The Moon Palace is an extremely large resort with three sections (Nizuc, Sunrise and The Grand) with 2,000+ rooms spanning more than 3 kms right on the ocean. As the pool is right at the ocean, it was lovely having the view while lounging around the pool. We stayed at Nizuc and it was a very beautiful setting. Rooms were very modern and lovely with extremely comfortable beds. Staff were very friendly and always willing to assist. The Awe Spa is amazing and a must for anyone to experience! It is exactly that...an experience!!! We were travelling as two families and while we all really enjoyed our March Break vacation, I personally missed some things that I had had during trips to the Dominican Republic: * Given the expanse of the property, there was significant walking to all areas including the pool and meals. There were golf carts that could shuttle you and a coach that ran regularly between all three sections but a lot of time was spent getting from one place to another. * While there were a variety of restaurants, most did not take reservations so we had long waits to get in to eat especially if you went anytime after 7:00 p.m. I would have liked more options at each section of the resort. * While there were evening shows, the stages were outdoors and we had rain one day so the Fire Show was cancelled as a result. These areas were also quite small in comparison to the resort size and I found the quality to be okay on the ones I saw. I was expecting more for the families to do in the evening after dinner. * While there were many activities such as aerobics, zumba, volleyball etc., I didn't find that the staff tried to engage you into getting involved to have some fun around the pool. Our last day however there was an awesome St. Patrick's Day party in the pool featuring a live band, dancing, games etc. that was amazing the entire day! Such a wonderful way to end our vacation! I would have enjoyed seeing a little more of this type of fun throughout the week. * Resort credits are not as easy to spend as one may initially think as you are capped as to how much you can use for any area (i.e. $300 for spa and in the gift store you can only purchase a very small selection of items) and you have to pay 16% on anything you use. That being said we did the Dolphin Experience which was unbelievable...a must for any family and ended up costing us approximately $71 US which was significantly cheaper than the usual $149 US per person for other experiences in other countries as we were able to use credits! I also had a facial at the spa with my daughter which was fabulous! * Despite the abundance of chairs around the pool, there are not enough and we found we had to get up early and put towels on chairs just to have a spot. * This year beaches along the Mayan Riviera are having difficulties with tremendous amounts of seaweed washing ashore making swimming in the ocean uninviting. The Moon Palace is definitely a beautiful resort with amazing grounds and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great resort for the whole family
We stayed at the Palace section of the Moon Palace and it was fantastic. The resort was clean, the staff were friendly, and there was always a large selection/variety of foods to eat. The pools were heated which was nice on the cloudy days and lots of available pool chairs well into the morning (for the sleep in days). The kids area was appropriate for many ages with a lazy river, wave pool, and splash pad. Inside the playroom was an arcade, bumper cars, high rope obstacle, and many other games. The room was nice with comfortable beds, a stocked fridge, and Chi hair products! Overall I would return to this resort due to the close proximity to the airport and the wonderful experience we had.

Excellent Resort
The hotel was very well appointed. Restaurants were better than most I have experienced in other '5 star' All Inclusives. Golf course is beautiful as is the affiliated course at Riviera. My only complaints are that it was frustrating attempting to arrange adequate tee-times for golf. As well was dissatisfied with the shuttle service back to the airport at the end of the trip. All in all though I would have to say that the trip provided excellent value for the price.

Stunning!
The Grand at Moon palace is beautifully designed, and runs like a well oiled machine. They are also incredibly accommodating and planned out for disabled persons. We were given the use of a wheelchair 100% of the grounds and many of the pools were accessible this way. Food was amazing, and we didn’t even scratch the surface of restaurants and activities that were available to us. The resort is impeccably spotless, as was the beach. We had a stormy week, so the sand was churned up by waves so visibility close to shore was low, the beach collects seaweed, but was constantly being removed. We loved it so much, our family booked for spring break while we were there, and we will definitely be back ourselves!

