The hotel was older so if you are use to 5 star it is not for you. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. I read other reviewa that were not true. There is a free shuttle from airport to resort you just need to look for the company you flew with when you get off the plane. There was always a large varitey of food for breakfast, dinner and supper which was very tastey. When you arrive to your room there are two bottles of water, you need to save your bottle and fill it up yourself on the bottom floor of your hotel which is not a big deal. The beach view and access is amazing and the two pools are great with a swim up bar. My husband and I would go back to this hotel without a doubt ; )

My girlfriend and I are were looking for a last minute get away to escape the brutal Toronto winter we barely survived. Price was our main concern this time, and when we found this last minute deal in Mexico we packed our bags and hit the beach! After going to nothing but resorts, we loved the "hotel" life. Everything is so close, you don't have to hike for miles for a view of the ocean or to get to the pool. The hotel is a little shabby, and yes there is no air conditioning, but we were on the third floor with a great view overlooking the pool and the ocean. The breeze and the fan in the room were enough to keep us comfortable. And falling asleep to the sound of the ocean every night was a dream come true. The beds were fine, not just foam on concrete as in Cuba, the washrooms were clean, there was a coffee maker in the room, but never any coffee (just to tease you lol), but no problem, we took turns going to the lobby and bringing coffee back to the room for our morning fix while we watched the sunrise from the balcony. The food was better than Cuba and DR, but not as good as the last trip to Mexico we took when we stayed at a 5 star. But we were never hungry and always found something we liked and sometimes something we loved. The staff were friendly and courteous, very polite to the single ladies, they didn't hound us or any of the other single ladies (and there were a lot of us!) met lots of ladies travelling in groups and by themselves, and a lot of them return every year, all ages, and from all over the world. We felt safe getting on the busses for trips into Cancun for dinner and shopping, and drinks of course! If you are not too picky, and are looking for cheap and cheerful, this is the place for you! We are hoping to return soon and bring more of our friends!

The hotel is run down and in need of renos and updating. Paint peeling from the ceiling in the lobby and no AC anywhere throughout the Hotel. There wasn't enough towels at the hotel to get clean ones, had to ask for them. Pool bar closed too early @ 5pm.

The hotel staff can't be beat as they try to accommodate your every need, often forecasting your need in advance. The food in the common eating area was good and usually had some excellent options, but the jewel was the little Italy and Mediteranien returants, one of which required reservations. The beach was awesome but get out there at 10 AM to guarantee that you have an umbrella. The surf was a bit rough while we were there but you merely need to go out a bit deeper in the water to avoid constant bombardment by the waves. The rooms were nothing special but the maid service was good. If you want luxurious rooms, this is not the place for you. Who stays in a room at such a place anyway. One more thing that I also appreciate about this place over more luxurious options is the number of areas outside where you can have privacy with a chair and a drink and a view if you want time away from a crowd. All in all, the most relaxing week I have had in a long time. Tips, ask for an ocean view with a balcony. Umbrellas by 10 AM. ots of heavy duty sunscreen. A deposit for a safe in your room. A trip by bus to the city (market 28) for some excellent Mexican food and a nice day out. The Xelha tour for a day full of relaxing snorkeling and more excellent Mexican food. The rest of the week on the beach.

Knew it was a budget hotel and was far better than our expectations had a beautiful week thank you. Even knew the air didn't work we took 2 small fans with us and were quite comfortable.my 16 year old granddaughter loved it too.

Only reason this hotel isn't 4 star is because it's smaller and older but it is kept very well and has a beautiful beach. Staff are great too. Highly recommend if your on a budget. Close to the airport, OXXO across the street.

This hotel was great! the food was amazing, lots of variety to choose from. The location was perfect. The beach was beautiful. Staff was very friendly. The pool was nice but a little too small. The rooms were very clean and very tidy. My only complaint were the washrooms. Ther were very old and leaked water when you take a shower. and it was not only my washroom, i went from Sep 26-30 with my in laws and my brother in law so we had three different rooms and they were all the same. My shower had no hot water (only mine though). I would definitely recommend this resort.

I was highly disappointed in this hotel - they did not even provide water and their food choices were very limited and not healthy choices either - I will not be staying there again. Staff were not that friendly either!