Grand Moon Palace Review
Our overall stay at the grand moon palace was great. There were both positive and negative comments about the resort however the good outweighed the bad. We booked with trip central originally planning on staying at the Moon Palace Nizuc. Once arriving in Cancun we were directly transported to the grand moon palace from the airport. When I asked why we were not going to Nizuc they told me they overbooked and upgraded me free of charge. I am extremely happy they did this because the grand is definitely better. Not that Nizuc or Sunrise were bad.....they we’re just more dated the new grand Hotel. We unfortunately could not get a room until 5 PM. We arrived at the hotel at 12 noon so we had to kill five hours with two young children walking around the resort. Honestly I think they were trying to find us a room. I had to somewhat be aggressive and request a room because I had two young children that we’re getting tired from being up since 4 o’clock in the morning . Once I did this I got a room fairly quickly. The overall grounds at the grand we’re beautiful. The pools, restaurants, hotel facilities such as fitness room and spa were sensational. The resort was not as lush as a mature landscaped property however the overall cleanliness was superb. The food was excellent. With lots of restaurants to choose from. I never once felt ill nor disliked what I eat. The drink and food service was very good and respectful. Unfortunately it took three days for them to clean my room. I had to complain three times in order for them to do this. I have a feeling I may have been off the grid and they may have not realized I was occupying this room. Once I spoke to a maid on our floor we never had an issue again. The night entertainment was scheduled somewhat late for my younger kids. My children being six and eight years old had a difficult time making it to 9 PM for a night show. If the shows were scheduled more towards 8 PM they perhaps would have seen more. But there were lots of other things for them to do The Kidzone, wave pool and splash pad were excellent features for our family. This kept our kids occupied many of times throughout the week. My wife and I were able to relax in the sun close by and feel secure knowing the kids were nearby. The large waterslide Park was shut down. Apparently the entire thing has to be disassembled in reconstructed. It is not a matter of it being unfinished it simply is deemed unsafe according to the hotel. The hotel in the contractor that built the waterslides are in a legal battle trying to resolve things. I found this out from one of the hotel managers. Once the slides are completed one day this will definitely be an extra added feature to the overall hotel. There was never an issue trying to find a lounge chair around one of the pools. You do not have to get up super early to save a chair. Never once throughout my stay did I ever feel unsafe. Certain ground floor rooms had their own pool. I will definitely look into the cost what one of these rooms would’ve been in comparison to what I paid. The stretch of beach that this hotel is located on is not The greatest. The sand is OK however the water has a lot of seaweed and not the greatest for swimming. If you’re looking for beach destination I would not recommend this hotel. When checking out on our last day there was a little bit of a mixup. We were not on Any air transit list to transport us back to the airport. I was in the lobby checked out well in advance. I had to visit the air transit desk to try and find out where my ride was back to the airport. Nobody had me on any of their lists. I was extremely stressed out and scared that I was going to miss my flight. I was picked up at the hotel by another air transit van that seem to have me on a list. This again was after I called to find out what was going on. We cut it very close however did make it on time for our flight. Everyone else that was on my flight was transported to the airport at least a half hour before myself. At the end of the day I made it and everything was fine but there was a little bit of a scare. I will certainly return to the grand moon palace one day. I am very happy that trip central suggested this resort to me. I spoke with others on our flight that stayed at other resorts in the Mayen. One of the disadvantages was the fact that they travelled over an hour after the flight to get to the resort, the moon palace is only a 15 minute bus ride from the airport. I think this is an excellent thing to note when people are asking about Mexico.

Wonderful Resort
Just returned from a 7 days stay at Moon Palace, Nizuc (January 15th-22nd) Really loved the resort, service is great, staff very polite and courteous. Food was amazing, the best of all the all inclusive resorts that I have being. I spoke with one of the managers at the buffet restaurant and she made sure the chef would prepare food for my 6 month old baby The resort is massive, lots of walking, they have buses and golf carts but still had to walk quite a bit. The pools are nice and clean but the beach not the best, lots of seaweed. The Grand was my favourite section, I would definitely return and stay there. Heated pool, huge water park, bigger, newer and nicer rooms. More restaurant options and apparently better food (didn’t know it could get better) but didn’t see the ice cream cart around the pool area like I saw in the Nizuc and Sunrise The Nizuc was smaller and more fun, with great activities around the pool and beach. Sunrise is where the kids playroom is nicer and bigger and they also have a kids pool/splash pad We didn’t get bored not even in a rainy day. I was prepared to be bombarded by the time share people, after reading some reviews. It was not bad at all they offered a breakfast at the Grand so you get to go there without paying for the day pass, since I knew it was a “trap†I just declined and had 2 little kids with me so wasn’t difficult, they never asked or offered anything again Check in was fast, empty room, they offered some snacks and drinks which where great. I guess I arrived at a good time. Check out was long and busy but the staff was making sure to get you trough a bit faster. I recommend the resort and would go back

Had a great time!!
Let's start with the beach. There was a lot of seating especially at The Grand section. The beach sand was white and very fine. The water was good, some seaweed and sea shells in the water. The weather was a bit chilly and overcast the week we were there. The beach was pretty empty and the only busy pools were the ones at the grand tgat were heated. I stayed in nizuc section but went to the grand section every other day. You have to pay about 30 dollars US to go. The activities were plentiful and there was always something to do. Volleyball, biking, ping pong, Flowrider, etc. Staff was fairly friendly and food was pretty good. They ask about allergies but it's hard to find a staff member who knows the ingredients in a recipe. I'd be super happy if there were an ingredient card! Great time overall.

What a place!!!!!!
Thanks to the excellent recommendation of Marnie Savic we booked in here for our 40th anniversary with some friends. We were not disappointed! We consider ourselves well travelled especially in the Caribbean and Central America areas and we have to say this is the best resort we have ever stayed at! Forget your preconceived notions of “all inclusive†resorts this place breaks all the rules!!!!Excellant food steaks and beef included, premier liquor, excellant wine selection, clean facilities, well appointed rooms and above all the friendliest staff we have ever encountered!!! We would also like to recommend Marnie Savic for your travel arrangements. From our first impression on the phone to the last email we received she was a total professional and answered numerous emails from us with a reassurance and a positive get it done attitude!!! She made us excited about checking out this resort. We even had an upgrade to a beautiful room in a much desired location of the resort which I’m sure she had a hand in to make our celebration more memorable!!!Thanks Marnie for all your hard work!!!!

The Grand is aptly named
This was our first vacation at an all-inclusive resort. We stayed at The Grand at Moon Palace. Check-in was easy and fast and the room was fantastic! Everything looks brand new (due to the fact that it is). Amenities and service was super! We met Nestor at the buffet the first day and he became our Buffet Buddy because he was so darn sweet and welcoming. The biggest bummer was that the waterslides weren't open. On the plus side, a trip to Ventura water and amusement park was free. This is one of the few resorts that do NOT punish single parents by charging 2 adult rates. I would definitely would go back.

Beautiful resort with lots of things to do. Staff is amazing and the rooms are incredibly clean. I did not c one bug and they have a pot purri in the building so no mouldy smell. Regretfully we had a room with a tub in the middle of it with no privacy which was weird with my 13 year old son. The king size bed was way too soft as well. The food was good for our one week stay but some restaurants were very difficult to get in2 especially the Japanese restaurant. Regretfully the beach was ruff with a lot of seaweed. Not persuading at all!!!
Trip overall was fine but way below our expectations. Flight was OK (we paid extra to get exit row!!), pick up & drive to destination and vice versa were well arranged. Reception and check in was good and we were happy with the rooms and their cleanliness. Food quality was terrible (Except for the Asian restaurant which was pretty fine) and same or worse than the mid-class Cuban resorts. In general, hotel staff in part were not welcoming and sometimes very rude. I relayed three matters (Buggy drivers & restaurant staff) of misbehavior to hotel PR staff. Hotel had three lobby and the "Grand" was much better than ours (Sunrise).

Something for Everyone
Big is an understatement. This resort is made up of three separate residences: the Sunrise, the Nizuc and the Grand. A stay at the Grand allows you use of the two other resorts but not vice versa. We stayed at the Grand which is still in the process of being completed. The construction left is related to aesthetics with respect to landscaping. They are minor and nature and will not affect your stay. The Grand has seven restaurants within the Lobby that caters to anyone's taste and two restaurants close to the beach. The restaurants include Le Chateau which is a French restaurant for adults only, Mexican, Italian, Lebanese, Asian, CJ Steakhouse and the general buffet. The other two include a Peruvian restaurant and a Carribean restaurant. The resort has three nine hole golf courses which are spectacular, a bowling alley, two sets of tennis courts at different locations, a teen club or lounge, two children's playrooms, a waterpark with a lazy river, use of bicycles, a health wellness pool, an adult only pool, an Olympic size pool, a family pool and several other pools, mini golf, an outdoor theatre and an indoor theatre. Since the resort is spread out into different buildings, they have their own transit system using golf carts. The rooms are spectacular and are opened with your resort bracelet. The standard room includes an espresso machine, a fully stocked fridge, a bar, a bottle of champagne, a bottle of wine and a candy drawer. There was never an issue finding a chair, obtaining towels. Staff was always pleasant and helpful.

Completely recommend!
Moon Palace is an incredible stay at one, play at 3 resort! Blown away by 16 restaurants, and only 2 require reservations! So many pools, once the Grand is complete - Wow - a water park! We loved the many sport activities for the kids, plus a trampoline/bouncy castle, large ball that you get inside and bump each other around...The beach is such fine white sand. And the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The hotel credit is a nice idea too. The only room for improvement we could suggest, is an option to have one-on-one information session of the resort, after day 2 we had things down. It was only after we were leaving that we learned of a hotel app that told you the entertainment schedule.

Another wonderful week at Moon Palace!
This was my 4th time at Moon Palace and again it did not disappoint. A smooth flight, transportation to resort and check in. We did not like our initial room placement and they moved us right at check in. As we had been here before, we knew where we wanted to stay! Although there is construction occurring, we did not mind as we knew the balcony size was better in that section (Grand) than at Nizuc. We bypass any "tour" or "credit access" as we know it is a hard sell for time shares. A polite no and we were in our room. Room is big, spacious with all the amenities from home you need. Though not really a beach resort, the beach is fine and long to walk. It is the ocean that is not great. Murky waters due to the coral reef. But a pool resort is surely is. Every type from loud and busy to quiet and relaxing. Something for everyone. Great food, top shelf liquor and service was fantastic. They really do go our of their way to make sure you are happy. Sad to have left Moon Palace again this year. Two thumbs up trip for us!

I didn't golf but while my husband did I enjoyed a wonderful morning at the spa. Our room was equipped with its own snacks daily, mini bar, coffee and the turn down service with the nightly piece of chocolate was the icing on the cake. So many pools, so many restaurants, so much to do , so little time. Barb and Doug Hickson

Amazing resort, staff, programming. beach? weather? proximity to airport?
Every thing about the resort, staff and programming is beyond expectations and we were happily surprised/pleased with how much all levels of staff went to ensure we had an amazing vacation. However, I am going to highlight that this resort does not have a good beach - couple this with cooler weather during December and January, it makes for a poor choice for kids. If I wanted a 5-star resort only I can crash into any 5* resort in NA. I was there to also enjoy the beach, open air, scenic views. Cooler weather and lack of a decent beach is an issue I intent to address for the next vacation. Lastly, proximity to the airport meant frequent planes overhead. I will consider destinations further south in December - January and visit a Moon Palace that has a nicer beach. Cheers, M.

I was very excited after speaking with Susan. After she went down 1 month before we did she answered some of our questions. I asked her to book some restaurants for us. She said that she emailed our info. To Moon palace and that it was looked after. When we went down we were disappointed to find out that you can not book a la cart restaurants except for two. When we got there we found out they were already booked. I called Susan and spoke to her that night we arrived. She explained that she would contact the rep at Moon palace and get right back to us. I never heard from her again. We had to wait 1 1/2 to 2 hours to eat dinner every night. I am surprised that Susan did not know this....she should have!!!!!!I I would not recommend Moon palace at Christmas ..it is too busy. Susan explained that our room wouldn't be that far from our kids.. She booked them in the cheapest area at the far end of the resort. She should have explained this. I would have gladly paid more to have them closer. Susan did do a great job putting us in an area with our own pool, The public areas were so busy you couldn't get a seat so the kids had to sit at our pool. Do not go here at Christmas!!!

I want to begin by saying the people and direct staff were very friendly, and accommodating, the servers were welcoming and wonderful. I found the resort too large, very disorganized and very fragmented and the service was average. There seemed to be a disconnect of communication between the three hotels within Moon Palace that often lead to much frustration . Sometimes my room was cleaned other days it was not, sometimes I received clean towels and others day I did not. The drinking glasses were not cleaned or washed they were wiped with a dirty towel

Really nice sized rooms and everything worked perfectly. Outdoor washrooms were well kept. Deluxe room balconies are a nice size and we were fortunate enough to have a partial ocean view. Restaurant food was quite good and quick, there was always someone there asking you if you need anything. We loved the brand of coffee they served. It was well worth making a reservation at the golf course for the two restaurants there, they were superior. The location of this hotel was so close to the airport which made it great, just 15 minutes away. Unfortunately, there was a bit of seaweed but it wasn't bad & it didn't prevent us from going in the ocean. I would return tomorrow if I could!

Wonderful Time!
My sister-in-law and I stayed ay Moon Palace for a destination wedding and had a marvellous time. First of all, I must say that it was the perfect place to have a wedding and obviously many agreed with us as there were so many beautiful weddings taking place every day. We stayed in a new building called the Grand and were amazed by the size and quality of the room. It was clean, well decorated and was fully equipped with everything we needed. We didn't have hot water the first day but as the building was still being finished, there were plumbers on site and the problem was attended to right away. The resort was very spacious and there were restaurants, bars, pools and more everywhere you looked. The beach was literally just steps away and was nicely raked and cared for. The food was delicious and the variety was endless. The people who worked there were extremely friendly and always helpful. Overall, I was impressed with the resort and have already talked my husband into going with me the next time. This resort is for everyone, young and old!

Paradise!
This was our first experience as a family (we have 3 children) at an all inclusive resort and boy were we impressed! We stayed at the Moon Palace Sunrise resort and loved every single minute. The staff were more then helpful, respectful and it was obvious that customer service is of the highest priority to most of them. The food was delicious and there was a huge variety offered (even my extremely picky eater found food he loved to eat!). The only down side was the somewhat pushy sales people we encountered on our very first day. We were extremely tired and hungry when we first arrived, hoping to skip through check in quickly we were talked into an "information session" even though we were reluctant to commit to it (it was at a set time the very next day) we were strongly encouraged to go. When we met with them it was quickly apparent that this "information session" was more of a time share or next trip planning session. This was definitely NOT what we wanted to do (90 minutes of our vacation time we were not interested in giving up) When we said we weren't interested we were lead into an office while staff spoke in the corner with her manager. Finally the manager spoke to us and I just stated firmly but politely that we weren't interested. It was fine in the end but it did but a slight damper on the experience. But I'd have to say that over all we thought the experience was amazing; the view was spectacular, the entertainment was talented and the staff eager to help to make our visit an exceptional one! We loved Javier at the Barracuda steak house...we had the pleasure of his service on our first night and our last night!! We would love to return one day and highly recommend it for families and couples!!

My golf vacation
I absolutely loved everything about the resort. The amenities, the people and the cleanliness of the entire area. The food was fresh, diverse and the dining experiences in the numerous restaurants was exceptional. Oh, and the servers: wow, nice people who encourage you to have an exceptional experience when there. I thought the golf courses were exceptional as well. Never disappointed.

Overall - OK.
We chose this resort for the golf course - so that worked out well. Overall though....food was disappointing - very much so actually. We would have been in Cuba for all I knew. Customer service makes this resort though. The people are outstanding. Beach terrible (which we know), pools - ok, spa - excellent. No Mexican character...very disappointing from that perspective. Entertainment was hit and miss - if you knew where to go in which case you needed to check daily as the info was not readily available on the TV or handouts....for a large resort this would have helped.

Third time in Mexico, least favorite spot
We chose this resort for the golf course and for that reason it worked out well. Overall our stay was pleasant as we were not expecting a spectacular beach - but the pool areas ended not quite as expected. Sunrise is too crowded, never a chair.... Nuzic is nice enough but still quite busy. Grand was the best for us but a long way from our room in Sunrise. The staff is what makes this resort - they are all amazing. Thankfully as I think it may have been a big disappointment without the great service. The spa was excellent - nothing less than great. Golf/Spa pool area also great. Disappointing: 1. FOOD - definitely not even 3 star - except the Italian place at the golf course - it was exceptional. 2. Didn't once see a Mexican band. We could have been at any destination....no distinct Mexican character. Sadly, we came back missing Mexico. 3. Communication RE entertainment - nothing displayed on TVs or handouts...had to seek out the info daily...not so fun on such a huge property. Trip over to Beach Palace was worth it - nice little spot over there, but busy too.

Great resort!
We went to moon palace on July 13 and stayed for 7 days with 14 family members. This resort was amazing for us! It is very large, the largest resort we have been to! However the buses and carts are fairly easy to access and we loved walking after the large meals! We would give everything about the resort a 5 star except for the beach. The water is murky but there is an area where you can walk out into the ocean for a fair length on a sandy floor. The food and drinks were very good. Our favourite restaurant was Momo's (especially the tempanyaki table). Some of the shows in the evening were good, and others were just ok. My one recommendation for the resort is to have a better teens club. They need to have more activities that are suitable to specific ages (eg. 13,14 year olds) and different programs for 16,17 year olds). All in all, from the ages of 9 to adults into the 70's, all had a good time.

Overall nice resort
Beautiful resort that was well maintained and exceptionally clean. Rooms were nice however beds were very small not 2 queen size so not ideal sleeping for family of 4. This was huge resort that seemed like 3 resorts in one. It might not be ideal for elderly and with really young children if you want to explore all the restaurants at 3 sections. Our kids really enjoyed sunrise and nizuc kids club. The sunrise kids club was amazing! A la carte and buffet restaurants were very easy to get into if you go at 6pm. If you go after 7:30pm it was very long waits. The time spent during check in process was atrocious and needs improvement. Beach was beautiful and did not smell like seaweed as I saw in other reviews. There was seaweed in water but my family still went in and enjoyed. They had huge tractors that tried to remove some seaweed.

Clean, Nice Staff, Fantatic
Food was amazing, staff was great, and the room was clean. It was a little far from some of the items, so there was a bit of a bus travel on the paid trips, but really was a great time. Although the resorts are split up, the bus's are always there to pick you up.. You're never waiting more then 5 minutes.

Not impressed.
We did not like the distance from our room to anything at the resort. With a 3 and 6 year old it was 500m to anything. Waiters always pushing to drink. There was no personel feeling when dealing with staff. They lie about how we can spend resort credits. Room service was a 2hr wait. Don't think we would ever go back.

Big, Clean, resort
Me and my husband loved Moon Palace. We stayed at Nizuc lobby, which we though was the best out of the three. It is medium sized, not too crowed, and can easily access the other two lobbies. Sunrise was good because it had more restaurants. What we didn't like *The only thing I didn't like was the murky ocean water, where I would have liked to swim in, but we were aware of this from the many reviews we read. *Romantic Dinner was mediocre *expansive. *The 90 min presentation. They were forceful and rude. Restaurant recommendations - Brazilian Steakhouse - is so awesome. We went twice - The golf course Italian restaurant - was good, but the waiter was understaffed and service was not good. Had to wait a lot. You have to make reservation in advance - The steakhouse by Sunrise poolside at night was good. - The Mexican place at Nizuc for dinner. We enjoyed Mexican good - The taco bar at grande poolside is small, but there "octopus taco" is so amazing.

We LOVE Moon Palace!
We went to Moon Palace 2 years ago and loved it so much we came back this year with our 6 month old! The resort is only about 10-15 minutes from the airport so you don't waste hours on the bus getting to and from. Both times we were transported with only Moon Palace guests so no other stops along the way! There are LOTS of food choices (13 restaurants or something like that), and you don't need to make reservations for the a la cartes. You can also eat at the a la cartes more than once, unlike other resorts I've been to. The food, even at the buffets is fantastic. There are a couple 24 hr coffee shops with ice cream, desserts, fresh fruit popsicles and fresh crepes! So much food you could eat all day! We tend to spend most of our time in the heated pool near the Grand area, so not sure if there are other heated pools, but huge bonus when travelling with babies/small children having a heated pool. 24 room service and $1500 resort credits (when staying for 7 days) are awesome. We didn't do any excursions this time, but did a couple last time and you only pay 16% tax and use the resort credits for the rest. Excursions using resort credits are limited, but I think still a good selection. Both times we enjoyed a massage at the spa using resort credits. The staff compared to other resorts I've been to are very friendly! When eating at buffets, often a waiter/waitress will carry your plate back to your table for you and pull our your chair! Every time any staff walks past you anywhere on the resort, they always acknowledge you and say hola! There is a pillow menu! You can order different pillows: lavender, mint, memory foam etc. They also have a 'turn down service' at night time which is an extra perk. Even though people place towels on chairs early to reserve chairs poolside, we never had a problem (in the grand area anyways) finding pool chairs. It would be nice if they enforced the 'no reserving chairs' rule however. When relaxing by the pool, there are waiters/waitresses getting you food and drinks so you pretty much never have to get up if you don't want to! If you're looking to swim in the ocean, this may not be the best resort for you. The beach has a lot of seaweed that floats in the water close to shore so we didn't see a lot of people swimming in the water. They do a great job of clearing the seaweed that washes onto the sand though so you can still walk along the water! We can't say enough good things about this place! We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing vacation. Be prepared to gain a few pounds from all the food ;)

The best there is!
Have visited Moon Palace two years in a row and haven't been to a better all inclusive. Entire staff is excellent. If you're a golfer introduce yourself to Adrian the starter, he's the absolute best of a great staff resort wide.

Fantastic Family Vacation
The Moon Palace exceeded our expectations overall. I can't say enough about the amazing service from the flowers and cool towels we were given at reception to the private check in area that had drinks and snacks which were a pleasant surprise for everyone after the long flight. The hotel was only 15-20 min drive from the airport. Every single staff member were incredibly polite, friendly and genuinely looking to make your day better. We travelled with 8 kids ranging from age 1-10 and the kids club at both the Nizuc (smaller club) and the Sunrise (about 5 times bigger with a climbing zone, theatre, video games and a ton of activities) were a huge hit with all the kids. The staff was very interactive and actually played with the kids. the teen club was filled with an arcade and video games for the older kids which was fun for the dads as well! Food was fantastic and not having to make reservations was a pleasant change and very relaxing. Favorites were the grill by the Nizuc pool which had grilled chicken, steak, burgers and fish daily, the Brazilian steakhouse, Momo Japanese cooking tables - great show and delicious food! Only downside was the pools were not heated (not a issue for the little kids but the older ones and adults found it too cold to go in) and some issues with booking the golf on the resort credits. They told us that they were booked solid for 2 weeks and the first tee time each day was 3:45pm which would barely give you 9 holes before it gets dark. So we had to pay extra baggage fees to bring down our clubs and we were only able to get one round in after spending over 2 hours fighting with the booking agents and the managers. Booking everything else was no issue and its much easier to call 4444 to book spa packages instead of waiting in the long lines at the main lobby. Be sure to ask about the hidden fees for the excursion packages booked with the resort credits (ie. towel or transportation fees that aren't included). We did the dolfin trip and although it was very expesive $150 pp (and no kids rate) it was one of the best ones we have ever done and there was alot of time spent with the Dolfins. Otherwise, the resort was beautiful, clean, very well kept and we had an amazing time. We are looking very forward to going back to this resort within a year so that we can use our remaining resort credits. I highly recommend this resort for anyone with families.

3rd stay at Moon Palace!
We have loved this resort so much we went back a third time this past week. The food, service, room was fantastic as usual. Yes, there is some new construction going on near the Grand but so many other places in the resort to enjoy a great view. The food at the rest. are great and we enjoyed the Momo and Italian at the golf club. As well a great steak at the steak rest. Best fish tacos at the outside bar/grill at Nuzic pool. Smooth easy check in. Yes it is not the best water on a beach, but not the fault of the resort. Just sandy flow in from a reef off shore. Loved our stay and will go back a 4th time! Bar staff at the Sunrise awesome! Professional yet engaging with us. One suggestion would be more indoor entertainment. With the small stage area at Sunrise one would think a nice Mexican band a few nights a week would be welcome. Same entertainment (supposed to be karaoke but the same guy night after night not sharing the stage!) is tired the third year in a row!

Loved Exploring each Palace Resort
Great food. Very Clean. And we totally took advantage of the reciprocal arrangement they offer... allowing us to eat and swim at all six Palaces in the area (too bad they no longer offer the free shuttle service from Palace to Palace). We explored both islands, Cancun, Cozumel and Playa all from our 'home' base of a 'new' Palace for the day.

Beyond Great
I went to Cancun for a medical vacation. I stayed at the moon palace and the resort did all they could to be of assistance. I would order room service because I was bed ridden for most of my stay. They would bring me my food and ask every time if I needed anything else or if they could do anything at all to help in any way. The hotel customer relations would also call once a day to see if I need anything extra sent to my room. They found out when my appointments where and had a wheel chair and carts ready at my door for me to go. Food was always good in the restaurants and room service. The rooms where clean. Staff very friendly.

Great resort!
There are three lobbies: Grand, Sunrise and Nizuc. We stayed at Grand but you can go to the other two as well. The room was incredible, marble flooring, glass showers, in-suite hot tub, free liquors and wine, huge patio, etc. Pools are great too, so many options. Our only complaint was the food, quality was well above the average but not a lot of variety. Overall, it was a pleasure staying at Moon Palace.

Great Resort!
Great resort. Room and hotel were clean. Most of all, staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a large property with 4 different hotel "blocks". Sunrise is the centre and largest of all. The Flowrider and kid water park are there. Nizuc is a quieter location with a water slide but not much else. One facility is adults only and I'm not sure about the 4th. Ask for a room in the location you want or you will be taking the shuttle a lot which isn't that bad because they run every 10 minutes. The food was good with lots of choices. The resort is out of the way of the main hotel area and very secure. The beach was private, without people trying to sell you things. Sunrise hosts a mini-market every Thursday for those who are looking for authentic souvenirs so you don't even have to leave the resort. Can't comment on excursions as we didn't do any. Just wanted the sun and relaxation.

Great resort!!
This was a great resort with all to offer. Although Mother Nature did download a lot of rain, we did get our fill of great golf. Great food and love not having to book restaurants (except at spa/golf course which I highly recommend for either breakfast or dinner) Love the people The only thing to keep in mind is that they do have a process of passing you through various departments - it is all related to selling you weeks. I recommend just going to the vacation planners and only attend the selling meeting if you are interested. Don't get discouraged as they are doing their job I also recommend that they put the tee times on a global website so we can see availability - the week we were there, there was a group of over 120 golfers on a golf vacation that chewed up a lot of the tee times. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time FYI - don't go for the beach if you want to swim in the ocean All in all a great trip. Be patient and you will enjoy!
